Today in the land of Los Angeles, Phoenix Wright was walking down the street.
"I love walking down the street," said Phoenix.
Phoenix walked past Richard Kingsley, who was walking up the street.
Just then, Phoenix collapsed!
"Oh shit Phoenix are you okay!" cried Richard.
"Richarrrrd..." moaned Phoenix, and then Phoenix moaned his last. His body faded into blackness and turned to ashes.
"PHOENIIIIIX!" cried Richard.
"Wot's all this about eh?" said Inspector Gregson, who was on the scene at the time.
"Phoenix suddenly died and he said my name before dying," said Richard.
"Well that means you did it, eh," said Gregson. "You're goin' to jail, son."
At the trial
"The trial of Richard Kingsley shall now begin for the murder of Phoenix Wright," said the Regeria Hope Judge.
"The defense is ready," said John Phoenix and Storm Sente.
"En garde, for I shall vanquish this criminal in the name of the Queen!" said Thorne from Burden of Proof (I forget his first name), pointing his sword at John Phoenix and Storm. "Phoenix was walking down the street when he died, we have a witness to prove it."
"I see, bring him in," said the judge.
"I'm Mendax," said Benjamin Mendax.
"Testify," said Thorne.
"Yes, quickly now, my turkey sandwich must be as cold as the arctic by now," said the judge.
===WITNESS TESTIMONY===
"I was at the Beefy Mare when-"
"OBJECTION!" shouted Storm. "The Beefy Mare is in London not London!"
"I have far vision," said Mendax. "Anyway I looked out the window and saw Richard pass Phoenix while walking down the street."
"OBJECTION!" shouted John Phoenix. "Richard Kingsley was walking UP the street!"
"WHAAAT!" shouted Mendax. "Shut up you corrupt lawyer before I make you into a burger!"
John Phoenix slammed his fist on the desk. "Mr. Mendax... you are LYING!"
Thorne slammed his sword into his desk.
"Not so, Sir Phoenix, for what possible reason could he have to lie."
"OBJECTION!" shouted the voice... of Phoenix Wright!
"WRIGHT! I THOUGHT I KILLED YOU!" shouted Bendax.
"Didn't you know, Mr. Mendax? A Phoenix always rises from the ashes!" said Phoenix. "Your Honor! The reason Mendax is lying... is cause he killed me!"
"NO, YOU HAVE NO EVIDENCE!" said Mendax.
"Actually, that's strange in and of itself," said John Phoenix. "It's true, our court record is totally blank. We have no evidence. Not even the murder weapon. But Uncle Phoenix was stabbed. So it must be somewhere! But where? There is only one possibility hinted at throughout this trial. Thorne! The murder weapon must be your sword!"
"Ye gods!" shouted Thorne. He did a fingerprint and blood test on the sword and found Phoenix's blood on it and Mendax's prints.
"NGHAAAAA!" Mendax cried and he broke his spatula.
"Guards, arrest Mr. Mendax," said the judge. "Now, I declare Richard Kingsley NOT GUILTY!"
They ate burgers later.
