Hazel and Mitchell talked the entire time although Hazel could not say what it was they talked about. The whole time she was thinking of how much she wanted to have sex with Mitchell and couldn't focus on anything else. She had never felt lust like this before and the more they talked the more frustrated she became. It came to a head when Hazel saw Annabeth, Estelle and Percy leave Ollivander's and begin walking towards them. She didn't have much time and just had to tell Mitchell something.
"… So I think that will be interesting, you know, seeing how Greco-Roman upbringing and training will carry over to instruction at Hogwarts, don't you think?" Mitchell finished with a smile.
'Here they come, he needs to know…' Hazel thought, then as Mitchell focused his power, Hazel blurted out; "Mitchell, can we talk about this more when we get back to the school? I'd like to talk more tonight, and I want to fuck you."
'What did I just say?' Hazel thought in a panic.
"Oh of course, I'd like that very much, I was hoping you were feeling this thing too," Mitchell grinned, knowing he had her now. His power never failed. If he could get Chase, the daughter of wisdom, to tap into her inner slut in a single afternoon, he could get Hazel, and he wanted them both. 'I smell a threesome coming on! I'll fuck this bitch while that dumb cunt Chase licks my balls! One night by herself and Annabeth will be ready to suck my ass if I tell her to.'
"Hey! You guys doing okay?" Annabeth asked as the trio took their seats around the table.
"Uh yeah, just, you know, tired from meeting with bankers all day," Hazel replied.
"Everything go alright?" Percy asked.
"Yeah, but bankers are the same everywhere I think. It's under control finally and the accounts are set up, but they are still assaying."
"Is that unusual?" Annabeth asked.
"I don't think so. Everything we deposited needed valuation and from what I've seen so far they are being fair in their assessment. The metals are easy, but when they get to the stones two different gemologists will evaluate each independently, and then average the value. I've stressed that low balling us will trigger a curse from my father and I think that will keep them honest."
"Ice cream. Remember?" Estelle grinned. She was quickly bored with this talk of banks and gems.
"Right you are!" Percy exclaimed. It was then when a waiter appeared and took their orders. The conversation was superficial after that, and centered on Estelle and her getting her wand. Although they didn't talk of it at the table, both Annabeth and Percy now believed that her wand was a gift from Apollo and based on what Mr. Ollivander said and the sparks she shot, a powerful one.
Hazel calmed down some as Mitchell stopped his lust control. He didn't want Annabeth and Hazel going off around Percy at the same time; Percy was quite lethal and might figure out something was afoot.
Hazel was mostly quiet as she wondered; 'Did I really just tell him I wanted to fuck him? What kind of woman says that? I mean, I do, but still you don't just say it.'
For whatever reason, perhaps shock at the way Estelle got her wand, Percy and Annabeth were able to at least act congenial for the time being. Each wanted to talk to the other about it, but not around Hazel and Mitchell, and certainly not around Estelle. Instead they talked about quidditch, since that seemed to be the biggest topic of conversation in the wizard world.
Of course, neither of them knew anything about quidditch, which made the conversation a bit confused and slow. Percy was more into individual sports, although he would occasionally watch a football game if one was on. Annabeth was into soccer, and followed the sport with some interest. As Mitchell had watched the sport at Beauxbatons for the last several years he knew more about it and attempted to explain the game, its rules, and nuances to everyone else, but it made little sense.
A few minutes before time to go to the Ministry, Hazel announced that she was going back to Hogwarts owing to being tired from dealing with bankers all day.
"You okay? Want us to take you?" Percy asked as Estelle frowned.
'No! We need to stay with Annabeth! You're being nice to each other! We have to stay!' Estelle thought, only to be rescued by Hazel.
"No, no, just tired. I have a portkey so no worries, I'll get there fine."
"Oh! Could I catch a lift? I don't think the media wants pictures of the librarian," Mitchell asked.
"Sure! Glad to help!" Hazel said, now appearing to be less tired that just a moment before. That wasn't lost on either Percy or Annabeth.
'Is that ho flirting with my boyfriend, why is she holding his hand? Why is he holding hers? What the fuck? Is my boyfriend fucking that whore? The same whore that's fucking my Percy?' Annabeth thought.
'That motherfucker is fucking Hazel! He's fucking my Hazel!' Percy thought, arriving at the same conclusion as Annabeth based upon their anxiousness to leave, their demeanor towards each other, and the looks they were giving each other. Because of their breakup and Percy's recent time with Hazel, both had become quite jealous natured.
'Get lost losers' Estelle thought.
"Maybe we should head back too Estelle, you can start on your books and…"
"Nooooo! I want to go with Annabeth to the ministry, it's supposed to be a really cool building," Estelle practically screamed.
"Since when are you interested in buildings?" Percy asked.
"Since… I like buildings! You said we could go to the photo thing," Estelle wept.
"Okay okay geez, calm down Sweet Pea, we'll go, but you have to read some magic tonight for, let's say, oh, one hour. Promise?" Percy said.
