I don't own For Honor or Percy Jackson I only own my OCs
"And here we are again my readers! For your reading pleasure I have for you another chapter of Son of Fire AND a little extra chapter in the form of a story idea! I thought it would be better for me to post the idea along with the chapter of a pre-existing story so I can expose it to the most people without dropping one of those "Update Chapters" that we all hate so much."
"Well it was anyways before the time limit hit so you will have to go find it should the Original do something with it."
NJred2000 (reply by Slim A Lou Prime): Can you feel the irony! It would be more ironic if Artemis herself caused Russ/Atol's hate/fear of women because of her crappy/non-existent parenting skills. Then again the same could be said for the other Greek gods.
"And so begins the pole of the worst greek parent Zeus is in the lead manly because most of greek mythology equates to and I quote 'Zeus stuck his dick in it.'" Rogue shouts from the corner holding a bundle with a little blond haired baby that grabbed at his mask.
Crusader walks in and looks over with a very concerned look, "Is that who I think that is…. Rogue…." Only for Rogue to glance up as Crusaders head promptly exploded, the baby giggling as Rogue picked her up and started to pat her on her back.
"There, my little one, you will get your time to shine soon!"
I would not put money on it if I were you. Given that the greek demigods are mostly go-getters throughout the books. I mean they really don't change the gods' minds about doing something unless they stop or get something that changes their mind. At this point Zeus and water god boy are dead set on attacking the knights. But yes they will have to help in the war against the knights. Also it might be a little hard for them to speak with God given there is no Earthly way for them to get to Heaven.
Alright ima level with you my guy. I don't like the Wu Lin faction (Rogue: He is just mad that the Law bringers are still getting nerfed). I think that money and dev time could have been spent on more knight, Viking, and Samurai heroes then just adding another faction. In light of this I have little to no plans to add the Wu Lin into the story. Yes the Greeks are pretty weak when you think about them, given that they cannot/refuse to use modern equipment makes them weak to people who do. That and the small fact that "Mortal" weapons still work on demigods. There is also the small part of them having to deal with the titans and that one tree that is no longer working.
"RIP Thalia." Crusader added as he pulled out a large knife and scrapped it across his left shoulder plate.
Well Russ/Atol did not really make an exception for the Wolf girl. Its more along the lines of she forcibly mated ("Raped." Rogue whispers, holding both of his hands over the ears of the baby on his lap. Crusader quietly loads a large shotgun with silver and iron buckshot.) him. Atol would kill her on sight and Russ would run away. Russ is somewhat ok with the ice dragon because she is not a human but still has some fear as she is female. Atol doesn't like woman no matter what race, he also doesn't give a flying fuck what other people think about him. Now for Linda, it's more of Russ has been around her for so long that he has gotten used to her. Though he is still afraid of her for being a woman, just slightly less than anyone else.
Ok that's the end of that one. God bless my guy!
Monster hunter (reply by Crusader): "I understand that search all too well my friend, it's what led me to Slim's page ( and discord) but what happens to poor little Aithne isn't up to me, but I'm sure some good fortune may flow her way given time. As for the Blood Games, give Slim some time like every other person is working or going to college, so stand by or perhaps join the discord and help expand the story." Crusader pulls his helmet up to a drink of water then smiles as he puts it back down. "But that's a story for another day."
Gilgamesh50 (reply by Rogue): "Also Gilgamesh how is Babylon, Anyways, As for the mother thing I would have to absolutely agree." Rogue says sitting down with the small blond child resting on his lap a binky in her mouth with a stuffed toy sword attached to it. "When a child breastfeeds from a woman it doesn't even have to be their mother, a chemical is released in the brain of both the mother and the child this gives a more family-like bond that would not have happened for someone who was not breastfed."
"This would lead to Jessica and John being more like a family then Hestia ever could, at least naturally." Rogue says sticking his finger out for the little emerald eyed girl to grab and play with.
"Wow you would be a good swordsman." Rogue queued at the little baby before lifting her into the air and throwing her up then catching her.
Now onto the story!
