Chapter Two – Take a chance

"Miss Black," whispered Harry. He took a moment to take in her appearance. Her emerald dress fit her form perfectly, showing just enough cleavage to be enticing. Her hair was pulled up in an elegant bun, and her choice in jewelry only added to her elegance and grace. Harry thought for a second about that night in the forest. Her cold but sure fingers brushing across his chest as she felt for a heartbeat. Her scent overwhelming him as her full plump lips brushed against the shell of his ear.

"Lord Potter," she replied. Narcissa's face remained neutral, one perfectly sculpted eyebrow raised and the slight twitch of the corner of her mouth being the only indication of her surprise. He looked at her beautiful face as she spoke, and a strange fluttering sensation filled his belly. 'Butterflies. Well, I guess that's all the incentive I need to sit down. Remember, keep it formal, black women like tradition.'

Narcissa stood to greet him, and Harry didn't even hesitate as he approached her. He took her hand and kissed the top of it gently before motioning for her to sit back down.

"It's nice to see you again Miss Black," he said shyly as he pushed in her chair and then took the seat across from her. "How are you finding being on your own? Are you still living at Malfoy manor? Are you – comfortable?" asked Harry. His ears tinted red as he finished his question and Narcissa looked at him curiously. Harry knew she was wondering why he cared if she was comfortable. Hopefully, she didn't ask because Harry wasn't sure either.

"Yes, I'm still at Malfoy Manor, and it's been an adjustment. I went from living with my parents to living with – Lucius, so I'm not used to the - freedom to make my own choices, but I've enjoyed redecorating and doing as I please with the place. Draco still lives there, but I hardly see him, so most of the time I'm alone. I guess in that regard very little has changed," shared Narcissa. Harry nodded in understanding.

"Just a different kind of lonely," he stated.

"Yes, exactly," Narcissa said, surprised that he understood so well. She let a smile slip through her mask momentarily before she schooled her features again.

"Is that why you seeked out Lu- I mean Madam Fyndu's services?" asked Harry.

"Well, it was Astoria's idea actually. I was against it at first, but she can be quite persuasive when she sets her mind to something," said Narcissa more shyly than Harry thought her capable.

"So you answered all of those ridiculous questions as well then?" asked Harry as he scanned the menu. Narcissa laughed softly. Harry looked up in surprise at the magnificent sound. At first, he assumed it was coming from another table, but when he saw Narcissa's soft smile he knew it had been her and he could feel his face flush as the room began to feel hotter.

"Yes, Astoria came over a few nights while Draco was studying and helped me with it. You could say it was an interesting bonding experience for us, I suppose," she said.

"How is Draco?" Asked Harry, with true sincerity.

"He's studying to be a lawyer. He seems to like it. He and Astoria will be married at the end of the summer. He's happier than I have ever seen him, thanks to you," she nearly whispered. Harry shook his head.

"You saved me that night Miss Black. I should be thanking you. For what it's worth, I'm glad he's happy. I think that is all any of us really want in life," responded Harry.

"Are you not happy with your life then, Lod Potter?" asked Narcissa in curiously.

"In some ways, I have great friends and I've made Grimmauld Place more pleasant to live in, but when you're the 'defeater-of-the-dark-lord-boy-who-lived-again' it can be difficult to form authentic relationships with people," said Harry with a chuckle as Narcissa smirked. "Like you, I am accustomed to being alone, but I was not prepared for how lonely my life has become."

"Hence, why you are here?" said Narcissa with a small grin.

"Indeed," responded Harry. They looked at each other for a time, both surprised at their willingness to share, and wondering what the other though of their current situation. They were both pulled out of their reverie by the approach of the waiter.

"May I get you something to drink ma'am," asked the young waiter.

"I'll have a glass of the Vosne-Romanee please," said Narcissa smoothly.

"And for you sir?"

"I'll have the same," said Harry. Narcissa looked at him in surprise. Harry just shrugged.

"I don't know much about wine, but I'm always willing to try something new," said Harry with a grin. Narcissa smiled softly at him and then went back to browsing the menu. When she had decided what she wanted she put the menu down and engaged Harry in conversation once again.

"How do you like being an Auror Lord Potter?" asked Narcissa. Harry beamed at her in surprise. 'She knows I became an Auror? Has she asked about me?' He was shocked by how much he wanted her to be interested in him. 'Don't overthink it, she probably just assumed that is what I would go into. It's what everyone expected after all, like Ginny.'

