A/N: My next chapter is the last one for season 1, so please read and review?

At the hospital, later that night, Aunt May was rolled towards a room on a stretcher bed by Paramedics, as Anna Watson, Flash and Liz all followed them down a hallway. They all turned left, when Aunt May opened her eyes, as Paramedics kept leading her bed down the hallway.

"Those eyes..!" she cried. "Those horrible yellow eyes!"

Liz and Flash turned to each other.

"She was attacked by the Goblin!" Liz gasped.

"I'm gonna call Parker." Flash said. "He needs to know of this."

He took his phone out, then began scrolling down his saved list, but saw no sign of Peter's number.

"Where the..." he exclaimed, before he clamed down. "Oh, yeah. I used to pick on Parker, so I wouldn't have his number."

He looked around, just as Anna turned to him.

"You trying to call her nephew?" she asked.

"Yeah. Do you have his number?" Flash asked.

"Here, I'll write it down." Anna said.

She took out a notepad and pencil, then wrote down Peter's phone number on it.

"Here you go." she said. "You better make sure he gets her for her sake."

Flash gulped slightly as she turned around and walked off.

"Didn't know Watson's Aunt was that mean." he muttered.

Meanwhile, out in the city, Spider-Man was swinging home, when his phone beeped.

"Huh?" he muttered.

He landed on a rooftop, then took out his phone as it kept ringing, but didn't recognize the ID.

"Who could be calling me?" he wondered, before putting it to his ear. "Hello?"

"Parker, where are you?" came Flash's voice.

"Flash? Flash Thompson?!" Spider-Man questioned. "What do you want at this hour? I'm on my way home, you know"

"Parker, your Aunt's been attacked by that Goblin creep." Flash explained.

Spider-Man gasped, putting his free hand over his heart.

"Are you-" he began.

"I'm positive. Liz and I were just walking by your house when we saw him fly off." Flash explained. "I thought you might wanna know."

"Are you and Liz at the hospital with her?" Spider-Man asked.

"Yeah. So's Ms. Watson." Flash explained. "I think you need to get here right away."

"Okay, I'm on my way." Spider-Man assured.

He hung up and put his phone away, then put his hands over his mask.

"Oh, Aunt May?" he moaned, before lowering his hands. "Wait, why would Goblin attack her?"

He jumped off the roof and began swinging towards the nearby hospital.

Once at the hospital, Peter changed out of his suit, then ran into the reception, where Liz was sitting down in the chair.

"Peter." she said, getting up.

"Where is she, Liz?" Peter asked frantically.

"I'll take you to her." Liz assured. "Come on."

They both walked down a hallway, then a few minutes later, they both approached Flash and Anna Watson, who turned to them both.

"How is she?" Peter asked.

"She's resting, but that's all we know." Flash explained.

Anna Watson then approached him and glared at him, before slapping his face.

"Hey?!" Peter complained.

"Where were you when this happened?!" Anna demanded. "You should've been home looking after her?!"

"Ms. Watson, my curfew's not until 10." Peter explained. "And I was nearly at home when Flash called."

Anna's angry began to clam down.

"Oh..." she said. "Well, I'm sorry. I thought your curfew was 9."

"Well, it's not." Peter assured.

A female Doctor then came into the hallway, getting all four people to turn to him.

"How's my Aunt, Doc?" he asked.

"You Peter Parker?" the Dr. asked.

Peter nodded.

"Well, she's alive, and she will recover." the Dr. explained, making Peter sigh. "But...she had a heart attack from whatever freaked her out. She'll have to stay here for a few days until we can check on her."

"Okay. Thanks, Doc." Peter sighed.

The Dr. turned around and walked away, as Liz approached Peter and touched her shoulder.

"Your Aunt's one tough bird, Petey." she said, getting his attention. "I'm sure she'll make a complete recovery in no time."

"I'm just glad she's alive." Peter sighed. "She's all I've got since my Uncle was killed."

He then turned to Flash.

"I'm glad you and Liz were nearby when it happened." he said. "Thanks."

"Don't mention it." Flash assured. "If it were my parents and you were nearby, I'd know you do the same, even if we don't always see eye-to-eye."

