A/N: I can confirm I do not in fact own MHA. If I did Izuku would do more things with lightning/electric powers.

Years ago:

The four year old Neimo didn't say anything as rain continued to fall, hitting her black clothing as well as everyone else's there in that cemetery. Despite being four she understood completely why they were there, what it meant for the person who was absent and had their name on a slab of stone that the people had gathered around.

Yurika Monoma

Her mother, was dead.

Neimo didn't even know how it happened, all she had heard was that a villain had done it with a single touch, killing their heroine in such a way that no one could tell it was actually Yurika.

Except Hirari.

Neimo's older sister was there when it had happened, had seen a man she couldn't see the face of, just touch Yurika's arm as the heroine tried to apprehend him, and then she was gone. Leaving her four, five and six year olds alone without a parent, their father having passed away two years prior of cancer.

Neimo looked up at her oldest sister, who had an almost vacant look next to her. The small blonde didn't know what to say to her older sister, but a crushing feeling in her needed to also hear something from Hirari too. She opened her mouth to speak but only a squeaking sound came out, right as she also tried to grab her sisters arm.

Hirari snapped back to reality as her sister touched her arm. She looked at the small blonde, who looked like a smaller version of their mother, and remembered that last moment of their mother's life. The look of pain and fear that was there for all of a second as Yurika was torn apart.

With a single touch.

Hirari jolted her arm away from her little sister, afraid that just like Yurika it would just be a single touch that would shatter the child, a look of fear crossing her face as one of confusion crossed Neimo's.

"Don't touch me. You're too weak." Hirari said the wrong words she didn't mean to say, but never corrected.

Present Day

Neimo was admittedly really nervous as she followed Kai to the building for her trial. This would be her first actual event at U.A. and she was worried she would end up holding back whoever her teammate was.

"You are on defense for the trial." Kai informed his student as they walked. "Remember to think carefully on every outcome before you make a plan, but don't hesitate because that is also not a good idea."

"Okay." Neimo nodded as they entered the building and the copy user saw her teammate, Ibara Shiozaki of 1-D. The vine haired girl had plain white robes as her hero suit along with black, knee high boots.

"Good luck you two." Ryūko gave a smile as she and Kai left their students.

"Hello Monoma." Ibara nodded slightly, remembering Neimo's name from when 1-C and 1-D got to know each other better. "I believe with the Lord's favor we will meet the challenge of this trial."

Neimo was glad that at least one of them was confident. "Right."

"It would be wise to take the... bomb, and plan as we find a place to set our defenses." Ibara's hair made of vines grabbed the paper-maché bomb and lifted it easily to take elsewhere.

Neimo didn't want to not contribute so she offered a place. "The fourth floor?"

"I don't think that it would be looked at as fast, which makes it a wise choice." The girl from 1-D nodded. "As for quirks it would be beneficial if we know each other's and how they worked."

"I can copy quirks by touching people." Neimo replied as they were going up to the fourth floor. "I get all of your knowledge on how to use it when I do."

Ibara, surprisingly to Neimo, held out an arm so Neimo can tap it. "So we both will be working with Vine then."

The blonde accepted the offer and tapped Ibara's arm with a finger, copying her quirk and gaining all of Ibara's instinctual knowledge on it. Her hair turned thicker and vine like, popping itself out of her braid making her have to pick up her hair tie and bow off of the ground. "I only have this for ten minutes."

"That is the approximate time of a trial but you will only have it for perhaps the first half unless you touch me again right as the match starts."

Neimo got an idea she couldn't really be against, even if she previously didn't like doing that kind of thing. "I can copy their quirks too, it gives me an edge."

"For that to work you would need to surprise them to get close, unless my vines extend your reach. I doubt anyone would let others close to them here, not knowing what any of us are capable of."

Neimo made one of the new vines, still a pale golden yellow like her natural hair, that made up her hair go at Ibara and tap her, not feeling anything click in her that meant she had recopied the quirk. "Your vines don't allow me to copy quirks." She had initially thought she could copy quirks with the hair since it was still her hair, but apparently not. Then again, she didn't remember a time where she had copied anyone's quirk by them touching her hair before.