"I actually work for the Department of Mysteries now?" stated Harry proudly.

"Oh, and do you like that?" Narcissa asked as she sipped the wine that had just been brought to the table.

"Yes, I really enjoy it. I just finished my internship year and have started a full-time position as an Unspeakable, so I get to start picking my own projects which I'm excited about," said Harry as he tried the wine. "Hmm, this is really good!"

"Why did you stop being an Auror? If you don't mind me asking. It seemed like a fitting career for you," said Narcissa in curiosity.

"I don't mind you asking Miss Black. That is the point of a date is it not? Getting to know each other?" said Harry.

"Yes," breathed Narcissa. Harry nodded.

"I guess there are two reasons. I didn't find it fulfilling, and I wanted out of the spotlight. I've had enough fighting for a lifetime. I'd much rather lead a quiet life," Harry answered honestly.

"But you're a lord now, you can't be out of the spotlight entirely, and I doubt the wizarding world would let you," replied Narcissa with a smirk.

"I know, but I'll take any moments of peace I can get," responded Harry. Narcissa looked thoughtful for a moment and then nodded.

"I can understand that," she replied. Before Harry could respond the waiter came by to take their orders. Narcissa ordered the poached salmon and Harry ordered the mixed grill. "So, what do you do with the Department of Mysteries? Or can you not tell me?"

"I did my internship in the death room. Apparently, that's where everyone starts. They say if you can make it through a year in the death room you can make it anywhere," Harry said with a shrug. "I'm in the time room now, but I haven't decided what project I want to work on. Maybe by our next date I'll have decided and can tell you then."

"Next date? That's awfully presumptuous of you Lord Potter," said Narcissa. But her genuine smile betrayed her true thoughts.

"Just optimistic," replied Harry as he returned the smile. Over the rest of the meal, they spoke like they were old friends, both surprised by how comfortable they felt in the other's company, and how eager they were to get to know the other. When they finished dessert, Harry paid, not even looking at the amount. Narcissa raised her eyebrow at this.

"Do you need to get back or would you care to take a stroll in the garden? I - I find myself not wanting the evening to end so soon," said Harry shyly. Narcissa's smile widened. Harry was glad to see her mask falling more and more as the night went on.

"I have no reason to rush back," said Narcissa softly.

"Great," said Harry as he stood and offered her his arm. Once they got out into the garden, they walked in silence for some time just enjoying the view and watching in awe as the faeries flew around and sang softly. Harry tried to ignore the way Narcissa's fingers seemed to burn into his skin where they were resting gently against his forearm. His heart raced as he tried to come up with something clever to say.

"You look stunning tonight by the way. I was a bit overwhelmed when I first saw you, so I didn't say anything, but I wanted you to know. I mean you always look great- but you look especially lovely tonight," said Harry hastily. Narcissa laughed softly as Harry blushed. 'What is wrong with me? I was just going to ask what she likes to do in her free time, how did that end up coming out?'

"Thank you Lord Black, it is nice to be noticed," replied Narcissa with an amused smile.

"I don't think I could ever not notice you Miss Black," said Harry. This time Narcissa blushed, and Harry decided to try his question again.

"So, what do you like to do in your free time?" he asked, then sighed in relief. 'Oh good, it came out right this time.'

"I like to read, brew potions. I love to dance, and you may find this surprising, but I really enjoy gardening."

"Really? And the house elves are okay with that?" asked Harry. Narcissa laughed.

"They tend to the majority of the property, but I have a small area that is all mine. It was a battle at first, but they have agreed not to touch it. What do you like to do?" asked Narcissa in return.

"Well, I like to cook, and I also enjoy reading, but I must confess my dancing skills are not the best," said Harry with a shy smile.

"Are you any good?" asked Narcissa. Harry nearly stumbled as he stopped walking so abruptly. He looked over at her with wide eyes as his face flushed crimson. Narcissa laughed. "I meant at cooking."

"Oh. Well, I think so, but I haven't really had many opportunities to cook for other people. You'd have to ask Ginny if you want someone's opinion," said Harry.

"Hmm, I guess I'll just have to hope I get the chance to find out for myself someday," said Narcissa with a flirtatious grin. Harry blushed even deeper as he began to walk again. 'If this is some kind of flirting contest I am definitely losing.'

"Do you still talk to Ginny?" Narcissa asked quietly. Harry hoped that was a hint of jealousy in her voice as he looked over at her neutral expression.

