19. Chapter 19

Chapter 19

Q/N: I just realized I made a mistake last chapter. I mixed up Ellowen Arc-Ederne's weapon with Marrion Arc-Thyme's weapon. Ellowen has a modified M1 Garand Gauss rifle; Marrion's the one with the crossbow.

Ruby Rose's POV

Ruby glares at the Gentleman Thief angrily. "Why Roman? Why would you turn on us? Why would you turn on Neo?" She asks. None of them even notice the stray Griffon in the sky. It's a very familiar Griffon too, the one that was supposed to eat Roman. Roman laughs at the girls. "What? Do you think I enjoy being a glorified sex toy? It's humiliating! Of course I took the first chance to get out that I could. Besides, Gammarius clearly has this thing won and well, it's like I always say-" He says as the Griffon starts to descend from the sky. "You gotta lie, cheat, steal and-" Roman starts to say before turning around and shooting an explosive flare right down the Griffons throat before jumping out of the way.

The Griffon crashes into the ground and explodes a second later. "HAH! I DON'T THINK SO! NOT THIS TIME, YOU SON OF A BITCH! I AM NOT GOING OUT LIKE THAT!" Roman says while repeatedly kicking the dead Grimm in the head. "Sorry griffy boy, but this gentleman is NOT on the menu." He says before stomping the creature's skull in. He stops abusing the creature when he hears Ruby start to giggle, confusing him and Weiss.

"Okay, what gives Little Red? I've got you outgunned and outnumbered. You and your friends are as good as dead. So what is it that's so funny to you?" Roman asks. Ruby barely manages to stifle her giggling before turning to Roman. "Why did you bring a bunch of robots Roman?" Ruby asks. Roman quirks an eyebrow at this. "Because Celestia's two blocks away from here? Her semblance doesn't work on machines." He responds. Ruby starts laughing again, annoying the man. "What is so funny about this kid?!" He yells.

"Y-you messed up Roman. We switched the teams around at the last minute. Celestia's with the team destroying the beacon, Pyrrha's the one who's two blocks down and you just came at us with a bunch of tin cans." Ruby says. Roman's eyes widen in shock and horror at this. The sound of crunching metal confirms his worst fears as all of the machines are suddenly crushed like soda cans. He turns to the side and sees an irate Pyrrha Nikos.

"Uhhh… syke?" Roman whimpers weakly. Unfortunately for the group, a small horde of Beowolfs and Ursai charge into the streets, giving Roman the perfect chance to slip away. Ruby looks back to where he was and groans when she notices he's gone. She pulls out her scroll and calls Neo. "Hey Neo? You're little bitch turned traitor on us. Pyrrha dealt with his robots, but he escaped when the Grimm came around. Can you track him down for us?" Ruby says.

Neo looks absolutely furious upon hearing this. She hangs up without answering, but Ruby can tell she's going to deal with him, allowing the three women to turn their attention to the invading Grimm. A massive pair of plasma beams shooting into the sky is all it takes for them to remember they're in the middle of a war unlike anything they've ever seen.

Fenrir's POV

Fenrir is flying through the air from the force of Khanus' last charge when he narrowly avoids a pair of plasma beams. He slams into the ground and turns it into a roll before standing back up. The sound of screaming catches him off guard. He looks back and notices a small family of Faunus staring at him. He looks around and realizes just how close he's gotten to Kuo Kuana. Khanus charges in and Fenrir can tell that even if he wanted to, the Pig Grimm would not be able to avoid hitting them.

He braces himself and crosses his four swords, stopping Khanus in his tracks at the cost of his own aura. "G-Go! Get out of here!" Fenrir says. The family seems absolutely shocked at first, but they take the chance to run. Most of the Grimm abandoned the area when they felt the two of them coming. Fenrir pushes back against the boar with his lower pair of swords while charging the upper left sword with Fire Dust and the upper right sword with Lightning Dust.

He slams the two swords into the side of Khanus' skull, causing an explosion that rocks the entire continent and sending him flying off into the horizon, with Fenrir following close behind. The entire scene was caught by Lisa Lavender, who seems to be speechless.

Lisa Lavendar's POV

"D-did that Grimm just talk?" She stutters. Robyn sighs at this while Amelia shoots a stray Nevermore out of the sky. "That's Fenrir, he's not from our reality." Robyn says before sending a gravity bolt at a Griffon who got too close to the tower. The Grimm slams into the ground with enough force to crush its body on impact. "He's an ally, the Boarbatusk is Khanus, and he's with Gammarius." She adds. A burst of despair suddenly hits everyone on the island, disappearing a mere second later.

Amelia turns a wide eyed stare to the source. "Melody? What the hell? You don't lose control like that." Amelia says just as Fiona bursts onto the roof. "Amelia, Melody's here, I'll help Robyn, go deal with her." Fiona says. Amelia nods before leaping off the tower and rushing toward the west side of the village.

Winter Schnee's POV

Winter and Blanc clash with enough force to generate a burst of wind from the point where there weapons collided. She summons a glyph and an Ursa the size of a four story house charges at the fallen Arc sister. While Blanc is distracted by the Ursa, Winter summons another glyph and a flurry of ice spikes flies at Alexander. Glynda uses her semblance to increase their speed to the point that it knocks the Spartan to the side despite the fact that he blocked the attacks. Glynda pulls a rock on the ceiling loose, causing massive stalactites to rain down upon him.

Glynda is forced to dodge when a wave of fire is sent her way by Blanc, who had just decapitated the Ursa. Winter pulls her parrying dagger out of her sword and charges toward Blanc. "Juniper? What's taking so long? Get the staff out of here so we can evacuate the island!" Winter says into her head set.

The sound of gunfire on the other side of the conversation confirms her worst fears. "We've run into a bit of resistance. The Council ordered the Atlesian Military to stop us. They've labeled you and what's left of Ace Ops as traitors in response to Willow's sabotaging of the SDC's mines." Juniper says, making Winter growl in frustration. Meanwhile, Mantle has devolved into a state of all out war as the people of Mantle loyal to Robyn Hill and the Faunus stage a full rebellion against Atlas.

Juniper Arc's POV

Juniper is taking cover behind a makeshift barricade built by the Mantlean rebels under heavy fire. She was shocked to see them organize so rapidly, but according to Fiona's uncle Clive Thyme, this revolt has been brewing for a while. The announcement that Atlas had authorized the genocide on Menagerie was just a tipping point. She waits for a break in the firing and leaps out from behind the barricade before releasing a powerful screech. Juniper's Semblance is Sound Manipulation. She can increase the strength and loudness of the vibrations caused by sound. It's where she got her title as the Banshee of Arkin.

The powerful vibrations shatter all the glass in a five mile radius and tears the roads beneath the soldiers and robots firing at them to pieces. Dozens of rebels come out of hiding and open fire on the Atlesians, forcing the soldiers into retreat. They were doing a decent job of holding back the military when the Atlesian Cruisers made their appearance.

Meanwhile, news of the revolt in Mantle was being reported around the world. They weren't alone in that regard either, as Mistral has erupted into chaos as well on both levels. The majority of the students at Haven Academy have joined the war effort, being led by Leonardo Lionheart surprisingly. Where his sudden burst of courage has come from is unknown, but not unwelcome. After speaking with Ironwood, Special Operative Cordovin has gone on the air to declare Argus' independence as well. Apparently news of the genocide has also not been well received at Atlas Academy either, as a civil war seems to have erupted within the school.

In Vale, the violence is much smaller in scale, with only the more fanatical side of the Church of the Two Brothers really causing problems. It's mostly unorganized rioting as the church didn't really have much time to prepare. Ironically, Vacuo seems to be the most stable region right now. Professor Ozpin appears next to Winter looking rather grim. "If the Cruisers have been deployed, that must mean the Grimm have been drawn to the fighting here in Mantle. This is bad Juniper." He says.

Of course, Ozpin didn't realize just how right he was. Rather than firing on the Grimm, the Cruisers started firing on Mantle itself. "W-what the hell?! They can't do that! Using Cruisers against a settlement this size is a war crime!" Clive says as the Mantleans start to panic. Juniper turns to Ozpin, who is in complete shock. He knew that Atlas could be cruel at times, but this is far beyond anything he had ever imagined. He clenches his fist around the Long Memory as he looks down to the weapon.

He glares over at Atlas as he understands what he must do. "Juniper, I need you to get us up to the Airships. I'm afraid we have no choice but to use my staff's most powerful ability." Ozpin says. Juniper's eyes widen in shock. "But destroying the Cruisers would mean they can't use them to defend Mantle against the Grimm." She says.

"Yeah, well that's not what they're doing right now anyway! According to reports around the city, they're trying to use them to blow down the walls! If we don't do something, they'll feed us all to the Grimm! Atlas has its shields, what do we have?!" Clive yells. This is all it takes to convince Juniper that the Cruisers must be destroyed. She hoists Ozpin onto her back and shoots streams of fire from her feet as they fly into the sky.