"Promise! Can you come read with me Annabeth? We can get pizza and we can read together like we used to!"
"Uh, no, I think Percy would like some alone time with the best little sister ever, but I will sometime soon, I would love that very much," Annabeth smiled.
Percy was actually impressed that the cum guzzling whore was thinking about someone other than herself and sucking stranger's cock for ten bucks at a truck stop for once, but Estelle interceded again.
"Awwww, please? Remember when I was little and you used to read Dr. Seuss to me until bedtime and we all snuggled on the couch? Remember? 'Oh the places you'll go?'"
Both Annabeth and Percy nearly wept at the memory of some of the greatest days of their lives.
"Hold up, wait a sec. Estelle, we both know what you're trying to do, and its really sweet, but times change and people change and, well, I know Annabeth, and I know I, well, we don't want you to get your hopes up and then get them crushed. So since this is ultimately going to one of those things where I get asked to decide so I can be the bad guy if there is one, well, no, that's not how its going to work. Annabeth can come over tonight if she likes but that's up to her, not up to me, and neither of us is going to promise it won't be awkward. And we're not getting pineapple on the pizza. Weirdo."
"Hey! I like Hawaiian style too!" Annabeth laughed. "Okay Squirt, let's see how we feel after the photo thingy. No promises."
"Okay" Estelle smiled, feeling like she had won a victory, She knew now she could talk Annabeth into it later; Annabeth had never been too tired to read with Estelle before.
"How long until we leave?" Estelle asked.
"Oh, fifteen minutes or so," Annabeth "Why?"
"Do we have time to look in that toy store?" She asked, pointing next door to a place called "Weasley's Wizard Wheezes."
They had walked by the store several times while searching for school supplies earlier and Percy, like Estelle, thought it was a toy store for wizards. It certainly looked like a toy store. Neither realized it was more of a joke and novelty store. Percy sort of wanted to go look himself, but he also wanted to talk to Annabeth to get any insight she might have on his sister's wand.
"Tell you what Sweet Pea, why don't you go check it out, I need to talk to Annabeth about some grown up stuff for a minute, but hurry back in say, ten minutes or so. We can come back another time if it's really cool," Percy said.
"You wanna talk grown up to Annabeth?" Estelle beamed.
"Uh, not like…"
"Hey! I haven't gotten to buy my BFF anything in like forever, here, pick yourself something out, is that okay Percy?" Annabeth said as she gave Estelle a small stack of galleons, hoping to interrupt Squirt before she said something that would set Percy off.
"Are you trying to spoil my sister?"
"Yes."
"Okay, just so we understand each other. Go on, get lost runt, just be back in ten," Percy said with a smile, a kiss on her forehead, and then turned back to face Annabeth with no happiness at all on his face.
Estelle trotted off, but stopped to turn and grin at Annabeth.
"So, looks like you were right about Apollo." Percy said.
"Yeah, I, I'm not sure what it means, but her wand sounds godly sourced, I mean, it looks like mine and from what I've seen, yours too, and the ash wood and celestial mane things he said, well... Estelle is going to need to learn some control. Her sparks were amazing," Annabeth replied.
"I need your advice, should I be worried? Seems like a lot of power, like giving a kid a Ferrari before they have driver's license." Percy asked. He couldn't stand her, but Annabeth was smart and might have some useful insight.
"Really? You want to know what I think?" Annabeth asked, surprised that Percy would care what she thought.
"Yes, look, you care about Estelle, I don't doubt that. You fucked up and hurt her but you wouldn't intentionally let anything bad happen to her that you could prevent I guess, well, you know."
Hearing that she had hurt Estelle broke Annabeth's heart, even if she knew she had done nothing wrong. Whether it was her fault, Percy's fault, or no one's fault, that was a wound almost too deep for Annabeth to bear.
"Yes, I think you should be concerned and you should have her work with Minerva this week as much as she can. She needs to learn some control or the first time she casts a stupefy spell she is liable to kill my new defense instructor. I'm happy to help but my teaching experience is limited to architecture students, and the one's I taught have been good in their field, but not as good as Estelle is in hers. They needed help getting better, not controlling what they had."
"That would be bad. Killing the defense instructor I mean. Hey, I meant it, if you want to come over and read with Sweet Pea tonight come on. I just don't want to become the bad guy with her and I appreciate you trying to give us some space. Honestly though, we've been pretty alone for three years so I think she would like more people around, it would be good for her," Percy said, "but…"
"But that doesn't change things. I get it." Annabeth interrupted.
"No. I'm sorry, it just doesn't. Too many tears."
"You know how Estelle feels though don't you?" Annabeth asked.
"Yes, she's made her opinion clear, but she's not in charge of that. I wish it wasn't this way, but it is."
"It doesn't have to be. You know how I feel too, look, I know you don't believe me and maybe you never will. We don't have to go back, we can't anyway. We could just go forward."
"Annabeth," Percy said.
"Yes?"
"Can we not talk about this?"
"Okay Percy. Okay."
