Amber let go of her bowstring and a flaming arrow flew across into the air, leaving a fiery red trail behind it. The arrow hit a roaming hilicurl on the hilltop, who let out a shriek in pain as he was engulfed in flames before turning into dust.
She excitedly turned around towards her blonde companion, "Did you see that?!". Lumine gave a thumbs up before pulling out her sword and said, "Looks like it's friends are coming".
"Huh?", Amber turned around and saw an arrow whizzing towards her face. The arrow was suddenly cut in half and it fell down on the floor.
Lumine sighed, "..Amber please be careful", and raised up her arm towards the enemies. She nonchalantly chanted, "Gust Surge", and a mini tornado appeared in front of her, spinning towards the hilicurls. Lumine gave a thumbs up as she looked at the brunette, "Shoot it amber!".
"I know!", and a fire arrow was subsequently fired upon the tornado. The arrow was quickly swept up by the winds and soon the fire began to grow. A few seconds later, the tornado became a spinning fire vortex that left a trail of death everywhere it goes.
The hilicurls were swept up by the fiery spiral before turning into a pile of ashes. Clearing the whole party, the duo both high-fived each other and looted the chests nearby. They retrieved satchels of mora that were probably stolen from other adventures and several other items.
They went over to the tower of seven to heal up before heading back to Mondstadt. While walking, Paimon appeared behind Lumine and asked, "We going back now?".
Amber replied, "Yep! Thank you guys for helping me clear out that area today". She grinned as she handed lumine a brown pouch, "Here's my token of gratitude". Lumine opened the satchel and it was full of mora.
Paimon stared at the pouch in awe, "Wow! Are you sure we could get this much?!". Amber happily nodded, "It's all yours! I don't need that much anyways". Paimon nudged her blonde companion and licked her lips, "L-Lumine, B-Buy me three portions of sticky honey roast later".
..Three?
The flying guide quickly nodded and looked at her with pleading eyes, before her blonde counterpart finally relented with a sigh.
After a few minutes of walking, they arrived at the front gates of Mondstadt. The city was lively at nighttime, lights everywhere, and people chatted under street lights as guards strolled past.
She turned towards amber and smiled, "Looks like this is where we part, see you tomorrow!", and waved her goodbye as she began to leave.
"Wait!"
Lumine felt a hand grip her wrist, which made her turn around and saw it was amber. She grinned, "Why don't we celebrate first?".
She sheepishly shook her head and said, "B-But I gotta go find a place to rent for tonight". Amber smiled, "Don't worry, you can stay at my house!".
"B-But…", she trailed off, nevertheless amber pouted and pulled her arm and gestured towards the tavern. Suddenly her flying companion appeared and said, "Paimon also thinks you should too!"
Not you too..!
She sighed before being dragged by the brunette, muttering, "Fine..but I don't drink that much". Amber cheerily replied, "That's fine, you don't have to!".
They arrived at the lit up tavern, the tables were empty outside and a poster outside displayed a photo of someone and under it were the words, "Missing". Amber led the blonde inside the pub and shut the door behind her.
The bartender was behind the counter cleaning a glass cup. He noticed the pair and grinned, "What can I get for you two ladies tonight?".
Paimon suddenly appeared behind lumine, and shouted, "Don't forget about me too!". The man raised his arms apologetically, "S-Sorry about that paimon".
"Hmpf! At least you understand", Paimon huffed before hovering near lumine's shoulder.
Amber looked at the menu, ":Let's see...a glass of Woofhook Juice please!". Lumine asked, "Do you guys have milk?". The bartender shook his head, "Nope, just alcohol".
…
She glanced at Amber who was already at a table, waiting for her. "Erm...I'd like the Apple cider vinegar then".
He nodded and looked at Paimon, "and what about you?". The floating fairy licked her lips and exclaimed, "I want a sticky honey roast!"
He nodded, "You got it", and turned around. Lumine went to where Amber was and plopped down right next to her. The brown-haired asked, "What did you order?". The other girl replied with a sigh. "There was no milk so I had to order the apple cider vinegar..".
She cringed, "Erk..that drink contains a lot of alcohol". Lumine shrugged, "It's fine, it's just one drink", and looked at the details in the bar.
A few posters and the windows didn't let out much light since it was nearly nighttime. Amber nudged her, "Where do you guys live again?". She replied, "We rented a small place near the blacksmith".
The brunette clasped her hands and beamed with excitement, "You should let me come over sometime!". Lumine smiled, "Sure, you can come over anytime". Suddenly she heard a few harp noises coming from above, as she looked at the railing on the second story floor, she saw a boy with green clothes playing the tarp.
Lumine said, "Ah, it's venti playing again", and kept her gaze on him while he played.
Paimon exclaimed, "Order's here guys!", and was salivating at the sight of the honey roast. They watched the bartender put the drinks on the table before placing the giant sticky honey roast on the table.
"Enjoy"
The bartender walked off and they began to split the portions. Paimon got the biggest portion, while amber and lumine got relatively small started to eat and causally talked.
Amber asked, "So have you seen anyone you're interested in?".
Lumine peeked at amber and glanced away, "Yep". The brown-haired looked surprised and looked at her in curiosity, "Who is it?". The blonde shook her head, "It's...a secret".
Amber gazed at her pleadingly, "Noo..please I won't tell anyone?". Lumine sipped her drink, "Quit staring at me with those puppy eyes…", before sighing and said, "Fine...it's someone close to me".
Her eyes lit up, "Close...its it Diluc?!". Lumine shook her head, "Nope, it's a girl", and watched amber in deep thought. "Jean?"
Shaking her head, "Nope", the blonde leaned in and whispered, "You'll never get it". Amber pouted, and leaned in to grab her hand, "I give up, tell meeee..!".
Too close..!
The blonde reflexively scooted back, "M-Maybe another time". The girl groaned, "You're no fun..!", and playfully hit her shoulder. The brunette glanced over at a beer mug on the table and reached out to grab it.
Lumine looked at her drink with concern and glanced at amber who was already chugging one down.
She muttered, "Here goes", and started to down the drink. Amber slammed the glass on the table and let out a refreshing breath. The brunette glanced at the blonde who also finished the glass. She was eerily quiet and her hair covered her face.
She moved closer to her, "Lumine you okay?" , and used her fingers to move her blonde bangs away, revealing a red face. Suddenly, she spread out her arms to hug amber.
She moaned, "Of course I'm *hiccup* okay!", and tightened her grip. Amber was trapped with two mounds pressing against her face. She gasped out, "L-Lumine..I can't breathe..!", and struggled to break her grip.
Paimon chewed scrupulously as she watched the scene unfold. She gulped down the food and shook her head while saying, "Oh! I forgot to tell Amber that she gets drunk easily.".
Lumine let her go and slumped in her seat, hiccuping. Amber coughed and panted for air, before glancing back at her friend. Lumine's cheeks were a tint of red, and she was trying to not fall over before leaning on Amber's arm for support.
Paimon commented, "Looks like that's it for her, you should take her home". Amber nodded and slowly heaved her onto her back, "I'll take her home, what about you paimon?".
She said through a muffled mouth, "Paimon will be here for a bit, eating all of this food". The brunette grinned and began to hustle back to her house with her friend on her back.
Amber was jogging on the cobblestone street, with lit up shops lining left and right. The blonde wasn't that heavy and she could feel lumine playfully fiddling with her hair. About halfway there, lumine muttered, "..like..", slurring her words.
Amber said, "Hm? I didn't catch that", and kept jogging.
She softly whispered in her ear, "I like someone..", and blushed. Amber warmly smiled, "What are they like?", taking a peek at her red face.
The blonde pondered for a moment before saying, "Well...she's nice".
"Go on"
Lumine said, "She's always positive and insanely attractive", and continued, "We always hunt monsters together and she saved me countless times..".
Amber smiled, "You both sound really close", and curiously asked, "Who is this person?".
'"..ber.."
Hm?
"Amber".
The brunette furiously blushed before halting to a stop. She sputtered, "W-W-What..?!", and turned around to look at her. Lumine giggled, "Your cheeks are red", and poked on of them with her finger. Dumbfounded by the confession, amber stood blushing for a moment before finding the words to speak.
"Y-You like me..?"
Lumine scoffed, "Obviously stupid". Amber stood shocked for a moment before resuming to jog, she was completely caught off-guard from the statement and her face was still hot.
"You don't like me?"
"I-I do, but you're drunk right now so I don't know if this is true.."

