Here's chapter seventy-eight, enjoy!

Kiara and Sherise raced back to priderock. They were anxious and nervous about these lions at their home.

When the Queen and her sister reached priderock they were greeted by most the pride gathered under the kopje. Kovu, Jesús their father and brothers stood off with Dae and Josh against some unknown lions. Only to Sherise and Kula they recognized a familiar black lion.

"Keres?" the light brown lioness was absolutely confused. "You came with Kuona and the other survivors when these bastards attacked your home. What's going on?"

Keres grinned before moving his amber eyes to Sherise. "It was a coup now enough about me. My friend has something to say."

Kiara growled glaring at the males standing in front their small guard group. "I don't care! Get out of my kingdom!"

A tan lion laughed along with the two others. "Listen you bed-warmer! Because that's all you are! You have right to sit on the throne! Your mate is pathetic! If it was me, I'll killed your father like it was nothing to it and take the throne for myself!"

Kiara snarled along with Kovu. The dark brown king was disgusted. With this male and with himself as he once upon a time thought about completing Zira's plan.

"I believe introductions are needed." a gold, orange mane lion started. "I'm King Cerberus. You already know my ally, King Keres of the Luna kingdom. But you should know my last ally and friend, King Jadis of Northwind."

Many of the pride gasped. Mostly the ones who came from this lion's family line.

Cerberus smiled at the expressions on the others' faces before moving his orange eyes on the gold queen and her second-in-command. "Let me be clear. I wish to bethrol my son, Prince Sol to your crown-princess."

Sherise snarled at the Bright kingdom king. "And if we refuse!"

Jadis laughed and sent chills through the Pridelanders. "Then we go to war and take your precious kingdom by force. I'm pretty sure you won't stand a chance against three kingdoms."

Cerberus smirked at the fearful looks on the young Queen's face. "We'll be going now. But we will be back in a few months time for your answer."

Kiara stood shaken and couldn't believe what just happened.

...

A council was held in the Lion Guard lair. An elderly Wivu sat with her children by her side. She was jealous of Sarabi for being chosen to be Mufasa's queen but at the end, Sarabi was her sister and sister's death hit her hard and changed her way of things.

"Jadis or originally Zale is Sarabi and I brother. Our father had him long before he met our mother. We don't know much about him, Asra wanted to protect us from her terrible past. But I believe Sarabi knows more about him, as Queen Uru gave her private lessons."

"Well that's great!" Tama snarled. "Auntie Sarabi is dead!"

Wivu lowered her head ashamed and guilty. She was in turmoil as she really missed her little sister.

"I believe there's a way. I heard stories about a lion that roams the nomadic lands. He's like a... a lion god that walks among the living, assisting those who he can."

"You're not serious!" Tama laughed looking at her goldish-yellow nephew with humor filled orange eyes. The light beige lioness laughed again. "That just ludicrous!"

"Tama!" Wivu growled sternly before looking at her great-niece. "If you believe, I'm sure it'll help."

Kiara smiled at her great-aunt before focusing on the rest. "I'm going to head out and see if the stories is true. Until I returned, Kovu you and Sherise are completely in charge with Eshani taking Sherise's place as second-in-command."

Sherise nodded before standing. "I'm going to reassure the pride. Then I'll walk you to the border."

Kiara nodded before sighing deeply before receiving a nuzzle and a embrace from her mate as everyone exited the lair.

Kovu nuzzled his gold mate. "It's going to be okay. As long as we're together, we'll get through the worse things."

Kiara sighed heavily as she leaned on Kovu and rested her head on his mane. She just hope that he's right.

After a very heartbreaking bye to her cubs, Kiara and Sherise headed towards the Western border where the nomadic lands were beyond.

"I'm sure it'll work out." Sherise tried to assure but she wasn't too sure about it herself.

Kiara was quiet before looking at the older dark brown lioness. "I hope so. I didn't really want to bethrole Lyndy. After all it wouldn't be fair considering I found my mate on my own."

Sherise frowned. "That's completely fine but I know you. There's more, isn't it?"

Kiara flattened her ears. "I did think about it though. But I was hoping to bethrole Lyndy to one your sons. Perhaps... Loki?"

Sherise grunted but before she could respond she seen they reached the border. Taking a deep breath she turned her purple eyes to Kiara. "Here we are."

The gold lioness sighed before nuzzling her sister and best friend. "Take care of our kingdom. Hopefully I'll be back with something good."

Sherise smiled warmly. "And we will be here when you do."

Kiara embraced her sister before running off quickly across the border.

...

Across the border Kiara traveled for four days. On sixth day the gold lioness was met with a severe wind storm.

"Kiara.."

The Pridelands queen gasped at the unknown voice. It sounded like multiple voices coming out at once.

The gold lioness tried to see who called her name but the winds were too strong. But then they started twirling in a miniature twister in one spot before disappearing and in its wake, stood a unusual lion with a glowing stone hanging from a vine that was around his neck.

For the most part, he was covered in light gold brown fur. He had a tri-color mane of red, black and white. His tail tuff and ear points were white but what made Kiara felt frozen were the literal stars in his mixed eyes of black and blue.

"You have been looking for me. Now you found EuRacck, how can I assist?"

Kiara frowned but shook it off. "I need your help to reach my grandmother Sarabi. I need to speak to her."

EuRacck bowed his head his voice blending into one that was familiar. "As you wish, Queen Kiara."

A gust of wind blew around the lion and when the wind disappeared again instead of the light gold brown lion stood a all too familiar dark beige lioness with glowing orange eyes.

"I'll never leave you, Kiara. I'm always here,"

Kiara couldn't believe it. She felt like a small cub again. With tears falling she ran and embraced her grandmother. "Oh grandma! How I miss you and now I need you more than ever!"

"I'm here my granddaughter,"

Kiara sighed. Where do she begin? "A lion... your brother, King Jadis came with the Bright kingdom king and the Luna king. King Cerberus wants to bethrole his son, Sol to my daughter Lyndy, who's the future queen now that Askari abdicated the throne. If I don't agree.. they will rage war against us."

The ghostly Sarabi closed her glowing orange eyes before looking at her granddaughter. "Let me tell you a little story. Your great-grandmother Asra fell in love with the previous Northwind king."

Kiara was definitely confused. "What happened?"

"King Aziel was Jadis or originally Zale's father as well as the previous Northwind king. But my father saw that my half-brother was unfit to rule after him and claimed that the cubs he had with my mother were officially his heirs."

Kiara suddenly didn't like where this story was headed.

"Jadis didn't like that so he killed our father and took the throne."

Kiara quickly understood. Her great-uncle was like Scar but worse. Instead Jadis killed his own father for the throne.

"In order to save my life I was promised to a King. I'm afraid, Kiara in order to to keep Lyndy from my brother's claws, you and Kovu must betrothed her to the Bright kingdom's Prince. Or another cycle of war and death will be upon us."

Kiara gasped and stepped back. There was nothing she could do but give Cerberus and Jadis what they want.
