Demigod CYOA 3

MCU 1

Junkyards. Sakaar.

Given that I appeared on solid ground the last two times I'd been pulled from one universe to another it came as quite the surprise to me to find myself getting thrown out of some of crazy tunnel that looked like something out of science fiction, and into the sky of a world.

Quite understandably I panicked and this point and forgot that I could turn into a bird, although given the speeds I'd been falling at I might not have been able to control my fight and since I hit the ground rather fast there hadn't really been any time for me to do anything other than scream.

I hit something soft, not that this would made much of a different if I hadn't been immune to physical damage due to The Orbs of Nezzla'Khan and I spent some time rolling down what turned out to be an entire mountain made up of socks. Which I would have wondered about had not been heading down to them.

When I made to the ground I got up and began to look around. As far as my eyes could see I was in some sort of vast scrapheap and there was junk falling down from the sky out of portals. All of which seemed familiar and after a few moments I figured out exactly where I'd ended up.

Unless I was very much mistaken this was Sakaar, an artificial trash planet created by the Grandmaster, it is a word surrounded by numerous wormholes that deposit rubbish from what I assumed to be different parts the Marvel Cinematic Universe and perhaps beyond. I must have gotten sucked into a wormhole when appearing in this dimension.

Before long I recalled that time doesn't pass on this world as it does in the rest of the universe. This was shown when Loki was tossed onto Sakaar only seconds before Thor but arrived two weeks before Thor did.

Add to that the Grandmaster claiming that he would be "millions of years old" compared to the outside world, and I could be here for a very long time if I didn't a way out of here as I was supposed to experience a year of liner time before I moved onto the next dimension. Since liner time might not even exist here in a sense I would understand I could be here for a day or a million years. I'd had this sort of trouble before thanks to hell-dimensions and so I very much wanted to get back to universe that had proper time.

I wondered if the Hulk was here. Following the Battle of Sokovia, Hulk took the Avengers' Quinjet and left Earth, flying into space and through a wormhole that caused him to crash land on Sakaar. While trapped here on Sakaar, The Hulk encountered the Grandmaster, who took a liking the big guy due to his fighting skills. Soon, Hulk became the Grandmaster's new champion, fighting gladiators for the entertainment of thousands of Sakaarans who would practically worship him.

Later when the Goddess of Death Hela returned from her banishment, she forcefully cast out her brothers Thor and Loki while using the Bifrost and they ended up on Sakaar. Loki arrived first and befriended with the Grandmaster despite having fallen out of the Bifrost seconds apart. That meant that even if time did pass in a liner fashion a year could seem like decades or centuries to me and I was not immortal I might die of old before I got pulled into another universe. Assuming that aging mattered here.

While here Thor was captured by a Scrapper to be sold to the Grandmaster, who sent Thor to fight in the Grand Arena with the other gladiators. So far there was no sign of that woman, who was called Valkyrie if I remembered right. She wasn't here right now, but I did soon met some other people. Which made me glad that I'd decided to wait before getting Faith out of the Pocket Dimension as this was a not a secure place to do such a thing.

I guessed that these humanoids were scavengers who lived outside of any cities. If they were anything the Wildlings of Westeros, and that they was likely given that lack of uniformity and ragtag appearance, then they would be divided organized in different clans and tribes, they would survive by foraging for materials and go after newcomers. The lucky sods might be recruited into their tribes and the unlucky ones would be used as food or be made into slaves.

What the gang heading my way had planned for me I didn't know and I felt fairly sure that I didn't want to find out. They had that Mad Max vibe about them and when one of them fired a netgun at me I felt very glad that I was able to manipulate space enough to teleport about twenty feet. That wasn't much, but thanks to getting plenty of practice I could keep teleporting so from their perspective I vanished only to pop up unexpectedly nearby.

"Flee or die" I said.

I didn't even know if they could understand me and while the tone of voice would make it clear that I was warning them they didn't listen. One of the raiders fired an energy weapon at me as my sword came into play. This blinded my new enemies and since it was clear that they had no intention of leaving me be I felt no guilt in cutting them down.

Before any of them could recover their eye sight I made a hand gesture and sent one of them flying off into a pile of junk that would be far less pleasant to land on than the sock mountain he made an amusing yelling noise as he went flying. I then charged and batted aside a crude club that one of these scavengers carried before I swung my sword and removed the humanoid's head.