"While that is limiting to the other option it still offers advantages of its own." The naturally vine haired girl responded. "I believe that it is best that with what we have that we stay on the... bomb," Ibara had a slight frown at the word bomb, not exactly thrilled about her job being to protect a bomb, even if a fake one made from paper-maché. "- And defend it with our vines."

Neimo nodded but then quickly mentally disagreed. "That might put us at a disadvantage if they have fire or an area of effect quirk." Neimo was mostly thinking of someone like Shoto, who had fire, or someone like Izuku, who with a single touch could arguably use the whole building to his advantage. "I-, I could stay closer to the door to try to catch them off guard."

"Wouldn't I be best in that situation?" Ibara asked. "My vines more-so would work." She wasn't doubting that Neimo had effectively copied her quirk, but aren't originals typically better than copies?

Neimo held up her hands. "If I touch them I know their tricks."

The naturally vine haired girl mulled it over for a second. "It would put them against something that would confuse them. I do not see any argument if you think you are capable."

Neimo didn't respond but stopped going up the stairs to stay back.

Years ago

Neimo looked in the mirror, at the reflection that reminded her of her mother, the last year making her miss her mother much more as people had begun to pick on her for her quirk stealing power. She didn't want to steal their quirks, she didn't even actually take them away, she just copied them!

Suddenly Neimo was pushed to the side, out of the sight of the mirror and onto her rear, by her sister Karina, who had seemingly grown a permanent scowl over the last year, especially around Neimo, who she blamed for their mother's death.

"Stop looking at the mirror, thief." Karina ordered. "You'll crack it." She then shook her head. "No, that's an insult to mom, the mirror would only crack because of how useless you are."

Neimo didn't respond or even look at her sister, not wanting to make the middle child of the sisters more hostile. Thankfully her sister just walked away, continuing with her day, apparently fine with just insulting her sister for a moment.

Neimo got back up and looked back in the mirror for a second, thinking of how useless she was in comparison to her mother.

Present Day

Neimo stopped walking down as she got to the second floor, thinking to stay there to make a place to ambush the opposing team. As common a thought process it was to just put the bomb on the top floor as the defenders and also commonly thought of to just search that team as the attacking team it was unwise to his assume that is what everyone would do. They'd have to search the floors as they went and not just rush through. With that she would use the vines from Ibara and try to quickly grab at least one of the two attackers to copy a quirk if not just restrain the two.

Katsuki Bakugo was standing still, mostly save for some anxious tapping, and just looking at the entrance to the building. He wasn't anxious in a nervous way, no way. He was anxious in an excited way. He wanted to get in that building and pound the Chisaki dumbass into the ground, or whatever extra from 1-C was there.

He knew for sure that the extra from 1-C was in the building, an extra from 1-B having been placed on his team. He wasn't even concerned with her since she seemed pretty damned useless.

"Ummmm... " There went his extra of a teammate, trying to make herself relevant. "What is the pla-" Katsuki cut her off.

"The plan is for you to just stay out of my way." The explosive blond stated with a rude tone.

"That's not-"

"Just stay out of my way you extra." The teen from 1-A repeated.

Tooru stopped right there, not thinking she could actually get him to plan anymore. She let out a disappointed sigh as she fixed the gloves on her hero suit, a jumpsuit with gloves and boots that had been made so that they stayed invisible just like her when she wore them. She was hoping to pull off some awesome tag team stuff from some comics but even just winning seemed kind of like a challenge now, the invisible teen feeling her chances of winning dropping drastically.

Kai had a frown as he and the other teacher's of the hero course were watching the teams both prep for the trial.

"That boy sure does have a lot of arrogance." Sekijiro stated with a disproving look. He had honestly hoped none of his students would be partnered with Bakugo, especially one of the ones with less confidence. Luck wasn't on Hagakure's side however.

Kai looked back at the screen showing his student, seeing her stop on the second floor and pause in a position like she was thinking.