"Thanks." Peter said. "Hey, I think you two better home. Your families are probably worried."

"He has a point, you two." Anna agreed. "I better get home too. Peter..."

Peter turned to her.

"..if you're gonna stay here for the night, I'll ask Mary Jane to call your friends in the morning." she said.

"Thanks, and I am." Peter said.

He turned and walked towards his Aunt's room, then stared at her though the window, seeing her asleep peacefully, while hooked up to a life support machine.

"There's only one reason Goblin would attack her like that, he must've figured out who I am?" he thought. "The question is; how?"

The next morning, at the Stacy House, Gwen came downstairs in her nightwear, then walked into the kitchen, then put her phone on the table. She then made some toast for herself, then buttered it, before she sat at the table, seeing a note her Dad left her.

"Had to leave early, Gwen. I'll call you later. Dad." it read.

As Gwen took a bite from one of the slices, her phone rang.

"Who could that be?" she wondered.

She picked her phone up, and saw the ID said Mary Jane, before she put it to her ear.

"Hey, M.J. What's-" she began.

"Gwen, did you just get up?" Mary Jane asked frantically.

"Uh, yeah." Gwen replied, surprised by her friend's tone. "Why?"

"Peter's Aunt May was attacked last night!" Mary Jane explained. "She's resting in the hospital. I really think you should be here."

Gwen held her mouth open in horror, not believing Mary Jane's words, but knew she had to be there for Peter.

"I'll be there as quick as I can." she promised.

She hung up her phone, quickly finished her toast, before she ran out of the kitchen. She quickly got washed, then bushed her teeth, before she changed into her costume, then climbed out of her bedroom window. She then closed it, before she turned around, then she jumped and began swinging towards the hospital.

At the hospital, Peter was outside his Aunt May's room, staring at her sadly, while wondering how Green Goblin had figured him out. He was so busy staring at her and thinking, that he didn't hear people coming towards him.

"Pete, you okay?" came Harry's voice.

Peter turned left, and saw Harry, Mary Jane, Flash, Liz, Randy and Gloria Grant.

"We thought you might need some company." Mary Jane said. "I called Gwen and she's on her way."

"Thanks, guys." Peter said. "But I didn't expect you lot."

Flash, Liz, Randy and Gloria all turned to each other.

"Peter, I wanted to come for Liz's sake." Gloria said. "She told me about what happened, and I felt sorry for you. I'm not like Sally who hardly cares at all."

"Thanks, Gloria." Peter sighed.

"Petey, she's serious." Liz assured. "Sally may be spoiled, but she's no monster. My guess is, she's too busy to be here."

"Yeah, right." Peter sighed. "Out of the three of you, she's been the least friendly to people like me."

He then stared at Randy, who came towards him.

"Peter, I called my Dad to tell Mr. Jameson you might not be in today." he assured.

"Thanks, Randy." Peter said.

At the Daily Bugle, Mr. Jameson sat in his office, reading today's issue of the Bugle, when Robbie opened the door and came into the office.

"Ah, Robbie." Jameson said, lowering the paper. "Where's Parker? He should've been here by now with more pictures."

"Um, Jonah...I think he might not..." Robbie said.

"What, Robbie, spit it out?" Jameson asked.

"He might not be in today, Jonah." Robbie explained. "My son Randy called me and said Peter's Aunt was attacked last night. She's in the hospital recovering."

This shocked Jameson, so much so his cigar fell out of his mouth.

"Oh..." he said. "Well, in that case, call Parker and tell him I'll wait for awhile until his Aunt's recovered."

"Right, Jonah." Robbie said.

He tuned around and left the office, as Betty and Ned both stared at him.

"Did we just hear that right, Robbie?" Betty asked. "Mr. Jameson's letting Peter off for a while?"

"Yep. Guess that proves that even he has a heart." Robbie assured, taking his phone out of his pocket.

"Well, I'm still in a state of shock, Robbie." Ned said, speechless.

Robbie looked around the room and saw everyone looked shocked.

"I don't think you two are the only ones." he said.