Helga Valkyrie's POV

The part of Kuo Kuana where Helga and Ghira are fighting has been reduced to craters and rubble by the war taking place between what might very well be the two most powerful hunters on Remnant right now. Despite the absolute devastation of the surrounding area, neither Helga nor Ghira seem to be hurting much. Ghira's Mantis Shrimp avatar turns into a Whale while the Turtle becomes a Cheetah. He rushes up to Helga at blinding speeds and releases a devastating bellow right in her face.

A lot of people may not realize it, but Whales are incredibly loud, to the point where there vocalizations can actual cause internal damage to humans if they are close enough. Helga had been warned about this earlier, so she managed to find specialized ear plugs to protect her hearing. The vibrations, however, managed to knock her off balance, and Ghira capitalizes by kicking her in the side of the head, with the Whale becoming a Horse at the last minute.

Helga is sent flying by the force of his attack. The woman's eyes widen as she realizes just how strong the impact was. Most Hunters would have been reduced to a bloody smear on the ground by that hit, even if their aura had been at 100%. Rather than leaving her disturbed, Helga grins like a maniac before righting herself midflight and sliding across the ground as her tail twitches in anticipation. Cats may be known for their reflexes, but Squirrels aren't exactly slouches in that area.

Ghira charges as the Horse becomes a Rhino again. He was expecting Helga to be stunned by the noise, but she recovered quicker than he anticipated. Helga transformed Isbryt back into its gun form and Ghira's momentum prevented him from dodging as she shoots him point blank in the face. Despite being muffled, Isbryt's cry was loud as Ghira is hit with the equivalent of a 200 mm cannon. Having not had the chance to switch to the Turtle mode, Ghira takes a massive hit. Despite the power of the gun, it only manages to take 45% of his aura.

Helga surges forward, returning Isbryt to its axe form in the process and slams the axe into his spine with enough force to carve out a decent size crater in the ground. Much to her shock, Ghira rises out of the smoke with the Mantis Shrimp above him as he lands a viscous uppercut to Helga's jaw.

She is sent flying, but she corrects herself midair and lands on her feet. Those last hits had been devastating for both of them, as is evident by the black eye Ghira is sporting and the bruised jaw Helga has. Helga had decided against letting Jaune use his semblance on her, as she believed the others would need it more. She isn't regretting that decision a bit as the two grin like maniacs at each other.

Meanwhile, the fight is reaching a bloody crescendo for Team Blood and Guts as the last of the fanatics throw themselves into the wood chipper.

Kandi Arc-Kohle's POV

Kandi's normally vibrantly colored clothes are covered in blood as the last of the Sons of Mathias throw themselves against the wall that is team Blood and Guts. The symbols on Amber's body are glowing bright as her laser eyes cut through a wave of charging fanatics Homelander-style. While some of them have Aura unlocked, Amber's power levels have skyrocketed in the carnage, to the point where not even aura can protect them.

Kandi's Chakra/Drones return to their resting place around her arms as the rest of the team begins to wind down from the fight. Kandi winces when she sees the carnage they left behind. Tens of thousands of burned, dismembered and blown up bodies litter the streets. They had been hoping their brutality would scare some of them away, but they apparently underestimated just how fanatical they were.

Kandi, Sierra and Matilda converge on their leader awaiting orders. "Alright team, this may not have been pretty, but it had to be done. We need to split up and help the others now. Matilda, you go join Mia, Brody and Pyrrha's group. You two need to go help Ruby and Weiss defend the shelter where the Faunus are holed up. We've gotten as many people as we can underground, now we need to hold out for evacuation. I'm going to reinforce Violette, Elm and Tortuga." Amber says. With that, the three of them split up, leaving the scene of absolute carnage behind.

Ozpin's POV

When Ozpin and Juniper make it to the same altitude as the fleet, Ozpin takes one last second to look at the airships. He sighs in anguish as he realizes they are not at fault for this. From what he had heard, Atlesian Military had seen just as much carnage as Mantle. Believe it or not, many members of the Atlesian Military were not willing to attack the people of Mantle. This had turned the bases into warzones as well. Their fleet isn't even at full strength as 20% of it was destroyed in the fighting while another 9% of them escaped with what survived of those who resisted. The council had taken control of the machines remotely and turned on their own men. Atlas Academy is in chaos as well as a large number of students are revolting against the Council's actions.

The ones left were either forced to fight under threat of death or were fanatically devoted enough to Atlas that they didn't care. "I'm so sorry." Ozpin says before raising his now glowing staff.

Clive Thyme's POV

Clive and the rebels around the city watch in awe as a massive blast of light consumes the airships. The entire continent is rocked by the force of the explosion as the fleet is completely decimated. A few seconds later, the radio starts lighting up with messages. Apparently, with the gun against their head now gone, some of the Atlesian Soldiers are either surrendering or in some cases, joining the rebels in the fight. Unfortunately, with the robots still in the Council's control it may be too little, too late. Things take a turn for the worse when Atlas starts unleashing even more robots, including some of which they had never seen before. Many Paladin like machines start flooding the city, but these are nearly three times larger with more armor and firepower.

To make matters worse, the city's automatic defenses spring to life. Artillery from Atlas starts opening fire and disaster strikes as multiple holes are torn in Mantle's walls.

Juniper Arc's POV

Juniper and Ozpin watch in horror as the Grimm start flooding Mantle below them. The Atlesian robots have started retreating to Atlas itself, knowing that the Grimm will destroy Mantle for them. Ozpin pulls out his scroll and calls Abarrdas.

James Ironwood's POV

The iron bars General Ironwood is holding on to start crunching as he loses control of his grip strength. The man watches in horror as the Kingdom he loves commits some of the greatest war crimes since the Great War. "Abarrdas, Menagerie isn't the only place that needs to be evacuated anymore." Ozpin says. He looks to several other screens and grimaces. The council has apparently high jacked the machines in Argus as well, leading to a civil war within the city and the Mistrali's have started firebombing the parts of Lower Mistral rebelling against them. Haven's staff and students have either been killed or driven into Lower Mistral along with Professor Lionheart.

What's worse is that the media in Atlas and Mistral has taken Gammarius side, denouncing the rebels as criminal scum and (ironically) religious fanatics. Even worse, they've been using the displays of power from the Awakened against them by portraying them as dangerous in an attempt at fear mongering. "All of this in just a couple of hours… Gammarius has clearly been planning this for decades." Abarrdas says. Ciceria places a hand on her husband's shoulder. "So have we Abarrdas. We can't help Mistral, Atlas or Vacuo, but between Pietro Polendina, Jing Branwen and Jaune's kids, Blanc, Summer, Vyra and Sharvu, Vale's military is going to be centuries ahead of the rest." She says, surprising the mortals other than Pietro.

"We're sure that Roman wasn't able to get into the labs?" Abarrdas asked. Xareth nods. "Only you, me and the researchers the labs belong to are allowed access to them." She says. Abarrdas grunts before looking over to the fight between Winter/Glynda and Alexander/Blanc. "We need to end this fight now. It will take a little bit, but I should be able to send Summer Arc-Rose and Yaotl to overwhelm the Deviants in Atlas enough to force them into retreat. From there, we expand the original portal from everyone in Menagerie to everyone endangered by Gammarius. Let's just hope we can hold out." He says before looking toward the vitals of the fighters.

He winces when he sees how low Jaune's aura is starting to get. Even his massive reserves have limits. "Come on Jaune, just hang in there. He says. Noire Arc, who had entered the area some time earlier starts to worry about her brother immensely. She knows him very well; he's definitely stupid enough to use the Well of Souls to keep everyone safe.

Violette Arc's POV

You would think fighting to the death on Menagerie while buck naked would be the strangest experience she has ever had, but it barely manages to break the top 5. It's not even the first time she's fought naked, the Grimm don't care if your bathing in a stream, they're not going to give you a chance to get dressed. Her opponent, however, is clearly not used to it. The fact that Xanthe just barely makes it over Violette's belly button definitely doesn't help, nor does Violette's larger curves.

Every attack Xanthe makes just rolls off the larger woman like a brick wall thanks to her semblance. The body slam she delivers to the smaller woman proves to be the final straw. Even the strongest fighters can't hope to take a body slam from a woman whose weight has been increased to forty tons. She gets off the ground and looks down to see Xanthe squashed between her breasts. She falls out with a horrified expression locked onto her unconscious face. Violette laughs at this as the woman vanishes, no doubt retrieved by Gammarius.

Meanwhile, things have taken a turn for the worse for the other 2 fighters in the area.

Elm Ederne's POV

Elm is on her last leg as she continues the fight against Tai Yang Xiao Long. Across the way, Tortuga doesn't appear to be doing much better. When Tai Yang lands a particularly nasty punch to Elm's jaw, she is sent flying toward Nicolas Schnee, who sends Tortuga flying before turning to Elm and raising his sword, determined to finish her off once and for all. When Elm finally sees Nicolas, she realizes this is it. She closes her eyes to wait for the inevitable, but it never comes. The sound of a scream makes her open her eyes and they widen when they see Nicolas' sword bursting from Tortuga's chest.