"It's been about six months since we've spoken. She was pretty angry with me the last time I saw her. Maybe someday we will be friends but for now..." Harry trailed off, not sure what to say.

"Why did it end?" asked Narcissa curiously.

"After the battle at Hogwarts, we sort of just fell into a relationship, mostly because it seemed like that was what was expected of us, at least for me. Ginny wanted to be with Lord Potter, the-boy-who-saved-the-wizarding-world, not Harry Potter. She didn't see me, not really. We were comfortable together, but I never fell in love with her, and I felt like we both deserved better than that. I regret that I hurt her, but I can't regret that I walked away," said Harry honestly. Narcissa nodded in understanding.

"Well I can't say I blame her. Power can be very sexy. If you had been mine, I would have had a hard time letting you go as well," said Narcissa. Harry looked at her in surprise, wondering what she meant by that, exactly.

"What about you? Why did you divorce Lucius?" asked Harry. Narcissa sighed.

"Many of the same reasons I suppose. Our marriage was arranged since we were children. It was expected, comfortable, but while I do think he came to care for me, in his own way, there was never love there for either of us. I did my duty, and he was always kind to me, but I don't think he ever really knew me, or wanted to. I very much wanted a chance to be with someone because I chose to, because I loved them, and because they loved me," answered Narcissa. When Harry saw a bench slightly away from the main path, he walked over to it and pulled Narcissa down next to him on the seat.

"He did care for you very much. I don't know enough about love to be able to say whether or not he loved you, but he would have been crazy not to," said Harry. Narcissa looked at him in surprise and searched his eyes for sincerity.

"How do you know this?" she asked cautiously.

"I spoke with him recently," replied Harry. Narcissa looked at him with a hint of suspicion in her eyes and waited for him to continue. "Kingsley and I have become good friends since that night at Hogwarts. I told him shortly afterwards what you did for me that night in the forest, and when they started collecting death eater assets, I asked him to leave the Malfoy fortune alone. When he found out you had filed for divorce, he agreed, as long as Lucius left everything solely to you. So, I went to Azkaban, to ask him to do just that." Narcissa gasped.

"You didn't-?" Harry laughed softly as he shook his head.

"No, I didn't hurt him. We just talked. Mostly about you and a little about Draco. I still think he is a horrible person, but he did care about you," said Harry sincerely. Narcissa took his hand in hers, and Harry reveled in how soft her skin was as he smiled at her nervously.

"Thank you Lord Potter, it is nice to know that," responded Narcissa. They sat in silence for a while, both sneaking glances at the other. Eventually Narcissa spoke.

"Why? Why would you go to so much trouble for us?" She asked.

"Because it is important to me that you are safe and cared for. You saved my life Miss Black. I owe you much more than a conversation with Kingsley and a trip to Azkaban," replied Harry.

"Is that why you didn't walk away tonight, when you saw me, because you feel like you owe me?" Narcissa asked. She tried to pull her hand away, but Harry didn't let her.

"No, I didn't walk away because the moment I saw you, I knew beyond a doubt that I wanted to stay," he replied hoping it wasn't too much. Narcissa's soft smile encouraged him that it wasn't.

"You don't owe me anything Lord Potter. I admit that I did what I did for purely selfish reasons. I thought only of Draco. You, defeating the Dark Lord, was Draco's best chance of surviving," admitted Narcissa.

"Perhaps, but you couldn't have known that I would be successful. You took a chance on me, and that chance saved my life. You may have done it for Draco, but it was still brave, and it meant something to me," said Harry.

"It meant something to me too. The moment I felt your heart beating beneath my fingertips, I very much wanted you to win, to live, and not just for Draco's sake," replied Narcissa. After that the conversation changed to lighter subjects and they continued to talk until the restaurant closed and the staff demanded they leave. They walked to the apparation point together and then Harry leaned in and let his lips brush softly against her cheek.

"Can I see you again?" Harry whispered before he pulled away.

