Erik, Jane and Darcy are sitting at a table. Erik says that Thor committed a crime and he's in jail.
Jane says she can't leave him there.
Erik asks her why.
Jane says that he didn't see what she did.
Darcy says and shows Jane a picture in her book. the page reads 'Mjolnir'. Jane asks her where she found it.
Erik says he got it from the children's section of a bookstore. Jane flips to a page that reads 'Loki'. Erik says he wanted her to see how silly Thor's story was.
"It is not silly if it is true." Thor said.
Jane says the he's the one who tells her she should chase down every possibility.
Erik says that he's talking about science not magic.
Jane quotes Arthur C Clarke saying that magic is just science that they don't understand.
"That is not entirely true." Loki said.
"How would you know, you're not a scientist." Tony protested.
"He's right, it's kind of not." Strange said.
"Yeah, they're right." Wanda said.
"Any other wizards wanna make themselves known, now would be a good time, seeing as we already have Flaura Fauna and Mary-weather over here. " Tony said.
"Sorcerer." Loki corrected at the same time Strange said "Master of the Mystic Arts." at the same time Wanda said "Witch." Tony tossed his head back in exasperation.
Erik says that Arthur C Clarke wrote science fiction
Jane says that its a precursor to science fact.
"New game, take a shot every time one of them says the word science." Tony said.
"I'll play." Valkyrie said and pulled out a large bottle of alcohol.
"I was joking." Tony said.
"I'm still gonna drink." Valkyrie said.
"Where did you get that?" Loki asked.
"The Grand master had it on the ship we left Asgard on, I took it because I planned to drink it and go to sleep but then I was sucked into this place."
"Who the hell is the Grand master?" Tony asked.
Erik says that in some cases that is correct. "In some cases, yeah."
Jane says that if there's an Einstein-Rosen bridge then there has to be something on the other side and advanced species might have crossed it.
Darcy says that a privative culture might have worshipped people like Thor as deities.
Jane thanks her.
"So she can be helpful."
Thor is sitting in a room of one way glass, agents are working outside of the room. Coulson tells him that he made his men look like minimum wage mall cops and that it was hurtful.
"Oh, I bet it was." Rocket laughed.
He asks Thor where he received his training and lists off some countries and says that he strikes him as a soldier of fortune and says that certain groups would pay well for a mercenary like him.
"What is a mercenary?" Thor asked.
"Someone who takes part in military conflicts for their own gain." Natasha said.
Coulson asks Thor who he is and that one way or another they're going to find out. He leaves and tells Thor not to go anywhere. Loki appears in his place.
"How the hell did you get there?" Sam asked.
"Magic." Loki answered, knowing it would irritate some people.
Thor asks Loki what he's doing there.
Loki says that he had to see him.
Thor asks Loki to let him explain himself to Odin.
Loki tells him that Odin is dead.
Everyone glared at Loki. Why would he think it was okay to trick someone into believing that? Thor smacked him. "I'm still mad about that." He said.
Loki tells him that his banishment and the threat of war was too much for him. He says he tried to talk to him but Odin wouldn't listen.
"You didn't tell him shit!" Clint shouted.
"Because he fell asleep before I could even try and do anything!" Loki yelled back. "Of all the times to fall into the Odinsleep, this was probably the worst one." He said, softer this time. Thor had to agree.
Loki says it was cruel of Odin to put the hammer within his reach knowing that he couldn't lift it.
"That was a bit cruel." Steve said. "But I think it became an incentive for Thor to learn."
Loki says that the throne has fallen to him.
Thor asks if he can come home.
Loki tells him that a condition of the truce with Jotunheim is his exile.
Thor asks if he could find a way.
Loki tells him that Frigga has forbidden his return.
Loki winced hearing himself say that. Thor smacked him again.
"Heartless bastard." Clint yelled.
Loki says goodbye and apologizes.
Thor apologizes and thanks him for coming to visit.
Loki bids him farewell and disappears.
Coulson comes back into the room.
An agent holds a metal detector near Mjolnir.
A hand tries to lift it, it wont move, the person is revealed to be Loki, he just walks away.
"Loki?" Thor questioned. Loki just cleared his throat awkwardly.
Clint smirked inwardly, why the hell did Loki think he would ever be worthy?
Someone walks into the interrogation room and says that Thor has a visitor.
"Who?"
Erik Selvig is standing outside talking to Coulson. Erik tells him that Thor's name is Donald Blake.
Natasha sighed, he could have come up with a better name than that, remembering that it was the name of Jane's Ex.
Coulson tells Erik that he has dangerous coworkers.