'I admit that I have been in a few odd places in my life, but this place just took the number one position on my list.' I thought to myself as our team walked through the Abyss.
It was a dark world that was constantly moving. It was as if the world around us was flowing downward deeper into the pitch-black darkness below us. I was probably never going to get used to the fact that even though the terrain around us was flowing downwards we were unaffected by it. I was expecting to feel the pull on my feet like I would if I were standing in a shallow river but that was not the case. It was almost like the land beneath my feet was flowing underneath a very thin sheet of invisible glass.
I felt my arm being tugged on causing me to look up from my observations. Russ was looking back at me along with Lana and Lord Commander Vortiger. I smiled nervously. We each had a hand on the shoulder of the one in front of us. My hand was on Russ', his hand on Lana's, and Lana's hand on Vortiger's shoulder. Lord Vortiger didn't need to have his hand on anyone since he was the one navigating the Abyss. As Lord Vortiger told us we needed to keep a physical grip on someone to keep ourselves from getting separated. Even looking away from the group and having my mind wander to the world around us was enough to drag me behind everyone else.
As Lord Vortiger explained to us, the Abyss was a world of little logic and reason. Going up could mean going down, something that was short was in actuality was very long. Without the ability to navigate the abyss getting lost was extremely easy and very dangerous. Some of the creatures that called this place home were extremely powerful, some being more powerful than gods, according to Lord Vortiger. Getting lost and running into one of these creatures was very possible and without the ability to navigate the Abyss would mean certain death.
This was why we all had our own hands on each other's shoulders, keeping our physical contact which grounded ourselves to Lord Vortiger. So long as we had a keep on each other and by extension him we would be fine. We had been down in the Abyss for a few hours now and I was looking forward to being back in the normal world. Having the sun back on my face would be welcome compared to this place. Lucky Lord Vortiger informed us that we were nearing our exit. A few minutes later a swirly black portal began to open up. The Lord Commander stood by the side allowing Lana to exit, then Russ, and finally me.
In the next moment I once again beheld daylight and the greenery of a forest. I fell to my knees and hugged ground.
"God's blessings the normal world at last!" I cried from the ground.
"It wasn't that bad, John." Lana commented.
"Yet I still do not look forward to traveling though the Abyss again."
Lord Vortiger exited the portal behind me, it closing soon after he exited the Abyss.
"It's not for everyone." Lord Vortiger added walking past us. "Even Black Priors are put off by the Abyss at first." He paused to observe the area around us from the cliff side we ended up at. He pointed to the mountain in the distance. "The Iron Fortress lies just over that mountain. We shall reach it by sunset."
"Couldn't have gotten us closer." Lana asked, disgruntled with having to walk such a distance.
"Not with you three." Lord Vortiger informed the female warden. "Besides, our enemy most likely detected my rupture into the overworld. Best to have them search an area with some distance from our true objective." He turned to face us. "Our goal is to help Young John here reach the fortress, with him it will more than likely open the gates for us, from there we will make our way to the core and use this."
The Black Prior reached into his coat and pulled out a tube by a handle. The tube itself was about the length of his for arm, the two ends of the tube where metal while the center portion was made from some transparent material. I noted the nuclear symbols around the upper parts of the tube. Whin in the tube was some kind of white ball of energy that was shining and almost looked to be spinning.
"What is that?" I asked standing up.
"It's a high-grade magic core." Russ answered, seeming shocked. "One like it provides backup power to the Varley should the Fusion Reactors fail. The amount of power in the tube is enough to power the United States for generations."
'Ok… that's a good reason to be shocked.' I commented to myself.
"Quite right, Russ." Lord Vortiger added pleased by Russ' explanation. "We will use this to jump start the fortress' core and hopefully it will have enough power to teleport itself to more friendly lands. After that I will have to talk John's father out of killing me." He finished letting out a soft chuckle.
"Sounds simple enough." I summarized.
"Hopefully, it stays that way." Lana whispered.
Lord Vortiger put the magic core back in his coat. "Let us make tracks young knights, we have much to do."