"We'll see," said Narcissa with a flirty smirk and then with a wink she was gone.

o – o – o – o – o

As soon as Narcissa arrived back at Malfoy Manor she collapsed against the door with her hand covering her mouth in shock. 'Did I actually just go on a date with Harry Potter? And did I actually enjoy myself?' When Narcissa first saw him, she had a second of unexpected excitement before her heart sank. She had expected Harry to be appalled at the sight of her and run in the opposite direction. But he hadn't, in fact, he barely seemed to hesitate before he came over and kissed her hand. The date itself had been wonderful, so much better than she had expected. She was pleasantly surprised by how polite, open and interested he was, and he seemed to appreciate her dry sense of humor. His table manners were impeccable so she couldn't even fault him on that. She was surprised when he started flirting with her, and even more surprised that she flirted back. When he paid, he didn't even look at the bill. She had requested one of the most expensive wines on the menu as a test. He was clearly rich enough that he didn't have to care about how much it cost, so that was a point in his favor as well. Maybe it was shallow of her, but status and money had always been important to her. It would be hard to ignore that now. Her heart skipped when he asked if she was willing to go for a stroll and confessed that he didn't want their date to end. She had been hoping to find a way to extend their time together and was delighted to know he felt the same. When they got outside, he had given her a hasty but genuine compliment that made her smile, and she couldn't help but laugh at his embarrassment when she had accidently made a sexual innuendo. His blush made her pulse quicken and her skin flush. He had grown into a very handsome young man, and she couldn't deny that there was an attraction there, and then she was further surprised at the jealousy she had felt when he mentioned his ex-girlfriend. The conversation after that had been much more difficult. She couldn't comprehend why he cared so much about her wellbeing, and when he said he owed her for saving his life, she hesitated, feeling like that could be the only reason he was here. How could she have actually thought he would been interested in her? But when she tried to pull her hand away, he held on and reassured her that he was there because he wanted to be. She was amazed when they continued to talk until the restaurant closed. They had to have been sitting there for at least a couple hours. She had never enjoyed someone else company that long. When it was time to leave, he had kissed her cheek gently and then asked if he could see her again, and now here she was. Draco would never approve, but she was her own keeper now and could do as she pleased. She didn't need his approval, not really. She deserved a chance at happiness, and she could tell there was potential with Harry. Could she let this chance pass her by just because she was afraid of other people's reactions? Narcissa scoffed as she pushed off from the wall and walked to her bedroom. 'I'm a Black, I've never been bothered by other's disdain for me, why start now? Yes, if Potter asks me out again, I do believe I'll say yes.'

Narcissa looked like a giddy school-girl as she fluttered around her room getting ready for bed. She fell asleep with a soft, genuine smile on her face and an unfamiliar sense of hope at what the future might hold. She slept better than she had in years and woke up still smiling serenely.

While she ate breakfast there was a soft pop and Kreacher appeared in the kitchen with a large vase of daffodils and a note. He bowed deeply and then popped away. Narcissa gasped softly when she saw the flowers. 'How did he know? He must have taken the time to learn about me.' Just as she grabbed for the note, Draco walked into the kitchen.

"How was your date mother," asked Draco, though he was clearly reluctant to know the answer as he sat down at the table.

"It was lovely dear, thank you for asking," replied Narcissa as she sipped her tea.

"Oh? So, are you going to see him again then?" asked Draco curiously despite his annoyance at her dating in the first place. Narcissa looked down at the note before responding.

Thank you for a wonderful evening Miss Black. Optimistically hoping you will join me for dinner tomorrow night?

-H

"Yes, I believe I will," responded Narcissa as she looked up at Draco with a soft smile. Draco harrumphed and continued to eat his breakfast. Once Draco left, she summoned some ink and parchment and replied to Harry's note.

Thank you for the flowers. I would be delighted to join you for dinner Lord Potter.

-N

Narcissa couldn't help the satisfied smile she wore for the rest of the day. Draco either ignored it or didn't notice, but Astoria was quick to comment on it when she arrived after work.

"I've never seen you smile like this Narcissa. I take it the date went well then?" She asked while she ate her dinner.

"It far exceeded my expectations," replied Narcissa. Astoria gave a very unladylike squeal in response, causing Draco to scowl and hastily leave the room to avoid the rest of the conversation.

"So tell me about him, who were you matched with?" asked Astoria.

"Lord Potter," replied Narcissa with a mischievous glint in her eyes.

"Lord Potter? As in Harry Potter?" questioned Astoria in surprise. That was not the name she had been expecting.

"Well, I do believe he is the only Potter left so yes," said Narcissa cheekily.