Erik says that Thor was distraught when he found out SHIELD had taken the research because it was years of his life gone.
"He's gonna dig himself into a hole." Clint realizes, remembering that the name tag also said MD, he was a medical doctor not a scientist.
Erik says Coulson should understand how someone could go off like that and starts insulting the SHIELD agents.
"Oh please stop talking." Maria said.
Coulson says that that doesn't explain how Thor tore through security.
Erik says he's on steroids and that he's a fitness nut.
"He did not just tell them that Thor was taking steroids." Maria sighed.
Coulson looks over a computer shoes a picture of a fake ID, with a picture of Thor and the name Donald Blake the top of the screen reads 'Falsified Data'.
"There's the hole." Natasha said. Clint laughed.
Coulson says that the computer says that Donald Blake is an MD.
Erik says that he was and that he switched fields and became a brilliant physicist.
"But that begs the question: Why would someone transfer out of the medical field to become a scientist?" Scott asked.
"Yeah, that's not something that usually happens." Strange said.
Erik says that Thor's a man in pain.
Thor is still in the room.
Erik walks in and tells Thor that he's taking him home and calls him 'Donny.' Him and Erik walk out of the tent. Thor picks up a book.
"Why did you take a book?" Quill asked.
"I made a promise, I intended to keep it." Thor said.
Coulson says to keep Thor away from the bars.
Erik says that he will.
Thor laughed a little. "Why are you laughing?" Coulson asked.
Thor asks where they're going.
Selvig says that they're going to get a drink.
Everyone laughed. Coulson sighed in exasperation.
"Follow them." Coulson says.
Erik and Thor are sitting at a bar, drinking. Thor says that he had everything all wrong.
Erik says that it isn;t a bad thing to find out you don't have all the answers because it means you start to ask the right questions.
"That was actually a very wise thing to say." May said.
Thor says that for the first time in his life he doesn't know what he's supposed to do.
"Join the club." All of the teenagers say.
"We have pizza night on Friday's." Ned added.
"And on Wednesdays we wear pink." Peter added.
Erik says that anyone who's going to find their way in life needs to start by admitting that they don't know where they are.
"Wise words." Fury said. Everyone had to agree, they were very wise words.
Thor thanks him.
Erik tells him not to because he only did it for Jane. He tells Thor that he and Jane's father taught at a university together. He says that Jane's father was a good man but he never listened.
Thor says that he didn't listen either. He tells Erik that Odin was trying to teach him something but he was too stupid to see it.
Erik says that he doesn't know if Thor's delusional or if he's a con man but he doesn't care and he only cares about Jane.
Thor says he means Jane no harm.
Erik says he'll buy the next round and Thor should leave after.
"Wow Selvig really didn't want you near Jane." Sam said.
The bartender sets two beer mugs and two shot glasses in front of them. Erik pours the shot into the beer. He and Thor clink glasses and start drinking. The give a quick glance at each other.
"Did you just challenge each other to a drinking contest?" Bruce asked.
Thor nodded.
"I can imagine that it didn't go too well for Selvig." Steve said.
"Never challenge an Asgardian to a drinking contest." Valkyrie advised.
The bifrost opens and Loki appears on Jotunheim.
"What are you doing there, I would've thought you'd never want to see any of the frost giants again." Gamora asked.
He walks to Laufey who gives the order to kill him.
Loki asks if he's really going to kill him after everything he did for them.
Laufey realizes that Loki was the one who showed them how to get into Asgard.
Loki says that that was just a bit of fun.
"How was that fun!?"
Loki says it was to ruin Thor's day and protect the realm from his idiotic rule for a little longer.
Laufey says he's listening.
Loki tells him that he will conceal him and some soldiers and lead them to Odin so he can kill him where he sleeps.
Laufey asks why Loki won't kill Odin himself.
""You're playing him... aren't you?" Tony asked.
"I am." Loki said.
"So what was your actual plan?" Tony asked. He was getting tired of all of the double crossing.
Loki says he suspects the asgardians won't take kindly to a king who killed his predecessor.
"No I can't imagine they would." Valkyrie said.
Loki says that once Odin is head he'll return the casket and that can use it to restore Jotunheim to all its glory.
"I am Groot."
"Yeah, I got that too." Quill said.
"What did-" Scott started.
"He said he has a feeling that its not glorious." Quill answered.
Laufey accepts.
"Well, you shouldn't have accepted." Scott said.
Loki appears back in Asgard and asks Heimdall what troubles him.
