✍ : Hey everyone. This is MistressofDeath. Thank you to everyone who asked questions, from both this site and AO3, it made my days. And yes, that's plural. I had a bit of a roller coaster with the questions and interview stuff but I did get questions answered. This is my first time doing anything like this, so if I mess things up do not hesitate from calling me out. Now onto the agenda. I managed to borrow Rose for a while to answer them Come on, say hi.

💮: My name is Iris, A.

✍ : *blink* Right. Sorry 'bout that. You know two stories with two strong, magical, fem leads. Hehehehe.

💮: Rose complains too, doesn't she?

✍ : She's older. She had other priorities. she doesn't mind. Besides, I'm more careful with her.

💮: Right. Of course. *rolls eyes* Can we start?

✍ : Oh yeah. I introduced myself. You go on.

💮: A, they've read my entire life. I don't need to introduce myself. They know who I am.

✍ : Would it kill you to listen to me once?

💮: Would it kill you to not put me through so much angst? Not to mention the kids.

✍ : Honey, I'm making things better. Blame JKR for the angst. Anyway. Questions get started, please.

💮: *takes a seat and pulls the computer screen for better view* Alright.

Q: Does Iris have to keep getting her hair died or do the roots show? or is it a prominent thing?

✍ : Huh...it's dyed, darling. Sorry, I'm a bit of a grammar nazi. It's a pet peeve.

💮: Yeah, as long as they are not a part of your work.

✍ : I don't have a beta, okay? I spend hours editing stuff. Besides, human is to err.

💮: *rolls eyes* You are worse than Sokka. *looks at the screen and re-reads the question* I got them dyed at a Wizarding salon during wartime. I don't know what magic or spells or potions they use, but my hair and roots have been growing white themselves. It's pretty much like Yue's white hair, you know. It grows white.

Q: So, while you do like your new hairstyle, have you thought of going back to your original black for a short period? Perhaps, even as a disguise to throw pursuers off your trail?

💮: I don't know, to be honest. *Looks at author, who's staring into her phone* Hey, give me a hand here. Are you looking at hair color inspirations?

✍ : It's for Rose.

💮: She had a pretty hair color already.

✍ : It's for a new character.

💮: Sure...Anyway, help me here. Are you going to give me my black hair for a short while as a part of disguise or shit? Or am I to grow up with white hair forever?

✍ : Uh...do you want black hair?

💮: *narrows eyes* What do you think, genius?

✍ : First, thanks for calling me a genius. Second, lemme think about it. Hmmm...

💮: What kinda answer is that?

✍ : One that doesn't give out future spoilers.

💮: Oh...next question.

Q: So far, what are the two things that you would want to show Hermione and Ron the most out of your adventure?

💮: First would be my control over the elements for sure. Imagine how many heart attacks I can give people if I could bend water to look like a sea monster. Ron and George would love it. Kat's teaching me simple waterbending stuff. Toph's just kicking my arse, but I'm learning something from her. I think. Air is my weakest element, I guess since there's only one spell. I don't know. Fire is my strongest.

✍ : That might also have to do with the fact that you are a Leo which is a fire sign.

💮: I guess. The second would be the true origins of magic. Like no matter how back you go, there are no records of how magic came to be. Hermione would love this shit. Might I add, I'd also love to show that I can kick people's arses in fighting without magic. I think magicals need to learn that. Those idiots are too dependant on magic.

Q: Have you given any more thought to the other aspects of your necklace that might contain some hidden power aspects? Just want to get the train of thought rolling on that one.

💮: I most certainly have. I even asked Duova once if the necklace had any more importance than just being a pretty piece of jewelry. Duova, being Duova, said I'll find out its secrets when the time comes. Whatever shit that's supposed to mean. I guess you'll know when I know.

Q: I know that Neva must be really young for a Phoenix because she hasn't really exhibited any of the powers that phoenixes are well-known for. Has she experimented with fire travel or her healing tears yet? How about her magical strength? She must be even stronger because of her current climate.

💮: I suppose so. But here's the thing. None of us have been infected with a deadly poison so I, personally, haven't been able to test the healing tears. As for the Fire travel and strength, yeah she's quite strong, you are right, but she's also quite cocky. We are in the middle of the war and I'd like to avoid problems that could be avoided. She once found a super big branch and flew it from the woods to the camp. The branch was bigger than kid in all aspects. It was pretty cool.

