The months had passed and it was soon time for Zira, Nala and the princes to venture out.
In the Pridelands, King Mufasa and Queen Hewa were worried for their oldest son, Simba.
As the golden cub was full of energy and can be quite rambunctious. So they sent their majordomo, their old majordomo, Zuzu's son, Zazu to watch the cubs.
As the sun began to shine brightly the princes and their friends Malka and Zahra came running out of the cave.
"Wow." Malka breathed his brown eyes sparkling before the two month old dark gold cub turned to his friends and said "Come on let's go!"
"Yeah!" Simba and Zahra exclaimed jumping up and down before racing towards the edge.
The light beige prince sat where he was unsure about the plan. "Um..shouldn't we wait for mom and dad?" Selam asked his orange eyes on the cave entrance.
Simba rolled his own orange eyes. "But they're taking too long."
Salem sighed in defeat and made way to join his brother and friends but was stopped by their mothers. Who gently picked their cubs up by their scruffs and carried them to the center of priderock.
"Now Malka, what did I tell you about getting over excited?" Malka's mother, Amani scolded gently narrowing her brown eyes at her son.
"I'm sorry mom." Malka said softly lowering his own brown eyes.
"It's alright dear." the pale gold lioness said with a smile giving her son a nuzzle. "Now want you to listen very carefully to what King Mufasa says and do exactly what he tells you to do. Understand?"
"Yes mom." Malka said before going over to join his friends.
"That goes for you too, Zahra." Zahra's mother, Apate said narrowing her hazel eyes at her daughter.
The tan lioness was accepted into the pride not long after the king and queen became the new rulers of the Pridelands. Where she like most of the other lionesses including Amani, mated with a visiting rogue.
"Yes mom." said the little tan female cub.
With a smile she went and joined Malka and the princes who were already talking with Mufasa and Hewa.
"Now I want you four to stay in sight of priderock at all times!" Mufasa was started saying.
"Yes King Mufasa." Malka and Zahra said together.
The golden king gave his sons a stern look. "Simba, Selam? Do you two understand?"
"Yes." answered the princes at once.
"We understand. Can we go now? Please?" pleaded Simba giving his inherited grin.
Mufasa smiled at his eldest's eagerness. "Alright you may go now. Have fun and be careful."
The king gave his sons nuzzles and after giving their mothers nuzzles the four cubs were on their way with the new majordomo, Zazu behind them.

Meanwhile in the Outlands, Sarafina was not happy with her mate.
"Scar you must see reason!" the creamy lioness was shouting as her light green eyes burned into the reddish-brown lion.
"My dear it is you that isn't reasonable." Scar retorted glaring at his mate. "Or should I say stubborn?"
Sarafina scoffed while rolling her eyes. "You're the stubborn one. You can't possibly think that sending Zira and Nala into the Pridelands now is a good idea? They're only two months old!"
"Exactly my point." Scar exclaimed. "Mufasa's brats are two months also. That means that they will be exploring on their own. This is the perfect time to send Zira and Nala so they could meet. Our biggest plan doesn't come until much later. I'm not a idiot."
"I understand that. But what if Hewa and Mufasa suspect that they are our daughters? I'm afraid of what Mufasa might do."
Scar waved a paw."Don't worry I gave them strict orders not to say anything about living in the Outlands or who their parents are."
Sarafina sighed. "It's just with all the bad blood between you and Mufasa and me and Hewa..."
Scar growled at the memory. "So we were the reason my moron of a father and that idiot Imara are dead. They exile us to this hell hole!"
The creamy lioness snarled as she added. "Don't forget those fools Desta and Cayden." Sarafina took a deep breath. "Alright. But I don't want them going alone."
"Already taken care of." Scar said. "I arranged it with Kavela and Dwala that their cubs Tau and Kula to go with the girls."
"Well I think Tau can pass as a pridelander." Sarafina said while looking at the creamy gold cub playing with the twins and a brownish cub. "But Kula looks too scruffy to pass as a pridelander."
"She'll be fine." Scar insisted. "But I told Dwala her daughter could go. You know how my cousin gets when things don't go her way."
Sarafina sighed before calling her daughters over. "Zira, Nala come here!"
"Yes mama." said the dark tan and tawny cubs walking over to their parents.
"Your father wants to speak to you." Sarafina stated while sitting by her mate's side.
Zira and Nala looked at their father their green eyes filled with wonder.
"Zira, Nala. It's time for your adventure." Scar pointed out. Knowing that his daughters would catch on.
"It is?" Nala asked, excitement in her voice. Her green eyes lighting up.
The sisters ran over to their friends. "Tau, Kula come on. It's time to go."
"Now remember what we talked about." Scar said sternly. "Not a word about the Outlands or who your parents are. Understand?"
"Yes father!" the twins nodded. "We understand."
Then Nala pipped up. "We won't fail. Promise!"
"That goes for you too Tau." Tau's light gold mother Kavela said her dark orange eyes locked onto her son's bluish eyes.
"Yes mom." the creamy gold cub said softly.
"Kula, you're not to say anything either." Dwala said narrowing her green eyes at her daughter. "Got it?"
"Yeah, I got it." the brownish cub said rolling her own green eyes. "Lets go already."
"Have fun and be careful." said Sarafina giving her daughters each a nuzzle.
"Remember Mufasa's sons are named Simba and Selam!" Scar shouted as he watched his daughters and their friends leave. This better work. "I hate to go back to square one."
Then Scar went to join his mate and await the return of his daughters with glee.
