Chapter 5
Two weeks passed, Christian was stashed away. The Captain asked them not to set off any alarms and tip off Elena. Christian was staying with Kate and Ana so he could be away completely. Elena didn't know them, but he still wasn't allowed to leave and had to complete school work online. It was the hardest on Grace, she had to behave normal around her ex best friend.
She gave Elena a bullshit story about having enough of Christian. She even flashed his cellphone, saying they took everything and put him out. The school was put on notice and was told to say he was no longer a student. It was almost like he disappeared. Ana walked in and saw Christian sleeping on the couch. He looked so peaceful. She put the groceries on the counter and he woke up, "Sorry, I tried to be quiet."
Christian rubbed his eyes and sat up, "It's ok. I finished my work, but I must have been tired." She walked over, "You missed my lesson today. I was hoping you would be back in school by now." She looked at Christian's computer, "This isn't high school work. What is it?" Christian smiled and his eyes lit up like fire. "It's my business plan." Christian talked a mile a minute and explained everything he wanted to do. "I'm going to be a billionaire!" It all sounded like a foreign language to Ana, "That's great Christian! Do what makes you happy."
She went to the kitchen, "Do you want to help me make dinner?" Christian straightened up his work area, "I can try, but I can't cook Ana." She smiled, "Come on, I can show you. Lasagna and salad are easy." They started on dinner and Christian made light conversation. "Mia called me. She said she had fun with you, Kate, and my mom. She likes you." Christian was getting hard just standing this close to her. Every time she moved, brushed up against him, and her scent was driving him crazy.
Ana pulled out a pan, "She's a cutie." She grabbed Christian's hand, "Lay the meat and sauce, then noodles, last cheese, and repeat." Christian did as she said, "I like you too." Ana looked at him, "Christian, I don't think this can happen. You're 17." Christian scoffed, "Ana I'll be 18 in June and you're just 19. We've talked about this." Christian looked up at her to see her hands pressed hard against the countertop and looking down. "Ana?" Ana tensed up hearing her name. "Christian, I don't…" Christian blew up, "This has nothing to do with age. It's all Elena and you hearing what I've done." He stormed off and shut the guest room door.
Kate and Elliot walked in and heard the door slam. Elliot knew his brother and his temper. He also knew Ana was the sweetest girl ever, "Everything ok Ana?" She explained what happened. "He thinks it's Elena and it's not. It can't happen right now, not at this moment. I don't know. I don't really have experience with dating. I guess I hurt his feelings." Ana was sad, "Dinner is baking. I'm going to take a shower and change."
Elliot didn't want Ana to feel sad, "He's just frustrated, trapped in this place. It's not you. I'll talk to him." Ana smiled and went to her room. Kate placed her hand on Elliot's chest, "Let me." Kate knocked on the door, "Yeah!" She walked in and saw him sitting with his hands in his hair. "I know you're frustrated, but you can't just hurt my best friend like that." Christian looked up as Kate sat beside him, "I was a jerk, but Elena has messed up my life." Christian looked at Kate like a sister, "She also drives me crazy and I'm a horny sex craved teenager." They both laughed and Kate hugged him.
Kate tried to help, "Christian, you're more mature than this. Ana has zero experience with dating. She doesn't care what you and Elena did. She thinks she's a sick bitch. She likes you, but she's a rule follower and in her position with school. I promise you the only thing stopping her is, you're in school and she's technically a teacher." Christian looked up, "I like her Kate." Kate smiled, "I know and she likes you. Why don't you try being her friend. That's how normal and healthy relationships should start." Christian looked at Kate, "Do I have a chance with her?" Kate smiled, "Be her friend, I'll work on her, and in June, she won't have any excuse." Kate put her arm around his shoulder, "Now apologize, because she's making dinner and you weren't nice."
Christian did just that and even helped her make the salad. They were enjoying dinner together when Elliot received a call. "Mom! Mom! Slow down! Christian is fine and right here with me, Kate, and Ana." Elliot listened and eventually his dad took over talking. Elliot had a puzzled look on his face as his dad spoke to him on the phone. "Elena's husband, Linc, went home for dinner. He got wind of the investigation. That's what the Captain was concerned about. They knew because of the wiretap." His dad continued to talk and tell him all the details and it was bad.
Elliot hung up and looked at Christian, "El, what happened?" Elliot was in a state of shock, "Christian, did you ever see Linc when Elena was messing with you?" Christian shook his head, "Elena's husband? Hell no!" Elliot told them what his dad said, "Linc was in on it with Elena. They are sick fucks. He knew the whole time. They were into BDSM and he did young girls and she did young boys." Everyone was in shock. Ana grabbed Christian's hand and Elliot continued. "There was a boy who was drugged and tied up. He told Elena to get rid of the kid downstairs. Police stormed the house." Everyone looked at Christian and Elliot said, "They're both dead."
Everyone was silent and Christian finally spoke, "I can't believe it. What about the kid?" Elliot explained he was a runaway and was safe in the hospital. Ana touched his hand, "Are you ok Christian?" Christian shook his head yes, but he didn't feel anything and it was weird. Elliot and Christian needed to head home. Elliot looked at Kate and Ana, "Sorry about dinner being wrecked, but mom and dad want to see Christian." They smiled, "Of course." She walked him out while Christian grabbed his stuff.
Ana walked into the room he had been staying in. She was going to miss this and him, "Do you need any help?" Christian smiled, "Why did you ask me if I was ok?" Ana folded his shirts, "Because this is hard and you shouldn't hide your feelings." Ana rubbed his back, "I'm sorry about earlier. I've never done this or thought about stuff like this. I'm going to miss you." Christian gently cuffed the sides of her face and kissed her lips slowly and then pushed his tongue in, finally pulling back. "You won't have to miss me, I plan on hanging out with you and getting to know you better. When I graduate in June, I want you to be mine." Christian grabbed his stuff and headed for the door turning to a flushed Ana, "All mine." He gave her a wink and headed out the door.