✍ : Fire travel. You missed it.

💮: You wanna do the honor?

✍ : You are the witch, not me. I own two regular cats, not a phoenix.

💮: *chuckles* Well, Neva needs to mature a bit more before she could fire travel. I learned to apparate when I was 17. She's just a year and a half. It'll take time.

Q: What are some more peculiar questions that you have about the world you have found yourself in (aside from the tornado, energybender craziness, and other things like that)? You've seen a lot of unfamiliar things, so there must be some oddities that you can't quite explain yet.

💮: Okay, this one I'm quite confident about, I guess. So recently what started baffling me was the dating format. I asked around, mostly from Duova and apparently, the current dating system started after the Air nomad genocide; the current year being 100 AG. AG stands for Air Genocide and that's fucking messed up. I still don't know how they kept track of years before that.

I didn't really have issues with language but I sometimes still get stuck when it comes to reading it. These are Asian characters and scripts and the kids have been helping but I'm still struggling a bit.

Also, the animals here freak me out. If I didn't know better, I'd say that some kid just picked a bunch of random animals and merged them together. Seriously, Ostrich-horse? Poodle-monkey? Seal pengui-

✍ : Otter penguins.

💮: Tomato-tomahto. They are still freaky. who came up with them anyway?

✍ : *under her breath; mutters* Mike and Bryan.

💮: What was that?

✍ : Check out the next question.

💮: *raises a brow but does so anyway*

Q: What has been your favorite food that you've tried in the Four Nations so far?

💮: Hmm...I've never had Fire Nation stuff so can't say about that. Neither have I had Air Nomad food, with them being extinct and all, except Aang. I had a lot of seafood when I stayed at the Southern Tribe. And it was mostly boiled food or stews since we didn't exactly proper resources down there, like spices and shit. Northern Tribe had a bit of a different flavor, but, it was all the same at the core.

My favorite from down under was definitely Five-flavor soup. Gran-gran made killer soup. Also, Ashuna's blubbered seal jerky was...just too good.

✍ : Who's Ashuna?

💮: You never wrote about Ashuna? Mate, what the fuck?

✍ : I don't even know who she is! Was she important to the plot?

💮: Her blubbered seal jerky was famous!

✍ : Uh...jerky that Aang mistook for fuel?

💮: Yeah, yeah, the same. *rolls eyes and then looks ahead* but yeah, these were my top two from Water Tribes. Earth Kingdom food has more flavor and wider variety. Some of my favorites have been Egg custard Tart, hibiscus-root salad, Wagashi desert, and meat kebabs. Oh and Crab puffs too. They are good. *looks at author* What about you?

✍ : I'm a pure strict vegetarian, I'm afraid. I can't eat, like...95% of things you just listed.

💮: You've never had a piece of meat in your whole life?

✍ : No.

💮: Never? Not even once?

✍ : *sighs* A friend once tricked me into having a piece of chicken saying it was soybean and I spent the next 30 minutes trying to heave it. Turned out it was soybean and they were pranking me. Fuckers. Something I never told my family. So, no. Never had any kind of meat ever in my life.

💮: That must have been funny. *chuckle* The panic and fear.

✍ : Whatever, you sadistic bitch. you still got a few more questions. Just get done.

💮: *chuckles*

Q: You said you packed light, but it seems that it wouldn't be necessary if you had a bottomless bag... which you do if I'm reading your thoughts correctly. What is one thing that you have packed that you oddly enough haven't found a use for yet?

💮: I did not pack a bottomless bag. It was a regular bag. I didn't think that I'd even end up in a world with magic, or a place where magic was kinda accepted. Sharptooth later confirmed it. Like, a 50-50 odds, right. I do use expansion charms at certain compartments of my bag to keep the books mostly. But it is just a regular travel bag.

As for something I haven't found the use of yet...uh...oh yeah! my heels. To pack lighter, I just grabbed a pair of sports shoes, a pair of flats, and a pair of 4-inch heels and I wore the boots. Just to be prepared, you know. I couldn't wear my flats or heels on ice nor while I was fighting half the time.