The Lord Commander turned and jumped off the side of the cliff. We each looked at each other before we each went up to the side of the cliff to see the Lord Commander standing at the bottom of the sixty-foot drop unscathed and looking back up at us waiting. We shared another look before we each decided to find another way down.
We all turned to find another way down but we did not get far. A large shadowy hand grabbed us and pulled us down the side of the cliff. I would like to say that I did not cry out in surprise when it grabbed me but I would be lying. Lucky for me both Lana and Russ also gave out a surprised based cry as they were pulled down with me. In the next moment we were set down on the ground with Lord Vortiger giving us an amused smile.
"Sir, with all due respect. Warn us next time!" Lana yelled her cheeks slightly red.
Lord Vortiger maintained his smile. "I will keep that in mind for the next time. Now let us move."
Our leader began to move, and we followed him. As we moved along my thoughts drifted to the fortress we were heading towards. I was hoping that having this fortress back in legion hands would help the war. Though something did not sit well with me. During my vision I was attacked by something in the fortress' throne looking room. What if something similar was guarding the fortress all this time since its loss. Would Lord Commander Vortiger be able to beat it?
I quickened my pace to catch up with Lord Vortiger. "Sir, can I speak with you?"
"Go ahead." He answered.
"During my meeting with the other Lord Commanders about the Iron Fortress I skipped over a part in my vision that didn't seem important."
He spared me a glance before looking ahead again. "That so, what makes you think it's important now?"
"I…I have a feeling that something dangerous is living in the fortress. Just before my vision ended I was attacked by something."
Lord Vortiger hummed in thought. "It is likely that something has taken to calling the Fortress home since its loss. Even with its ability to move itself something could have snuck in during its charging phase. Though I do wonder what it could be. You said it attacked you at the end of your vision?"
I nodded.
"If what attacked you does exist and was not a part of your vision as some form of warning or what have you. Then this creature must be territorial enough to not allow any other creature into it's home. Which in turn means that it must be strong enough to keep other creatures away. Or we are dealing with something more sinister."
"Like what?"
"The unknown young Cross." Lord Vortiger answered. "How can you prepare for the unknown? One can only turn towards God when faced with the unknown. It is by faith and steel that the legion has survived for so long with its countless enemies. Remember these words when you are faced with the unknown young Cross."
I nodded in agreement. "I will take your words to heart, Sir."
He returned the nod.
I let myself fall behind him again, joining the others in our walk towards the mountain in the distance. Hopefully this would not take long.
Markus was pacing in the knights' underground base just below their castle. His son had not returned home last night. Normally he would be out looking for him, but he chose not to worry about it. Well, he was trying anyway. He knew his son would be safe in the valley and that the Valley's defenses were on high alert after their most recent loss and Artemis known interest in entering the Valley in an attempt to kidnap one of the knights, one of his son's friends if he was not mistaken.
However, what truly had Markus concerned was the lack of reports coming from the Valley's forward outpost and lookouts. A day ago, they were reporting enemy movement, yet the scouts had yet to find any signs of sufficient enemy movement. Yet the reports kept coming. Markus had ordered the Valley's defenses to Defcon 4, their two allies also following their knightly ally's example and put themselves on combat standby. As of that moment the whole Valley was ready to repel an enemy attack.
It did not help settle his nerves that the gods and angels were away from the Valley at the moment. It was not often that every god and or angel was away from the Valley all at once. More times than not if one faction's heavenly beings were away then the other factions' heavenly beings would generally fill in. To his knowledge, Forge was the only heavenly being, though he might disagree, currently in the Valley. Markus could only guess at the implications of having every god and angel missing at that moment.
The people in the Valley who were not warriors of the faction or served non-combat roles were already to be moved out of the Valley on a moment's notice via the many escape ways and tunnels. Markus made sure that Hestia knew every escape way out of the Valley should the evacuation order be given. Rhea was with Hestia and Eliot at his home doing one thing or another, Markus hoped they would be alright should an attack come.
*Ping*
Markus' head shot up from his thoughts. Every head in the command room turned towards the sound of the ping. A dreaded quiet fell upon the once noisy command room.
