"That isn't even a challenge." Jack scoffed, cockily. It was times like these the white haired boy honestly doubted the intelligence of his friend, Hiccup. Somehow, the valedictorian seemed so hopelessly naive.

Hiccup rolled his eyes in response to Jack's remark. However, a small smile seemed to form on his lips.

Now it was Jack's turn to roll his eyes. "Why are you smiling?" The boy laughed. "You're about to owe me free lunch for two weeks."

Only a few of their mutual friends had come to watch: Kristoff, Merideth, Flynn, and Rapunzel. Honestly, this was going to be too easy. Jack would get free lunches for two weeks and all he had to do was a few basic tricks on his skateboard.

Hiccup was a total fool.

"Your ego is far too inflated." Hiccup laughed, seeming to read his friend's mind. "I'm hoping this will take it down a notch."

"Why would it?" Jack wondered aloud. Being on his skateboard only made him feel more self assured. In fact, on a skateboard Jack felt invincible.

The boy smiled in return. "You might get nervous. There are people watching."

"I think you're confusing the two of us." Hiccup really was being clueless. "I don't get nervous."

Jack stood up a little straightener to prove his point. The white haired boy loved attention, thrived in it even. It felt wonderful to be seen. Why would he get nervous doing basic tricks of all things; he had been doing these moves for years.

Again, Hiccup merely smiled. Wait, no, it seemed the boy was actually smirking while peering just over Jack's shoulder.

Entering the skatepark through the door behind him was two girls. The first being the energetic, bubbly girl, Anna. The second was Elsa.

Elsa was a rather reserved girl. The spotlight seemed to scare her so it wasn't surprising she hardly ever drew attention to herself.

At least, Jack knew Elsa tried not to draw attention to herself. It really was impossible not to, though, when she looked like that. I mean, the girl was tall and slender. Her hair was the purest shade of blonde and her skin was so fair you'd think it belonged to Snow White herself.

It was more than that though. Elsa had the curves other girls dreamed of, her lips were full and luscious, and her eyes were big and blue. Everything about Elsa's appearance seemed angelic.

Moreover, what really had kept Jack's interest was Elsa herself. The girl was so studious you'd think she was born holding an encyclopedia. Furthermore, the blonde was driven and focused. That awed Jack even more than her goddess-like appearance.

The cherry on top, however, was Elsa's empathy. She cared so deeply about everyone, especially those lucky enough to be close to her. The blonde was the best friend Jack could have asked for.

Suddenly, Jack understood Hiccup's plan. This had nothing to do with skateboarding. The boy was proving a point.

Three weeks earlier

"Geez, you're spending another day with Elsa."

Jack chuckled slightly. "What? Are you worried she's going to replace you as my best friend?"

It surprised Jack when Hiccup began to smile widely, bursting into a fit of laughter. The boy clutched his stomach, unable to stop.

"Best friend?" He laughed some more. "You're practically in love with her, worshipping the very ground she walks on! All I hear anymore is about how amazing she is and how pretty she looked today and blah blah blah."

The boy turned crimson. "I do not love her!" Jack spat back. "She's just a great friend."

"Then how come you turn into a nervous wreck around her?"

"I do not!" Jack huffed.

Hiccup chuckled. "You're the most confident, cocky guy I know so it's easy to tell when you're actually nervous. Elsa turns you into a flustered mess."

Of course, Jack had continued to deny it at the time, but seeing Elsa here made knots form in his stomach. Hiccup was an evil genius.

Not only was the little braineack using Elsa to win this bet, but he was also using this as a way to prove he was right about the girl making Jack nervous.

It won't work, Jack told himself. He had to focus. So what if Elsa was watching? This would be a good chance to impress her. That's what he wanted to do after all, wasn't it? Hiccup's plan would fail.

"Hey, Jack."

The boy froze, his heart nearly stopping at the sound of her delicate voice. Shit. "Oh, uh, hey Elsa." He sounded so awkward.

Elsa was wearing a tight blue tank top and tiny little shorts. Damn, she was even more of a distraction today than usual.

"I just wanted to wish you luck." The girl smiled sweetly. She was an angel.

Jack felt his hand move to rub the nape of his neck. Be confident. "I don't need it?" It came out sounding like more of a question. "I mean, uh, well, I probably can do this."

The blonde giggled. "You have been practicing these moves for awhile now, huh?" The girl looked off in the distance for a moment, seeming to be thinking. "I wonder why Hiccup would give you a challenge like this. It seems to play off your strengths."

If only Elsa knew that she was his weakness. "Well, he knows I'm rusty." Jack hoped this would make him seem less pathetic if he blew this.

The girl's face grew concerned. "What?" She asked. "You shouldn't do it then. I mean, what if you get hurt? I don't want to scare you or anything but there are so many ways to get injured at a skatepark."

Gosh, she was adorable. "Thanks, I'll be okay though." Jack smiled slightly, feeling more confident.

"Come on man!" Hiccup yelled from across the park. "It's already 3:24!"

It was now or never.

Jack headed over on his skateboard and did a quick ollie: that was the first part. After that, he skated around a bit, grinding on the bar there.

It was only then that he caught Elsa's gaze. She was watching him so intensely, her eyes set purely on him.

The boy suddenly felt a bit flustered, feeling slight heat rising to his face. Attention is good, he reminded himself.

He headed up the ramp to do a bit more difficult move: a flip trick. Okay, yes, he was doing fine. The boy could pull this off.

He glanced again at Elsa. She looked impressed and there was only one last move he needed to do.

Jack headed towards the half pipe. However, he wasn't focused on skating and Jack knew he needed to concentrate for this one. What would Elsa think if he fell?

Jack felt his face grow warm again at the thought of her. Just one last move.