That guy had to be the leader because as soon as he dropped the others became much more cautious around me, a few even backing off. Some sort of harpoon gun was fired, but the projectile was easily knocked aside by my sword.

Thor must have been really weakened by his trip here and the loss of his hammer to have been captured by these guys as they were chumps and as a few of them started dying the rest of them ran off like a load of cowards.

Only as it turned out that wasn't totally because of me, a ship had also turned up, and this one had big guns and a very attractive pilot who opened up with some guns that made sure the raiders wouldn't be back any time soon.

I waited for Valkyrie to land and to exit her ship. Brunnhilde was one of the many Valkyries sent by Odin to drive Hela back to her prison. Riding a winged steed, Valkyrie engaged Hela in combat. Hela created a vast amount of weapons that she used to kill the Valkyrie as they descended on her. Brunnhilde was one of the last of the Valkyrie, managing to avoid death by the ferocious attack when Hela then personally engaged her but was thwarted by the only other remaining Valkyrie.

Brunnhilde fights against Hela

Being all that remained of the Asgardian warrior maidens, Brunnhilde exiled herself to the planet Sakaar where she served the Grandmaster as one of his best acquisition specialists under the designation "Scrapper 142". She had an antagonistic relationship with the Grandmaster's bodyguard, Topaz, but was favored by the Grandmaster himself. Scrapper 142 eventually found and brought the Grandmaster Hulk after he arrived on Sakaar.[2]

She seemed sober enough and when she tried to get me with one of those control devices she stuck on Thor my sword broke her little toy before I could make contact with my body. Not that this stopped her from trying a few more times.

"There's no need for that I'm happy to go with you" I informed the Asgardian.

She didn't listen and kept trying to tag me with a control device.

"I'm sure those aren't cheap" I said "And you don't need them I want you to take me to the Grandmaster or whatever it is he calls himself".

Since Valkyrie was here that meant she hadn't left with Thor and so I needed to know if Hulk was the arena champion because if he was then I could wait for Thor to arrive, help him escape and get involved in the events of the Infinity War. Given some time to think I felt sure that I could come up with a few ways of preventing The Snap. But that was something to plan out when I had a place to sit and think.

"You want to be sold to the Grandmaster?" she asked.

To be fair rarely volunteer to become slaves.

"No I want to met him and make a deal" I corrected "He wants fighters and I need a place to say".

Given that Loki was quickly able to worm his way into the Grandmaster's confidence then I should at least be able to get him to agree to put me up somewhere nice in exchange for putting on a show in the arena. Even if he turned me into a slave that would be better than hanging around with the savages. I still need to sleep and I'd be vulnerable when I did.

"Fine" Valkyrie said, giving in "Just hurry up. I haven't go all day".

Given the nature of time here there really wasn't a rush, she most likely just wanted to get paid so she could go back to her drinking and that was fine with me since it was Thor's job to try to win her over not mine.

With that in mind I placed my sword back in its scabbard and soon it did that the alien woman again tried to tag me with one of those things that could keep even Thor in line only I'd suspected that she might try this and so I caught the device with my telekinetic powers. She'd already been reaching for the machine that controlled the shocker so I grabbed that two as I tagged her with the device. I'd practiced my tk a lot so I had very good control of it.

"Give me that" she ordered.

I soon had her spasming on the ground and I considered leaving her there, but I wanted to get off this of rubbish tip of a planet a some point and wouldn't let me and Faith tag along if I left her here. Because I had no idea how to fly her ship.

"Not so much fun when the roles are reversed is it?" I asked.

I stopped the shocks or whatever they were and let her stand up.

"Take me to the Grandmaster and I'll give this remote" I promised.

My guess was that this remote could also remove the control device since there must be a way to remove them.

"Okay I'll take you" she promised.

I kept my hands on the remote not trusting this woman as far I could throw. Actually far less than I could throw her.

"Nice ship" I commented.

She didn't seem to be in the mood for conversation.

"Sit down and shut up" she ordered.

Well I could shock her in an attempt to make her act more nicely I didn't bother as I didn't care enough to try and I wasn't sadistic enough to hurt her for the fun of it. Instead I kept my eye on her as we flew towards the city and my meeting with the Grandmaster.