"Wait so if he's the gatekeeper, who the hell is the keymaster?" Tony asked. The aliens all looked confused, what was a keymaster? "You people need to get pop culture educated."
Heimdall says that when he turned his gaze upon Loki in Jotunheim he couldn't see or hear him.
"How did you hide from him? you guys said he sees all." May asked.
"Loki knows how to conceal himself from Heimdall's sight, something not many can do." Thor explained.
He says that Loki was shrouded from him like the frost giants that entered the realm.
"He's onto you." Nebula said.
Loki suggests that Heimdall's senses have weakened with is meany years of service.
Heimdall suggests that someone has found a way to hide what he doesn't want him to see.
"Yep, definitely onto you." Rocket said.
Loki tells Heimdall that he has great power and asks if Odin ever feared him.
Heimdall says he didn't.
Loki asks why.
Heimdall says that Odin is his king and he is sworn to obey him.
Loki says that Odin was his king and that Heimdall is sworn to obey him now and tells him not to open the bifrost to anyone until he repairs the damage Thor caused.
"Or so you could cause even more damage." Clint hissed.
Jane is sitting in her bed reading when someone bangs on the door, she gets up and opens it, revealing Thor carrying a very drink Erik. Jane asks if Erik's okay.
Thor says he is fine and uninjured, he accidentally hits Erik's head on a wall. He apologizes.
Jane asks what happened.
Thor says that they drank and fought and that Erik made his ancestors proud.
Jane tells him to put Erik on the bed.
Erik says that he doesn't believe that Thor's the God of Thunder but he should be.
"How are you fine, but he's pretty much blacked out?" Tony asked.
"On Asgard our alcohol is much stronger so we have a higher tolerance, we also probably drink more." Thor says.
Thor asks if these are Jane's chambers.
Jane says that its a temporary living situation. She starts to tidy up the place and says that she never has guests and then takes a dirty bowl out of the cupboard and places it in the sink.
"Awkward." Sam said
She asks if they could go outside.
He and Jane are now sitting in front of a fire.
Jane says she comes out there when she cant sleep, when she's trying to reconcile particle data and when Darcy's driving her crazy.
A few people laughed.
She says she's g;as thor's safe.
Thor says that she's been kind to him and that he's been less grateful than she deserves.
Jane says that they're even because she hit him with her car twice.
"Which was hilarious." Loki said.
Thor pulls out Jane's notebook and says that its all he could get back and apologizes for it not being as much as he promised.
"You have made the woman very happy." Shuri said.
JAne thanks him and says that she doesn't have to start from scratch.
Thor asks her what's wrong.
Jane says that SHIELD is going to make sure that her research never sees the light of day.
The scientists glared at the SHIELD agents.
Thor tells her not to give up and that she needs to finish what she started.
Jane asks him why.
Thor tells her that she's right. He opens the book to a display of different planets and says that her ancestors called it magic and she calls it science and that he comes from a place where they're the same thing.
"I would very much like to go there please." Tony said
"Father doesn't take kindly to mortals on Asgard." Thor said.
At the same time, Valkyrie tried to say that it was destroyed, Loki covered her mouth, she licked his hand. "Did you just lick me?"
"Your hand was on my mouth." She said.
"That doesn't mean you can lick me." Loki said and brushed his palm off on her shoulder.
"Once you've entered my mouth I can do whatever I want." Valkyrie said.
Thor drew something on the page Jane asks what it is.
Thor says that her world is one of the 9 realms linked by the branches of Yggdrasil and that she sees it everyday from the images seen through the Hooble telescope.
People laughed.
Jane corrects his pronunciation and asks him to tell her more.
Thor lists the 9 realms and says he comes from Asgard. Thor and Jane are now lying in lawn chairs, Jane is asleep.
"That was a cute moment." Pepper said. Thor smiled.
Sif and the warriors three are gathered in a room. Volstagg is eating Fandrall is scolding him he says that their dearest friend is banished, Loki is on the throne and Asgard is on the brink of war. He says that Volstagg has managed to eat 4 wild boar, 6 pheasants, a side of beef, and 2 casks of ale. he then asks Volstagg is he cares.
"Jeez how much can this guy eat?" Steve asked, astonished.
"Volstagg loves food." Thor said.
Volstagg asks them not to mistake his appetite for apathy.
Sif tells them to stop arguing and says that they know what they need to do.
Hogun says that they need to find Thor.
"Not too sure that's the best idea." Rocket said.
"I mean, I'm all for it but yeah...a lot of things could go wrong." Quill said.
Fandrall protests saying that its treason.
Volstagg says its suicide.