Not to mention a couple of skirts and dresses I packed. They aren't a lot, I guess only 3-4 in total but again, this world is a bit backward and I haven't been able to use any of them at all.

Q: It's been a while since your ring has been mentioned. With that, what exactly happened to your wand? Does your ring have a magical storage compartment which keeps it safe? Has it been permanently merged to the ring?

💮: I don't know the exact specifics of goblin magic, since it is quite different from our magic. Sharptooth merged my family ring and my wand in one. I can feel my wand, its core, in my ring. I guess those two have been permanently merged. Uh...

There can be different focus objects, right? Mostly wands but some use staff. Think of my ring as a powerful focus that has my family magic and my wand, so...yeah.

Q: Have you done any customization to your fans? Or do you only want them to be kept as functional as possible so you don't get too attached?

💮: I have not done any customization whatsoever. Other than keeping them clean and super-sharp, there's none.

✍ : Do you want to customize them? I can probably figure something out.

💮: What do you know anything about weapons, A?

✍ : *nervously chuckles*

💮: I thought so. Please don't try to customize them only to end up breaking them.

✍ : Hey! I can do my research!

💮: Still. Don't. They are a gift from Suki. I like them the way they are. They are functional, they are not for decoration.

✍ : *scrolls down her phone*

💮: Are you listening to what I'm saying? I don't want customization!

✍ : *scrolling intensifies*

💮: Give me that!

✍: Back of, mate! and No, I'm not giving you my phone. And I'm not looking for fan customizations. *whispers* Yet.

💮: *nasty glare at A, before looking back at the questions*

Q: Did you bring that mokeskin pouch that Hagrid gifted to you on your 17th? Is it just in your bag? Speaking of, do you have a broom with you? It might be a good idea to get one of those in case of a flying or death emergency... That, or to just freak the heck out of anyone Iris wants to play a prank on!

💮: I did not bring my moleskin pouch or my broom. Like I mentioned earlier, there were quite big odds that I might end up in a world that doesn't have magic. I mean, *chuckle* imagine if I ended up in a world where magic doesn't exist. Or where magic is outlawed or worse, possessing magic would be punishable by death. I was not willing to take those risks. Or attract unwanted attention, which I tend to do a lot. And my looks at the time weren't exactly good for laying low. Still aren't.

I'm quite glad I didn't end up in a world like that, honestly. since I couldn't have predicted where I'd have ended up, I just wanted to be on the safe side.

✍: *nervously chuckles and closes the word doc with MerlinXHP fanfic on it*

Q: If Iris could have one outfit for the rest of her life, what would it be?

💮: rest of my life... a bit of a stretch, innit? If that's the case, I'd definitely like to have something that comfortable, easy to move in, manueverable. You know stuff I can train and fight in without having to worry about restricted moves or it tearing at the seams at the worst possible places...Something in black or dark color palette. And of course, stylish. Since its whole life is being talked about, so something definitely stylish.

✍: I can probably come up with something.

💮: Really that would be great. Be sure to add pockets. Deep ones.

✍: Trust me. I'm a girl too. I know what it is like to have those shallow jeans pockets.

💮: Nice. Also, try not to make anything like a skin-tight catsuit or something.

✍: Uh-huh.

💮: Are you listening to me?

✍: Uh-huh.

💮: *mutters* Why do I have a bad feeling about this?

Q: Who is the most annoying amongst all 4 of the kids?

💮: I'll be honest. They are all annoying in their own ways. But they've grown over the times. For the moment, it is Toph. She's new to the group, its dynamics, and how things work. So she's the one we all have been working on and she's quite hard to deal with it. I really wonder if it is the same with all Earthbenders or if she's stubborn supreme. So yeah, it's Toph for now.

As for annoying all time, it's Sokka. Guy's a genius and an overall smart man but also an utter dumbass. And a bit of a needy and clingy guy. Like a 'little' little. Also because he's the second oldest, he often thinks that most rules don't apply to him. He's wrong of course.

With Sokka, it's like...Do I trust him on the battlefield? Absolutely. Do I trust him to be a responsible adult? Yes. Do I trust him with my life? Yeah! But do I trust him to cook in the kitchen and not set the house on fire? Debatable. And do I trust him to not do crazy things, like drinking cactus juice? You guys know the answer.

Q: Which element is your fav?