*Ping*
One of the non-combat base hands was manning the Valley's radar. Markus knew that the Valley's radar was built in mind of detecting a large or large group of possible incoming threats. Sometimes the radar would pick up a group of monsters moving around but they would be moving across or away from the Valley. Normally a strike team or scout team would take care of them if they got too close. However, the radar had been quiet for the last few days. To hear it go off now with everything that had happened made everyone pause from their tasks.
The newly appointed Lord Commander approached the base hand's station. She was young, probably just got the job a few days ago. In the Valley's history it had never had a full-scale attack from one of the factions' major enemies. To be working for the first time when that history was highly likely to change would be an unsettling one. The young woman looked up at the approaching knight, her hands were shaking ever so slightly.
Upon the screen was a top down gridded with a single green point in the middle. A line stretched out from the center point and spun clockwise around the grid. The green dot represented the center point of the Valley's main radar. Around it were more green dots with a line stretching outwards from those dots. These were the extended radars that were constructed much farther away from the Valley to serve as an early warning to the Valley itself.
*ping*
One of the outer radars towards the north was picking up contact. A small contract moving inwards towards the center green dot.
*ping*
It was moving slowly, towards the center of the radar. The contact was big enough to be at least two maybe three squad's worth of creatures if the radar was picking it up. Something was about to happen
Markus turned towards the communications officer. "I want outpost Alpha-4 to send a scout squad, recon only!"
"Sir!" The radar controller called.
Markus turned back around to see the base hand's screen.
"We just lost contact with all the Valley's outer radar network." She reported grimly.
"Sir, Outpost Alpha-4 is not responding!" The comms officer reported. "The others are not responding either.
"Sir, Valley border defenses are reporting movement in the North." Another base hand cried out in alarm.
"Sir, Rader reports air targets moving in fast." The radar operator soon adds panic in her voice.
The day had come. On Markus' watch no less.
The lawbringer ignored all of the sounds and voices as he marched over to a nearby console with a mic built into it. The world seemed to slow down for him. He worried about his sons, his "Wife", his friends, his people, his home. The worst possible outcomes of the next few hours began to play in his head. His fellow brothers and a sister in the legion in chains as their enemy took them away to fates worse than death. John being taken for one those creatures' personal amusements. Eliot being given some creature to be raised to sing their invaders phrases. His "wife" being separated from her children never to see them again, or worse to see horrid perverse visions of them. Seeing friends like Jessica being executed for not surrendering.
Markus stood in front of the console and began to type in a code into it. Moments later the PA system sounded throughout the Valley causing every conversation to stop. Markus was quiet for a few moments.
"Attention… we are now in Defcon 1… prepare for an imminent invasion. May God watch over us."
Soon after Markus gave the announcement an alarm sounded and the Defcon indicator moved from the light green colored four, to the red colored 1. Markus silently prayed to God for assistance in this battle, and that his family would be safe.
All around the Valley warriors of each faction ran towards their battle stations. The civilians ran towards bunkers or their faction fortresses for protection. The younger faction warriors were joining the civilians in the fortresses as they were not yet ready for the front lines of a battlefield. They would instead be the final line of defense for the civilians should the enemy make it so far. In some locations the ground opened up to reveal large fixed artillery, as well as missile launchers, and other heavy ordinance.
Towards the outer Valley hidden bunkers were making ready for income attack. Machine gun emplacements were readied, AT guns were uncovered and prepared for battle, faction warriors ran into trenches and covered positions waiting to ambush any passing enemy unit, mines were primed, and the factions' vehicles were deployed.
Within the Dragon Keeper, dragon riders and the dragons themselves, made ready for combat. Armor was strapped to the dragon's hides and crews of gun teams and gun wielding knights bordered the larger dragons turning them into living fire breathing gunships. Some of the small dragons had bombs attached to their under-belly armor for diving bombing attacks.
