Author's note: Another one-shot where a girl Harry is paired isn't revealed until near the end. A little bit of bad Ginny, so reader's discretion is advised.

Mystery Girl (2)

It was Harry's sixth year and he was laying in a hospital bed in the hospital wing of Hogwarts. That was because moments earlier at the Three Broomsticks in Hogsmeade, Harry unknowingly drank a goblet of butterbeer that had been spiked with some kind of poison, causing him to fall over backwards in his chair and convulse. Harry was fortunate that his best friends, Ron, Hermione, and Neville got help from Professor McGonagall (who just so happened to be in Hogsmeade) and they quickly got Harry over to the hospital wing. Madam Pomfrey had just finished giving Harry a dose of cleansing potion to dilute the poison and get it out of his system. Now all that had to be done was wait for the potion to do it's job. Aside from McGonagall, professors Snape and Dumbledore were there to investigate what kind of poison Harry unwittingly ingested. Besides Ron, Hermione, and Neville, Ginny and Katie were the only other students there and Ginny was sitting on a stool, on the left side of the bed Harry was laying on. Katie was standing beside Ron, Hermione and Neville on the other side of Harry's bed, with the four glaring at the redhead sitting too close to Harry.

"Poppy, what kind of poison did Harry accidentally ingest?" asked Professor Dumbledore.

"Some kind of powder," said Madam Pomfrey. "After a took a sample of Mr. Potter's stomach acid out and did some testing, it was revealed to be Nellador Powder, one of the most deadly kinds of powders in our world. It would've killed Mr. Potter in an hour minutes from the moment he ingested the powder. Mr. Weasley, Mr. Longbottom, and Miss Granger were very quick in getting Mr. Potter here, otherwise he would've had to be taken to St. Mungo's if he didn't get help after half an hour."

"Was somebody out to get Mr. Potter?" asked Professor McGonagall.

"Who knows, Minerva," said Madam Pomfrey. "And we may never know."

"Which made it rather strange," Hermione explained. "There wasn't anything out of the ordinary. We have no way of knowing who had that powder with them, much less what motive Harry's hidden assailant had up their sleeve."

The four adults knew that trying to interview different students to find out who brought deadly powder with them would be a futile attempt, since it would've been incredibly unlucky that the culprit would fess up. All that mattered was that Harry was in the hospital wing getting treated for the poison ingestion. Moments later, some jogging was heard (along with worried-sounding huffing and puffing). The jogger was revealed to be a brown-haired girl with blue eyes. Katie was smirking because the girl who just arrived was her sister, Karley (because of her resemblance to Katie), a fifth-year Gryffindor.

"Katie, where's Harry?!" Karley cried, as she faced her sister.

"He's laying on the bed." Katie informed her sister.

Upon spotting Harry on the bed, Karley glared daggers in Ginny's direction (with the Weasley girl glaring right back), due to her being way too close to Harry. What Ginny didn't know was that Harry had been secretly meeting with Karley after lessons for Dumbledore's Army ended for the day. It was believed that Harry and Cho were going to be a couple, but they decided to just stay friends. A week into the summer holidays, Harry and Karley spent some time in Muggle London after Harry rented a room at the Leaky Cauldron. After reading his parents will and getting the inheritance, Harry moved out of Privet Drive for good, which allowed him and Karley more time to spend with each other. Karley and Ginny glaring at each other was a clear sign that they were rivals, which started when they were eight when Ginny and Karley competed in a contest for kids at a ministry formal (since Karley and Katie's father, Kenny, worked for the ministry in the Department of Magical Games and Sports). Ginny was determined to win first place just so her hero would notice her when she got the chance to meet the Boy-Who-Lived, while Karley was more easy-going and just participated in the contest just to have fun. Ginny ended up getting fourth place while Karley got first, and since then the two have been at each other's throats, with Ginny always trying to get a rise out of Karley every time she got the chance despite Karley trying her best steer clear of the Weasley girl. Naturally, that wasn't easy because of the two sharing a dormitory in Gryffindor Tower.

"What the heck are you doing here, Weasley?!" snapped Karley, much to the amusement of Ron, Neville, Hermione and Katie (due to their smirks). Even the adults present were amused because they couldn't help but smirk.

"I should ask the same thing about you, Bell!" Ginny retorted.

"Hey, I happen to be Harry's girlfriend!" Karley revealed, shocking the adults (as Ron, Neville, Hermione and Katie were the only ones in the room to know).

"I just so happen to be... his friend." Ginny replied.

"Don't be absurd, Weasley!" Karley shot back. "You don't even know Harry."

"I actually know more about Harry than you'll ever know, Bell!" Ginny growled, hoping to intimidate Karley.

"I meant you don't even know the real Harry!" Karley clarified in an agitated voice. "He told me things that you never bothered to find out and it's none of your business to even know anyway."

Ginny was about to come up with another retort when some stirring was heard. It was Harry moving about in his sleep, a clear sign that he was going to be okay. He was also mouthing something, but either no words came from his mouth or he just wasn't speaking loud enough to be heard. If Ginny noticed what Harry was trying to say, she didn't acknowledge it because of how desperate she wanted to marry her hero.

"See? Harry senses my presence!" Karley told Ginny in a matter-of-fact voice.

"Karley!" Harry mumbled. Then he repeated it in a more clearer voice, "Karley!"

Karley gave off an ecstatic squeal, as she covered her mouth with her hands in excitement. Ginny got up and ran out of the hospital wing, trying very hard not to let anyone she her beginning to tear up. Ron, Neville, Hermione and Katie were smirking as they watched Ginny joggin away to who-knows-where and cry her eyes out.

"Oh, to be young and feel one's keen sting!" Dumbledore responded in a rather disappointed voice (which didn't go unnoticed by the other adults.

"Perhaps we should Mr. Potter and Miss Bell some time to themselves." Professor McGonagall suggested.

Everyone left the hospital wing, so Harry and Karley could be left alone. As soon as it was just them, Karley began giving Harry kisses all over his face and cheeks. Harry felt a smile forming on his face as he opened his eyes to see the outline of Karley, resulting in him wrapping his arms around her and gave her a hug. With that, Karley continued giving Harry kisses over his face to show how happy and relieved she was to find out that he would be alright.

The End!

Author's note 2: Yep, this was another one-shot where I paired Harry with an original character. I'll leave it up to you to imagine who may have spiked Harry's butterbeer with the deadly powder. I'll also leave it up to you to decide what Ginny did after fleeing from the hospital wing.