💮: Energy, hands down! I get to manipulate all other elements without having the additional burden of being the Avatar. And it does come quite handy where other elements can't. So, yeah, energy, or whatever the fifth element is called in your culture.

✍: What about out of the original four?

💮: In that case...fire. As a Leo and someone who was sorted into Gryffindor, fire is the one I have most...uhmm...what's the word...comfortable relation with. You?

✍: Fire. *chuckles* Sagittarius here, so fire sign. Though I did take a couple of quizzes, Buzzfeed and all, I got air and water. Depending. Along with Fire. And as far as the Hogwarts house is concerned, I'm Gryffinpuff, which makes my elements Fire and Earth. Not really sure but if I were to choose, it'd be Fire.

Q: If Iris could have different colored hair, which one would she like?

💮: Probably black, yeah. I'm open to trying new hair colors, probably auburn or strawberry blonde. But they'd have to be temporary. Maybe I can even have some of those funky hair color styles that you gave Rose.

✍: Rose's rose gold hair has a certain significance.

💮: Does it now? *chuckles* Anywhoo. Temporary, I'd have to see what she gives. Permanent, I'm hoping back to my original luscious black hair.

✍: I'll make it amazing.

💮: Don't give me neon blue hair or something like that.

✍: You wait and see what I go in store for you. *grins*

Q: I am unsure if this has already been answered but I am super curious at what originally inspired you to write this series and (if it's not too many spoilers) what is the scene you're most looking forward to writing?

💮: Hey, this one is for you.

✍: My time to shine has come! If I didn't know better I'd say you all forgot about me. But thank you for not forgetting about me.

💮: Are you gonna answer it?

✍: Oh yes! Of course. Why don't you get back now that you are done? I'm gonna discuss spoilers and I don't want you listening in.

💮: *scoffs and then looks ahead* Well, thank you for those questions. Stay tuned to see what happens more in my future. And trust me, I'm in as much black as you are. So, Thank you and stay safe! *leaves*

✍: Now the question. *re-reads the questions as attention was not being paid the first time* There's this story on AO3 called Shifting Worlds by KittyCatGracey that actually inspired me. I would highly suggest reading that fic. It is shy of one chapter from being complete but it is too good. And I'm a decent sucker for a fem!Harry trope. So, I put two and two together. I mean I already introduced a nice Fem!Harry in universes like Teen Wolf and MCU so Avatar universe looked like a nice change.

As for the scene, I'm most looking forward to writing, it is what happens after the war. Like everyone has seen the show. We know what's coming. I might take a different path but the ending is gonna be the same as it is in such fics, mostly. But when it comes to what happens after the war, I'm gonna do something this that would so unexpected...oooh...I'm so looking forward to this!

Also, I haven't read the comics. I do have them on my tablet but I haven't read them. Sorry. So I'm gonna be skipping that entire thing as a whole. Not gonna touch it.

Q: Which character do you relate to the most?

✍: Surprisingly, I don't really relate to any character entirely. But remotely, I guess it'd be Zuko. We have quite a few things in common...uhm being the older sibling, the socially inept runt of the family. I got almost zero social skills and don't exactly have friends, which is why I spend quite a lot of time writing and drawing; On that note, please follow me on Instagram _wordsandbrushes_ and give me follow if you like my art.

Back to the answer, growing up, I had one distant parent and the other one was quite strict, quite high expectations. Things have changed in the last couple of years, pretty much ever since I became an adult. Also, I went through the 'discovering myself' phase a couple of years ago, when I was maybe 17-18-ish. So...Zuko, yeah. *nervously chuckles*

Q: Are each of the different sections of Avatar going to be separate books and will you be continuing the work up to that point? Will you also be including Korra as well?

✍: I will be keeping this till the show end and will be introducing a fourth book. There. Gave out a spoiler. And the books are going to be separate. As for Legend of Korra, I have a rough plot in my head. Though I'm not really sure if I would be continuing it. It would depend on my situation at the time.

I'm in my final year of college and this is going to be a bit of a hard time for me. Studies will take their priority. So it will depend on my condition at the time.

It was great answering these questions. Thank you to everyone who gave their inputs and I hope these answers satisfied your questions and queries. I'll see you soon with the next chapter in about a week. Till then, stay safe. hope you all have a great time ahead.