Griffins and their demigryph counterparts made ready for battle along with their riders. They had armor strapped to their body. Once ready the demigryph riders group into formations and set off towards the Valley's edges to assist in ambushing and flanking the attackers. The griffins flew towards the bunkers and fixed implements to help dissuade any aerial attackers as well as spot ground-based targets for the gunner crews.
The Vikings were most found near the trenches and ambush points with their allies. Only a few stayed in the back lines, most of them being warlords. The samurai were mostly found with the gun crews and ambush points. The knights were manning most of the implements and bunkers with their most recent heavy losses to their numbers; they did not have the manpower to field most of the vehicles, as priority in manpower was given to the ground defenses.
The first attack came when a look out spotted a squadron of high-flying bombers. A few knight fighters were already flying up to intercept them, but they were soon met by the bombers' escorts. F-22s descended from the skies to meet the coming knight FV-21s. Both fighters having a similar look, the main difference between the two being the FV-21s more bulky design. (Think of the Raven from X-com).
Both fighter squadrons met in battle soon after. Launching rockets and firing machine guns when the opportunity arises. Though the F-22 was outdated by comparison to the FV-21 the older fighter was still capable of matching the FV-21 in combat given enough pilot skill. If the dogfight was anything to go by, these F-22 pilots were very skilled.
With the knight fighters distracted the bombers were able to reach their target unimpeded and allowed to drop their payload over the Valley. Warriors scrambled for cover as the bombs neared the ground. Most of the bombs were centered at the Valley's outskirts, most likely aimed at the Valley's perimeter defense. As the large bombs detonated fires broke out among the trees, lucky the major bunkers and defensive implements were left undamaged by the bombing run. The fires were quickly put out by samurai wind sages using their wind abilities to blow out the fires.
Then the next hit came.
The factions' defensive positions came under heavy artillery bombardment. These shells found their targets unlike the bombers' bombs. In an instant more than a dozen bunkers were destroyed with their crews nothing more than a memory buried beneath the rubble. The bombardment continued forcing the crews of many bunkers to retreat further into the bunker network.
When the Valley's knight command center, the base hands were quick at work triangulating the fire of the enemy artillery. The counter barrage soon roared to life as Knight artillery fired upon the quadrants given to them by the command center. In the distance the results of the counter barrage could be seen as clouds of smoke went up.
Not long after, their enemy's infantry and vehicle support showed themselves. Quickly closing on the Valley's defensive positions were thousands of werewolves both in their transformed and human states. Tanks and other armored vehicles led the charge to provide cover for the approaching infantry. Horrifyingly enough many of the Valley's defenders spotted a few among their enemies' numbers deploying soul gear both by werewolves and humans.
From the faction lines a warlord climbed to the top of his trench.
"Bering þau á vér munu sing glorrinn ór dauðrinn ok brokeninn bodr ór okkarr enemr með dagarinn endi! Valhalla!" The Viking warlord cried from his trench.
His battle cry was taken up by other Vikings of the Warborn as their soul gear clashed and clamored into other objects creating quite the commotion from their positions.
"Yetu vile itakuwa mgomo na baraka ya upepo! Ei! Ei!" A Samurai Kensei declared from his own position.
A singler and united "Oh!" came from the Samurai warriors of the Dawn Empire as they summon their weapons for combat.
"Sit Dominus det nobis viribus superare haec monstra. Ad proelium!" A Lawbringer roared lifting his rifle and polearm to the sky.
"Ad proelium!" The other knights roared, raising their own weapons to the sky.
The surviving AT guns, machine gun positions, and knight small arm fired into the charging werewolf forces. The werewolf forces did the same with their tanks and APCs returning fire. Explosions began to rock both sides as vehicles and dug out positions. Tanks exploded, limbs were ripped off their bodies, and blood flew across the battlefield.
A deafening roar came from the mountain in the distance. Soon small figures of varying colors began to appear from the mountain top. As they got closer the undisguisable outline of the dragons began to take shape. Upon their backs were their riders and crews coming to join the defense of the Valley. With a red dragon leading the charge and a singler armored figure standing atop the great dragon's head. Maverick and the dragons were joining the fight.
