"Ok who wants to start?" Carlisle asked as he took in the occupants of the room. Tanya was sitting with Bella on her lap on a couch while Kate and Irina flanked her and Carmen and Eleazar stood behind them all ready to defend their coven if need be. Alice and Jasper occupied a single chair while Rosalie and Emmet took the love seat. Esme was helping Edward heal his wounds on the other couch while Carlisle sat next to them. The only one who looked remotely comfortable in this tense situation was the strange vampire who was currently walking around the room picking up random things and inspecting them.
"Isabella do you want to explain everything?" Tanya figured she was the best one to explain everything. She was the one who brought all of them together. As she held her mate in her lap Tanya finally believed everything Isabella told her and if the excited look on Irina's face was anything to go by it seemed her sister did as well. She was happy for Irina because out of all of them she was the one who had yearned for a mate more than any of them.
"Hmmm?" Isabella put down one of the dvds she had been looking at. "Oh you want me to talk? It's quite simple actually. I have a gift that allows me to travel to different dimensions. I use this gift to unite my alternate self with their true mate which is Tanya."
Tanya held up a hand stopping all the questions that where being asked at once. "Isabella I think we can all agree it is much more complicated than that."
"It really isn't though." Isabella said as she went back to looking at dvds.
Tanya sighed as she looked at the woman. She realized that Isabella wanted to go home but had hoped that should would answer some questions first. "Would you please tell us how you came to realize your gift and if the others you met had the same ones."
"The others I met haven't had the gift of dimensional travel but they have all had the same level shield. They just have to learn how to properly use it." Isabella told them. Tanya let out a breath she didn't know she was holding. She was beyond relieved that her mate wouldn't be going on these travels.
"If the others have the gift of being a shield how come you are the only one that can travel the way you do?" Eleazar asked. He was beyond excited to finally ask Isabella some questions.
"Well it was an accident." Isabella told them. "My Tanya loves these particular flowers that only grow on the top of a mountain. I had been traveling through the region on my way home from a job when I stopped to get her the flowers. Unfortunately it was storming pretty bad. I had thought my shield would protect me as it blocked out the wind and rain but when I got to the top of the mountain I was hit by lightning."
"You were hit by lighting?" Eleazar had never known a vampire that was hit by lightning. It was something he never thought would ever happen.
"Yes and boy did it sting. Somehow it got through my shield. After it hit me I passed out and when I woke up I was in a different dimension."Isabella explained.
"How did you get home?" Carlisle asked trying to keep from blurting out the dozens of questions that were forming in his mind. As he looked at Eleazar he realized why the man was so excited when Isabella had shown up.
"Well as I told the Denalis. I couldn't figure it out at first. When I realized I wasn't in my home world I sought my other self out for help getting home." Isabella told them. "unfortunately my other self didn't have the gift. We did a bunch of testing trying to activate the gift in her but nothing would work. Even high amounts of electrocution. So after trying everything we could think of to get me home we tracked down Tanya to see if the mate bond was the same in each dimension. When the my other self and her Tanya locked eyes I found myself in my home dimension. After a few times I traveled we figured out that I was pulled to different dimensions with the purpose of uniting my other self with that world's Tanya."
"You literally travel to different dimensions to make sure you and Tanya always end up together?" When Isabella nodded Alice put her hand over heart and sighed. "That is so romantic. You two are so in love that the universe couldn't stand the idea of you being apart so you were given the gift to help you always find each other."
"Yes and now that that is done I need to help Irina and Kate because my coven would be pissed if I left them here without them being with their mates." Isabella told them.
"So you are saying that in ever dimension the true mate bond is the same?" Carlisle asked.
"Yes, the common theme of every dimension is that everyone has the same mate and when I meet Edward Cullen as a human he tries to kill me because I'm his singer. I'm not sure of other singers as I haven't really cared enough to find out if that carries over but I have had to save myself numerous times from Edward." Isabella looked at the pitiful vampire being coddled like a child by Esme.
Emmett laughed. "How many times have you had to give Eddy boy the beat down?"
"Well usually I subdue him and hand him over to Tanya. It's just easier to bring him to her right away so she doesn't have to track him down." Isabella explained seeing their confused looks.
"This is all amazing." Carlisle exclaimed. "I'm now guessing you are the one who helped block everyone's mind from Edward and Jasper's gift."
Isabella nodded. "I can build a block around a person's mind to block all mental manipulations. If Tanya or Rosalie wanted I can make it so Edward's gift would be contained."
"What do you mean by contained and why Rosalie? I understand if Tanya asked you but what does Rosalie have to do with all this?" Eleazar asked.
"By contained I mean I can make it so he could never use it again. It would be contained in his own mind. As for why Rosalie, she is my best friend in my dimension. We have a familiar bond so strong that it rivals a mate bond. So even though this isn't my Rosalie I would still do everything I can to help her." Isabella told them.