"And you had a good time?" asked Astoria in disbelief. Narcissa nodded. "Wow, um, we probably shouldn't mention that part to Draco yet. He's still adjusting to you dating again and this might be too much for him. We'll keep it between us for now and if it becomes serious you can tell him. Do you think it will get serious?" Narcissa was silent for a moment while she decided how honest she should be.

"There is no way to know for sure I suppose, but I find myself very much hoping it does. I want to pursue this more than I have wanted to do anything in a very long time," answered Narcissa honestly. Astoria raised her eyebrows in surprise.

"When are you seeing him again?" she asked.

"Tomorrow night," said Narcissa. Astoria nodded.

"I'll keep Draco busy," Astoria replied.

o – o – o – o - o

When Harry got back to Grimmauld Place he had a content smile as he walked into the lounge.

"That went well- really well- yah that went well," he mumbled as he sat on the sofa with a glass of fire whiskey. While he sipped his drink, he thought about the evening and what he should do next to secure a second date. 'She said we'll see, but the flirty wink gives me hope she'd yes if I asked again.' After a few more minutes, he wandered into the hallway.

"Mrs. Black, I wanted to send Narcissa something nice, do you happen to know what she would like?" Harry asked politely.

"You are courting my youngest niece?" asked Walburga in disbelief.

"Um well not yet- I don't think- but I want to?" said Harry shyly. It was silent while Walburga's eyes burned holes in him.

"I see," she replied. "Narcissa is fond of flowers."

"What kind of flowers?" asked Harry.

"Do you expect me to do all of the work for you halfblood? Figure it out yourself," sneered Mrs. Black.

"Very well, Mrs. Black. Thank you for the help," he responded. Though meant as an insult her comment gave him an idea and he headed to the library. After a couple hours of looking through the family archive section of the library, he found what he was looking for and knew what to send Narcissa. When he realized the late, or rather early, hour he decided to get a couple hours of sleep before he sent her a note with a request for a second date.

He woke up the next morning and conjured a bouquet and then wrote out a note. He asked Kreacher to ensure she was alone when he delivered the flowers and then hoped he heard back from her. He was surprised at how quickly she responded to his invitation and felt a rush of anticipation run through him at the thought of seeing her again. Now he just had to plan the perfect date. He wouldn't have Luna to do all the work for him this time. In the end, he decided to go visit Andromeda and Teddy a day early, in the hopes she might have some helpful advice, it was her sister after all.

When he arrived at the Tonks residence for dinner the first thing Andromeda noticed was the huge smile on his face.

"It went that well?" She asked in surprise.

"I think so, I feel good about it. She agreed to go out with me again tomorrow night," said Harry.

"Unca Harry, dragons, dragons," yelled Teddy as he jumped up and down.

"Duty calls Andie, I'll tell you all about it during dinner," said Harry as Teddy dragged him up the stairs. He played with Teddy until Andromeda called them to dinner. As soon as Andromeda put Harry's plate down in front of him the questions began.

"So, who's the lucky girl that can make you smile like that?" Andromeda asked.

"Well I'm not sure you can call her a girl," said Harry blushing. Andromeda raised her eyebrows in surprise.

"An older woman?" She asked.

"Yes," said Harry shoveling food into his mouth in case he was kicked out before he finished his meal. Silence reigned until Andromeda let out an annoyed huff.

"Well, I'm waiting," she said with a smirk. Harry gave her a sheepish look and sighed as he put down his fork.

"It's your sister," he said simply.

"My sister?" replied Andromeda as her hand tightened around her own fork. "Are you sure it was her?" Harry laughed.

"Yes, I'm sure." Said Harry. The awkward silence continued while Andromeda glared at him. Harry could tell she was trying to keep herself under control since Teddy was in the room. 'Thank Merlin for small mercies.'

"I can't fathom anyone going on a date with my sister and having a good time, but you of all people? I don't understand how you can get along with her, how you don't hate her for all she has done," responded Andromeda. Harry thought for a while before he reacted.

"She saved me you know? In the forbidden forest. She lied to Voldemort and told him I was dead. It is the only reason I walked out - or was carried out rather - of that forest alive. I know that she has done some things that are difficult to forgive..." started Harry. Andromeda scoffed. "But I can't hate her for trying to protect her only son. If there was something you could have done to protect Dora no matter how 'dark' it was considered, would you have done it?"

"That's a completely unfair question," yelled Andromeda as she slammed her fork on the table. Teddy looked up at her in fear.