"The match starts in less than a minute." All Might stated, not impressed by Bakugo's attitude at all, definitely already knocking his score down a bit for the lack of teamwork on his end.

Neimo felt way more nervous then she was a moment ago, feeling more and more unsure with each second counting down to the beginning of the match. Could she pull this off? Could she actually win the match with Ibara? Was she just overthinking and worrying too much?

"The trial begins now!" All Might announced over the speakers. An explosion went off below Neimo only a second after that, coming from where the street was. Was someone just blasting their way into the building? Wasn't that reckless? With that though Neimo realized who exactly was on the other team. That aggressive guy from 1-A who tried to pick a fight with Izuku the day before. That thought didn't exactly make her feel better as now she was worried about how he has shown to be extremely aggressive, and his quirk sounding like it involved explosions wasn't a pleasant thought either to be honest.

However Neimo shook those thoughts and focused on the match. She couldn't let Ibara down, she just had to remember what Chisaki-sensei told her right before the match;

"Remember to think carefully on every outcome before you make a plan, but don't hesitate because that is also not a good idea."

All she had to was think calmly and plan, if she used a sure fire plan then everything will be okay, she just can't let herself get in her own head and hesitate. Going off of what was the assumption of it being the aggressive guy who hated Izuku, she could take the guess that he was arrogant, as he did try to talk down to Izuku who had an insanely high score in the entrance exams, and he got aggressive (which Neimo was noticing was a key word in describing this guy) when the others did anyone against him. That made her think he was arrogant and overconfident in his own abilities, something implied more by his just making an explosion the second the match started. His quirk was definitely strong too and was his skill with it, if she had to guess from Todoroki's commenting on his fighting/beating the guy in what could be the recommendation exams, which put him high on a list of power/skill, but lower than Izuku and Todoroki. That wasn't exactly a good standard when she considered Izuku definitely number one and Izuku himself viewed Todoroki as a rival, even if friendly. It left the bar too high still. Her best bet would be to use his arrogance against him in some way.

Of course all this thinking was hinging on her assumption of her opponent being this guy. A safer bet would to just wait and see whoever it was, finding out as she grabbed them with Ibara's Vine. Making sure she used Vine to actively grab one of the opponents to copy their quirk would be integral to capturing them, as she would gain their knowledge and skill, and be able to use it against them. She'd just have to wait until the other team attack

She'd just have to wait until the other team attacks, and definitely in a spot that wouldn't make her outright be seen.

Neimo got behind a small corner next to the staircase, one closer to the main entrance and her corner being away from the majority of the floor and rooms so it was unlikely she'd be spotted immediately.

Not even ten seconds later a teen blasted up the stairs, the explosions coming from his palms. It was definitely the aggressive guy, which means Neimo already had a semi-idea on how to deal with him, but his exploding palms did make her question how well Vine would go against a heat source like that.

Shaking off her thoughts that were making her hesitate she watched the guy blast in and out of a few rooms before she realized he was using his explosions to speed up his search, so she'd have to actively fight him here no doubt to buy Ibara time no matter what.

Instead of some dumb idea like yelling to get his attention Neimo shot her hair at him as he came out of a room, narrowly catching him off guard but only getting a small scratch on his nose, the explosive blond jumping back to avoid more damage

"Found you extra." The blond said with a tone of excitement. "I was hoping for the Chisaki ass but that didn't seem as likely."

So he definitely had a hateful attitude for Izuku, Neimo noted. She didn't like being called extra either.

"Since he isn't here I guess I have to beat you as a warm up." An explosion popped off as he cracked his knuckles.

Neimo fought back a gulp as the guy used explosions to blast himself at her, not expecting to have him already have his sights set on her, just for being in the same class as Izuku. Acting fast she made a shield of her hair block the guy from getting too close and had to figure out a new plan, because getting his quirk now seemed almost like a poor idea when she wouldn't get the time to make a plan with it.