"Actually there was something I wanted to ask you. Would you be willing to help Emmett as well?" Rosalie would have to think about Edward's gift. It was very tempting to take it away from him but she knew it helped the family at times.
"Of course. I will also make it so you can keep Alice out as well if you wish." Isabella looked to Jasper. "I can also help you to better control your own so that you can turn it off and on when you want to use it. It will help with the blood lust."
"You could do that?" Jasper hadn't expected that to be an option. He had only hoped that Isabella would give him the block also."I would be forever in your debt if you could help me."
"It's no problem. I have met you many times and observed your struggles. It was because of that I developed a way to contain your gift. It won't dampen it in any way it will just make it so you can have complete control over it." Isabella told him.
Jasper turned his head to hide the tears that were filling his eyes. He was touched that Isabella had cared enough about him, even if it wasn't exactly him to find a way to help him. "I would appreciate any help you could give me."
Isabella stumbled back when Alice suddenly lunged at her. "Thank you so much!"
"Yeah it's all good." Isabella patted Alice on the back. "So if I help you guys out with the blocks and everything do you think you could help me find Irina and Kate's mates?"
"Who exactly are you looking for?" Carlisle asked.
"The Irish coven. Isabella told us that Maggie is my mate." Irina told them.
Carlisle thought about the last time he talked to the coven. "Well they were still in Ireland when I last talked to them. I have a number that Shioban gave me a few years ago but I don't know if it still works. They are rather private and don't usually converse with many outside of the three of them."
"Any help to find them would be appreciated." Irina was beyond excited now. It was an almost guarantee that Isabella was right about Maggie being her mate and she was just barely holding back from going to Ireland herself to start the search. It was only the fact that she didn't know who or where to look for that stopped her from demanding her coven to come help her.
"Who is Kate's mate?" Alice asked. She couldn't contain her happiness for Jasper. If he was able to control his gift like Isabella said Alice knew he would be able to experience the world around him without the constant fear of giving into his blood lust. She was already planning all the places they would go once it was done.
"His name is Garett." Isabella sighed. "It will be somewhat hard to find him though because in every dimension I meet him in he is a nomad."
"We thought that if you knew what he looked like maybe you could search for him Alice." Kate said. Now that she knew Isabella wasn't crazy she was going to put in the effort to actually find her mate. She just hoped he liked to have fun like she did and wasn't some boring vampire who hated his eternal life.
Alice thought about if that would work. "I guess if you could tell me what he looks like it would help. A picture would be better though."
"A picture you say." Isabella took out her wallet and pulled out a picture and handed it to Alice. "This is a picture from my wedding. He is the man standing next to my Kate on the left."
"You have a picture of him?" Kate jumped up from her seat and rushed over to Alice. The picture showed a version of her with extremely long hair dressed in a bridesmaid dress matching Irina and another women who she concluded was Maggie. The man standing next to her had long brown hair that was held back in a pony tail. He was in a finely tailored suit matching both Jane and Alec's. "Holy shit you know the witch twins?"
"Ugh you use that name for them to." Isabella grumbled. "I bet this is one of the places that the Volturi are feared also."
"They aren't where you are from?" Eleazar asked.
Isabella shook her head. "No they aren't feared but they are respected. In my dimension there was a Great War between supernaturals. Sulpicia, Didyme and Athendora lead an army of vampires that they allied with others that wanted a peaceful existence and overthrew the governing body. They were them all crowned queens and have led ever since."
"So Aro, Marcus and Cauis don't rule, their wives do?" Eleazar couldn't imagine what a world with the kings not in charge would be like to live in.
"No they don't. That's not saying they aren't involved. They act as mediators sometimes on less serious problems. Marcus is the one who married myself and my Tanya." Isabella told them.
"This is all so incredible." Eleazar couldn't begin to wrap his head around all the things Isabella had told them. Just what she could do with her shield alone was beyond anything he could imagine. The idea of different dimensions where the different versions of the same person lived was mind blowing.
"Right so Alice can you find Garrett?" Isabella wanted to get back on topic. "I hate to sound like a broken record but I really would like to go home."
"With knowing what he looks like I could try. It might take me a while to be able to tune into him and be able to get clear visions." Alice told them.
"Great so now we have a lead on Kate's mate. Now Irina how do you want to go about finding Maggie?" Isabella asked.
"I think we should have Carlisle try and call them and set up a meeting. He is friendly with them so he may be able to convince them to meet with us." Irina said.
"Sounds like a plan. While we wait for that to happen why don't I build blocks for anyone who wants them and help Jasper with his gift. That way once everyone is united with their mates I can go home right away." Isabella watched as every one set off on their own including Tanya and Bella who walked out the door hand and hand. She just hoped that everything would come together smoothly because her mate was going to be pissed if her sisters were the reason Isabella missed their anniversary. Even if it was her sisters from a different dimension.