Back at the hospital, as Peter kept staring at his Aunt, his classmates had all left and were waiting in reception, just as Gwen came storming into the room.

"Gwen, where've you been?" Mary Jane asked, getting up.

"I got here as fast I could, M.J." Gwen assured. "Where's Peter?"

"Down the hall outside his Aunt's room." Mary Jane explained, pointing at the doorway.

Gwen ran past them all, then though the door, then turned left down the hallway, and ran towards Peter.

"How is she?" Gwen asked.

Peter turned to her.

"She's alright, just asleep, but I'm still worried." he explained. "Until she wakes up, I don't know what to do."

"You want me to portal the city alone today?" Gwen asked quietly. "At least this way, you'll be here for her until she wakes up."

"Thanks, Gwen." Peter whispered.

They both hugged each other, before Harry and Mary Jane both walked towards them both.

"Uh, there something you wanna tell us?" Mary Jane asked, as they turned to her and Harry. "I mean, we noticed you two were pretty close there."

Peter and Gwen turned to each other and sighed.

"Yep." Gwen sighed. "You kinda guessed it yesterday, M.J."

She took Peter's hand, who then smiled at her.

"I knew it." Mary Jane said, touching Gwen's shoulders. "Just how long has this been going on for?"

"3 months." Peter explained. "We didn't tell you because you two didn't come clean with us."

Harry and Mary Jane - who backed away - both blushed.

"Oh, well... That does seem fair, I guess." Mary Jane admitted. "So, listen, how 'bout we double-date sometime? Give us a better chance to hang out."

"Well, I'd like that, M.J., but..." Gwen began.

"Until my Aunt's recovered, I'm not so sure." Peter explained. "I need to be there for her."

"Oh, okay. It's understandable." Mary Jane assured.

"Yeah, sure is." Harry said, before his phone rang.

He took it out of his pocket, then saw it was his Dad.

"Uh, I'll be right back. That's my Dad calling." he explained, as he turned around.

He then walked off as his friends stared at him.

A little later, Harry stood outside the hospital, before he put his phone to his ear.

"Hey, Dad." he said.

"Harry, I heard about Peter's Aunt. Is she alright?" Norman asked.

"Well, she's still asleep, but the Doctors said she'll be okay." Harry assured.

"How's Peter holding up?" Norman asked.

"Well, he's okay. I'm sure Gwen will keep him company until his Aunt wakes up?" Harry assured.

(Osborn limo)

Norman sat in his limo as his driver drove it through the city.

"Gwen?" he inquired.

"Yeah. Turns out she and Pete have been dating for a while." Harry explained.

Norman's eyes widened, his Goblin self sniggering inside him.

"Prefect. I know just who to use so we can lure the web-heads out." it sniggered.

"Dad, you there?" Harry asked.

"Yeah, I'm here." Norman assured. "Was just silent 'cause I was shocked."

"Oh, right." Harry said. "Well, I wasn't."

"Why's that?" Norman asked.

(The hospital)

"Well, let's just say M.J. and I have been expecting that for a while." Harry explained.

"Oh, really?" Norman asked. "Well, look, I gotta go. I only called to check on Peter's Aunt."

"Okay, Dad. See you." Harry said.

He hung up, then turned around and ran back into the hospital.

(Osborn limo)

Norman put his phone away, then smirked.

"At least we know what Parker's true weakness is now." his Goblin half sniggered. "If the one he loves is in peril, he and Ghost Spider will defiantly come out."

"Well, him maybe, but Ghost Spider, I'm not so sure off." Norman thought. "I mean, she might not know about Gwen."

"Well, if that happens, then we'll take care of Parker first, Ghost Spider second." the Goblin snarled.

The limo turned right as it kept driving through the city.

Later, at the hospital, all but Peter, Gwen, Harry and Mary Jane had left, as they all sat in Aunt May's room, all staring at her.

"I'm sure she's just asleep, Pete." Mary Jane assured.

"I hope so." Peter said, as Gwen held his hand. "But it's been hours now."

"Peter, relax. The Doctors didn't say she was in any danger." Gwen recalled. "Maybe due to her age, it's just taking longer than we expected."