Instead of trying to think she had to instead make more of her vine-like block the guy who tried to propel himself around the previous blockade. She couldn't think too long and had to act fast because he wasn't someone who would give her time to think.

The guy stopped trying move around her hair. "If I can't go around I'll just burn through it!" He pressed his palms into the makeshift wall of hair and prepared two massive blasts.

Neimo gained an idea that was stupid, but not to her in the moment where she couldn't spend more than a second to think on it and realize how stupid it was. Neimo retracted the hair out of the guy's way. making him fall forward slightly as she reached forward, trying to grab his actual skin before the blasts went off, slapping him across his shoulder right as he blasted her back, the girl getting sent into the wall behind her.

"What dumbass idea was that supposed to be?!" Katsuki shouted with anger. "You're so weak I barely felt that!" He wanted something of an actual worthwhile warm up for his beat down of Chisaki so this girl being pathetic was pissing him off.

Neimo's hair turned to normal, spread around her head in a messy manner, with just a little blood on the back of her head from hitting the wall, as she looked up at the guy, quickly assessing his quirk. It definitely had a lot of skill to it, showing the guy at least had a little effort behind his massive ego. However she noticed that he had a part to the quirk she did not; his body was more suited to handling the recoil of the explosions, hers was not. A drawn out battle with the quirk, even if she could continuously copy it, would not go in her favor unless she employed a good plan.

Neimo made her plan in the few seconds that he wasn't attacking her and got up to run at him, knowing that she had the moment to catch him off guard only once, and couldn't waste the opportunity.

Katsuki gained an annoyed sneer as Neimo ran at him. "You can't physically hurt me ex-"

Neimo shut him up with an explosion right to his face, the guy being knocked back as she quickly capitalized on the moment and followed up with another explosion that had more kick to it, actually sending the guy to the ground and throwing Neimo's arm back from the recoil.

Kai covered his mouth to muffle the chuckle he got from seeing that moment, planning to give Neimo extra credit for knocking an arrogant ass down a peg.

Katsuki dodged the third explosion and blasted himself back to gain distance to figure this situation out, Neimo holding her left arm and rolling the shoulder to relax the arm a bit.

"How the fuck do you have Explosion?!" Katsuki narrowed his eyes at the girl who copied him. "I thought you had hair bullshit."

Neimo opted to not answer to keep the mystery to herself.

"Doesn't matter when I know all the tricks and you are a cheap imitation." The explosive blond shot back at his opponent to show his superiority.

Neimo braced herself and her right arm to fire off a big explosion right at Katsuki, which the original explosively powered blond shot to the side to dodge as he rushed Neimo, ramming a fist into her side and releasing a blast as she raised her own arm and barely got an explosion of her own off before being sent back by the force of Katsuki's attack, the kid from 1-A getting knocked only out of stance by the explosion he received from the quirk copier.

Katsuki rubbed his shoulder that received the attack. "You threw me off for a second... But using my own power against me won't work when you're just a cheap imitation."

A year ago:

"Give it back!" Neimo yelled as she tried to grab the papers from her sister Karina

"A form for U.A.?" Karina snorted as she read the paper, a mirror of her creation popping up to block Neimo. "Why are you trying to get into U.A.? You have nothing special."

"I still have to try!" Neimo argued as she moved around the mirror, only for another one to block her path.

"Just because you look like mom doesn't mean you are anything like her!" Karina snapped. "You're just a cheap imitation!"

Present Day:

Neimo got back up, facing Katsuki.

"I wouldn't want to imitate you at all!" The girl shot at him. "You're just an arrogant jerk!"

Katsuki scowled as he jumped at her, using explosions to speed him up. He spun into a right hook ready to hit her hard enough to shut her up.

Neimo raised her palms to blast herself to the side, making the kid from 1-A hit the wall in her place. Quickly blasting herself back at him she hit the explosive blond with his own quirk directly to his shoulder with a high powered blast, throwing both her arm and Katsuki backwards. Neimo's left hand hit the wall hard from the recoil and she felt a finger, her index, go numb like she might have broken it.

