Ronan is meeting with Thanos. He tells Thanos that the orb is in his possession like he promised. Korath holds up the orb.
Thanos says to bring the orb to him.
Ronan says that that was their agreement.
"What's is he gonna do now?" Strange asked.
He says that he would bring Thanos the orb and Thanos would destroy Xandar for him. He says he wonders what he needs Thanos for now that he knows that the orb contains an Infinity Stone.
Thanos tells him that he should consider his current course.
"He wants more power." Thor said.
He opens the orb. Korath tells him not to and says that Thanos is the most powerful being in the universe.
Ronan says he isn't anymore. He takes the stone, sparks of power are released, he grabs the war hammer and puts the stone inside.
"And now he's going to use the stone to destroy Xandar, instead of Thanos doing if for him." Fury guessed. The guardians nodded.
He says that he will unfurl 1,000 years if Kree justice on Xandar. He tells Thanos that he is coming for him next. He ends the call.
"He doesn't seem very concerned by that." Maria said.
"He isn't." Nebula and Gamora said.
Nebul asks if he is going to kill Thanos after Xandar.
Ronan asks if she dares to oppose him.
Nebula says thats he sees what Thanos turned her into. She says that she will help him destroy 1,000 planets if he kills Thanos.
"My god." Natasha whispered.
Yondu is beating Peter, who is being held down by 2 ravagers. Yondu says that Peter betrayed him and stole his money.
Gamora tells Yondu to leave Peter alone.
Yondu says that when he picked Peter up as a kid the others wanted to eat him because they've never tasted Terran before. He tells Peter that he saved his life.
"He really needs to stop holding that over your head." Bruce said.
Peter tells him to shut up and says that he's been throwing that in his face for 20 years like its some great thing not to eat him. He says that normal people don't think about eating other people much less the victim having to be thankful for it.
"Honestly." Shuri said.
Peter says that Yondu abducted him and stole him from his home and family.
"Well, looking back, he was family too." Quill said.
Everyone looked confused. How!?
Yondu says that Peter doesn't give a damn bout Earth.
"How would he know?" Valkyrie asked.
He says that Peter is scared because he's soft.
Gamora tells Yondu that Ronan has an infinity Stone.
Yondu says he knows what Ronan has.
"Then you know that they need it back." Mantis said.
Gamora says that Yondu knows that they need it back. She says that he'll sue it to wipe out Xandar and they need to warn them because billions of people will die.
Yondu asks Peter if Gamora's been filling his head with sentiment that's eating away at his brain like maggots.
"He's such a dick." Clint said.
He sends his arrow to Peter's neck.
Everyone tensed.
Yondu apolpgizes and says that he needs to teach his men what happens to those that cross him.
Kraglin says that the captain has to teach stuff.
"Was repeating that really necessary?" May asked.
"Actually... yes." Quill answered.
Peter tells Yondu that he's throwing away the biggest score of his life is he kills him.
Yondu asks if its the stone then says that he hopes Peter has something better because no one's stealing from Ronan.
"And yet here we are." Gamora and Quill said.
Peter says that they have a ringer.
Yondi questions him. Peter says that Gamora knows everything there is to know about Ronan.
Gamora says that Ronan's vulnerable.
Peter asks if him and Yondu can take a mark down side-by-side like the old days. Yondu lowers the arrow.
Everyone sighed in relief. "I still want the arrow." Clint said quietly.
Yondu tells them to let Peter go and tells him that he always had a scrote and that's why he kept him as a kid. The ship gets hit by something.
"What now?"
Someone says that the shot was non-damaging. They look out and see the Milano.
Rocket says that Drax is on top of the ship holding a Hadron Enforcer. He says that it's a weapon of his own design.
"Oh you must be joking, this was your plan to save them?" Pepper asked.
Rocket says that Drax is going to tear their ship a new one if they don't hand over Peter and Gamora. He says that he'll give them to the cpunt of five then he starts counting down.
"You're a lunatic." Everyone said.
Everyone panics. Peter turns on the comms and tells Rocket that they're fine and they figured it out.
Rocket greets Peter and asks what's going on.
"Oh my god." Everyone sighed. This level of stupidity and chaos was giving them a headache.
The five of them are on the Milano. Rocket asks if they're going to rob the people who just beat them senseless.
Peter asks if Rocket wants to talk about senseless when he tried to save them by blowing them up.
"He's right, that was a stupid plan." Gamora said to Rocket.
Rocket says that they were only going to blow up the Ravagers if they didn't turn them over.
"You only gave them 5 seconds!" Everyone yelled.
Peter asks how they were supposed to do that when he only gave them to the count of 5.
Rocket says that they didn't have time to work out the minutiae of the plan. Then says that this is what they get for acting altruistically.
"I am Groot." Rocket agrees that they're ungrateful.
"Ungrateful? You tried to blow us up!" Quill yelled.
Gamora says that they need to get the Ravagers to help them save Xandar.
Rocket asks if they're supposed to give the stone to Yondu so he can give it to someone worse.
"I really hope you didn't give it to that blue lunatic." Tony said.