Peter sighed, before they all heard a moan.

"Aunt May?" he questioned, getting up.

He approached his Aunt May, just as she opened her eyes and stared at him.

"Peter..." she said.

Peter smiled as he sat down beside, touching her hand, as Gwen, Harry and Mary Jane all stared at her.

"Aunt May, you okay?" he asked.

"I'm fine, sweetie." Aunt May said weakly.

"Aunt May, can you remember what happened?" Peter asked, needing to know the truth.

"I can't remember much, only that...I saw this green figure with horrible yellow eyes emerging from the fire...and then I passed out." Aunt May recalled.

Peter sighed, for this is what he feared, and now he knew Green Goblin really did know who he was, and that Flash and Liz were telling the truth.

"You just rest now, Aunt May." Peter said. "The Doctors' said you'll be alright in no time."

"Okay, Peter." Aunt May said.

She fell asleep against her pillow, then Peter turned to his friends.

"We'll leave you both alone so she can rest, Peter?" Mary Jane said.

"Thanks, guys." Peter said.

Mary Jane and Harry both turned and left the room, while Gwen walked towards him.

"I'll see you later then, Pete." she said.

She kissed Peter's cheek, then turned around, as Peter turned to his Aunt May, who woke up and smiled.

"You both look cute together." she said.

Peter smiled, before turning to Gwen as she left the room, before turning to his Aunt.

"I'll be right back." he promised. "I just need a word with Gwen before she leaves."

"Okay, Peter." Aunt May said.

Peter left the room, then touched Gwen's shoulder as she started to walk down the hallway, before turning to him.

"I need to talk to you before you go." he said quietly.

"Okay. What's up?" Gwen asked.

Peter leaned towards her, then whispered about how he figured Green Goblin had figured out he was Spider-Man, as it was the only way he'd willing attack Aunt May.

"Oh, Pete..." she gasped, covering her mouth with her hand. "I...If he knows, he must be attacking the people you're close too."

"I know, so we have to deal with him quickly." Peter explained. "I'm gonna stay with Aunt May for a while until a Doctor returns."

"Okay. I'll patrol the city and keep my eyes open for him. I'll call if I find something." Gwen promised.

"Thanks, Gwen." Peter said.

They both kissed each other, Peter putting his hands on her back, while she put hers in his hair, before they pulled back, Aunt May unknowingly watching them through the window, making her smile.

"I love you." Gwen whispered.

"I love you too." Peter whispered.

Gwen turn around and walked off, as Peter turned and re-entered his Aunt's room.

Later, in the city, Ghost Spider was swinging past a tall tower, before she landed on a rooftop near it, having seen no sign of the Green Goblin or any kind of disturbance in the past 2 and a half hours.

"Okay, this is weird." she thought, getting to her feet. "No sign of any sort of crime or people being in trouble, caused by Green Goblin or anyone else. I might have to check in with Dad to see if he's found anything."

She took her phone out of her suit, then found her Dad on speed dial, then put it to her ear.

"Hi, you've reached Capt. Stacy." came her Dad's voice. "I'm busy at the station now, so leave a message after the beep?"

"AH!" Ghost Spider moaned.

She hung up as the phone beeped, before she put it away.

"Stupid answering machine." she mumbled. "I guess I'll have to go home and wait till he gets back, since it's nearly dark."

She jumped off the roof and began swinging away toward her house.

Once at her house, Gwen climbed into her bedroom, then changed out of her costume, put it in a bag, and then kicked it under her bed. She then looked at the clock, seeing it as almost 8:30pm.

"Things really have been quiet today." she thought.

She turned to her door and walked towards it, when the wall behind her suddenly blew away.

"AGHH!" she yelped.

She hit the floor near the door, then looked up, seeing fires burning near the hole, and the Green Goblin on his gilder.

"Oh, just my luck, after I change out of my suit!" she complained.

She got up and stared at her bed, which was just out of range of the fires, before Green Goblin hovered towards her.

"What do you want?!" she asked.

Green Goblin laughed, before he began spraying gas from his wrists.