Sif argues that Thor would do the same for them and tells them to be quiet because Heimdall might be watching.
The door opens and a guard steps in and says that Heimdall requests their presence.
Volstagg says that they're doomed.
"Are they actually doomed though?" Peter asked.
"It depends on what you classify as doomed." Thor said.
They are now in a different room, with Heimdall who asks if they would defy Loki, break every oath they've taken and commit treason to bring Thor back.
"Give them a break, man they just want their friend back." Ned said.
Sif says that they will.
Heimdall says that that's good.
Sif asks if he'll help them.
Heimdall says he is bound to honor their king and that he can't open the bifrost to them.
"So he wont help them?" Quill asked.
"I think Heimdall's saying that he wont physically help them, but he's giving them access to what they need to bring Thor home." Natasha said.
Fandrall makes a comment about Heimdall being a complicated person.
Volstagg asks what they're supposed to do.
Sif turned around and notices that Heimdall left his sword.
"Told you." Natasha said, though almost nobody doubted that she was right.
Loki is shown watching the four of them leave.
"Uh-oh."
They land on Earth. In the shield base, Coulson walks over to a technician and asks what it was.
The tech says he doesn't know and that they just got massive energy reading out of nowhere and tells Coulson where they came from.
Coulson says they should take a look.
"This is so intense." Scott whispered.
Erik, Darcy, Thor and Jane are all in a kitchen. Thor walks over to Jane with two plates, Jane puts some eggs on them, he gives the plates to Darcy and Erik.Darcy thanks him.
"This is oddly domestic." Clint said with a small smile. Natasha gave him a knowing look, confusing everyone else.
Loki is shown walking into the weapons vault, he opens the wall and the Destroyer steps out and tells it to ensure that Thor doesn't return and tells it to destroy everything.
Everyone glared at Loki, they wanted to hit him but Loraine said they couldn't physically fight and they really didn't want to find out what she would do if they did.. "Dick!" Clint shouted. Loki sighed and looked down, he does regret his actions, not that he'd ever let anyone know that...yet.
Sif and the warriors three are walking down the street, people give them funny looks. Two people are standing on a roof one of them asks if there's a renascence fair in town.
The other says to call it in.
"Shakespeare in the park?" Tony asked. Thor chuckled.
The man says that they have Xena, Jackie Chan and Robin Hood.
Everyone laughed at the nicknames.
Thor, Jane, Darcy and Erik are all in the kitchen still. Erik tells Jane that she has a beautiful theory but she won't be able to convince the scientific community of any of it without concrete evidence.
Sif and the warriors three appear at the door with smiles on their faces.
"To anyone who wasn't expecting that, it looks creepy. Just four random strangers appear at your door." Scott said.
Volstagg says that they found him.
Thor greets them and they hug.
Erik says he doesn't believe it.
Volstagg introduces them.
Thor says that he's happy to see them but they shouldn't've come.
"They shouldn't have but its a good thing they did." Thor said, sending a glare toward Loki, who pretended not to notice.
Fandrall says that they came to take him home.
Thor says he cant go home and that Odin is dead because of him and he needs to remain in exile.
Thor smacked Loki. Still mad that he made him believe that Odin dies because of his actions.
Sif tells Thor that Odin is alive.
"Shits about to go down."
Heimdall is standing on the bridge. Loki walks up to him. Heimdall asks Loki how he got the Jotuns into Asgard.
Loki tells him that the bifrost isn't the only way in and out of the realm and that there are secret paths that even Heimdall can't see.
"But that begs the question, how did you find out about them?" Gamora asked.
"I read." Loki responded.
Loki says that he no longer has need of the paths now that he's king and relieves Heimdall of his duties because he committed treason and says that he is no longer a citizen of Asgard.
"Am I the only one who's still really confused as to what the actual plan is here?" Quill asked.
"Explain." Thor angrily commanded.
"So you all know the original plan was to delay Thor's coronation, that changed when I found out I was a Jotun. I let Laufey into Asgard so that I can kill him, I sent the Destroyer to distract Thor, Sif and the others and I relieved Heimdall of his duties so I could use the bifrost to destroy Jotunheim." Loki explained.
"Why!?" Everyone yelled.
"You'll find that out soon enough." Loki said.
Heimdall says he no longer needs to obey Loki.
"Logic."
Heimdall pulls out his sword to attack, Loki pulls out the casket and freezes him.
Everyone watched with a mixture of anger and horror on their faces. Loki watched in guilt.
Coulson and a group of agents are at the site the warriors three and Sif arrived at and says to get someone from linguistics.