The wind rushed through Jack's hair as he headed down the pipe. He reached the top, did a quick 180 and then it was all over.

"I won the bet." He turned to Hiccup. "Ha! I won the bet!"

Hiccup began scratching his head. "I was so sure." The boy began mumbling. "I thought for sure it'd mess you up."

As the boy continued to rant, Jack noticed Hiccup's voice was getting increasingly louder, attracting more and more attention from their group.

"You're always so nervous around her. I thought inviting Els-"

"No!" Jack suddenly shouted. The boy began rushing towards his best friend.

However, Jack completely forgot about the skateboard directly in front of him and toppled over it, hitting his head in the process. He felt the world began spinning as it grew increasingly darker.

"Jack, are you okay?" He heard someone yell.

The boy didn't answer, he didn't have the strength to. Instead, he just shut his eyes for a moment.

"Jack!"

"You shouldn't have done that, Hiccup."

"Yeah!" Someone, Rapunzel maybe, chimed in. "He was rushing over to stop you."

Jack could hear everything still but didn't have the energy to join in. He just needed a moment for his head to stop pounding.

"I don't understand what happened?" That voice belonged to Elsa; Jack was sure of it.

"You wouldn't."

"You can be so clueless, Elsa."

"Yeah, it's clear Jack has a crush on you."

Even in his state, Jack felt his face turn red. God, how hard had he hit his head? He couldn't get up. Why were they gossiping instead of helping him?

"He's fine." Hiccup suddenly blurted out. "He's conscious. We'll just need to make sure he doesn't have a concussion or whatever."

"How can you tell he's conscious?"

The boy laughed. "Just look closely at his face."

"Oh, he's blushing." Anna observed.

This situation was mortifying, to say the least. He thought falling was going to be the worst of his humiliation but boy was he wrong.

Jack felt his lips move enough for him to groan slightly.

"See, what'd I tell you?" Hiccup chuckled.

The white haired boy felt a cool pair of hands touch his arms, shaking him lightly.

"Why are you shaking him, Elsa?"

No one answered. Instead, Elsa just kept shaking him until Jack slowly found the strength to open his eyes.

Elsa was hovering over him, looking concerned. Meanwhile, the rest of his so-called friends were just discussing him like he wasn't listening.

"Are you okay?" She whispered.

"Physically, I think so." The boy couldn't believe the situation he was in, however. "I think I bruised my ego though."

Elsa giggled slightly, offering him a hand and leading him to the nearby bench.

"I'm sorry about the others." Elsa whispered, staring down at her fingers. "They were just being dumb. They didn't mean all that stuff about, well, me."

"They did." Jack too remained hushed so the others would not be able to ease drop.

Elsa seemed to hesitate a moment, pulling on the ends of her fingers. "Do you then?" She blurted out suddenly. Immediately her face seemed to grow red. "I just mean, well, are they right?"

The blonde looked down into her own lap once again, not meeting Jack's eyes. The boy knew if she did, however, it was likely he'd avert his eyes instead.

While Jack had long dreamed of ways to admit his feelings to the girl, this felt different, more real. His feelings were practically on display for everyone already; how could Jack add to his own humiliation with a confession?

"I-" The boy didn't even know where to start. Talking to Elsa already was hard enough, but to say the words he needed to say was nearly impossible. "I, uh, I think that you're really pretty."

"Pretty?" The girl seemed confused and almost a bit disappointed.

Jack knew he was blowing this. "No, I mean, well, you are pretty. You're not just pretty though." He drew in a sharp breath. "You're the most amazing girl I know and I think it's possible I might actually be in love with you."

Elsa looked up, simply staring at him in bildwilderment.

Jack couldn't stop himself from continuing. "Hiccup wanted you to come today because he knows I'm a wreck around you so he thought I wouldn't be able to skate." The boy was looking straight ahead of him, not able to meet her eyes. He knew his face was practically on fire at the moment, but he needed to say it all; he had kept it in too long.

"You're a great person. You always want to help others. You try your hardest. You're perfect and, I mean, well, gorgeous. I don't think you have a single flaw." The boy glanced at his lap, hating how shy she made him feel. "Sorry, I wasn't planning to tell you all this. I don't expect you to feel the same way or anything. You just deserved to know the truth."

"Jack…" The girl's voice trailed off as she flung her arms around him.

As both were dressed for summer, Jack could feel her skin against his own and the contact made his entire body feel weak. He wanted to be able to stay in this moment forever and never have to hear the inevitable rejection that was to follow this hug.

The pair turned to face each other as Elsa pulled away. It was then Jack realized the girl looked a bit flustered. Perhaps his confession had embarrassed her, though he knew it was nothing compared to his own.

"Can I kiss you?"

The question caused Jack to jolt in surprise. Elsa was staring at him, her blue eyes wide in what looked like excitement, a small blush still tinting her cheeks.

"Kiss me?" Jack repeated.

Elsa nodded, her eyes drifting down to look at his lips. Slowly, she began to lean in, seeming to make sure Jack had time to pull away if he wanted.

He didn't though. The boy closed his eyes, trying to make sure every part of his body was working properly. He knew this had surely caught their friend's attention but it didn't matter. He needed to focus and kiss the girl. Jack needed to kiss Elsa Winters.

Their lips suddenly brushed each other's. Unlike Elsa's hands, her lips were warm; not to mention, they were soft. Jack dared himself to lean into the kiss more, deepening it. He wanted Elsa to feel how much he liked her.

"Well, damn!" Anna's voice interruptted.

Immediately, Elsa broke away to admonish Anna for her 'foul language'.

Jack noticed there was still a faint blush on the blonde's cheeks, not unlike his own. Today was perfect.
