Rocket, Groot, Gamora and Peter are getting food. Rocket says that they need to get to the watch tower of they want to escape.
"Not complicated at all." Scott said, sarcastically.
He says that to to that he's going to need a few things. He says that the guards have bands to control their ins and outs. He says that he heeds one.
Gamora says to leave it to her.
Rocket points to a guy with a prosthesis and says that he needs his prosthetic leg.
"Why do you need his leg?" Bucky asked.
"He didn't." Quill said.
"Then why did he say that-" Bucky asked.
"He thought he would look funny without it." Gamora said.
Peter questions it. Rocket says that he doesn't need the rest of him and calls him useless.
"You can't go five minutes without being a dick can you?" Clint asked.
Rocket says that there's a black panel with a blinky yellow light on the back wall. They sit down. Rocket says that there's a quarnyx battery behind it. He says that he needs it to get into the watchtower.
"Sounds simple enough." Natasha said.
Gamora asks how they're supposed to do that.
Rocket says that the prisoners find her attractive and maybe she could work out a trade.
"Really?" Everyone asked.
Gamora tells him that he must be joking.
Rocket says that he really heard they found him attractive. Groot walks up to the tower.
Rocket says that it's 20 feet in the air in the middle of the most heavily guarded part of the prison. He says that its impossible to get up there without being seen.
"And yet somehow Groot did it without even being noticed... until the alarm went off." Gamora said.
Rocket says that he has one plan and it requires a quarnyx battery. He tells the to figure it out.
"Angry puppy." Mantis says.
Groot takes the panel off and it hits someone in the head.
Everyone giggled.
He says that they everything will go into emergency mode once the battery is removed. Groot starts pulling on it. He says that they need to move quickly once they have it so they need to get it last. Groot pulls it out, alarms start going off.
"This is why you stay and listen to all of the directions." Rocket scolded.
Rocket says that they can get it first and improvise.
Gamora says that she'll get that armband.
Peter says he'll get the leg and they both leave. Rocket runs his face in exasperation.
Off screen, Rocket sighed and put his head in his hands.
A guard tells Groot to return to his cell or they'll open fire.
"I am Groot!" The drones start firing.
"Oh no."
Groot punches some away. A guard tells the prisoners to return to their sleeping areas.
"This guard is a whole lot less threatening than that other one." Sam said.
Rocket dodges bullets and climbs on top of Groot. Rocket calls Groot and idiot and asks how he's supposed to fight the things without his stuff. Groot thickens his branches as a drone gets closer, het hits it away.
The guard says that Rocket is in control and calls him an animal. Drax looks at him the guard.
"Animal?" Rocket asked, offended.
Drax tackles them, while laughing.
"You look like you're having too much fun with this." Maria said.
He throws a gun at another guards head. Throws one, kicks another, one punches him, Drax head butts him, then body slams another and grabs his gun. Drax gets Rocket's attention by calling a creepy little beast and gives him the gun.
"But wait, why does that not sound offensive?" Peter (parker) asked.
Rocket starts shooting.
"You guys like violence way to much." Steve says.
Quill is talking to the guy with the prosthesis. The guy questions him about needing his prosthesis.
Everyone laughed.
"Its not funny I had to transfer that guy 30,000 units." Quill said.
Gamora is running through a hallway. She takes out two guards, and dodges a shot from a third, and knocks him out, trapping the last ones arm with her leg and tells him that she needs the band.
The guard wishes her lick and tells her that its internally wired.
Gamora says that she'll figure something out and breaks his arm.
"Well... you figured something out." Natasha said.
Peter is running with the leg. A guard tells him to drop the leg. Peter puts his hands up in surrender. The guard tells him to drop the leg and return to his cell. Peter hits the guard with the leg and grabs his gun and shoots a drone, and grabs the leg again.
"Well at least it was sort of useful." Rocket said.
Gamora calls Rocket's name. Rocket turns around, she throws him the armband.
Rocket tells her to get to the watchtower. He hums as he puts his thing together.
"Yet another person who can be completely calm in the midst of chaos. How?" Shuri asked.
Groot moves closer, Gamora jumps to the watchtower. Peter runs to Groot, who extends his arms Rocket climbs up. Peter gets rid of the gun and climbs up as well. A drone flies over to him. Drax destroys it and gets Peter's attention by calling him the man who has lain with an A'askavariian.
Everyone laughed. Quill sighed.
Peter says that it was one time and continues climbing. Drax climbs up after him.
A guard calls for more guards in combat gear, an alarm sounds He turns around and sees the guardians. Gamora moves the man aside, Groot throws him out of the tower.
"Well, you seem to make a good enough team, aside from the fact that I don't think any of you get along." Coulson said. "All things take time." Gamora said.
Gamora sees Drax in the tower. Drax tells her to spare him her gaze and calls her a foul woman.
"You need to learn some manners, man." Rocket said.