"Sleep tight, Gwendolyn." he sneered, as it hit her.

"What...the...heck..." Gwen coughed, before she passed out.

She fell forward as Green Goblin grabbed her, then grabbed her cell phone, before he turned his gilder around and flew her away though the city.

"Time for phase 2." he smirked.

At the hospital, Peter stared at his Aunt May from her room's window, while drinking some soda, when his phone rang. He looked at the ID, seeing it was Gwen, before putting it to his ear.

"Hey, Gwen. Everything alright?" he asked.

No answer came from the other end.

"Gwen?" Peter asked, worriedly.

"It's not your girlfriend, Parker. Or should I say, Spider-Man." came Green Goblin's voice.

Peter gasped in shock, nearly dropping his can as he did.

"Where is she?" he hissed angrily.

"If you truly value her life, meet me at the George Washington Bridge at 10pm sharp." Green Goblin explained. "Bring your partner too if you see her on the way."

Peter clutched his can in anger, before Green Goblin hung up.

"Well, at least he doesn't know Gwen's Ghost Spider." he thought. "I better see if her costume's at her house before I get there."

He entered his Aunt's room, who turned to him as he stared at the clock, seeing it was 8:40.

"Aunt May, are you gonna be alright?" Peter asked.

"Yes, I'll be find, Peter." Aunt May assured. "You got somewhere to be."

"Well, kinda." Peter blushed. "I just wanna make sure you're okay before I go."

"That's sweet and understanding, Peter." Aunt May said. "It's what Ben would do in this case. Now go on, just call me in the morning okay."

"Okay, Aunt May." Peter promised.

He kissed his Aunt's cheek, then he turned and left the room, then ran down the hallway, dropping his soda can into a recycle bin as he did.

Later, Gwen woke up and looked around, as the wind blew on her. She got to her feet and walked towards a railing ahead of her, seeing she was on the George Washington Bridge.

"How'd I get over here?" she wondered frantically.

She looked at herself to strip, but then remembered her costume was still at home.

"Oh, man! Unless Peter knows about this, I'm stuck." she thought.

She then looked at her wrist, and saw she'd left her watch at home too.

"Oh, man." she moaned.

She turned as she heard Green Goblin's laughter, then saw him glide towards her, before he hovered above her.

"You're boyfriend has just an hour to get here, otherwise you're doomed, Ms. Stacy." he snarled. "I've already called him with your phone. We'll soon find out if he loves you or his partner more!"

Gwen gulped. "Well, at least he doesn't know I'm Ghost Spider." she hoped. "Come on, Pete. You've never let me down before."

Meanwhile, Spider-Man swung towards the Stacy house, before he landed on a rooftop opposite it. He looked down at the house, and saw no sign of Capt. Stacy's car.

"He must be away on duty or something." he realized. "I have to make sure Gwen's costume's there before I go to rescue her, just to be sure Goblin doesn't know who she is."

He jumped off the roof and glided towards the Stacy house, before he landed on the side of it. He then crawled along the walls until he got to Gwen's room, seeing the wreckage made by Goblin's attack, before climbing into it.

He looked around the room, seeing no sign of her costume, or bag for that matter. He then opened the closet, seeing neither was in there either, before he looked under the bed and found her bag.

"Aha." he thought.

He pulled it out from under the bed, then opened it up, seeing her costume was in, before zipping it back up.

"Hang on, Gwen." he thought. "I'm coming."

He put the bag around his arms, then turned and jumped through the hole in the wall, before he began to swing away.

On the George Washington Bridge at 9:50pm, Gwen looked around, as the Green Goblin flew his glider in circles above her, which had prevented her from escaping by herself, as he'd see her straight away.

"Almost time for phase 2 to commence." Green Goblin decided.

He turned his glider left and flew away towards a cable car, as Gwen stared at him.

"Oh, if only I had my costume." she thought. "If I just climb down now, he'll know who I am."

The people in the cable car - which were a bunch of children and a couple of women - all turned as they saw Green Goblin flying towards them.

"The itsy bitsy spiders went up the water spout.
Down came the Goblin, and took the Spiders out." he sang.