She slams into the ground and rolls away before turning to see Tortuga staring at her. "Heh, looks like I'm done for kid. You keep on living for the both of us, got it?" He says. Elm starts stares in shock as Tortuga releases his last breath. The idea that the members of Ace Ops hadn't been friends evaporated as she realized just how stupid her previous ideas had been. She resolves to do whatever it takes to get that through to Marrow, but when the two Deviants turn to look at her, she realizes she might not get that chance.

Imagine her surprise when Tai Yang is crushed underneath the heels of Amber Arc-Polendina. Nicolas, on the other hand, is forced to parry when Violette lunges at her with her weapon and full armor returned. She looks at the Arc sister, who smiles. "Always carry spares; I learned that lesson the hard way." She says. Nicolas disengages as Tai Yang vanishes, his aura having been shattered by Amber's brutal take down. Being faced with the three warriors, Nicolas has no choice but to retreat.

Violette turns to the two of them. "My dad and Lacy Arc-Scarlatina are having a bit of trouble with a group of Grimm that got passed them. We should reinforce them." She says. Amber nods before taking off, but Elm turns to look at Tortuga's body. Violette places a hand on her shoulder. "He gave his life so you could keep living; don't let that go to waste." She says. Both of them watch in mild surprise as his body vanishes. "We're burying him with the rest of Ace Ops. He may not have been good before, but he's earned his spot now." Abarrdas says mentally. With that, the other two head to relieve Roland and Lacy as an explosion of blue flames rocks the skies above Menagerie.

Salem's POV

Salem does not appear to be doing very well at the moment. Her dress is singed and she has a cut above her left eyebrow. Her daughters have been hurling just as many accusations as they have magical attacks and it really seems to be getting to the woman. Her face is tear stained as she struggles to hold on. She sends a bolt of lightning toward Esmerlda, but her aim is poor due to her distressed state. A burst of blue flames engulfs the witch as her other daughter Ariel hits her at point blank range from behind.

"Salem, please control yourself. These are not your daughters." Ciceria says telepathically. "I know you feel guilty about what happened to your children, but these are not them. Please remember that you are fighting to save them from a fate worse than death." The Goddess of Love adds. "H-how can I possibly do that?! Every time I close my eyes I see them glaring at me; accusing me, mocking me! I've lived my entire life trying to kill myself up until recently so I could be reunited with my babies!" Salem screams in her head.

Ciceria's POV

The Goddess of Love sighs as Abarrdas places a hand on her shoulder. "I know what you're thinking Ciceria; just keep in mind that we can only interfere to this extent every now and then. We only get a few of these kinds of saves." He says. Ciceria sighs before nodding. "Salem, I'm going to block your ability to hear your daughters for now. I'm also going to calm your mind, understand?" Ciceria says telepathically.

Salem's POV

Salem glows white as she feels a sudden rush of calmness in her soul. Much to her shock, she can no longer hear her daughter's harmful words either. Ariel and Esmeralda back off as they realize they're psychological advantage is shot. Still, they were able to do enough damage to her to make this an easier fight. They still have the advantage, but they'll have to be more careful now. Salem opens her eyes and screams in rage as dozens of lightning bolts shoot out of the sky. The girls were not expecting this move, as, strangely enough, it takes a lot more energy to generate lightning from the environment than from their own bodies.

The bolts of lightning strike much faster than hand fired lightning, allowing Salem to score her first major hit of the fight as the war above Menagerie begins to turn.

Roman Torchwick's POV

Neo had managed to track down Roman, but he wasn't alone apparently. It appears that Roman had always had a plan to deal with her, and she's kicking herself for not realizing that he would. Her outfit is tattered and she has blood coming out of the corner of her mouth, but she continues fighting regardless.

She's not using her illusions, as Roman had designed these robots not to rely on sight anyway. What's worse is that they constantly emit a frequency which would shatter any of her summons the moment she brings them out. Even worse, he seems to have somehow reverse engineered the Soul Diamond in his hat so that it blocks Jaune's amplification. Her Parasol is lying on the ground, having been torn to shreds by the robots, leaving her with only her blade. The last robot charges at her and delivers a punch to the face, shattering her aura in the process. She manages to slice its head off, but it really doesn't matter. Roman has her dead to rights.

Of course, the only thing worse than being beaten by Roman Torchwick would be the way he gloats afterwards. He grins down at his ex partner in crime. "Well Neo, it's the end of an era. I'll admit, you've been a good partner, one of the best in fact, but we both knew it would end this way." He says cockily. She knew him a lot better than he thought she did, meaning that she also knew how to press his buttons.

She grins viscously before reaching into her coat and pulling out a strap on. She throws the sex toy at him, catching him off guard. He looks down to see what she threw, and he turns livid once he realizes what it is. "Oh hahahah, you think you're so funny, don't you? You really enjoyed using me like your glorified onahole huh?" Roman starts to say.

Elm Ederne's POV

Elm slams her hammer into the head of a large Goliath, sending it flying in the process. When it starts turning in the air, Elm notices something odd about it. "D-did that Goliath have an asshole?" She thinks to herself.

Neopolitan's POV

"Well I hate to bust your bubble kid, but I don't like that kind of thing. You spent years cramming things up my ass, but that's all over now! Nobody's ever shoving anything in my ass ever again!" He shouts only to be cut off as a Goliath lands on him from who knows where, shocking Neo in the process. A rush of aura tells her that whatever Roman was doing to block Jaune had stopped now. The Goliath gets up and Neo's eyes widen when she sees Roman's feet sticking out of the pachyderm's butt hole. At first, they are flailing around in a panic, but a loud crunching noise causes Neo to flinch as it clinches down on the intruder.

A few seconds later, it pushes Roman's broken body out of him, covered in Grimm crap. The only thing that was visible was his face, which was contorted in an expression of pure horror, causing Neo to burst into a silent fit of hysterical laughter as Ruby enters the alley and chops its head off.

Ruby Rose's POV

Ruby is initially confused by Neo's reaction, but when she sees the Goliath's butt and Roman's shit stained body, she realizes what happened. She bursts into laughter as well, providing a rare glimmer of amusement in an otherwise tragic situation.

Abarrdas' POV

Ciceria seems to be glaring at Abarrdas, who looks a bit nervous now. "Did you sneak that Grimm in from another universe?" She asks. Abarrdas chuckles nervously and says "We're priority one now, the damage it could do is minimal, besides, Ruby killed it already." He says. James seems absolutely flabbergasted by this. "A-are you telling me you snuck a creature of Grimm in from another universe for a prank while the entire world is engulfed in absolute chaos?" He asks incredulously.

Abarrdas turns to the General. "Morale is very important General, and theirs is likely to be very low once they realize the full scope of what is happening today." He says. General Ironwood is stumped when he sees the reason in an insane occurrence. Ciceria sighs, "He is Chaos General, and the inner workings of his mind are an enigma, even to me. Not that I necessarily want to know what kind of madness is occurring in that brain of his." She says.

"Now, now Lady Ciceria, there's nothing wrong with a little bit of madness every now and then." A new voice says in the background with a Haitian accent. The Celestials freeze when they hear this new person. They turn to confirm their worst fears as a Celestial the mortals have never encountered before suddenly appears. He is a tall slender black man with a skull painted on his face wearing a top hat, a black tail coat, dark glasses and, strangely enough, a pair of cotton plugs in his nostrils. He's carrying a cigar between two of his fingers in one hand and glass of rum in the other.

"Baron Samedi, this is a surprise. Normally you wouldn't join us unless-" Abarrdas starts to say. "Unless shits about to hit the fan? Have you looked around lately my friend? This entire world is on the brink of chaos, why wouldn't I be here?" Baron Samedi asks. "All due respect Baron Samedi, we've had worlds go much worse than this one and you never showed up then; what's so different here?" Prometheus asks.

Baron Samedi takes one last swig of his rum before willing the glass to disappear. He walks over to the monitors and runs a finger across the screen focused on Jaune. "This boy intrigues me Abarrdas. You've encountered many of his counterparts over the countless millennia you've been doing this, but I'm sure even you can tell there's something different about this one. He's being shared with over forty women Abarrdas, forty! Now I'm a very liberal man, I assure you, but is it really possible for one man to love so many?" He asks before turning to Ciceria. "You've never encountered a Jaune with this many partners, have you?" He asks again.

"That's true, the most we've ever had before was seventeen, but we're fairly certain that's because there's never been so many potential partners for Jaune sharing the same universe." She says. Baron Samedi chuckles at this. "Yes, and tell me, how did that happen? Why, it's almost as if fate itself has been drawn into this particular fight." He says. "What exactly are you getting at?" Abarrdas asks.

He sighs at this. "Have you looked at his genetic makeup lately? The recent Universal Shift has revealed a very important factor that might queue your interest." He adds. Abarrdas pulls up a copy of his genetic code and his jaw drops at what he sees. "He's part Celestial?!" Abarrdas yells, shocking the others. "Well, I know you said you were a separate species, but with Genetic engineering, it would likely be possible to achieve something like this, wouldn't it?" Pietro asks.