"Sorry Teddy, that wasn't aimed at you," said Andromeda as she leaned over and kissed the top of his head. Then she took a couple deep breathes and looked back over at Harry when she'd calmed down.

"Maybe, but I think you, more than anyone else, can understand her motivations even if you don't agree with the choices she made. You knew her when she was younger Andromeda. Even from just one date I can tell there is a beautiful person under the mask she shows the world, a person worth knowing. Tell me that's not true," finished Harry. Andromeda thought about this for a time and then sighed is resignation.

"Can you bring her here sometime?" she asked softly.

"You won't hurt her will you?" Asked Harry seriously. Andromeda rolled her eyes.

"Other than Teddy she is the only family I have left. I would like to get to know my little sister again. Perhaps now is the time. Our parents are gone, the war is over... and if she's falling as hard for you as you are for her then you might as well bring her to visit," smirked Andromeda.

"What makes you think I'm falling for her that hard?" asked Harry with rapidly reddening cheeks. Andromeda just grinned at him in response. When Teddy had finished his food and ran into the living room, Harry asked Andromeda for a favour.

"I was trying to think of somewhere to take her tomorrow night. She said likes to dance. Do you know of anywhere I can take her for a nice dinner and dancing in the muggle world?" asked Harry. Andromeda's eyes brightened.

"I know just the place," said Andromeda as her eyes glazed over with fond memories.

"Great, and one more favour Andie. Can you teach me to dance?" asked Harry in embarrassment.

"Teach you to dance? So, you can woo my youngest sister?" Andromeda stated. She looked she was going to say no, but Harry seemed so desperate and more determined than she'd ever seen him. 'Merlin, he's already in love with her.' She sighed.

"Fine."

When Harry got home, he finalized his plans for his date with Narcissa and then sent Kreacher with another note.

Dress for fine dining and dancing in muggle London. I'll pick you up at 7.

The next morning Harry woke up early and extremely nervous. He didn't run often anymore, but this morning he did in what ended up being a futile attempt at calming his nerves. In the end, he ended up back in the library at Grimmauld Place. When he came after their first date, he found several old photo albums of pictures of the Black sisters growing up, some even had Sirius in them. He enjoyed seeing Narcissa being so carefree. He had put them aside to ask Hermione to help him make copies of some of the albums, since he thought both Black sisters might like to have them. When Kreacher let him know that it was 6pm, Harry went to shower and then he put on a freshly pressed pair of black trousers and a button up silk shirt. He completed the ensemble with a black suit jacket but decided against the tie. At 6:55, he apparated to Malfoy manor. He heart pounded as he walked towards the imposing mansion. He couldn't help but chuckle at how different things were from the last time he was here, but then he thought about Hermione and winced. 'I'll have to tread carefully when it comes to telling her about this relationship. Is it even a relationship yet? When does it become a relationship?' He took some deep breathes to calm his nerves as he realized he was freaking himself out and then once he had himself together, he knocked on the door. He was immediately greeted by a house elf.

"The mistress will be down in a moment. She is finishing getting ready, sir."

"Thank you - err," said Harry.

"Tilly," supplied the elf.

"Thank you Dotty. I shall wait here," said Harry. The elf bowed and popped away. Ten minutes later, he heard the sound of heels clicking down the stairs and went to greet Narcissa when she reached the bottom. He gulped visibly as he saw her walking down the stairs. She looked stunning in a form fitting black mini dress, with matching low heels, and a silver wrap around her shoulders. Tonight, her hair was loose and flowed softly down her back. It was held back from her face with a single snake shaped diamond comb, and her plump red lips were perfectly contrasted by a light dusting of makeup. Harry wanted nothing more to rush over and kiss her in that moment and he was surprised by how all-consuming that desire was. It took every ounce of control he had to just smile at her and settle for kissing her hand instead. Though his lips did linger a moment longer than strictly necessary.

"I am not sure there is even a word to describe how stunning you look tonight Miss Black. I feel like a very lucky man that you agreed to let me take you out," said Harry as he pulled away. Narcissa blushed prettily.

"Thank you, Lord Potter," she replied as she pressed her lips firmly to his cheek. She watched the blush creep up his neck as his face flushed and smirked in satisfaction as she pulled away. Harry offered her his arm and walked her outside. When they reached the edge of the wards where you could apparate, he wrapped one arm around her waist and pulled her in close. Narcissa gasped softly as she thought he might kiss her, but instead he just smiled tenderly at her and in a blink of an eye they were gone.