After 5 minutes, amber finally reached her house. It was a wooden one-story building located near the Knights of Favornius HQ. Amber fumbled for the keys as lumine wobbled around. She unlocked the door and led the blonde inside.
The room was clean and neat, as expected. Lumine inspected the living room before crashing onto the couch.
Amber shuffled to a door, "Imma go shower and come back..", and curiously glanced at lumine on the couch, who was already sleeping.
She let out a deep breathe of relief before heading to the bathroom. Amber showered and brushed her teeth, preparing to go to bed. She tip-toed past the living room before hearing lumine gasp.
She shrieked as looked at the couch where lumine was just sitting casually on the couch. Amber stuttered, "I-I thought you were sleeping!".
Lumine yawned, "I-I was...but you woke me up when you walked past me". Amber sighed and walked to her bedroom to get dressed. After dressing, she walked back out and pouted at her, "You scared me lumine!".
The blonde hiccuped, "S-Sorry I'm still kinda drunk.", and laid on the couch again. Amber sighed, "Ok, well I'm going to sleep now, you want anything else?".

Amber turned bright red while the blonde chuckled uncontrollably. "Joking, anyways could I sleep on your bed tonight?". The brunette paused for a moment before nodding and led her inside her bedroom. The room was full of red items, a red doll on her bed, and red blankets.
Lumine jumped on the bed first, snuggling into the pillow. Amber laid besides her and gazed at the blonde. Lumine turned faceside up and noticed amber staring at her before quickly looking away. The blonde's cheek also turned pink as her drunk stupor slowly began to wear off, realizing they were both together, alone.
Amber nervously said, "S-So about that confession.."
Lumine stuttered, W-W-What about it?".
The brunnette looked at her in the eyes, "Did you mean it?". The blonde gulped and nodded and thought

Not expecting a yes, lumine's eyes widened, "H-Huh?".
Amber took a deep breathe and said, "I love you too lumine". The blonde blushed bright red as she looked at amber in the eyes. The brunette giggled, "Looks like you're not drunk anymore".
Frozen in shock, lumine watched as amber leaned in closer, stopping when their noses hit. Amber whispered, "Do you also love me?". The blonde slowly nodded and amber quickly dove in for the kiss, her hands holding her cheeks.
Lumine was caught off-guard from the sudden kiss, and tried her best to reciprocate. Their tongues overlapped each other, fighting for dominance. But Amber was too good and quickly overwhelmed her. Not taking a breath of air, they both went at it for about a minute before separating, a strand of saliva connected both of them.
Both gasping for breath, they sat in silence for a few moments before going again. After making out, they both laid on the bed in each other's arms.
Lumine softly whispered in her ear, "I love you amber".
"Love you too lumine".
