CandyLuv99; Luis definitely has a lot to answer for.

Here's chapter sixty-eight, enjoy!

Queen-in-command Sherise blinked her eyes open to shut them when the sun light hit them. She took a moment before opening them again to see her mother lying next to her. But she wasn't in the pride's cave on priderock, her eyes was then focused on Rafiki who walked into the unknown cave.

"Rafiki, where am I?"

Rafiki kneel before the dark brown lioness as Nala woke and sat up. "You are in my ground infirmary. Your mate brought you here."

Sherise felt stiff, did Jesús know? "Where is he now?"

Rafiki was silent before responding. "At priderock with the boys."

Sherise saw the knowing look in the mandrill's brown eyes. She cleared her throat and looked away. "I have to go.."

Nala stood and followed her daughter. "Sherise...dear. Do you think that's wise right now?"

Sherise looked at her mother with hard purple eyes. "I am fine, mother! Now I have to go. I have two sons who are probably worried sick!"

Nala sighed before following after her daughter. Rafiki held on to his staff as Rika walked into the cave.

"Father, what was that about?"

Rafiki shook his head before placing a hand on the female mandrill shoulder. "My time on earth is about to come to a end. I need you to remember your teaching and keep a close eye on the queen-in-command. There's a big storm coming and she's not going to respond well."

Rika nodded before walking out of the cave with her father.

...

Sherise had a lot on her mind as she headed towards priderock. Rafiki knew what happened to her, did he know who did it as well? Did Jesús know?

Suddenly she didn't want to return to priderock. What if she returns and Jesús had killed his brother. Then in a while, wouldn't he have followed in his father's pawprints?

Even though, it would be justified. But would it? Maybe.. Luis needed that to get it out of his system and return to his family. Perhaps if she spoken to him and cleared things up or she's just trying to find ways to see reason when in reality, there isn't one.

Unfortunately, the walk to priderock was quicker than she would have liked.

Jesús was near the slope speaking with Kovu when he saw his mate approaching with his mother-in-law. The reddish-brown lion sighed in relief before rushing over and bending down to nuzzled Sherise.

"I thought I lost you."

Simba stepped up from his spot between Kopa and Kion near the small cave by the slope. With a heavy breath releasing, the gold lion nuzzled his daughter. "Are you alright? What happened?"

Sherise looked around and nearly forgotten how to breath. She caught a glimpse of a pair of dark brown eyes looking at her from besides Sienna. She felt her throat dry as she tour her eyes away.

Questions from earlier returned full forced. What was she going to say? That Luis raped her? She's not sure what he'll do if she tells what really happened but she knows that at the end, he would be killed.

But as she thought earlier. Is that what's best? Killing two young cubs father?

Tears started to fall down her face. She was so confused what if Jesús figured it out and thought she submitted.

"Sherise, are you alright?"

The dark brown lioness reached up and buried her head in her mate's black mane. "I was raped by a rogue."

Jesús snarled as Simba growled lowly. Sherise sobbed uncontrollably causing Jesús to nuzzle and pull her close.

A few more days passed and the pride couldn't stop celebrating the news that Queen Kiara was expecting again.

Of this meant that Sherise was in charge of the hunts. Which suited the Queen-in-command well. She needed a distraction and a way to let out her pint up stress and frustration.

The blades of grass swayed from the morning breeze. Sherise's purple eyes were locked on a old wildebeest male.

Sherise turned her head and nodded to Amanda who stalked foward, once a feet away the goldish lioness roared startling the beast. The brown animal ran further into the savannah.

Joyce and Christina amerged from their places and chased the wildebeest through the waterhole. The light cream, yellow eye lioness pounced on the animal's back and dug her claws into the animal's body causing the wildebeest to belt in pain.

Jesús sat on a hill watching his brother's oldest daughter, daughter and and her sister hunt in his mate's's hunting party. A amused chuckle caused the observing lion to turn his head to see Kopa walk towards him.

Jesús looked at the tawny, dark brown lion with a raised eyebrow. "When are you going to make it official?"

Kopa rolled his green eyes before looking back at the hunt. "Soon. I..."

The reddish-brown lion smirked before casting his dark brown eyes on the hunt as well. "What? Don't think Asteria will accept?"

Kopa was about to respond when he noticed that his sister wasn't with the party. He quickly scanned for her and gasped when he saw her lying in the tall grasses that the hunt started from. Concern swelled up in his body as he ran down the hill.

Jesús followed the tawny with his eyes when he caught sight of his mate lying on the ground.

"Sherise!" Jesús cried out before roaring to call the pride, then ran down the hill.

Jesús had checked his mate as soon as he got to her side. She was alive, just unconscious. He had bend over to put Sherise on his back just as Kion ran over with wide, fearful eyes. "She's alright. But can you get Rafiki? Just to confirm that she's okay."

Kion looked at his sister before galloping towards the baobab tree on the edge of the Pridelands.

Jesús watched the King of the Tree of Life get a distance before running towards the caves. Over the hill that sat in front of the caves, the reddish-brown lion was greeted by his mate's grandmothers and Simba.

"Jesús, what happened?"

Jesús ignored the gold lion before entering the den by the slope. He laid his mate down just as Rafiki and Rika entered, shooing everyone out. "That goes for you too, Jesús."

Jesús wanted to protest but figured it was useless. He nuzzled Sherise before heading out of the den where he was greeted by his oldest son, the young pale cream lion head bumped him before stepping back and looked at him with concerned dark brown eyes.

"I'm sorry about Sherise. But I'm sure she's okay. She's the strongest lioness I know and...quite frankly my hero. I looked up to Sherise since I was a cub and I know she'll pull through."

Jesús smiled lightly before rubbing against his head against his son's. The reddish-brown lion stepped back before he looked and seen that Rafiki was heading out.

"De queen wishes for you to see her."

Josh and Jesús shared a look before Jesús entered the den. Before he got far he heard Rafiki take his leave. He sighed before continuing towards the back where his mate was sitting with a glum expression.

"Jesús. I'm pregnant."

Jesús was not expecting that. But smiled anyway but that faded when he saw the sorrow look on the dark brown lioness' beautiful face.

"Sherise, what's the matter? Isn't it good news?"

Sherise was terrified. Who was the father to her cub?