The sky starts darkening. Thor and his friends all walk over to the doors and look. The cloud touches down.
Darcy asks if someone else was coming.
"No."
The clouds blow away and the destroyer appears. Someone asks if it was one of Tony's.
Coulson says he doesn't know because Tony never tells him anything.
"I tell you stuff." Tony protested. Coulson looked at him, doubtfully.
Coulson picked up a megaphone and tells the destroyer that it is using unregistered weapons technology and asks it to identify itself. The destroyer stops walking it's 'face' opens and flames reside behind it. Coulson yells 'incoming' and all of the agents run for cover. The destroyer shoots at the cars.
"Jesus."
Thor and his friends are in the middle of the road. Thor tells Jane to leave.
Jane asks Thor what he's going to do.
Thor says he's staying.
Volstagg says that Thor is going to fight with them.
Thor says that he'd only be in the way or get one of them killed because he is only a mortal. He says he can get the civilians to safety.
"You learned your lesson." May said, sounding like a proud mother.
"I did." Thor said.
Jane says the she's staying if Thor is.
"Not a good idea." T'Challa said.
Thor says they need time.
Erik says he'll get them some.
Darcy tells everyone to move.
Erik walks into the diner and tells everyone to leave and that they can eat later.
Thor and Jane help a man put some kids in the bed of his truck.
The destroyer appears and shoots a building.
Sif and the warriors three walk up to it. Sif tells them to keep it distracted.
Sif and Fandrall throw Volstagg at it.
"Reminds me of get help." Thor mused. Loki froze.
"What's get help?" Valkyrie asked.
The destroyer knocks him away and then walks up to him. Sif jumps down from where she was and stabs it through the neck.
"Ok, its dead." Ned breathed.
"No, its not." Thor said.
The destroyer came back to life and reformed its body so it was now facing Sif. It shoots at the sky and Sif jumps off. The destroyer shoots at a row of buildings. It then shoots at the warriors, knocking them into a building.
Volstagg stands up and the destroyer shoots at him. Thor runs over to Sif, who is ducked behind a car. Thor tells her that she's done all she can.
Sif says that she will die a warriors death and people will tell stories about it.
"Warriors death?" Gamora asked.
"To die in battle. In Asgard it is the most honorable way to go." Thor explained.
Thor tells her to live and tell the stories herself. The destroyer shoots at the car and Sif runs.
Thor runs over to the warriors and tells them to go to Asgard and stop Loki.
Fandrall asks what Thor will do.
Thor says he has a plan.
Jane tells him to wait and the group around her stops and turns around.
Thor walked up to the destroyer. Jane asks what he's doing.
Thor apologizes for whatever he did to wrong Loki.
"How can you be sorry if you don't even know what you're apologizing for? And for the record it wasn't you who led me to this, it was fathers lies and about a thousand years of pent up rage." Loki said. "And I am very sorry for what I did to you and your friends." Loki said, quietly so only Thor could hear. Thor looked at him suspiciously.
"Forgive me if I don't believe you." He said.
"You don't have to. But I will say in the time I'm from, I have come to realize many things." He left out the part that he only realized those things because both of their parents are dead, but that's not the point.
Loki is shown listening to Thor's words. Thor tells him that these people are innocent and he'll gain nothing from killing them. Thor tells Loki to kill him and end it. The destroyers 'face' closes.
"Hey, you got through to him." Tony said.
The destroyer punches Thor in the face. He starts falling, Jane runs to him. Thor says it's over.
Jane says it isn't.
Thor says it is and Jane's safe.
Thor closes his eyes. Jane, Sif an Erik look over at them.
Loki turns around and walks away, the destroyer does the same.
Jane, Darcy and Volstagg look like they're about to cry.
"Wait, did you die?" Scott asked.
"Something like that." Thor said.
Odin is shown, still sleeping. A tear slips out of his eye.
The words Odin spoke to enchant Mjolnir are heard.
A few people made noises of excitement.
In the SHIELD tent, the hammer starts freeing itself from the rocks, it flies up and toward them. Erik panics and tries to get Jane away from Thor, she protests. The hammer flies into Thor's hand.
"You're worthy again!" Everyone cheered.
Loki turns around and so does the destroyer. Thor's armor starts piecing together around him. Sif and the warriors three share a smile. Jane looks shocked.
Thor throws the hammer at the destroyer. Then creates a cyclone thing. The destroyer shoots at him. The destroyer gets lifted off the ground and Thor blocks its next hit, driving Mjolnir through its 'face, killing it. It falls to the ground and Thor lands.
