I was pretty bored today. Life had come to a snail's pace a few weeks ago. Which you wouldn't think would have happened when freaking aliens appear! Earth had just discovered extraterrestrial life and no one was talking about it!
My mom said it was due to the fact that everyone was recovering from being attacked. But that only applied to people in the Tri-state area. What about everyone else in the world?
I had looked up on forums and numerous sites to see anyone chattering about it. I came up empty-handed. Just how?
That's when I suspected Global Justice was involved. I had found some taken downed forums and videos of the incidents that happened a few weeks ago.
It was easy to trace their hands in these actions. I still had numerous backdoor exits into their network. They just closed one after I used it. I rarely did this because getting entry into their network was actually time-consuming, not hard. Still was annoying to do.
GJ had a really good firewall, if not the best in the world. I still crack it any day, even with it constantly updating and improving itself. I prided myself on my skills, knowing no one else compared to me.
I'm still mad at the loss of all the alien tech that had been scavenged by the US government and GJ. I remember when some black suit federal agents and Will Du came to my house with a warrant to disable my network for a week. My mother had been mad at the invasion but I knew she had been happy to get me off the computer just to do more chores around the house. I did those anyways, which was annoying since my mother forbade me from using robots to do the job. She said it was because I needed some form of exercise.
During that week of no computer, I just made new schematics for future gadgets. It was strange doing things by hand again instead of using CAD. I didn't like how imperfect my drawings were, so used to the perfect computer-generated lines. When the week was over, I was so glad to recreate my schematics in CAD.
I had talked to Ron the other day about his display of power but he was tight-lipped on it. I even questioned Kim on it, but I received the same reply. I did not like those two holding secrets from me. Well, not really Ron since Kim and I still haven't told him about the chip we placed on him.
I knew this secret had to do with Yamanouchi, the school Ron had visited in Japan twice. I had tried over the years to find more information on them, but I couldn't. I didn't ask Kim and Ron about it, since I knew they wouldn't speak. It was another secret the two had between them. I hope this wasn't going to be a trend in the future.
Still, Ron being able to launch those two aliens into space was way beyond anything I could expect a human able to do. Even the superhumans like Shego and Hego. Especially Hego, I just don't understand how Ron had more power than him. Ron was by all accounts a regular human. A well-trained and athletic human beyond the majority of our race. He wasn't on the level like the Olympic athletes like Kim, but he was getting closer and closer. Within a few months, Ron would be on Kim's level of physical prowess. I could see Kim not liking that and the two constantly getting in competitions.
I wanted tests done on Ron's powers, for lack of a better word. But I don't think either Ron or Kim would agree. Not like I would do itself without a proper Doctor on-site, like Dr. Anne Possible. I'm sure she would be up for, since knowing Ron's powers could help keep her daughter safe. Even Dr. James Possible would like that! He always over worrying about Kim, even though she's skilled more than most government agents. I wonder how many US agencies have tried to recruit her since she graduated. I'm sure they are willing to waiver those pesky educational requirements. It's just a piece of paper.
Speaking of job offers, GJ had given me one. Personally from Director Betty. She had said I would get access to some of the alien tech they had been allowed to keep after dealing with the US government. It was a good way to sweeten the deal. I was going to accept it. I couldn't deny it since I was still blacklisted by all US governments since my really early days of hacking. I was lucky not to be in jail for those things I did.
I had seen some other people had been offered positions, like Kim. She had not talked to me about it but I knew she was going to accept it. She had already been working with them for years and I knew Director Betty had her eyes on Kim. Kim was going to get a lot of preferential treatment in the agency. Access to new weapons and highly-coveted training that most agents would have to earn to get. I knew she was going to face some scorn from older members, like Will Du. Especially Will Du, even though he was not even a full-fledged agent yet. How did he even get in? I didn't find any records of him, but not surprising since he was underage for such an agency.
It was time to accept Director Betty's offer. Who knows what else I would find hidden by GJ? I'm sure this was going to be one of the best decisions I had made. I would make my mark on the world through them.
Guest: Maybe not so much a love triangle, but some tensions that dense Ron doesn't see because of interest from other females.