The naturally explosive teen made a groan as he held his side, standing up from where he was knocked into a pillar. "I hate it when people try to act of their place." He faced Neimo and didn't move towards her yet. "When you are someone at the top it is a nuisance when someone who is a bottom feeder tries to pretend like they compare." He raised an arm towards Neimo. "You might not be as much of a bottom feeder since you got to feel actual power for a moment by copying my quirk, but I have something you don't." He put a hand on the pin of the giant grenade like piece of gear he had on his forearms. "This stores the explosive sweat my quirk produces, and while I might have wanted to wait to use this on that Chisaki asshole... You are also a fucker that needs to learn their place."

Neimo gained a wide eyed expression in that split second as she realized the buildup of sweat that guy had would make a way bigger explosion than either of them could probably make naturally.

All Might gave a panicked expression as he realized how big the explosion from that gear would be, and how bad for Neimo it would be. Grabbing the mic he spoke quickly.

"Bakugo don't pull that pin!"

"Die!" Katsuki shouted as he pulled the pin, already halfway through the motion as All Might told him not to.

The ensuing explosion was massive, the sound shutting out all other noises as the force shook the building, a hole being blasted through the side of the building.

Neimo was thrown out of the building and was falling, blood from new scrapes and cuts coming out. As she was falling she remembered something that stood out for some reason:

A year ago:

"Just because you look like mom doesn't mean you are anything like her!" Karina snapped. "You're just a cheap imitation!"

Before anything else could happen the U.A. forms were taken from Karina, Hirari having taken them.

Hirari didn't say anything at firsts and just looked at the papers then her youngest sister. "Do you actually think you can get into U.A.?" She didn't have a judgmental time at all, something that was confusing to both of her sisters.

"I... I have to try." The youngest sister repeated herself, gaining a downcast mood as she was sure her oldest sister would do the same thing as Karina.

Hirari looked back at Neimo, a flash of her mother's final moment came back to her and she felt the need to say no, to not let Neimo go down that same path.

"Mom thought I could be a hero." Neimo said quietly.

"Stop acting like you are any sort of reflection of mom!" Karina glared at Neimo. "You're just a cracked mirror!"

The oldest sister silently took in those words and remembered how their mother died, protecting people and not letting her will break, but in the end cracking instantly upon a single touch from the villain who was never found. She didn't know if the fragile Neimo could handle any sort of challenge of will like that.

But Hirari still found herself handing the form to Neimo, which confused the girl as Hirari spoke again without thinking.

"Don't become a cracked mirror."

As the smoke began to clear Katsuki made a grin, proud of himself for putting someone in their place. He then noticed that Neimo was nowhere to be seen.

Suddenly vine-like hair shot to the edges of the edges of the hole in the building and Neimo was back in the room like a bullet, slingshotting herself with force right at Katsuki as she changed her used quirk back to Explosion.

Forcing as much of her sweat into the most powerful explosion she could make, an explosion she knew she would physically not be able to handle, she used her momentum from flying through the air and into a left hook.

"THIS MIRROR WON'T CRACK!" The quirk copier shouted as she slammed her fist into Katsuki's cheek, the powerful explosion rocking both blonds and sending them both in opposite directions.

Neimo felt pain shock her entire left arm into numbness as she first landed on the arm before being thrown back into a pillar where she rolled hard to a stop after her elbow and cheek both hit the stone.

Katsuki, having standing close to a wall when the strike hit him, had hit it head first with the back of his head and promptly slumped to the ground like a rock.

The girl from 1-C was the first to move, a sound of pain escaping her as she tried to stand, making the poor choice of trying to get up by using her left arm, which had several bruises and her had was covered in blood.

A second later a sound of rushed wind was heard followed by the voice of All Might. "Are you kids okay?" Neimo felt a hand group her shoulder and saw her teacher trying to help her up.

"I-... hand." Monoma answered in a dazed voice, hitting her head a moment ago didn't help her with answering.