"D-Doctor, it's a lot more extreme than a separate species. We're not even made of the same type of matter as you mortals. These bodies are not our true forms, we are beings of energy, and we don't even technically have a genetic structure!" Prometheus says. Baron Samedi chuckles at this. "Yes, but it's the specific deity he is descended from which will interest you the most." Abarrdas looks closer and when he finally sees it, he slams his palm into his face hard.

"Gods damn it! He's one of Eros' descendants!" He says. Ciceria bursts into giggles when she hears this. "Eros?" James Ironwood asks. Prometheus sighs as he silently promises to strangle him the next time he sees him. "He's one of the few gods you actually know of here on Remnant as well as Earth. You know him as Cupid." Prometheus says. "At any rate, we've got more important issues to deal with right now. The fight is about to take a turn for the worse my friends." Baron Samedi says before vanishing in a puff of smoke.

Mia Arc-Katt's POV

Mia grunts as the constant use of her Semblance begins to take its toll. She's fine when the fights are short, but she isn't really made for long, drawn out battles like this. She leaps over Matilda, who claps her hands together, sending a large number of robots flying into the distance. Mia's eyes go wide in horror when she looks to the side and notices Nicolas Schnee barreling toward Pyrrha with his sword ready to strike her down. "PYRRHA! GET DOWN!" She screams. Pyrrha turns to see Nicolas, but she has no chance to get out of the way.

Before she can be hit, she gets pushed out of the way and the attack meant for her impales Brody through his heart instead. "D-damn… guess that's it then. Ah well, I've lived a long life." Brody says before turning to the horrified Spartan. "Tell my little June Bug I love her, got it Red?" Pyrrha starts crying as she nods. Brody closes his eyes as Nicolas grins at the Bounty Hunter. "Gammarius was right; he did jump in front of you." Nicolas says before pulling out a parasite much like the one Melody removed from Salem's chest. Everyone back at the monitoring room and the three watching look on in absolute horror as Nicolas removes his sword and thrusts the parasite into the wound.

Brody's body begins to glow dark purple as the wound closes and his body changes. Seconds later, the transformation is complete, and Brody Hatcher returns as the newest Deviant.

Juniper Arc's POV

"Ah shit! Great Grandpa Brody's been turned into a Deviant!" Matilda's voice says. Normally, her comm. wouldn't be connected to the group in Menagerie's, but Gammarius clearly found a way to rig it so she would hear that statement. Ozpin looks over to Juniper, who had just landed with him, as she starts to cry. "Daddy…" She says as the message clearly has its intended effect on the woman.

Violette Arc's POV

"Grandpa?" Violette sobs. "Its okay sweetheart, I'll take care of this, I promise. Brody didn't deserve this." Roland says. He grimaces when he sees the airships for the Sons of Mathias appear over the horizon. He turns to the others and raises his scroll. "Make your way back to the bunker. With Brody out of the picture and everyone as exhausted as they are, we need to stick together. Marcy, the Sons of Mathias are bringing their fleets in now, it's not safe for you up there anymore. Send Iram Draconis home and meet us on the ground. The Bunker is fortified enough that the air ships won't be able to bomb it, but they'll send reinforcements for sure. We're at the end of the line people. We live or die based on what happens over the next hour." He says as he turns to see another group of Grimm charging.

"Go Grandpa, I can cover you. I'm probably the best person here for this." Lacy says from behind them. "Just be safe out there." Roland says before the rest of them retreat. He stomps the ground to raise a series of pillars around the street. Having seen her fighting, he realizes her fighting style relies on a lot of rebounding. She grins at him as he leaves the area.

Lacy Arc-Scarlatina's POV

Lacy is grinning like a maniac as her eyes practically radiate with energy. For most hunters, a long, drawn out fight like this would be dangerous, but this is an environment that Lacy thrives in thanks to her semblance. War Spirit increases her speed and strength the longer she fights, only resetting after five minutes of continuous rest, and she hasn't had that much time to stop either. Her semblance and her Arc heritage also grant her incredible stamina and she's mastered the art of Soul Sustaining, a rare skill which allows a person to use aura in place of food, water and sleep. Long story short, she can fight for days if she has to.

She practically vanishes in a blur as her swords start slashing through Grimm like a hot knife through butter. Even the larger Grimm, such as a couple of Goliaths which seem to have mixed in with the Beowolves, Ursa and Beringels don't stand a chance as she blurs between the pillars, chopping the Grimm to pieces faster than most people can blink. Before she can leave a loud rumbling can be heard from the massive sandstorm outside of Kuo Kuana. This is when the real opponent enters the area; as the legendary Deathstalker Aqrabilas charges through the sand into Kuo Kuana, obliterating the buildings in his path as if they were made of Styrofoam.

Aqrabilas is known the world over due to his immense power. He has three tails as opposed to the standard one and two sets of claws, but his most distinguishing attribute is his size. The creature of Grimm can be seen throughout the village as it towers over everything. Standing at an incredible 1200 feet tall with a body stretching nearly 4400 feet in length not including the 3200 foot long tails, this creature is the main reason most of Menagerie is considered inhospitable.

His eyes start to glow as a series of lasers shoot from them, forcing Lacy to dodge like she never has before. "Ah fuck! I'm going to need some help here!" She says over her comm. link.

Sterling Kilroy's POV

Sterling bursts into a fit of laughter as he sees the creature. "What should we do Great Leader?" One of the fleet commanders asks over the comm. link. "Well it looks to me like Aqrabilas is about to do our job for us. The whole reason we sent the Faunus here was so that creature would deal with them. Still, these people have proven powerful in the past, so we can't take any chances. Atlas has taken a major hit according to my sources, so I'll need to take half the fleet to restore order. The rest of you remain on standby." Sterling says. "Understood sir; for the Sons of Mathias!" The Commander says as the fleet splits up. Meanwhile, things in Mistral are becoming dire as civilians scramble to the few flame resistant bunkers left over from the Great War.

Leonardo Lionheart's POV

A few dozen Haven students have started working with the lower Mistrali fire departments to contain the fires and rescue survivors, but entire districts have gone up in flames as the robotically controlled bullheads continue to drop payload after payload of incendiary bombs. It's gotten to the point that much of the northern side of lower Mistral is a complete loss. The flames up there have become intense enough to develop into full blown firestorms. Leonardo Lionheart is using an ice glyph from his weapon Stalwart to douse a burning house when a black door opens behind him.

James Ironwood steps out of the door with Due Process in its cannon form and proceeds to fire beams of ice around the house to isolate the flames from the rest of the neighborhood. "Leonardo! Why are you doing this? I would have thought that Gammarius would have cowed you into following him at this point." He says half in anger at his betrayal and half in confusion.

Leonardo chuckles at the General as the fire finally dies out. "Death threats mean very little to a dead man James. Stage 4 brain cancer, I've got a few months left at best." The former coward says, shocking the General. "At any rate, these fires are getting out of control. This fight is pointless unless we can get rid of these fire bombers. We tried assaulting the control center, but they were too heavily defended. We were forced out of Upper Mistral and we've been trying to get people to shelters ever since." Leonardo says as a few bullheads approach the area.

Leonardo summons a large ice spike and sends it flying toward a passing bullhead while James freezes the engines of another one. The two air craft crash into the ground where a group of firemen douse them with ice dust to neutralize the incendiary bombs on board. "We've got an infiltrator working on disabling the fire bombers and a few fighters trying to contain the blaze in the North." James says. Leonardo winces at this. "James, north Mistral's a lost cause right now. Even Upper Mistral is scrambling to keep the flames out of the city." He says.

They both stop when they see a number of large green flame serpents rising into the skies and consuming large groups of bullheads. "Uh, Headmaster? We're getting reports of waves of paint surging through the North." A student says from nearby. General Ironwood smiles at this. "They've given Schwarze all the firepower she needs to be a major problem, and Aeris is quite literally painting the town." He says amusedly.

Aeris Arc-Adel's POV

The flamboyant artist is grinning like a loon as she stands in a tower dousing the area in streams of light blue latex paint with Matisse. She uses latex based paints because they're both non-toxic and non-flammable. She would usually strip the paint off houses as she goes to add to her waves, but the Mistrali's use oil based paints, which are highly flammable. "Honestly, wooden buildings, paper walls and oil based paints? They were asking for fires at this point." She says to herself as the icy cool paints weaken the flames all around her.

She looks up and sees a few dozen fire bombers approaching, likely to try and reignite the area. "Oh no you don't!" She shouts. A series of icicle spears shoot out of the waves of paint and impale the aircraft, making them explode in mid air. The waves of paint fly into the air and form a barrier between the flames and the city. "I'm not letting you fascist pigs burn my canvas." The flower child says. A few miles away, the sky is lit up with dozens of massive serpents surging through the sky around a massive skull shooting flames into the air from its mouth. Streams of fire are shooting up from the city as the fires in lower Mistral begin to weaken.

