Hello everyone, and welcome to my first ever fanfiction. After nearly a month enjoying content from some of my favourite franchises, I am ready to present one of my own. It goes without saying, but I do not own Scooby-Doo or Ace Attorney. If I did, well... We probably would've had a new Ace Attorney game, that wasn't another re-release of the original trilogy, by now. I will try my best to update this, but my procrastination is quite shocking (I was meant to start writing this ages ago) so don't hold out on frequent updates (If this story is good enough to read). The current title of "PHOENIX WRIGHT: ACE ATTORNEY VS SCOOBY-DOO, WHERE ARE YOU!" is currently a working title, if you have any suggestions for a name, feel free to suggest it.

And don't expect too much out of these first 2 (Possibly 2.5) chapters. These will just set up the characters and pretty much nothing else. The story should begin to pick up the pace after around 2 (Possibly 2.5) chapters.

And with that, the crossover you never asked for and most likely never wanted will begin. Please enjoy, and thank you for choosing to read this story.

PHOENIX WRIGHT: ACE ATTORNEY VS SCOOBY-DOO, WHERE ARE YOU!

For so long now, Mystery Incorporated has been keeping things straight in Coolsville, The nearby city of Crystal Cove, and even in places around the world. Due to how well known all of their escapades are, the 5 members of Mystery Incorporated were local and global celebrities. While the team is usually busy solving a mystery, they've been working on smaller side projects. Fred had collaborated with Velma to write a series of books which documented many of the mysteries they've solved, Daphne started an online video series, with content ranging from stories from the groups times together, retellings of their best mysteries, (she also worked closely with Fred and Velma to get all the details correct, which had helped improve her web series, as well as getting details in the books correct), or videos based on her well known hobby of fashion. And to literally no one's surprise, Shaggy and Scooby had got themselves involved in many food related projects. The most notable of which was them teaming up with many global fast food chains and many other restaurants to create many of their crazy food concepts that Mystery Inc had to bear witness to, into real products that people could buy. Most of their actually edible concepts had become very popular menu items. and much to the surprise of many, most of their "Interesting'' food concepts sold well, as the occasional "eat all/as much as you can of the menu item" competitions. Despite the amount of side projects and the mysteries they had to solve, they would still hang out with each other and they would even attend many conventions and large group interviews. During interviews, conventions and even fan meet-ups, one of the many questions they would receive was

"Would you ever be interested in working on more intense or interesting cases even if they don't involve unmasking a monster?"

Every time, the answer would be something along the lines of "I don't know, I suppose we wait and see if any police forces require our services". And every time Fred or Velma answered the question with the same old line, the common thought from Shaggy was the same thing every time:

"Like that's ever got a chance of happening."

That was the thought that kept whirling around Shaggy's mind, on the day when Mystery Inc was contacted by the Los Angeles Police Department. Offering to carry the mystery solving group as official detectives. Despite the thought implanted into Shaggy's mind, he, and the other 4 members of Mystery Inc were ecstatic to have the opportunity. Not to mention, the Department had emailed them and informed them that a nearby Law Office had also decided to take them if they would rather do that. All the necessary arrangements were made, and after a week of finalising the details, Mystery Incorporated were set to leave for L.A in just under 2 weeks. Aproxximatly 10 days before leaving, Mystery Inc had one more mystery to solve in Coolsville. Which even for their typical person in a suit mystery, ended up being one of the most intense mystery to solve. Shaggy joked that Coolsville wanted to give them a finale mystery before they had departed to L.A. By the time they had everything solved, they had about 5 days to finish preparing to leave for L.A, most of the major packing was finished, but they had the last of the preparations to sort out, and they had to make the announcement to the many audiences that the group had. Fred was the one who made the announcement to the town of Coolsville. He and the rest of his friends were a little nervous to make the announcement, but everyone cheered when the announcement was made, even Daphne's viewer base were excited for this new chapter for Mystery Inc. The fact that the entirty of Coolsville was accepting of this made the gang feel the confidence that they going to need for this next chapter of Mystery Inc.

The night before Mystery Incorporated was set to leave for L.A, the gang decided to go out for dinner to celebrate a new beginning in Los Angeles. Over their starters, Fred gave everyone the rundown of what was to happen to the next day.

"Ok, Gang" he started. "The ferry we're aiming to get on leaves at around 6 am tomorrow morning. It would be best to leave for the port at around 4:30 am, in the Mystery Machine. I felt that a good old fashioned trip in the Mystery Machine would be a nice way to depart from Coolsville. Not to mention, the van is basically part of our identity, and we'd be bringing it with us anyway."

"How long would the trip by ferry take?" Daphne enquired.

"Roughly around 4 hours, Daph." Fred explained "The trip itself will be similar to the time we went to Australia by cruise ship..." With that detail added, Scooby slightly gulped, and Shaggy went pale. "...Without the random monster hunting on a stormy night."

Fred added. Scooby let out a huge sigh of relief with the added statement, While Shaggy said to Fred

"Like I totally wasn't worried, Fred".

"Yeah, Raggy was petrified" Scooby retorted.

The table let out a laugh, while Shaggy looked over at Scooby and said, defeatedly "Like, that was uncalled for, Scoob."

To which Scooby let out his signature laugh, as Shaggy finished off the mozzarella sticks he ordered as a starter, tempted to throw one at Scooby after the comment he made.

"I still can't quite believe the gravity of the situation, admittedly" Velma said.

"To be honest, I never saw this coming, despite the constant questions we'd always get about it." Daphne responded.

Shaggy added "I can understand that. Like, everytime they asked us about going into more intense cases, I'd always think that it was never gonna happen! And look where we are now, man!"

After a small laugh, Fred added "I know this is quite a big, yet all too sudden change, but so long as we keep doing things as we would here I think we'll be fine."

"Yeah" Daphne said, with a slight realisation. "If we just keep working on a case the way we usually do, then we shouldn't have much to worry about."

Daphne and Fred's words gave comfort to Scooby, who was slightly nervous about leaving Coolsville and heading somewhere far from his home. "That make you feel better, Scoob?" Shaggy asked.

"Yeah, Raggy!" Scooby Said, followed by a laugh.

The gang finished their starters, and eventually their main courses and desserts, while discussing the smaller details of tomorrow's departure. Even though everything was sorted out to a T, Shaggy was still heavy in his thoughts. He and Scooby decided to look into entering the law office that was happy to take the team as well, but Shaggy was worried that he wouldn't suit the agency. So in order to try and make a good impression when going in, while Scooby was asleep, Shaggy went out and bought a green suit with a red tie. As strange as it sounds, Shaggy's confidence went up, and his worries went down.

"This could be just what I need for this law office, a suit, give them a good impression, and see how things work out! I mean, I will have to let everyone know about the bar exam, but that shouldn't really get in the way." he said, thinking out loud.

Once Shaggy got home from buying his suit, he felt more confident, and also felt that he could actually get a good sleep. That was thrown out the window when he saw the time on his bedside table's clock. 1:30 am.

"Like, Damn! and here I was thinking I'd sleep well, Man!" he thought.

Shaggy knew his sleep wasn't going to be great so he decided to just lay on his bed, and see what happened. He laid there for just under 10 minutes before feeling ready to drop off, all the while, thinking about the trials and tribulations he and the gang would now be facing. The last thing he remembered thinking before falling asleep was the change taking place. He still wasn't sure how to feel about the situation. It was certainly a change, but Shaggy still wasn't sure what to think of the situation. Shaggy did know that one thing was certain.

To say it was a big change would probably be underselling the entire thing.