The great dragon opened his mouth and fire spewed forth on the attacking werewolves' forces. The smaller dragons made dive bombing attacks on the armored vehicles of the attacking forces. Knights and gun crews on the back of the larger dragons rained down death upon the approaching foe.
However, the werewolves were not without anti-air forces. From the werewolves' rear lines bullets, flack, and missiles began racing up to meet the approaching dragon forces. The smaller dragons had an easier time avoiding the incoming fire, but the larger dragons were soon being pummeled by ground fire. The dragon's armor and scales deflected and blocked much of the incoming fire but even then one lucky shot would get through. Many dragons roared in pain as bullets and shrapnel entered their bodies. Some of the knights riding on their backs took firing as the dragons they stood upon attempted to avoid the incoming fire.
Though the knights did not need to worry about falling off given the magic pulling them towards the dragon they were still without much cover in the air. Leaving their armor as the only thing protecting them should something hit them, and hit they were. Shrapnel from flack and missiles peppered the knights causing them to fall over or lose stumble. Though the heavier armored knights were mostly protected, sometimes shrapnel would find their exposed joints. A few knights would lose their lives on the back of those dragons.
Back on the ground. The werewolves' ranks had closed with the factions' lines. The two forces engaged in harsh melee combat, each side doing whatever they could to gain the upper hand. Whether that meant throwing dirt in their opponent's eyes or ganging up on one opponent, everything was far game. A few of the factions' more seasoned warriors were cutting down werewolves and werewolves still in their human form with ease. With one swing of their soul weapon another enemy had fallen. Likewise a few werewolf alphas were cutting down faction warriors one after another, hitting weak points in their armor or ripping out their hearts.
Eventually the factions' elite would meet in battle with the Werewolves' elite. They world spot each other as a threat that needed to be removed and would fight their way towards each other before engaging in a duel to the death. Sometimes a werewolf would emerge victorious and sometimes a faction warrior would.
As the battle raged on, a figure from the werewolves' ranks made itself known. A moon white haired woman with golden eyes approached the battle lines walking as if she were on a stroll through a park. Her clothes were considered to be casual, blue jeans with a simple white shirt with a jacket over it. Some of the knights still firing off their guns took notice of the woman and took aim on the seemingly easy target. However, just as the bullet was about to hit her she disappeared from sight before reappearing a few steps ahead of where she used to be.
The knights took pause for a moment before they all emptied their mags on the approaching woman. Like before she disappeared and reappeared slightly more ahead then she had been a moment ago. However, just as a heavyweight dragon had passed over her the woman was no longer on the ground. In the next moment she appeared on the dragon's back. A younger conqueror had noticed the woman's appearance first but before she could announce the woman's presence she found the woman's arm had gone through his throat.
The other knights heard the sound of flesh being torn. They turned towards the sound just to see the woman's arm being pulled out of the now dead conqueror's throat. A slight smile appeared on her face as she closed the distance to the closet knight, a peacekeeper. In a moment the peacekeeper's belly had been cut open causing her intestines to spill out. The next two knights found themselves cut in two as the woman passed them. The rest of the knights were quickly cut down allowing the woman to move towards the dragon's rider.
The rider, a lawbringer, had noticed the woman soon after she began to slaughter his crew. He was already running towards her weapon at the ready. The lawbringer thrusted his spear head forward only narrowly missing the woman. The woman spun around him and threw a clawed hand into his arm pit. Her claws easily cut past the lawbringer chainmail under armor and into his body. The knight let out a loud gasp as he threw his armored elbow back to the woman's face. The woman managed to dodge the attack before she took hold of the lawbringer arms with both hands. With a mighty heave and a sickening crack the lawbringer's arm was torn out of its socket.
The lawbringer's pain filled cry drew the attention of his dragon partner who turned his head to look back at his lawbringer partner. Rage quickly filled the gray dragon as it let out a mighty roar and opened its mouth for its breath attack. The knight seeing the attack coming dropped and braced himself. In the next moment an earth shaking roar came out of the dragon's throat blasting off any lost object on the dragon's back.