Schwarze Kohle's POV

Schwarze is standing on top of a stone tower in her full combat gear with a look of intense concentration on her face. Under normal circumstances, there's no way she could pull off something like this, but with all of the flames surrounding her? Schwarze Kohle is showing the world what the Queen of Flames can do. Hundreds of Bullheads are exploding all over Mistral as the Serpents ravage the Mistrali air ships. Unfortunately, Mistral appears to have a near endless supply of them, and Schwarze seems to be struggling to maintain this. "C-can you guys hurry up? I can't keep this up for long!" She says with immense strain in her voice as she starts sweating.

Coco Adel's POV

"Just hold on Schwarze, Topaz is moving as fast as she can. The Mistral may not be as showy as Atlas, but they do have a military." Coco says as she continues to spray the area down with bullets. The Mistrali's have been forced to take cover as her bullets explode violently enough to shake the ground beneath them. Her Semblance may have only evolved to be stronger and more aura efficient, but that doesn't seem to bother her. She seems very happy that Gianduja is hitting with the force of a small Howitzer.

A large mech similar to the Paladin in design, but with a more Samurai like appearance tumbles through the area as Chaton throws the mech around like toys in her maximum size. The rest of Mistral's mechanized forces are being blown to pieces as Vyra Arc-Valkyrie cackles like a mad woman, slicing through droids with Bomsvärd as Bomklubba routs there forces with explosive fury. Any attempt at providing air support is being suppressed as Raven Arc-Xiao Long and Athena Arkos dash through the skies at blinding speeds.

The madness of this situation is not lost on the Fashionista. Just five women are managing to give the military of an entire Kingdom a major head ache on their own. "Aww, look at that widdle rotawy cannon! It's so adorable!" A woman says, making Coco freeze. She looks to the side and sees Blake Belladonna walking up to her. Only, much to her horror, this isn't the book lover she knows. This is the walking rainbow of insanity they met a few days ago.

The woman pulls out a small capsule and vanishes in a puff of smoke. When the smoke clears, the other Blake is holding a weapon that only a maniac would try to use. It has seven barrels measuring 8' in length, each a different color of the rainbow, and two white rings of metal to hold the barrels together much like Gianduja. It also has a white ammo box that measures 3' tall, 1' wide and 3' long. On top of the box is a handle to hold onto and at the back is a pink stock to hold on to. An ammo belt comes out of the box and feeds 30X173 mm rounds into the gun itself. It's a gun meant to be mounted on a bullhead, not carried by a Huntress. "But mine's bigger!" She says with a sing song voice.

"Come on Dr. Boomington! Let's show this bitch what a real autocannon can do!" She screams with a psychotic glint in her eye. Before she can pull the trigger, a massive wooden mallet around 6 feet wide and four feet tall slams into the woman's side, sending her flying into the air as Sundae appears. She puts the Hammer who knows where and grabs a pair of posts. She pulls back, stretching her arms much longer than should be humanly possible as she prepares to slingshot herself into the horizon. "WHEE!" She screams as she goes flying into the horizon.

Winter Schnee's POV

Things are finally starting to look up. Alexander has been forced to retreat and Blanc is on her last leg as she faces Winter and Glynda two on one. With one last slash of her sword, Winter breaks Blanc's aura. They wait for the woman to disappear like Alexander and Li did earlier, but for some reason, she doesn't. She actually starts laughing confusing the women. Summer Arc-Rose and Yaotl Arc-Calvera enter the room from a pair of doors at the side of the chamber. "Something's wrong, the Staff of Creation is still acting up. Abarrdas thinks there might be a Deviant hiding somewhere in here." Summer says.

"O-oh there is! Did you really think we wouldn't have a backup plan?" Blanc says as a small form shimmers into existence in front of them. The four women go wide eyed in terror when they see the figure, a darker skinned little girl wearing a green dress. "Ladies, meet Grace. Have fun!" Blanc says before vanishing, leaving the four women to face the magically gifted deviant. Reinforcements also arrive in Mantle, even if there's little they can do to stem the tide of Grimm.

Melinda Goodwitch's POV

Melinda raises her gauntlets and the fire, lightning and gravity dust canisters start to glow. A stream of multicolored plasma flares race into the air as thousands of Grimm charge up a major intersection in Mantle on all three sides except for the one Melinda is standing in. The flares are purple, but they are engulfed in red flames and have arcs of yellow electricity shooting out of them randomly.

The flares start flying at the Grimm and that's when something interesting happens. The flares implode with purple energy and the Grimm are pulled to the center of the blast. Then the fire and lightning dust explode violently, blasting many of the smaller Grimm to pieces in the process. The larger Grimm survive, but a few earth flares solidifying into giant cannon balls destroy them as well.

Gammarius' POV

Gammarius glares at the screen showing Melinda's fight against the Grimm. He turns to some of the other screens and notices that the awakened hunters seem to be decimating the Grimm. The only reason they're even winning is because of sheer numbers. The only Grimm that seems to be holding up is Aqrabilas, but that's to be expected of a Grimm that existed for tens of thousands of years before even Ozma and Salem were born.

"Hmm, these run of the mill Grimm just don't seem to be cutting it anymore. We need some tougher creatures to deal with them. It also wouldn't hurt to get them more organized, the old Grimm are incapable of any strategy other than throwing themselves into the fight." He says before turning to another screen. An image of Doctor Merlott in an underground facility appears. The doctor is surrounded by Grimm, but these creatures appear to have an inverted color scheme. "Ah, Lord Gammarius; how is the operation going?" The doctor asks. "It's going alright, but it could be better. These old Grimm are getting destroyed by the Awakened hunters. There's simply too many of them to deal with now. How are the improvements on Melody's Grimm going?" He asks.

Doctor Merlott beams with pride at him. "They are going amazingly! I've never had such incredible specimens to work with! Between Melody, Doctor Watts and me, we have developed a plethora of new options. They are able to function more like an army than a random mob of monsters now. We've been developing all sorts of new strategic options for them. Right now I'm working on a new form of artillery modeled after an old siege weapon known as a Trebuchet-" He starts to say before Gammarius holds up a hand to silence him.

"Artillery is great, but I'm mostly concerned about mobility and surprise. How are the modifications to the Burrowers going?" He asks. Doctor Merlott's smile falters a bit at this. "Ahh, my apologies my lord, the Burrowers were more Doctor Watt's project than my own. However, from what he has told me, they are progressing a bit more slowly. They're heavy armor is slowing them down, so we're seeking an alternative method of protection for them. It may be a few days before we can get a working concept done." He says.

"Hmm, perhaps it would be best to get rid of the armor completely, it's not like burrowers are good in a fight anyway." He says before snapping his fingers. A set of files upload themselves on his scroll. "I just sent you a couple of files on creatures from a completely different Omniverses." He adds. "Omniverse?" Dr. Merlott asks. Gammarius sighs. "Your universe is part of a division of reality known as a Multiverse. A Multiverse is made up of a single universe and its divergences. Above the Multiverse is the Omniverse, a reality which encompasses similar Multiverses. This Omniverse is known as the RWBYverse, based upon how our universe is viewed throughout other Omniverses within the Metaverse. The files I gave you are from different Omniverses that are not connected to our own through media, basically, they are stories which have either not yet been told or will never be told." Gammarius explains.

"The creature I want you to look at for the burrower is from an alien species known as the Zerg. It is called a Nydus Worm." He adds. Doctor Merlott pulls out his scroll and brings up the file for the Nydus Worm. He beams as he understands what Gammarius is looking for. "Of course Lord Gammarius, I'll send this to Doctor Watts right away." Doctor Merlott replies. "Good, keep me posted on any new developments." Gammarius says before terminating the call. He turns to the feed with Dr. Watts and Professor Port and freezes. "Why the hell are they wearing dresses?" He thinks to himself.

Peter Port's POV

Peter Port slides to a halt as he lands in a part of Menagerie that inexplicably looks like modern day down town Tokyo. Doctor Watts lands on top of a nearby building and cackles like a cliché super villain. "You've grown weak with age fool. Your moustache is gray and frail; perhaps you should switch to a beard." He says. Peter Port's moustache bristles in rage at this. Telling a Moustachon to grow a beard without a moustache is considered a grave insult.

"I am as strong as I've ever been Arthur. I just have not been fighting you at full strength! Let's see how you deal with my true form!" Peter says as he begins to glow. "Kah Wa EEE!" Peter says as he spins in place. A flash of light occurs and when Peter is revealed, he has a completely new outfit on.

He is wearing a bright red metal head band with a crystal planet with a Grey Moustache embedded in it on his head. There are small red ribbons tied around his moustache, which has become a very thick Fu Man Chu almost resembling a pair of pig tails. He is wearing a bright red metallic crop top that barely covers his man boobs leaving his massive hairy belly on display for all to see and a silver and red striped knee length skirt with thigh high red socks and high heels.

His eyes have an adorable twinkle to them and he smiles brightly as he pulls his Axe, which is now a magical staff with a red crystal embedded in it, off his back. He fires a stream of adorable fireworks and strikes a pose that would be expected of a Magical Girl. "Behold Arthur, only the manliest of men could pull off a look such as this!" Mariner Port proclaims.

One would expect Arthur to be perplexed by this, but he doesn't even blink. "Hah! You fool! Do you honestly believe I was not expecting that?! Watch in awe as I show you what a true transformation looks like!" He shouts.