Gamora asks why Drax is there.
Peter says that they promised him he could stay by her side so he can kill her boss. He says that he always keeps his promises especially when they're made to muscle bound wack-jobs who'll kill him if he doesn't.
"You say that as if it's happened before... which I guess considering, well you, shouldn't come as much of a surprise." Strange said.
Peter goes to give Rocket the leg. Rocket says that he was kidding about the leg and he only needed the other two things.
Peter questions him. Rocket says that he thought it would be funny then asks how the man looked hopping around.
"My god, you are such a little asshole." Quill said.
Peter says that he had to transfer the man 30,000 units.
Drax asks when they're going to leave. A drone shoots the glass. Peter, Drax and Gamora duck.
Peter says that Rocket has a plan then asks him if it was another thing he made up.
"Hoes mad." Shuri said.
Rocket says he has a plan.
Drax tells him to cease his yammering and relieve them from their irksome confinement.
Peter says that he agrees with Drax and calls him a walking thesaurus.
"Careful Tony, he might be coming for your spot as nickname king." Rhodey laughed.
Drax tells him not to call him a thesaurus.
Peter says that its a metaphor.
Rocket says that Drax's people are completely literal and metaphors will go over his head.
Drax says that nothing will go over his head because his reflexes are too fast and he'll catch it.
Everyone face-palms.
"Headfirst into the point and you still missed it." Fury said.
Gamora says that she's going to die surrounded by the biggest idiots in the galaxy.
"I feel your pain." Natasha said.
Guards and drones surround the tower. A guard fires a gun and it hits the window.
Gamora tells Rocket that they're ready for his plan and calls him a rodent.
Rocket tells them to hold on.
"You don't have time to 'hold on.'" Scott said.
Another shot hits the glass. Peter flinches back. Drax recognizes Rocket's species. He says that they would roast them on an open flame pit as children and their flesh was delicious.
Everyone surrounding Drax slowly backed away.
"Why would you just say something like that, dude?" Clint asked.
Rocket says that that's not helping. A third shot hits the glass. Gamora flinches away. The guard tells all of them to fire on his command.
"Oh no."
Rocket quickly turns off the artificial gravity, causing everything outside the tower to float. Gamora realizes that Rocket turned off the artificial gravity everywhere but in there.
"Smart."
He disconnects the the room they're in from the tower base and attaches the drones to it and flies them down. Rocket says he told them he had a plan. He flies them into a different room and locks everyone else out.
"Gotta admit, it was a pretty good plan." Bucky said.
Peter says that it was a pretty good plan. and breaks through the glass, they get out. Peter sees his ship and tells them to get to it.
Rocket says that the crumpled up his pants. He says that that was rude because they folded theirs.
"That is inconsiderate." Drax agreed.
Quill takes out his things. Gamora says that the orbs there and tells him to go.
Peter tells him to wait.
Gamora questions him. Peter says that they didn't put it back.
Gamora asks what they didn't put back.
Peter hands her his bag and tells her to get to the ship and says that he'll be right back.
Gamora starts to question him again. Peter tells her to go and keep the Milano close by.
"Tell me you're not going back for that Walkman." Sam sighed, already knowing that he was.
"I had too." Was the only answer Quill gave.
A door opens, Peter is no longer dressed in prison clothes. Some guards run toward him, he takes the out. Peter shoots him again.
"Okay so maybe you do have a bad side." Gamora relented.
The others are on the Milano. Rocket asks how Peter's going to get to them.
"Yeah, how did you get back to them?" Steve asked.
Gamoa says that he declimed to share that information with her.
Rocket says that he isn't waiting around for some humie with a deathwish and asks Gamora if she has the orb. Gamora opens the bag to find that the orb isn't there.
"You tricked her." Thor said.
'The Pina Colada Song' is playing. Peter is walking with the orb in his hand. He walks up to the guard that has his Walkman, he throws the orb at the man, knocking him out.
"Never take away a mother's gifts." Bruce said quietly. Everyone nodded in agreement.
Rocket says that they're going to get blown to bits if they don't leave.
Gamora says that they aren't leaving without the orb.
Quill is flying toward the ship. Drax tells them to behold.
The teenagers laughed at the phrasing. "He said 'behold.'"
Quill boards the ship, Gamora and Drax help him in. Drax says that he shows spirit and he will make a keen ally against Ronan.
"Thank you Drax." Quill said.
Drax asks him what he was retrieving. Peter hands him the Walkman. Drax calls him an imbecile.
"Thanks Drax." Quill said again, this time sarcastically.
"If only Drax knew the significance." May said quietly.
Rocket is taking apart things on the ship. Peter tells him that he can't take apart his ship without asking him. He points at something and asks what it is.
Rocket tells him not to touch it because its a bomb.
Peter asks if he's just going to leave it lying around.
"I agree, you shouldn't just leave explosives lying around like that." Natasha said.
Rocket says that he was going to put it in a box.