Peter says that they'll figure that out later.
Gamora says that they have to stop Ronan.
Rocket asks how.
Peter says that he has a plan.
"It better be one hell of a plan." Bucky said.
Rocket asks if he has a plan.
Peter says that he does.
Rocket says that Peter is copying him from when he said that he had a plan.
Peter says he isn't because people say it all the time and it isn't a unique thing to say.
"He's right." Steve said. "You cant just coin that phrase."
Rocket says he doesn't believe that Peter has a plan.
Peter says that he has part of a plan.
Drax asks what percentage of a plan he has.
"You have no room to talk." Strange said.
Gamora tells him that he isn't allowed to ask questions after what he did on Knowhere.
Drax says that he saved Peter.
"Technically... you tried to blow them up." Scott said.
Peter says that they've established that blowing up the ship he's on doesn't count as saving him.
Drax asks when they established that.
Peter says that they established it 3 seconds ago.
Drax says that he wasn't listening he was thinking of something else.
"You are officially the most irritating group of people ever. All you do is argue with each other." Natasha said. "Excluding Gamora." She added. "And maybe Groot."
Rocket says that Gamora is right and Drax doesn't get an opinion. He asks Peter what percentage of a plan he has.
Peter says he has 12% of a plan.
"That is not a plan, that's a very vague intention." Bucky said.
Rocket laughs. Peter says that that's a fake laugh.
"Yeah no shit."
Rocket says it's the most real authentic laugh of his life because that isn't a plan.
Gamora says that it's barely a concept.
Peter asks if she's taking their side.
"But they're right, you need to have at least 35% of a thought for it to be considered a plan." Sam said.
"I am Groot." Rocket asks so what if its better than 11% and asks what that has to do with anything.
Peter thanks Groot and says that he's the only one of them who has a clue. Groot chews a leaf on his shoulder.
Everyone, once again, face palmed.
Peter says that Yondu is going to be there in 2 seconds and he's expecting to hear this big plan of theirs. He says he needs their help and says that he sees losers when he looks around at all of them.
Everyone started snickering.
"You know what I mean." Quill said.
Peter says that he means people who have lost stuff. He says that they've lost homes, families and normal lives. He says that life usually takes more than it gives but today its giving them a chance.
"I'm liking where this is going." Scott said.
Drax asks what it's giving them a chance to do.
Peter says it's giving them a chance to give a shit and not run away. Peter says that he isn't going to stand by and watch as Ronan kills billions of innocent people.
"He could give you a run for your money." Sam told Steve, jokingly.
Rocket tells Peter that stopping Ronan is impossible and he's asking them to die.
Peter says that he guesses he is. He turns around defeated.
"Don't give up now, you were doing so well." May said.
Gamora stands and says that she has spent most of her life surrounded by her enemies and she would be honored to die amongst her friends.
"That's a nice sentiment." Natasha said.
Drax stands and tells Peter that he is an honorable man and he's be happy to fight beside him. He says he will see his wife and daughter again in the end.
"Or avenge them." Steve said.
Groot stands. "I am Groot." They all turn to look at rocket. Rocket says that he doesn't have a long lifespan anyway. He stands and asks if they're happy. He says that they're all standing up now and calls them a bunch of jackasses standing in a circle.
Everyone laughed.
"Way to ruin a moment." Hope said.
'Cherry bomb' starts playing. Gamora says that the stone reacts to organic matter and the bigger the target the bigger the power surge will be.
Peter says that all Ronan needs to do is touch the stone to the surface and everything will die.
"So all you need to do is make sure that the stone never touches the surface." Howard said.
"That's the gist, yeah." Quill said.
Peter says that Rocket will lead a team to blow a hole in the Dark Aster's hull then theirs' and Yondu's will enter.
"And a real plan is coming together." Sam said.
Kraglin says that there will be hundreds of Sakaaran soldiers.
Drax says that he thinks of Sakaarans as paper people.
"They are... only the natives though." Valkyrie said. Loki agreed.
Gamora says that once they're on board Ronan will isolate himself behind security doors and she can disable them.
Peter says that they'll get to the flight deck and he'll use the Hadron Enforcer to kill Ronan.
"So Rocket's weapon came in useful... good to know." Rhodey said.
Gamor says that they'll retrieve the stone when Ronan is dead. She passes out orbs and says to use those to contain the stone because it will kill them if they touch it.
"Pleasant."
Peter says that he'll contact the officers who arrested them and hopes that they'll believe them and help.
"Are you sure that that's a good idea?" Bruce asked.
Rocket points to a man with a cybernetic eye and says that they need his eye to complete the plan.
Peter says that they don't need the man's eye.
Rocket starts snickering and says that he needs it because it's important to him.
"What is it with you and prosthetics?" Shuri asked.
They fly toward Xandar. Someone says that Ronan's fleets been spotted and it'll arrive in 15 minutes.
Yondu reminds Peter that he'll get the stone at the end of this and tells him that he'll kill them if he crosses him.
"This guy is full of empty threats. He's threatened to kill you... three times now? And yet you're still alive." Clint said.