He fired a missile from his glider, which hit a power house down below, creating a big explosion.

"Huh?" Gwen gasped.

Several cars and taxies on the bridge skidded to a halt and crashed into each other slightly as the drivers and passenger's saw the explosion. A few of them then honked their horns as others got out of their cars.

"What the hell was that?!" a man exclaimed.

"Some sort of explosion." another replied.

Spider-Man swung forward and landed on a roof nearby with flagpoles, seeing Green Goblin in the distance.

"Goblin, what have you done?!" he gasped.

More explosions went off in the power house, cutting a cable car's support cable nearby, which was filled with children and a few women.

"AGHHH!" the kids screamed.

The cable car began to fall down, before the Green Goblin flew over and grabbed the snapped cable, catching it before it hit the ground.

"AGHH!" the kids yelled.

The Green Goblin then flew his glider up while holding the cable car's cable, laughing evilly as he did.

Meanwhile, Spider-Man shot a web at the two flagpoles nearest him, then took several steps back, using them like a slingshot.

"Hope this works." he thought.

He then pulled himself forward, throwing himself over towards the bridge, then he shot a web out and swung up towards a top support. He then shot another two and dodged past some more, then shot another web and swung around over the support, before he jumped forward and landed on another. He then looked up, and saw Green Goblin holding Gwen by the neck in one hand, and the cable car cable in the other.

"Spider-Man, this is why only fools are heroes, because they never know when some lunatic will come along with such a statistic choice!" Green Goblin roared.

Spider-Man stared at him and Gwen in horror.

"AHH!" Gwen grunted.

"Now, where's your partner, Ghost Spider?!" Green Goblin demanded. "I expected you both here?!"

"She's on the other side of the city!" Spider-Man roared. "Where do you think?!"

"In that case, it's you alone, web-head!" Green Goblin snarled. "I'll deal with her later. Pity, with her around, you might have had a better chance at this!"

"What are you gonna do, Goblin?!" Spider-Man yelled.

"Let you choose between these options! Let die the girl you love..." Green Goblin roared.

"AGHH!" Gwen screamed.

"..or suffer the little children!" Green Goblin snarled, turning right.

Spider-Man turned to the cable car, and saw the women and children inside.

"Spider-Man, save us?!" a boy called. "Save us?!"

"Help us, please?!" a girl cried.

"Make your choice, Spider-Man, and see how a hero is rewarded?!" Green Goblin dared.

"Don't do it, Goblin?!" Spider-Man roared.

"We are who we choose to be, now choose!" Green Goblin dared.

He dropped both Gwen and the cable car's cable, then they both began to fall down towards the river.

"SAVE US!" some kids yelled.

"AHH!" more cried.

"Not good! Not good!" Gwen thought.

Spider-Man turned and ran right along the support, then he jumped off and dived down, then he caught Gwen, before he shot a web out from his left hand. He swung to his left on it towards a dark spot, then let go and shot another web, making a spider web in it, before turning to Gwen.

"Take the bag and get on there. He won't be able to see you change." he said quietly.

"Right." Gwen understood, taking the bag, knowing her costume was in it.

She let go of Spider-Man and dived towards the web, landing right in the middle of it.

"Good luck, Pete." she thought, opening the bag.

Spider-Man glided towards the other side of the bridge, then grabbed the cable car's cable, as several people on the bridge watched.

"He must've put the girl somewhere on the bridge." a man assumed.

"Yeah. There's no way he or Ghost Spider would leave someone to die like that if they could help it." his wife agreed.

Spider-Man turned as he kept hold of the cable car's cable, then shot a web up towards the bridge with his other hand, which stuck to it, stopping him and the cable car.

Green Goblin ran towards the edge of the support he was on, then looked down at Spider-Man.

"Either he didn't love Gwen at all, or he put her on a web-hammock or something which I can't see." he snarled.

He looked down at the river, as Spider-Man turned to it, seeing a barge ship moving towards him.

"Ahoy up there!" the Capt. yelled through a bullhorn.

Gwen - now dressed up in her costume, expect her mask, gloves and boots, looked down at the barge while putting her web-shooters on.