When the dragon closed his mouth to see how his partner was doing he was only greeted by the sight of his partner's polearm's spear head coming right at him. The lawbringer's soul weapon had pierced into the dragon's black colored eye. The force behind the weapon allowed it to pass into the dragon eye and exit out the other side destroying anything in its path. The great cray dragon was dead in an instant.
Gravity took hold of the mighty creature and he plummeted towards the ground crashing just in front of the deadly melee between the faction warriors and the werewolves' forces. The woman stepped off the dragon just as it crashed into the ground as if she had stepped off a stationary plane. The sound of a cry drew the woman's attention back to the corpse of the gray dragon. The lawbringer was on his knees with his head down and his last hand on the dragon's snout.
His helmet was lying by his side as he was whispering an apology to his friend while he wept. The woman approached the man from behind, but he made no move to engage her. She pulled a pistol from the corpse of one of her fellow werewolves. She pointed the firearm at the back of the lawbringer's head and pulled the trigger.
The lawbringer body fell forward as blood freely flowed down from the exit wound at his forward.
"I'm on my way, my friend." The lawbringer murmured before his lifeless body hit the ground.
The woman turned back towards the Valley.
The woman quickly spotted her next targets a nobushi and raider who were fighting near each other, each covering each other's back. In an instant the nobushi's head had fallen off her shoulders and the raider had been cut in two. The woman began walking through the deadly melee efferently killing any faction warrior she so happened to pass. A Kensei Wind Sage and Warden Inferno knight had noticed the woman slaughtering any she came across.
The two warriors charged at the woman summoning their elemental control of their perspective elements. The woman noticed her two attackers and side stepped both their attacks, however the two warriors were quick to turn their weapons on her once more. The woman once more dodged the attacks before her golden eyes locked on the Kensei. In one quick motion she had severed the Kensei arm causing the samurai to drop his weapon. Soon after he found the woman's clawed hand going up his skull stopping in his brain.
The woman kicked him off her hand before setting her sights on the warden who was already bringing his sword down on the woman. She sidestepped the blow and grabbed the warden neck, with a flick of her wrist she snapped the knight's neck. The body slumped down like a puppet that had just lost its strings.
The woman stood back up only to see the side of a heater shield flying at her face. The side of the shield caught her on her nose breaking it and causing the woman to stumble back while clutching her nose. The woman looked up, clearly pissed off. Before her stood a conqueror with a unique spike helmet with the front position of a skull sitting on its top.
"Sup." Lord Commander Stone said, staring down the woman.
"I was told you were injured." The woman growled moving her hand to show her beautiful face now scared with a broken and bleeding nose.
"Still am but I came out early just to kick your ass. After that I am going to skin your coat and use your hide to decorate my home as a light conversation piece. Then I am going to fuck someone on top of your coat just because I don't like you." Lord Commander Stone added light heartedly.
"And when I'm done with you're going to wish I killed you." The woman growled back.
"Cheesy line much." The Lord Commander scoffed going into a combative stance, his flail spinning behind him. "If you're going to smack talk then at least come up with something somewhat original."
The woman charged at him and Stone swung his flail forward.
I offered my hand to Russ to help him up the rest of the way. He reached up and grabbed it, allowing me to pull him up. After spending the better part of the day claiming the mountain, we finally managed to reach the top. From here we could look over the area surrounding the mountain, low and behold on their stood our target. The Iron Fortress in all its semi-abandoned glory. It looked the same as in my vision, the damaged infrastructure, the old and eroded cannons, even the front gate looked the same.
Now all that was missing was the fog and the voi-
'Come.'
'Ah, there it is.' I chuckled to myself.
I could imagine the look on my father's face when he saw the Iron Fortress appear in front of the Valley. I was sure he would be proud of me once he saw it for himself… after he was done scolding me for doing something so reckless of course.
"Well, let's get moving!" I declared starting my way down the mountain. Things would be looking up for the legion in this war I knew it.
And there we have it. So tell me what you guys think!
Well God bless and get ready for the summer yet for some reason it's STILL SNOWING OUTSIDE!
