CandyLuv99; Thanks for the review. As for Zuri, I always felt she was jealous of Kiara. So here's her opportunity to get what she wants.

Here's chapter seventy-three, enjoy!

Years Ago(Scar's Reign)

Cub Jesús ran with salty tears blinding his view. So the reddish-brown prince didn't know where he was going until he bumped into something soft.

"Hey, you okay?"

Jesús wiped his tears away and saw a tan cub with concern in his yellow eyes.

"Yeah.."

"Okay, what's your name?"

"Jesús.."

"That's cool. My name is Abasi."

Jesús smiled, "Thanks. So um do you want to play?"

Abasi smiled back, "Sure, you're it!" the tan cub laughed before tagging the prince and running off.

Jesús ran off after his new friend laughing.

Through the months that went by Abasi and Jesús had met up and played. The two had become best friends. But neither parents know what their cubs been up to.

Until one day the friends got cornered by their older brothers.

-

"Where have you been!" Luis glared at his half-brother.

Jesús frowned, "None of your business, Luis! I can do whatever I want!"

The light cream cub chuckled, "Because of you being future king? You're pathetic! You're nothing but a worthless trash that will bring this kingdom to its grave like your father!"

Jesús pinned his black rimmed ears as he cried, "That's not true, take it back!"

Luis laughed, "You're pathetic, just like your father!"

Jesús sobbed as he ran off towards the south border with hot tears falling.

-

"Abasi!"

The tan cub was going to meet his new friend but his oldest brother, Kgosi blocked his path.

"Kgosi, move!" Abasi growled at his teenage dark tan brother.

Kgosi laughed, "Aw! Someone's moody."

Abasi frowned, "What do you want?"

"To know where my little brother is going is all."

"I am not of your concern!" Abasi growled as he shoved past his brother.

-

"Abasi!" Jesús called out as he reached the border.

"Here!" yelled Abasi as he ran and tackled the prince.

But Jesús wasn't even trying to pinn the other and Abasi picked it up.

" Soosy, what's wrong?"

Jesús ignored his annoyance of the nickname his friend have given him as tears fell from his dark brown eyes, "My brother said I was patheic...that I won't be a good king."

Abasi head bumped the reddish-brown cub, "Well he's wrong. Want to know why?"

Jesús was genuinely confused as he shook his head.

"Because I'll be there by you're side as your advisor."

Jesús smiled, "We're always be together!"

Abasi embraced his friend as he smiled, "Always!"

The grand Duke of the Pridelands stood on a ledge and watched the pathway from Keres' domain that lead towards the unscathed land between the Easternlands.

When Jesús spotted something approaching he sighed in relief before his ears twitched just as he was pounced on from behind.

Jesús rolled away from his attacker and stood to come face to face with a tan, dark brown maned lion around his age that he came across. Jadis and Aloria's second son, Abasi. "Abasi," the reddish-brown lion growled.

The tan lion grinned before hitting the reddish-brown lion across the face. Knocking Jesús harshly to the ground. "Well, isn't it the mighty Jesús, of the amazing King Scar. How ya doing, Soosy?"

Jesús spit out some blood before glaring up with bared bloodied teeth. "It's Jesús, Duke Jesús to you shithead. And you know damn well how much I hate that ridiculous nickname."

Abasi grinned before striking his old friend again. "My bad," with a cruel laugh, Abasi striked Jesús again. "Not. Now get up and fight, you pathetic fool!"

Jesús began to rise to only fall back down from another hit from the tan lion.

"You're pathetic." Abasi spat, spit flying from his muzzle landing on Jesús' face. "You know? You had it all! The option to rule instead of being a step under kingship! I should go give that beautiful mate of yours, I heard about a visit. Show her a real lion."

Jesús growled, teeth bared and claws digging out. "Leave my mate out of your disgusting mouth!"

"Oh really?" Abasi laughed before striking Jesús again. "What are ya going to do about it, little Soosy?"

Jesús snarled as he weakly stood just as Abasi lunged towards him, his claws extended and his fangs showing.

Jesús barely dodged the tan lion's lunge, but had to quickly regain his footing as his paws slid in the slippery mud.

Jesús turned and swung his claws at Abasi, catching him on his already jagged ear. Before he could retaliate, Jesús was out of reach and crouched low again.

Blood flowed from Abasi's ripped ear down his scarred face. He lunged again, and this time Jesús was not fast enough to get away. His claws caught the tan lion's creamy tan chest and they went tumbling backwards.

Abasi swung out a massive paw and caught Jesús on the side, while the reddish-brown lion raked his claws down Abasi's flank.

Abasi used his strong back legs to flip his brother over his head. A trick his old cubhood friend taught him.

Jesús, now feeling the weight of the battle and his previous torture, hit the ground with a grunt and struggled to push his self to his paws in the slick terrain. He rolled onto his tan stomach and crouched low, his dark brown eyes narrowed in determination.

Duke Jesús could feel the warmth of blood running down his side. Abasi shot forward, catching the Pridelands Duke off guard, and sunk his teeth into Jesús' shoulder.

Causing Jesús to roar in pain and slammed his paw into the side of Abasi's head as hard as he could.

But Abasi pulled back, dazed from his old friend's quick movements and his own tiredness, Abasi took the opportunity, and jumped forward. Catching Jesús' chest under his paws and they went rolling backwards.

Abasi's claws pressed into his throat, as the tan lion pinned the other male. Both of their breaths coming out in uneven gasps.

Just as Abasi raised his paw to end the lion under him. He was tackled and tossed across the ground.

As for Jesús, he saw a pair of dark yellow eyes before succumbing to the steady approaching darkness.

...

Queen-in-command Sherise was a worried mess. It's been a few days since her mate left with Mwezi and Wasi to the Easternlands to rescue his daughter that he never knew he had until recently.

But something's not right. The dark brown lioness wasn't going to be swayed otherwise, until her mate and best friend returned to her safe and sound.

"Sherise," the dark brown lioness turned her purple eyes from her and her sister's kingdom to see her goldish-yellow brother. "Are you alright?"

Sherise sighed before shaking her head. "No, Kion. I'm worried about Jesús. I wouldn't know what to do without him."

Kion frowned before pulling his sister into a embrace just as Wasi rushed up the stoned slope with two adolescents following. One of the females had a slight limp.

The siblings stepped back and focused on the adolescents as Wasi exited the small cave.

"Someone needs to call for the monkeys."

Kion looked towards the hornbill nearby. "Zara. Fetch Rafiki and Rika."

Zara bowed, "Yes, King Kion." before taking flight.

Kiara came up the slope along with Simba and Kopa. "What's going on?"

The gold adolescent limped forward. "My name's Kenna. And I'm Duke Jesús' daughter. Do that help?"

"Yes," Vitani appeared before snapping her purple eyes towards the tawny-beige lioness. "But who's your friend?"

"Skye," the tawny-beige lioness gulped. "You may know my father."

Kiara looked at the younger female closely and was caught by the very familiar black eyes. "Severus. Your father was Severus. He was a dear friend to us."

Sherise sat and listened to the introductions but still was lost. "Where's Jesús?"