"What's that gonna do?" Happy asked.
Peter asks what a box is going to do. Rocket slides a bin out.
He takes out the present Peter's mom gave him and suggests that he use the box.
"You haven't opened it yet?" Pepper asked.
"I was..." Quill trailed off.
Peter tells him to leave it alone. He kicks the bin back to where it was.
Rocket asks what it is.
Peter tells him to shut up then points to something else and asks what it is.
Rocket says that its for when things get really hardcore or if they want to blow up moons.
"That thing can blow up a moon, and you just leave it sitting out!?" Bruce asked.
Gamora says that no one us blowing up moons.
Rocket tells her that she just wants to suck the joy out of everything.
"You guys have all sorts of issues." Rhodey sighed.
Peter says that he needs Gamora's buyer's coordinates.
Gamora says that they're headed in the right direction.
Peter says that she should start trusting him a little if they're working together.
Gamora asks him how much he trusts her.
Peter says he'd trust her more if she told him what the orb is.
"The tea." The teenagers whispered.
Peter guesses that its a weapon.
"It is, but almost worse than that." Gamora said.
Gamora says she doesn't know what it is.
Drax says that they should use it against Ronan if its a weapon and picks it up.
Gamora calls him a fool and tells him that he'll destroy them all.
"So you say you don't know what it is, but somehow you know what it does." Natasha said.
Drax says he'll just destroy Gamora and calls her a murderess.
Gamora says she let him live once and calls him a princess.
Drax says he isn't a princess.
"No." Rocket agreed. "You are definitely too ugly to be one."
Peter says that no one is killing anyone on his ship. He says that they're stuck together until they get the money.
"You're not that bad at managing situations." Coulson said.
Drax tosses the orb to Peter and says he has no interest in money.
"I just wanted Ronan dead by my hand." Drax said.
Peter says that that means there's more money for the 3 of them. Groot makes a noise. Peter corrects himself and says for the 4 of them.
Gamora says that they have an agreement but she'd never work with the likes of him.
"And yet here we are." Quill said.
She says that she'll tell they buyer that they're on their way and tells Peter that his ship is filthy. She walks up the stairs.
Peter says that the ship would look like a Jackson Pollock painting if he had a black light.
"Dude." Scott said.
"That's disgusting." Clint added.
Rocket tells him that he has issues.
"I agree."
At the Klyn, Nebula is questioning a guard. The guard says that he swears he doesn't know where they went.
Nebula says that if he knew where they were headed he'd have already told them. She tells Ronan that the Nova Corps have sent a fleet to defend the prison.
Ronan tells her to send Necrocraft to every corner of the quadrant and find the orb at any means or price.
Nebula asks about the Kyln. Ronan tells her to cleanse it because the Nova can't know they were there.
Everyone wanted to be mad at Nebula for working with Ronan, but given what background they have of the situation, they can't exactly say that they blame her, but they definitely didn't like this version of her.
Yondu is in the broker's shop. He asks if he has any cute little buggers because he likes to have them in a row on his console.
The Broker says that he can't tell if Yondu's joking.
"He's being 100% serious." Quill said.
Kraglin says that Yondu's being serious.
The Broker tries to show him more. Yondu tells the Broker to tell him where the orb is and why everyone cares so much about and asks if he knows who else might want to buy it.
"And there it is." Everyone sighed.
The Broker tries to talk but Yondu keeps interruption him with gibberish.
"That's annoying." Gamora said.
The Broker says that he can't betray the confidentiality of his buyers.
Yondu threatens him by making his arrow float and hover towards the Broker's face and asks about the buyer.
"Wait what?" Clint asked, in reference to Yondu's arrow, it was so cool.
The collector is walking through a room, a pink woman is cleaning.
"Isn't this who you gave the Aether to?" Bruce asked Loki, who nodded.
He greets Carina. Carina calls him master. The Collector asks if her people have elbows.
"I don't see what that has to do with anything." Steve said.
Carina says that they do.
The Collector tells her to use them and he asks if he needs to remind her of what happened to the last attendant who disappointed him.
"What happened to the last one..." May asks
Another pink woman is in a cage, restrained.
Everyone looked at the screen in disgust.
The Collector says that their guests will be there soon. Carina goes back to scrubbing the glass.
"Is he the buyer?" Steve asked. The guardians nodded.
"Tell me you didn't actually give it to him..." He trailed off.
"No." They said.
'Moonage Daydream' is playing. Peter is messing with his blasters. Rocket says that they're inbound. Peter joins them. They look at, what appears to be a giant severed head.
"Okay, what?"
Drax asks what it is.
Gamora says that its called Knowhere and it's the severed head of a celestial being.
"What's a celestial?" Bucky asked.
"A very powerful being, they are among the oldest in the universe along with the Elders, of which the collector is." Gamora answered.
Gamora tells Rocket to be wary because there are no regulations there. They head in.