A dark cloud of mist obscures Arthur as he to changes forms. When the cloud dissipates, Arthur is wearing tight, green mid thigh length dress with a black hole in the center drawing purple lines of matter into it. He also has an ornate crown similar to the Imperial State Crown of England, except the monde has a black moustache rather than an orb on it. He is also wearing purple high heel boots. "Bow before you're true King peasant!" Arthur says. "Peasant? I am the Crown Prince of Moustachon! The pride of the Petorian class! You are but a lowly Arthurian! Why would I bow to you?" Professor Port scoffs.

Arthur scowls at the man before pulling out a royal scepter topped with a glowing blue moustache. "If you will not bow before me, then you will perish Mariner Peter Port!" He yells before sending a beam of blue energy at him. Peter grabs a nearby flag pole with his moustache and pulls himself out of the path of the beam before sending a beam of red energy back at Arthur. Arthur uses his moustache to pull the building's A/C unit out of its place and throws it at the beam to shield him from the blast. The two vanish and their fight begins in earnest.

Amelia Everhart's POV

When Amelia finally tracks down her sister, she skids to a halt as she sees something she never would have expected in a million years. Melody's eyes are blood shot and she looks like she hasn't been sleeping well. Her hair and her dress are a mess and she seems to be mumbling to herself. "Think y… take… she's mine… kill that bitch." Amelia hears the woman mumble.

Amelia has no idea how to deal with this situation. She's never seen Melody so unhinged. On one hand, it could make her sloppier and easier to beat, but on the other hand, it could make her much less predictable. Amelia steels herself as she prepares to face her twin sister. "Melody." She says.

Melody turns a wild stare to the source, knowing exactly who just called her out. Her face contorts into an expression of pure rage. "RRRRRAAAAAAAGGHHHHH!" She screams as she pulls her sword and charges Amelia like a mad woman. Amelia pulls her own sword and blocks the attack. Their auras flare violently as the force of the impact levels everything in a 3 block radius. "THEY'RE MINE GODS DAMN IT! JAUNE AND ANGEL ARE MINE!" She screams as she begins to overpower Amelia. The woman pulls out her hand gun and shoots Melody in the stomach; an attack that she knows should never have worked on her.

Melody is sent flying away before landing in a cloud of smoke. Amelia tries to take a chance to breath, knowing that her sister would play more defensively after a hit like that. She was wrong though, as Melody flies out of the cloud screaming bloody murder, barely giving Amelia enough time to get her sword up to block. Melody leads both of their swords to the side and lands a kick to the side of Amelia's head that sends her flying too.

Amelia quickly realizes that Melody isn't using her usual fighting style. She's usually more of a defensive counter attacker, so this level of aggression is unusual. Amelia gets up, but she's forced to bend backwards to avoid Melody's sword. She kicks her sister in the stomach as a nasty fight begins.

Yaotl Arc-Calverra's POV

Down below Atlas, things are starting to turn against the four fighters. Yaotl has her tomahawk in one hand and a dagger in her off hand as she surges forward, hoping to take the girl by surprise while Summer and Glynda assault her from the front with Winter's support. Glynda sends of volley of stalagmites and stalactites flying toward the girl and Summer sends an arc of purple energy which hits the flying objects, greatly increasing their weight just before they hit.

Unfortunately, Grace summons a magical barrier which sends the projectiles flying back at them, forcing Glynda to dodge. Summer doesn't have time to get out of the way, so she sends a surge of earth energy into her shield and digs into the ground to block the damage. The hit still hurts her bad, but it gives Yaotl the chance to pull out her blow gun and shoot a couple poison darts at Grace. Most of them miss, but one of them manages to hit the girl, making her cry out in pain.

Yaotl's darts are made to ignore aura, but she doesn't use the same poison that Sebastian used on Jaune. This poison utilizes Ice dust to slow its victim's movements. Unfortunately, Grace flares up with red flames, burning the toxin out of her system as she turns to Yaotl and sends a bolt of lightning which hits her square in the chest.

Juniper Arc's POV

Ozpin and Juniper are losing ground as the Grimm continue to overwhelm their position. They've been reinforced by a slightly recovered Lie Ren, Qrowe Branwen and Summer Rose, but given their weakened states, it's not enough to keep the enemy at bay. Matilda lands nearby and sends a flurry of plasma flares after the enemies charging through the streets. Hera pops out of a nearby building with a rifle much like her daughters and takes a few shots at a group of approaching Nevermores.

Juniper winces at the sight of the woman. From what she understands, Hera Nikos had been forced to retire due to an injury that left her in serious danger. One bad hit is all it would take to leave the woman paralyzed from the waist down for the rest of her life. For her to come out of retirement, things must have been getting desperate. Pretty much everyone who can fight has been dispatched to Menagerie, Mistral or Mantle/Atlas now. Things in Atlas Academy are looking particularly dire as the casualties have started to seriously mount there.

Neon Katt's POV

Neon Katt is darting around Atlas Academy desperately searching for her team when she sees Velvet and her Grandfather Brutus Scarlatina engaged with a group of students loyal to the cause. Velvet has become a one woman wrecking crew as she rips through the students, rapidly shifting between weapons and fighting styles. Her semblance has evolved beyond mere mimicry. She can now learn everything about a person's fighting style with a mere glance, including the perfect counter to they're style.

She slams Magnhild into the side of one of the student's heads, sending him flying before shifting to Crescent Rose's rifle form and firing a few shots at an approaching student with a two handed mace similar to Cardin's.

Across the room, Brutus is proving to be a juggernaut as he slashes through three different students, shattering all their auras in the process. Suddenly, a loud Trumpet sounds off from the other side of the room and a spear of blue energy flies out of it, impaling Brutus through the stomach.

"GRANDPA!" Velvet screams in horror as Flynt Coal appears in front of him. Much to Neon and Velvet's horror, Flynt appears to have become a Deviant. "Fl-Flynt?" Neon sobs as her former leader pulls out another parasite similar to the one used on Brody and pushes it into his chest. A flash of light occurs and seconds later, Brutus completes his own transformation as a Deviant.

As if to illustrate just how desperate this situation has become, the odd pair of Cardin Winchester and Ilia Amitola burst in to the room behind Velvet and Neon and their eyes widen in shock. "Ilia, go get Velvet." Cardin says before rushing over to Neon and grabbing the grief stricken cat girl. "Come on Neon, we need to go!" He says. Neon looks to the other side of the hall and chokes up when she sees the dead bodies of Kobalt and Ivory. Flynt notices this and chuckles. "Gammarius didn't really see the value in those two. You're all alone now Neon." He says tauntingly as Neon begins to cry. Cardin grabs the girl and barely escapes as Brutus surges forward to end them.

Abarrdas' POV

Abarrdas clenches his fist as the others look on. Demarria is preparing the medical ward for the inevitable wave of injured fighters, leaving Abarrdas, Ciceria, Prometheus, Xareth, Rayalas, Varian, Pietro and Willow watching the madness unfold. Varian in particular seems to be incredibly restless, as she would rather be fighting with them. Sadly, the laws of reality prevent Celestials from interfering to such a degree.

"And Gammarius' true plan is revealed." Abarrdas says angrily, puzzling Willow and Pietro. "The attacks were an excuse to get our fighters out in the open. Tortuga was playing the role of a reckless fanatic, wiping out a large number of potential Deviants before they could turn."

"Wait, if Tortuga was on our side, why did he attack Ace Ops and the Happy Huntresses?" Willow asks. Abarrdas sighs at this. "Melody had poisoned the group and was waiting for them to die so she could turn them. Robyn Hill, Marrow Amin, Fiona Thyme and Elm Ederne had not passed the point of no return, so the antidote he had coated his weapon with cured them. It was too late for the others, so he killed them before the poison could finish the job. It was a mercy killing." Xareth said solemnly.

"And with so many potential candidates removed, he had to find a way to expose some of the fighters that you had a closer eye on." Pietro deduces. Abarrdas nods in confirmation. "This won't be the last of them, will it?" Willow asks. "No, the only people who are safe are the ones who are awakened." Xareth says.

Topaz Arc-Sustrai's POV

Topaz pulls out from behind a wall she was using as cover and fires her guns at a group of Mistrali guards protecting the AI core. Her sister Sharvu Arc-Altan is behind the opposite wall, having come along in case they needed to break through any unexpected firewalls. She had been expecting robots to guard the center, allowing her to activate an EMP generator she brought with her to stop them and simply walk in. But apparently Gammarius was able to find a group of Mistrali soldiers who also happened to be devout members of the Church of the Two Brothers. She's forced to take cover again as the guards shoot back. They have surprisingly heavy weapons for an indoor area, and they have Topaz pinned down. Sharvu peaks around the corner and fires a few bolts of plasma, but they seem to have plasma resistant barricades as they explode harmlessly.

Schwarze Kohle's POV

Schwarze is down on one knee, breathing heavily as she continues to fight the monstrous flames and the endless tide of fire bombers. It's clear that she won't be able to hold out much longer.

