CandyLuv99; For the OCs, I believe I found a spot but it won't come just yet. We can only hope Sherise don't treat her son badly.

Here's chapter seventy-seven, enjoy!

The sun had barely risen, when out of the main cave Jesús walked with his ears perked before pinning them as he bend his body and stretched. With a yawn he stretched out his legs, satisfied with the pops and cracks in his bones.

Jesús then shook out his black mane before walking over to the peak and sat. His dark brown eyes scanned the Pridelands before he stood and started down the slope to start his shift of patrol.

As he ventured towards north-eastern side of the Pridelands. To make sure that the cheetahs and the wild dogs were staying true to the laws of the kingdom, the reddish-brown lion couldn't stop wondering why his mate left to give birth.

He knew it when she woke up in pain but he didn't follow her. Figured it was something she wanted to do in privacy.

Jesús' ears perked at the sound of rustling grass. He turned to see a all too familiar light beige lioness. "Sienna? What are you doing out here?"

Sienna lowered her orange eyes before looking at her brother-in-law. "I have been debating on this for the longest but I can't ignore it anymore. Now that it has effected my children."

Jesús was completely confused. "I'm afraid I don't understand."

Sienna frowned before stepping closer. "Have you noticed that Luis has been acting... different? It's been going on for months. He's never around and I'm worried."

Jesús honestly haven't put much thought into why his half-brother wasn't around. And if he was truthful, he didn't care.

"Duke Jesús!" Jesús and Sienna looked and saw Zara flying towards them. The purple hornbill landed in front of the reddish-brown lion with a bow. "Sherise has returned and wishes you to see the cubs!"

Jesús grinned before running off towards priderock.

...

Sherise smiled and laughed through the smiles and congraulations but in reality she couldn't stomach being around her son. He was too much of a close reminder of Luis. Beside her uneasy feelings for her son she had to tell Jesús, he don't really expect nothing but he has to know the truth.

"Can I have a moment with Jesús please?"

The pride didn't question it and quickly left the nursery den leaving the new parents alone.

The reddish-brown lion watched their family and friends leave before casting worried eyes on his mate. "Sherise, what's wrong?"

Sherise took a deep breath, now or never. "Loki is not your son."

Jesús frowned and shook his head. "Wait. What?" he just stared at the dark brown lioness for a minute before he said, "This cub is not mine." Then in a much louder voice he growled, "Well isn't this just great!"

"Jesús, I'm so sorry," Sherise pleaded the tears flowing. "But I promise you I didn't have a choice in the matter."

"What do you mean?" Jesús asked eyeing Sherise.

"I mean," Sherise said taking a shaky breath. "There never was a rogue that attacked me. It was Luis all along.."

"You mean my brother...attacked you?" Jesús asked his dark brown eyes wide with shock and slowly anger.

Sherise nodded unable to keep from crying. "Please I wanted to tell you but I was afraid.. I told him I don't feel anything for him anymore.."

"That twisted son of a bitch!" Jesús roared furious at the thought of anyone, especially Luis hurting his mate. "I knew he was hiding something but this?! This is beyond wrong! I'm going kill him! Brother or not he has crossed the line!" after taking deep breathes he closed his eyes and sighed. "I'm sorry," Jesús said his voice calmer. Then he turned to Sherise, who was still crying, and pulled her close to him. "Hey it's going to be alright," he gently soothed.

"How can you say that?" Sherise sobbed burying her face in Jesús' mane. "This cub is a repeat reminder of what happened! It's never going to be alright!"

"Sherise, sweetheart no one has to know the cub is my brother's," Jesús said gently.

"What do you mean?" Sherise asked wiping her face with her paw.

"I mean we'll just tell everyone the cub is mine," Jesús smiled rubbing his head against Sherise's.

Sherise's purple eyes went wide with surprise. "You'd do that?" she asked.

"Sure I would," Jesús smiled. "Look I'll be honest, I'm not crazy about the fact that the cub is my brother's but the cub is also yours which means, how can I not love him as well? Besides it's not the cub's fault how he came to be conceived. I'm perfectly fine with raising him as my own."

"But love," Sherise started. "Are you really going to be okay with that?"

"Of course I am," Jesús smiled brightly. "I love you and everything about you. And that includes your son. And I'd be proud to have him as a son.

"Oh my love, I love you so much," Sherise cried burying her face in Jesús' black mane.

Jesús looked at the goldish cub who was staring up with bright purple eyes, Sherise's eyes. No doubt this wasn't his princess as his own grandmother on his father side had goldish fur. He then moved his eyes to the light cream male. "You called him Loki..."

"He reminds me of old tales of the trickster lion." Sherise explains simply.

Jesús sighed, he didn't want to argue. Even though that was last name he'll want to name a cub. Since Loki from the old stories didn't have a good reputation like his own father. But he didn't want to fight so he let it be. "How about Sisu for our princess-"

Sherise purred while nuzzling her daughter. "That's perfect!"

Late into the night Jesús snuck out and stood at the peak for a moment letting the night's wind blow through his black mane. With eyes full of determination, the reddish-brown lion headed down the slope into the dark Pridelands.

It wasn't long before the son of Scar found what or rather who he was looking for. Lowering his body to the ground he stalked forward and with a roar he pounced. Taking the lying light cream lion by surprise.

"Gah!" Luis yelled as he tumbled before raising to his paws to get hit across the face causing him spit out blood.

"How dare you!" Jesús sneered as he approached with his teeth bared. "Sherise was your friend but most importantly my mate!"

Jesús struck his brother again, his claws digging deep into his brother's flesh causing Luis to roar out in pain.

"I'm sorry...I don't know what came over me. I still love her."

Jesús' dark brown eyes widened at the confession but he knew it all along. With a deep breath he lowered his head. "I know and I know Sherise loves me but she still has feelings for you."

Luis looked up at his brother with confused dark brown eyes. "You're not upset?"

Jesús growled. "With what you have done!" taking calm breaths he spoke again. "But I'll let Sherise figure it out."

Luis lowered his head, ashamed.

Jesús sighed deeply. "By the way you have a son."

Luis looked up at his brother but he already ran off.

...

It was a few weeks after the births of Sisu and Loki when Kiara and Sherise were out on a walk checking on the zebra herd when Zara flew over.

"Your majesty's!"

Sherise and Kiara frowned before the gold lioness stepped forward to address the bird.

"Zara, what is it?"

"You're needed back at priderock. Immediately!"
