"Cedric," I said, breaking the silence.
"Hmm" he grunted.
"I'm sorry about that" I urged; I really wanted him to believe that. Even though I hadn't even done anything; I still felt bad about the situation that had just happened.
"You have nothing to be sorry about" he dismissed. "You didn't cause that" he told me as he took a step forward, so he was now standing closer to me. "HE did!" he growled as he bawled his fist up as he emphasised the word 'he'.
"Cedric" I said sadly as I pursed my lips together. "Come here" I cooed as I wrapped my arms around his neck, and I pulled him closer to me. A couple of seconds passed before I felt Cedric's arms wrapped around me; and I rested my chest against his chest as I sighed.
After standing in silence cuddling like this, I then slowly looked up at him and I watched as he meekly smiled at me.
"I'm sorry you had to go through that" I pressed.
"Me too" he stated as he cupped the left-hand side of my face with his right hand. "But I don't want you to feel bad about it" he told me as he gazed into my eyes. "It's not your fault" he muttered as he brushed his nose against mine.
"And it's not yours either" I muttered and again I watched as he meekly smiled at me. I opened my mouth to say something, but I was cut off by Cedric's lips capturing mine. Cedric quickly deepened the kiss, and I was caught off guard by the possessive and alarming way he was kissing me; but I quickly dismissed this as I put this down to what had just happened with Cormac. Cedric might have started the kiss, but I was the one to finish it as the longer the kiss was going on the more riled up the pair of us the pair of us were getting. And the last thing we needed after what had just happened is to be caught out in the act. "We better stop" I panted.
"Why?" he breathed with a sweet smile on his face.
"Before things get out of hand" I smiled happily at him.
"True" he agreed as he stroked my left cheek with his right thumb. "Rain check?" he offered hopefully.
"Rain check" I confirmed with an eager smile. I then watched as he brushed his nose against mine once more and I noted by his eyes that he was still brooding over what had just happened. "Do you want to talk about it?" I asked and I watched as he sighed at me.
"Maybe later" he muttered. "I just want to calm down" he explained. "I hate how he always thinks he can try to take you away from me" he finished sadly.
"Cedric" I cooed as I cupped his face in both of my hands. "No one is ever going to do that" I urged. "Especially Cormac" I dismissed. "No one has ever caught my eye apart from you; and that is never going to change" I promised him, hoping that this was going to start to reassure him. Of course, I knew that he already knew this; but in this moment he needed to hear me say it. And I was more than willing to oblige.
"I love you" I said as I continued to gaze into his eyes. "I want to be with you, I want to marry you" I continued lovingly. "That is what matters- "I added as I let a warm and loving smile spread across my face. "My dashing white knight" I cooed, and I watched as a playful smile spread across his face.
"You always know what to say to make it better" he grinned at me.
"I try" I replied happily.
"You succeed" he chuckled, and I couldn't help but smile at him. "I better get back to my office" he sighed sadly. "But I had to come down here when you mentioned that you were sent flowers, it seemed strange" he explained.
"Well, I didn't think anyone else would have sent them to me them" I replied.
"Yeah" he agreed. "But it's sorted" he added. "Hopefully" he sighed.
"Cedric" I cooed. "Of course, it is" I confirmed.
"Yeah" he repeated. "I'll see you later on tonight baby" he smiled down at me before he pressed a kiss against the top of my head. "See you later" he said as he looked down at me.
"See you later" I answered, and I watched as he meekly smiled at him as we dropped our arms from each other, and we stepped apart from each other. I then watched as he turned and walked up to my office door before he turned and threw me a glance with a meek smile. He then nodded to himself before he opened the door and quickly left my office.
My office then fell into silence; and when I turned to go back to my desk my eyes landed on the flowers, and I sighed. I quickly walked up to my desk, and I picked them up; I then pulled the flowers out of the vase before quickly throwing them in the bin in my office. I then walked back around my desk, and I threw myself down into my seat – still in shock that Cormac would try to pull a stunt to try and get in between me and Cedric. However, he would never ever be able to do this; me and Cedric have been and will always be a strong couple. No matter what!