Salem's POV

Despite Ciceria's help, Salem's fight has taken a turn for the worse. Her left arm is lying limply against her body, having been paralyzed by a lightning strike from Ariel, and she is bleeding from her left thigh.

Weiss Schnee's POV

Weiss, Ruby and Pyrrha have been joined by the rest of their teams as well as Arslan Altan, Reese Chloris, Sun Wukong and Neptune Valisilas, but with so many mechs and Grimm surrounding the area, they're struggling to keep fighting. Weiss has a bit of blood trailing out of her mouth as she strains to use her glyphs to boost all of the fighters. A large Boarbatusk appears out of nowhere and drives one of its tusks into her back, breaking her aura and driving the tusk straight through her heart.

Weiss looks down as Ruby screams in horror, but just as her life starts to fade, everything stops around her. Weiss is shocked as everything suddenly starts moving in reverse as a glyph covering her chest springs to life. When time resumes, Weiss steps to the right in order to avoid the Boarbatusk, which Blake and Yang take down with ease. Weiss is left in a state of shock as she realizes she is the only one who will ever remember that, or so she thinks.

Jaune Arc's POV

Jaune feels a metaphorical knife go through his heart and he opens his eyes to see something that truly terrifies him. His Snow Angel is dying and there's nothing he can do as his aura starts to fail. But then her special Glyph activates and everything plays out differently. Only Jaune still vividly remembers how Weiss should have died as his aura finally gives out.

Time suddenly freezes around him as a new entity he has never seen enters the area. "Calm down child, you're time hasn't come yet, nor has your lovely wife's." Baron Samedi says. Another entity enters with one of the largest soul diamonds Jaune has ever seen. The entity is a bit overweight, but considerably handsome regardless. He has brown hair styled almost exactly like Jaune's and blue eyes. He's wearing a fancy tuxedo and he has a pair of white wings. "Hello J-" The other entity says before suddenly vanishing in a puff of smoke.

Baron Samedi chuckles at this. "Yeah, that was Eros, or as you know him, Cupid. He's going to be pretty well done after Ciceria gets done grilling hi-" Baron Samedi starts to say before being interrupted by a girlish squeal that reminds Jaune of himself. "Anyway, my name is Baron Samedi, I'm an Earth God, or Loa as my worshippers call me. I am the Loa of Death." He says, alarming Jaune. "No Mr. Arc, I am not here to claim your soul, I'm here to help you." He says, calming Jaune down. "In case you haven't noticed, you're all out of aura. But we both know there's a way to circumvent that, although it is risky. I'm here to help you with your other problem though." He says before tapping the 10 foot tall Soul Diamond. "This baby is known the Diamond of Ages, the largest Soul Diamond in the universe. With this baby, you'll be able to channel your aura into anyone on Remnant with a Soul Diamond. You'll be able to protect everyone, but it comes at a risk. Using it with the Well of Souls will make it even easier to fail as it would put more strain on your soul. Are you willing to sacrifice eternity for those you love?" He asks.

Jaune doesn't even blink at this. "Of course." He says before looking over to the people around them. His eyes settle on his Snow Angel. "I don't want to exist without them. It's just not worth it." He says. Baron Samedi smiles at this. "Then as some of my worshippers would say; let the good times roll." He says before vanishing. Time resumes and Jaune's eyes open. They start to glow like a star as an ornately decorated well appears above Jaune. The well towers over everyone at nearly three hundred feet tall. A glowing orb of aura appears above Jaune as he screams in pain.

Every living creature on Remnant feels a disturbance within their souls as even the mechs and the Grimm freeze before turning to the source.

Melody Everhart's POV

"NOOOO!" Melody screams, startling her sister. Amelia is shaken by the horror and despair in Melody's eyes as she watches Jaune struggle for his very existence. She starts to cry, rattling everything Amelia ever knew about her sister.

Jaune Arc's POV

The orb of light above Jaune is slowly pulled toward the Well. For the next three minutes, the orb is pulled closer and closer to its doom, but then it stops. The whole world waits with baited breath as the orb slowly starts pulling back down toward him. The giant well starts to rattle as it gets closer and closer to him. The Well overflows and starts pouring into his body the moment the orb returns to him. He screams louder before directing his Aura toward the Diamond of Ages, causing the Well to start shaking again as the overflow starts to weaken. Luckily, the shaking stops and beams of light surge out of the precious stone before slamming into everyone Jaune gave a Soul Diamond to all across Remnant.

Across the world, Jaune's allies feel a rush of power as their bodies heal, their auras are restored and they feel stronger than they ever have before; tipping the scale in the favor of the heroes.

A/N: Dang, things are starting to get really bad now. We started out with a big oof from Roman Torchwick. He thought Celestia would reinforce them, but it was someone much worse. He brought a bunch of robots to a fight with an angry Pyrrha. On the upside, he did get to avenge his cannon self's death. Before you ask, yes, the only reason that Griffons were present for this attack was so I could make this moment happen.

After that, we get a strange scenario with Fenrir vs. Khanus. The Beowolf actually takes a hit he could have avoided in order to protect a family of Faunus. This actually shocks Lisa Lavender, who was watching from nearby. After a brief explanation, Melody Everhart appears on the scene. The thing is, she's clearly not in a great state of mind. Amelia decides to track her down when Fiona comes to relieve her.

We get a brief view of the fight between Glynda/Winter and Alexander/Blanc, which leads to a rather startling revelation. Menagerie is no longer the only battleground; violence has started spreading throughout many of the Kingdoms as well.

Vale is dealing with minor riots, but Mantle and Lower Mistral/Haven Academy are in a state of open revolt while Atlas Academy has devolved into civil war. What's worse is that the situation seems rather grim in Mantle. The Atlesian Battle Cruisers show up, and everyone expects them to attack the Grimm. Instead, they attack Mantle in what is revealed to amount to a war crime. What's worse is that they intend to break down the walls of Mantle to allow the Grimm gathered by the revolt to flood the city. From there, Ozpin is forced to make a rather tough choice. He concludes that he must destroy the fleet using the nuke in his cane in order to stop the fleet.

The fight between Helga and Ghira is in full swing and they really seem to be getting into it. From there, we switch to team Blood and Guts, and they appear to be living up to their name. Apparently their strategy of psychological warfare has failed, as they underestimated the suicidal devotion of the fanatics in the Sons of Mathias. The result was an absolute blood bath that would rattle even the most hardened warriors. After they split up we return to Ozpin and Juniper.

There we learn that the Atlesian Military has devolved into chaos as well. Many of the soldiers have revolted against the council after learning of their role in the genocide on Menagerie, but the council turned the robots on them. Ozpin destroys the fleet, but then the council uses Mantle's automated defenses to destroy the walls anyway, allowing the Grimm to flood in as they pull the robots back to defend Atlas.

From there we learn that Menagerie is no longer the only place in need of evacuation. Mantle is at the mercy of the Grimm and Lower Mistral has been engulfed in flames by fire bombers. Then we move on to Violette's fight with Xanthe. This apparently isn't the first time Violette has fought naked, but Xanthe isn't used to it at all. It ends with a body slam crushing Xanthe between Vi's boobs.

This leads to Tortuga and Elm's fight and we get our first death of the chapter as Tortuga intercepts a kill shot aimed for Elm. It looks like things are about to turn on Elm after that, but Amber Arc-Polendina shows up out of nowhere and stomps Tai Yang, leaving Nicolas on his own. Now outnumbered, the SDC founder is forced to retreat.

This leads to Salem's fight, and she does not appear to be doing well. The girl's have done a good job keeping her off her game, but Ciceria manages to intervene. Then we catch up with Neo, who has tracked down Roman. Unfortunately for her, Roman was prepared for that. He had robots specifically made to counteract Neo's semblance, and they managed to back her into a corner. Then it happened. Remember how Roman was so happy to avoid being eaten by a Griffon? Yeah, this was a much worse way to go out if you have a fear of vore. Was it wrong? Yes, but that doesn't make it any less funny, and we needed a bit of comedy in a chapter this heavy.

From there we get a new character as Baron Samedi, Hatian Vodou's Loa of Death, appears. Apparently his appearance is a fairly big deal as well. He reveals that this version of Jaune is different from the others the Celestials have dealt with in the past. The Celestials are shocked when they learn that Jaune is apparently a descendant of Eros, a Greek God of Love. This is supposed to be impossible, as the Celestials are so fundamentally different that interbreeding isn't supposed to be an option.

Then things start to get really bad. Brody Hatcher intercepts a blow from Nicolas Schnee meant for Pyrrha and unfortunately dies. Then things take a horrifying turn as we see our first transformation, as Nicolas manages to turn the bounty hunter into a deviant. When Juniper hears this, she is understandably upset, as is Violette. Roland vows to deal with it as they all prepare to make a final stand at the Bunker.

Then we get Lacy's combat debut, and she really appears to be in her element here. Then things get really bad when Aqrabilas, a truly massive Kaiju level Deathstalker and the reason that most of Menagerie is considered uninhabitable, arrives. We get a brief glimpse at Sterling Kilroy again, who decides to let the Grimm do the work for him, pulling half of his fleet back to Atlas while the rest goes on standby.