"We're gonna bring the barge right under you!" the Capt. explained.

Spider-Man kept hold of the cable, but it slipped slightly in his hand, making the cable car fall down slightly, but he tightened his grip, stopping it.

"AH!" the kids yelped.

Spider-Man then looked up as he heard laughter, then saw Green Goblin flying his glider right towards him.

"Oh, man." he gasped. "Hurry up, Gwen?!"

Gwen, now putting her footwear on, looked up and saw Green Goblin heading towards Spider-Man.

"Oh, gotta hurry." she gasped, putting her right shoe.

Green Goblin dashed towards Spider-Man, then punched him across the chest while flying past him.

"UH!" Spider-Man moaned, as he went flying away, letting go of the cable as he did.

"AGHHH!" the kids yelled, as the cable car began to shoot down towards the river.

Spider-Man swung forward on his web, then grabbed the cable again, stopping the cable car.

"Uh!" the kids yelped.

The barge moved closer to where the cable car was.

"He's not gonna make it!" a crewman said.

"He's gonna make it!" the Capt. assured.

Spider-Man kept hold of his web and the cable car's cable, when he spotted Green Goblin dashing towards him again.

"Time to die!" Green Goblin snarled, extending blades from the end of his glider.

He dashed his glider towards Spider-Man, who gasped at the blades.

Gwen peeked out from her hiding spot at these words, wearing all but her mask, then saw Green Goblin flying towards Spider-Man, before putting her mask on.

"NOOOO!" she cried.

Green Goblin moved his glider closer to Spider-Man, but when he got close, a pipe hit him on the head.

"Ah!" he yelped.

Spider-Man lifted his legs up as Green Goblin flew past him, losing control of his gilder slightly. He then stopped and regained control of it, before he turned to the bridge, and saw a bunch of people on it throwing pipes and bricks at him, one of which hit his shoulder.

"Come on up here, jackass!" a man yelled, throwing a brick.

"Yeah, I got something for ya!" a man called Tobey yelled.

"Here, take your frigging pick!" a blonde woman yelled angrily, tossing a brick.

"Leave Spider-Man alone!" Tobey yelled. "You're gonna pick on a guy trying to save a bunch of kids!"

"Hey, I got something for your ass!" an African man with dreadlocks roared, throwing a pipe.

The pipe hit Green Goblin's arm slightly, as he glared at the people.

"You mess with Spidey, you mess with New York!" the African man roared.

"You mess with one of us, you mess with all us!" Tobey yelled, before tossing a brick.

The brick missed Green Goblin's head by inches, then he knocked another away with his arm.

"Especially me!" a voice yelled.

Green Goblin turned as Ghost Spider swung forward, then gilded down towards him, making everyone on the bridge stop throwing stuff at him.

"It's Ghost Spider!" the blonde woman said.

"Where's she been?" the African man wondered.

"On the other side of the city, probably." Tobey deduced. "Must've got here as soon as she could."

Ghost Spider pulled her web-wings back and kicked Green Goblin with both feet, knocking him and his glider away.

"AHH!" he moaned.

He spun around slightly, before he saw Ghost Spider grab the cable, then shot a web up from her left hand, which stuck near her partner's on the bridge.

"Got here as quick as I could, Spidey!" she said, loud enough for Green Goblin to hear.

"Better late than never, Ghostie." Spider-Man said.

They both lowered the cable car down slightly, before it landed on the barge.

"Yeah!" the Capt. whooped.

A woman inside pulled the door open, as the people on the bridge all cheered, then the kids and women inside all got out.

"Yeah!" the kids cheered.

Spider-Man and Ghost Spider let go of the cable, when their Spider-Senses tingled.

"Huh?" they muttered.

They both looked around, and saw Green Goblin flying towards them both.

"I've had it with you two!" he cursed.

He shot a cable from his glider, which wrapped around both their chests, then he flew away, dragging them with him.

"AGHH!" they yelped.

Green Goblin laughed as he flew away from the bridge, then turned left near a building, as both Spiders crashed into its wall, before hitting the floor.

"UH!" they moaned, landing on their chests.

To be continued...