The song starts again. The guardians walks through the hallway, one joining at a time, all wearing ravager clothes.
"I feel like that would have been more badass if Rocket hadn't adjusted his pants, Quill hadn't wiped his nose and Gamora hadn't yawned." Peter said.
Yondu is in a pilots' chair, random things are on the console.
"He bought the frog." May laughed.
Ships start departing. Gamora says that this is a terrible plan.
Peter reminds her that she's the one who said that she wanted to die amongst friends.
"It's true, you did say that." Drax said.
Dey walks to Nova Prime and says that he received a message form the Ravagers that says that Ronan has an Infinity Stone and he's headed for Xandar.
Saal says that it's a trick and says that Peter is a criminal.
Quill made a face.
Nova Prime asks if he said why he should believe him.
De says that he and his crew just escaped prison so they'd have no reason to risk coming to Xandar.
"He's right on that one." Hank said, why else would they ask the nova corps for help if they were considered criminals of Xandar.
He quotes Peter's message by saying that 'he says he's an A-hole but he's not 100% a dick.'
Nova Prime asks if Dey believes Peter.
Dey says that he doesn't believe that anyone is 100% a dick.
"I don't think that's what she was asking." Carol said.
Nova Prime asks if Dey believes Peter is there to help.
Dey says he does.
"Good."
Nebula walks up to Ronan and tells him that a Ravager fleet is approaching.
The ravagers approach the Dark Aster. A barrier starts to encase the Dark Aster. Yondu tells the ships to submerge. The fleet flies below the Dark Aster.
"So far the plan is working." Steve said.
Peter tells Rocket to hurry.
Nebula tells the necrocraft to dive because the Ravagers are beneath them. Three ships fire at the Dark Aster, Ronan releases a fleet of his own.
"That's a lot of ships." Mantis said.
Nova prime watches. SHe says that their main priority is to get their people away from the battle.
Everyone leaned forward in anticipation.
The Ravagers make a hole in the Dark Aster.
"Finally."
Rocket tells Peter and Yondu to go now.
As they fly toward it, Yondu's ship gets shot down he tells Peter not to play any games with him and says he'll see him at the end of this.
"Is he going to keep that promise?" MJ asked.
"Actually, yes." Quill answered.
Gamora says that there's too many ships and they won't make it up there. Nova ships join them.
Saal arrives and tells Peter that he's of the Nova Corps and says that he advised against trusting him.
Peter says that they got his dick message.
"Okay, out of context that just sounds wrong." Tony said.
Saal tells Peter to prove him wrong.
"Oh we sure proved him wrong." Rocket said.
Peter lands the Milano inside of the Dark Aster. Drax laughs. Peter shoots at the soldiers in the ship. Gamora says that they're just like Kevin bacon.
"Hell yeah!" Everyone cheered.
Nebula tells Ronan that the starboard kern has been breached and says that they've been boarded.
Ronan says to continue their approach.
Nebula says that the Nova Corps have engaged.
Ronan says that it won't matter when the reach the surface.
Nebula says to seal the security doos. As she leaves she tells everyone to get out of her way.
"You're so mean to them." Gamora said.
"Thank you." Nebula replied.
Nova Prime tells the Nova pilots to form a blockade and says that the Dark Aster can't reach the surface. The nova ships start making a net around the Dark Aster.
Everyone was impressed by Xandar's security system.
Peter, Drax, Gamora and Groot make their way through the ship. Dtax says that he can't see.
Groot releases a bunch of small lights. Gamora asks when he learned to do that.
Peter says that he's pretty sure the answer is 'I am Groot.'
Everyone laughed, to be fair the answer will be 'I am groot'.
"That is very useful." Natasha said.
Gamora says that the flight deck is in 300 meters.
Drax says that he wants them to know that he's grateful for their acceptance of his mistakes. He says that it's pleasing to have friends again.
"That's nice." Maria said. "Finally becoming a team." Coulson added.
He says Peter his friend. Peter thanks him.
He says Groot is his friend, and calls him a dumb tree.
He calls Gamora a green whore.
Gamora tells him to stop.
"He still needs to learn a thing or two about politeness." May said.
"I am extraordinarily polite." Drax said.
"And humility." May added.
Nebula finds them and tells her to look at what she's done. She says that Gamora has always been weak and calls her stupid and traitorous. Drax fires at her, effectively stopping her from continuing.
Drax says that no one talks to his friends like that.
Everybody smiled.
Gamora tells them to go to the flight deck and says that she'll shut down the power to the security doors.
Everybody looked pleased with the guardian's plan. So far, its gone off without a hitch.
Yondu picks up his frog. A soldier tells him to order his men to turn on the Nova Corps. More soldiers join. Yondu starts whistling, the arrow floats.
A soldier says to stop with the nonsense and says that its time for him to die. Yondu uses his arrow to kill them all.
"God, I want it so bad." Clint said.
"No." Natasha said.
Nebula pops all of her limbs back into place. Gamora walks up to her. They start fighting. Gamora tries to shut down the generator, Nebula stops her and they continue fighting.