From there we get Leonardo Lionheart's debut. We learn the real reason behind his sudden burst of courage; he's a dead man no matter what he does. Stage four Brain Cancer sucks. Things look really bad for Mistral, but reinforcements arrive in the form of Aeris Arc-Adel and Schwarze Kohle in the north and a diversionary team to deal with the Mistrali military while an infiltrator tries to disable the fire bombers.

Coco, Raven Arc-Xiao Long, Athena, Chaton and Vyra are revealed to be the diversionary team and Topaz Arc-Sustrai and Sharvu Arc-Altan are revealed to be the infiltrator team. Things get scary for Coco Adel as she comes face to face with the unhinged psycho that is Blake Belladonna's Doppleganger, but Sundae Arc comes in for the rescue. That fight is sure to be entertaining.

We move on to see that Winter and Glynda have gotten the upper hand. They defeat Blanc and Alexander, but the Staff of Creation still won't work. That's when Grace, another one of Salem's daughters, enters the fight. Even with Yaotl Arc-Calvera and Summer Arc-Rose, this fight is going to be a difficult one. Melinda shows up in Mantle to fight the Grimm as we learn that pretty much everyone has been deployed at this point.

From there, we get Gammarius, and we learn why the inverted Grimm have been missing. Apparently, they have been working on some improvements. Gammarius gives Doctor Merlott a few ideas from outside of the RWBYverse after explaining a bit more of how reality works. Most notably, he shows Doctor Merlott the Nydus Worm from the Starcraft games. That, combined with the artillery Grimm Doctor Merlott mentioned earlier paints the picture of a much more dangerous and organized force of Grimm.

Then… uhh… something happens with Professor Port and Doctor Watts. Remember how I said I would be making their fights parodies? Well here's the first one, and it's aimed at the magical girl type of anime, with Sailor Moon being a primary influence. Because who doesn't want to imagine Peter Port as a Magical Girl? We also got a little bit of lore about the Moustachons. I'll expand on that in the Omakes though. There's a possibility that I may give Port and Watts their own spin off, but for now, you can definitely look forward to more fights and omakes. Please keep in mind that this rivalry is going to be completely ridiculous.

Unfortunately, things go back to chaos as we catch up with Amelia, who has tracked down her sister Melody. Melody is clearly not taking the loss of Angel very well, as she has started to go crazy.

We get back to the fight with Grace, and things are looking bleak. Yaotl makes a brief combat debut as everything begins to fall apart. We switch over to Juniper and Ozpin, where things are getting really bad. We learn that even the reserves are being called in as Hera Nikos joins the fight. We also learn why she retired from active duty as a Huntress in the first place. If she's being pulled out, you know things are desperate.

After that, Neon Katt appears in the fight for Atlas Academy. She runs into Velvet and Brutus Scarlatina, but tragedy strikes as Brutus is killed by the newest deviant, Flynt Coal. Neon is understandably distraught by this, and Velvet isn't doing much better when the man turns Brutus into a deviant as well. It takes the oddball combo of Cardin Winchester and Ilia Amitola to pull them away after it is revealed that the rest of Neon's team is dead as well.

Then we learn the real motivation behind this madness. Apparently, Tortuga had been killing potential Deviants before they could be turned, leaving Gammarius with few options. This forced him to pursue targets that are being more closely monitored by Abarrdas.

From there, we learn that Schwarze Kohle, Salem, Topaz and Sharvu are all in dire straits as Jaune's aura starts to dwindle. Then we cut to Weiss and something horrifying happens. A Boarbatusk comes out of nowhere and lands a killing blow on the heiress. As she starts to slip away, her special glyph kicks in. Time rewinds itself and Weiss is able to avoid the fatal attack, with only her and Jaune even remembering that it happened.

That's when it all comes crashing down as Jaune runs out of aura. But then Baron Samedi appears with Eros bringing Jaune a way to save the day. Eros is immediately kidnapped by Ciceria as Baron Samedi explains that he can still save the day with the Soul Well. It's a risk, but Jaune doesn't even hesitate to take it.

Time resumes and the Well appears, causing even the Grimm and the Mechs around the world to pause as they all wait with baited breath. We see Melody completely lose it, shocking Amelia to the point where she is forced to reconsider everything she thought she knew about her twin. Then we watch as Jaune beats the odds and the tide starts to turn yet again. Well that was fun, now on to the Omakes!

Special Note: Earlier, I mentioned that telling a Moustachon to grow a beard without a moustache is considered a grave insult. I also mentioned that the Moustachons have a caste system. These omakes is meant to provide an explanation for that, as well explaining some basic Moustachon biology and culture. Keep in mind, there is nothing serious about the Moustachons. This means that I will often ignore the established lore in favor of comedy. The Moustachons are a shit post through and through.

Omake 1: Moustachon Reproduction

There is no such thing as a female Moustachon, as they are an all male race. Moustachons used to reproduce asexually through a process known as Moustache Spawning. Moustachons cut off a small piece of their moustaches and place it near a special fungus known as a Moustashroom. From there, the Moustashroom absorbs the energy of the moustache clippings and starts to grow into a Moustachon over the next five weeks. Moustachon's are fungi, because it is much manlier to be a fungus than a plant. As they grow older, Moustachons start to grow beards as they grow weaker and less fertile. Eventually there moustaches fall off permanently, leaving them frail and useless, as a Moustachon's power comes from his moustache. So basically, telling a Moustachon to grow a beard is the equivalent of calling them old and impotent. Sadly, Moustashrooms went extinct with the destruction of their home world, so Arthur and Peter are the last of their kind. They have been locked in battle for thousands of years, as Moustachons have extremely long life spans.

Omake 2: Moustachon Castes

There are only three classes of Moustachon in existence, all of whom are identical to each other. The lower class of Moustachons is known as the Arthurians. All Arthurians look exactly like Arthur Watts. The middle class has been largely forgotten to the ages. Meanwhile, the upper class consists of the Petorians. Of the Petorians, Peter Port is actually the Crown Prince of Moustachon. Just like Arthurians, all Petorians look exactly like Peter Port.

Special Note 2: I have another omake as well. Omake 3 picks up on Coco and Velvet's attempts to fix up Yatsuhashi Daichi and Blanc Arc-Schnee. In case you forgot (like I almost did) Blanc Arc-Schnee was revealed to have a crush on the tallest member of team CFVY in chapter 12. The events take place before the attack on Menagerie. This will culminate in the very first lemon involving one of Jaune's children. It also features a bit of mother/daughter bonding time. Also, I apologize if my knowledge of hippy language isn't good. The Omake for what happened to Jennavive will be in the next chapter.

Velvet and Lacy are lounging around in team CFVY's apartment living room. Velvet is lying on a couch with her eyes closed as Lacy watches in amusement from a nearby armchair while Coco struggles to wrap her head around her own daughter, Aeris. "I just don't get how you can think that outfit works! The shape and form works, but the colors are horrifically tacky!" Coco says as she watches her daughter, who is currently painting Velvet on the couch.

"Chill out mama, you're being such a downer. I like my threads the way they are. Sometimes you just gotta go with the flow." Aeris Arc-Adel says. Coco freezes as her face contorts into an expression of slight exasperation and horror. "Oh my gods… ARE YOU A HIPPIE?!" She screams. This makes Aeris pause as she turns a look of slight irritation toward her mother.

"I prefer the term flower child, thank you very much; and can you please knock it off with all the negative energy? I can't work with all these bad vibes in the air." She says. Coco turns to look at Aeris' painting and her face turns beet red. "What the hell are you painting?! Velvet's going to throw a fit when she sees that!" Coco says, causing said Rabbit Faunus to open her eyes.

The couch she is lying on is in the middle of a field of flowers, and she is no longer alone, nor is she wearing any clothing. The setting is different, but what Aeris is painting is something her and I walked in on when we were eleven. All of Aeris' paintings are about sex." Lacy says before sending a file of images to the two women.

3 hours after the plot is born

Yatsuhashi Daichi's POV

Team CFVY is walking through the Castle of Madness' Library when they notice Blanc on a ladder trying to get a book from the top shelf. Coco and Velvet make eye contact and the Fashionista turns down the aisle, bringing the rest of her team with them. Velvet subtly kicks the ladder, causing it to fall, bringing Blanc down with it. The young woman yelps, drawing Yatsu's attention. He manages to catch her, leaving the two of them to make eye contact in the process.

The two start to blush as Blanc's tail twitches nervously behind her. After a few seconds, Yatsu is reminded that his team mates are with him by Coco's chuckling. He carefully puts the small woman down and she mutters a thank you before rushing out of the area. Yatsu speed walks ahead of the group and Coco and Velvet high five, getting a strange look from Fox in the process.

Incident # 2

The next day

Coco Adel's POV

Coco and her daughter Aeris are currently stalking Yatsuhashi and Blanc in the gym as Yatsu heads for the locker rooms. Aeris and Coco casually walk by, stealthily switching the genders of each locker room after confirming that Blanc is in the women's locker room.