"How is Bakugo?" All Might left her to quickly check the other kid. "Hmm... Bakugo is unconscious." The man pressed on his headset. "The defensive team wins due to the capture and knock out of the offensive team."

"Wha-?" Neimo gained a wide eyed expression as she finally stood up, ignoring checking her physical situation to try to process what she heard. "I won?!"

All Might nodded. "During your scuffle with Bakugo, Shiozaki managed to capture Hagakure who went for the bomb."

Neimo still had a look of pure shock. She actually won?! "I won?" She repeated again just to make sure it wasn't a trick.

The Pro Hero didn't question his student's shock, assuming it was due to adrenaline. "You indeed won Young Monoma. It was quite a hard fought victory and you earned it." He was honestly proud to say he would be a teacher to a student who had grit like her.

Neimo's shocked expression broke into a large smile. She actually won! The girl jumped up. "I won!"

All Might gained a happy expression at seeing her repeatedly jump up as she kept saying she won. He didn't want to change the mood but also had to make sure she got her injuries, especially her wounded arm, checked on. "Monoma I think you should go to the clinic and see Recovery Girl."

"Eh?" Neimo remembered suddenly that she was hurt, and that fact made her body remember that she should be feeling pain and she felt the massive amount of it coming from her left arm, back of her head, her right cheek, her side, and right elbow. Looking at her left palm she immediately wished she didn't as she didn't even have a palm left, the explosion having torn it all up to shreds. Her fingers had also either been popped out of place or broken. Seeing her destroyed left hand made the girl who still had lots of adrenaline and blood pumping reacting loudly. "AH! My hand!"

All Might picked up Bakugo's limp body to sling over his shoulder, planning on giving the kid a talking to the second he woke up. "Monoma, you get that handled and I will tell you the trial results upon your return."

A moment later All Might was in front of the only two conscious participants of the match, Bakugo still on his shoulder and Neimo making her way to the clinic.

"Shiozaki and Hagakure. I commend both of your efforts in this match. You both out in good effort and planned with what you had. Hagakure, your lack of team work is not your fault, I and the other teachers took note of that so it will not bring your score down as your teammate did not try to work together at all." At that point a heavy sigh of relief was heard from the invisible girl. "You thought rationally and made your way to the bomb, trying to use your stealth based quirk to your advantage. Shiozaki you were clever to place vines everywhere as it alerted you to Hagakure's position. While she isn't here I am awarding Monoma MVP as her determination, cleverness and pure will led her to overpower Bakugo and win on her end."

"From what I heard with those dreadful explosions I believe she earned it." Ibara said calmly.

"He was mean so any girl who beat that gets my vote." Tooru showed her respect for Neimo facing Katsuki.

"Now I will let you girls return to your classes. You kids did good."

Neimo opened the door to the clinic with her right hand, holding the bloody left hand, wrapped just enough by All Might to stop her from bleeding everywhere, to her chest. When she opened the door she only saw one person in the clinic and it made her happy mood drop a little on reflex.

"Hirari?" The younger Monoma said.

The oldest Monoma looked up from where she was putting a cream on her left arm to see her sister, gained a confused expression. "Neimo?" That expression turned to shock and worry when she saw the state her sister was in. "What happened?!"

"I..." The younger sister was afraid of a scolding about becoming a cracked mirror or how she was weak, making it hard to answer. "I had hero training."

Hirari gained a sour expression as she continued to apply the cream, Neimo now being able to see that Hirari's left arm was suffering from overuse of her quirk, cracks like glass on it where she had been putting the cream to most likely help the situation. "Training shouldn't end in having an injury..."

The younger sister felt like that statement was a tad hypocritical. How else would Hirari be injured other than training?

"Recovery Girl had to go to an emergency out of U.A. so she isn't available for at least an hour."

Neimo looked at her arm and didn't think waiting would be good for her hand, especially when the bandage All Might had given her was already soaked completely with her blood and definitely needed changed. "I don't think I can wait that long."

At that the older sister stopped what she was doing and looked at Neimo. "Do you know how to disinfect it yourself?"

All the wounded first year did was look down. "No."

Hirari got up, ignoring how she wasn't down with her own arm, and pointed at a chair. "Sit down." Neimo didn't question her sister at all and sat down while Hirari washed the cream off of her hands. Hirari opened a cabinet after drying her hands and pulled out a few things. "Whoever did this didn't do it well." She remarked while unwrapping Neimo's bandage.

"What are you doing?" Neimo asked.

The glass quirk user gave her sister a dumb look. "Obviously cleaning your hand."

Neimo looked at her sister's cracked arm. "You're bleeding..." She didn't want Hirari to mess up her arm due to ignoring it to help Neimo with her own injuries.

Hirari gave her sister an annoyed look. "Neimo, your palm is almost completely gone, I see three broken fingers, your entire right cheek is covered in blood and you are missing a shoe."

Neimo wasn't even aware a shoe had fallen off. Hell she didn't even know when it did. Most likely when she was blasted through a wall though.

Actually that wasn't even the biggest thing here. The biggest thing was Hirari was gently treating her arm with stuff that Recovery Girl had, almost like Hirari was here enough times to know where stuff was to disinfect Neimo's hand and other injuries. But also Hirari was doing other things that just confused Neimo. One; her sister was actually touching her arm to help her, where previously she would avoid physical contact with her sister. Two; her sister was kindly helping her, kindly even if a bit sarcastic while doing so.

"Why are you..." Would it be dumb to question her older sister being nice for the first time in years?

"Mom used to tell me about when she was here at U.A.." Hirari started speaking about a different subject, one that confused Neimo because normally the topic of Yurika Monoma was off limits for Hirari. "She also got injured on her second day of school."

"She did?" The youngest Monoma didn't know that, or a lot on their mom due to the sensitivity of the subject.

"She overused Glass and cracked her left arm." The older sister thought of the irony of Yurika's youngest daughter doing the same thing to her left arm, as if truly a mirror in spirit and appearance to the late mother.

"I blew up my hand." The young blond responded.

"You should know the limits of other people's quirks when copying them. Don't be reckless and get in over your head. Know your limit." Hirari lectured, right before accidentally applied too much pressure and Neimo hissed in pain. "Sorry."

Neimo was silent for a minute before she spoke again. "I ignored that limit. I knew I could do it, even if I would hurt my arm. This one crack isn't going to stop me." She declared that last part not only to her sister who she thought held her done in the past, but to herself.

Hirari looked at Neimo's hand that she finished cleaning, and then the young teen's face, noticing a new light in her eyes, as if a fire that had only just started.

A week earlier:

Hirari only listened from outside Neimo's room as she heard the youngest Neimo celebrate on her own passing the entrance exams, the young blond having just gotten her letter and happily jumping up and down in her room. Hirari gained a small smile, before it turned to an expression of worry as she wondered if this would become too much for the young girl.

Hirari didn't reply, but had the thought that Neimo would not become a cracked mirror of she kept that fire in her eyes going.

A/N: I deadass feel like I rushed the chapter but I also don't know what could've extended it. I mean Neimo admitted she couldn't beat Katsuki in an extended match, a shorter match made sense, but I also feel like I was sloppy due to not really writing anything for a few months. Even Hirari being nice felt rushed but also I didn't want her to just be a bitch, and this felt a bit natural to me. If I am just overthinking this someone let me know.

Neimo beat Katsuki, I mean I think it was obvious Katsuki was gonna get an L and yay for Neimo for giving him that L.

I haven't written for a few months so I hope I didn't lose my edge at all. (this was made in the past few days)

Katsuki will have a stern scolding and actual repercussions for doing something like endangering Neimo's life, but I didn't want to have him get punished in this chapter since it is Neimo-centric and that would take away

*Next chapter I swear I will start responding to reviews again. I have been thinking of waiting to respond to reviews from arcs until the arc is over so this might be the place to start.

Anyways that was it for the chapter, remember I got the Discord server if you guys want to bug me about stories. (I encourage it) Let me know how it was and have a good day!
