Magnolia Hospital

Elfman and Mest had been taken down from that tree, bandaged up, and left in this room to rest. Romeo, Lucy, Levy, Droy, and Jet had been assigned to not only watch after them, but to remain here just in case any Phantom Lord members decided to attack them.

Lucy just looked at the injured sadly. "Phantom Lord really is heartless."

Normally, Jet would jump at the chance to cheer the Celestial Wizard up; however, the Speed Wizard was staring out the window with his arms closed.

As such, Levy took it upon herself to cheer the girl up. "Lu, it'll be okay." Levy put a hand on her back. "Phantom Lord made a huge mistake because no one messes with master's family."

"I should be there." Romeo punched the wall angrily surprising everyone. "My team and my guildmates are fighting Phantom Lord as we speak, and…"

Droy put a hand on his shoulder. "Romeo, Elfman and Mest need us right now."

"I know." Romeo hung his head. "I just… I feel useless."

"Join the club kid." Jet replied sullenly.

Jet didn't know what would have happened had Minato and Kage not been there that night, but his mind couldn't help showing him those possibilities. Everyone looked at the Speed Wizard with concern as this wasn't like him.

Oak Town: Phantom Lord

Phantom Lord was particularly cheerful today. Sure, Gajeel and Gaara failed in stomping three Fairy Tail members, and while Jose had been harsh with them, it wasn't as harsh as normal. Still, Minoru redeemed that night by taking down two Wizards, so it hadn't been a total bust.

Three members of Phantom Lord were just about to head on over to Magnolia themselves when a dark, purple blast bust down the doors and slammed into the three mages sending them flying. Every member there turned to see Mira, in her demon form, walk in.

"Phantom Lord." Mira stated.

She immediately blitzed into the room taking down Phantom Lord members with true ease as none of these were anywhere near the strongest this guild had to offer. Fortunately, Makarov was astounding at mobilizing his guild when the need arises.

As such, they hadn't been far behind Mira, so they stormed into the guild. For a moment, they observed Mira sending Phantom Lord Wizards flying every which way. This quickly changed as they got involved in the beat down. Natsu jumped towards the left with his fists lit up.

Gray took the right, using his magic to dispose of anyone stupid enough to come near him. Erza and Kakashi went straight through the middle using a sword and Taijutsu, respectively. Couple this with the rest of the guild, and Phantom Lord was in for a tough fight.

Magnolia

Lucy had decided to get food for everyone in that hospital room and had invited Jet along. This was to make the rest of their team feel safe about letting her out and because she felt getting out may be good for the Speed Wizard's current mood.

"Hey, doesn't this seem like a beautiful day?" Lucy questioned.

Jet just had his hands in his pockets. "Yeah, I suppose." Suddenly, it began to rain. "Well, I guess it's not…"

He suddenly stopped and came to stand protectively in front of Lucy.

"Jet what's…" Lucy began.

"Just stay behind me Lucy." Jet declared firmly.

Lucy managed to look around him only to see a slender, teenage girl with azure blue hair, midnight blue eyes, and snow-white skin. She wore a sapphire blue coat with cream colored fur trim and a matching Russian Cossack hat.

"Drip. Drip. Drop." The woman stated as she walked up to them. "Juvia is the rain woman. It's always with me. What sort of people are you, pray tell?"

Jet knew this was one of the Element Four, and he had assumed they knew who they were. If she didn't, perhaps he and Lucy could play this off. Then, they could get their team and deal with this together.

"Me, I'm just an average citizen as is she…" Jet looked back at Lucy. "…right?"

Lucy quickly nodded. "Yeah, that's right!"

"It's a pleasure to meet you two." Juvia walked by them and opened an umbrella. "I'll be going."

Before she could leave, a young man with two-toned black and white hair tied up in a Japanese-style top knot walked into the alleyway. He sports three horizontal black bars passing across the ridge of his nose. He wore a reddish Karate gi with a sword at his side.

"Juvia, I hope you haven't forgotten who our target is?" The man questioned. "After all, she is standing behind a Fairy. Hard to miss if you're paying attention."

"Ah, sorry Totomaru." Juvia turned. "I was distracted, but I see it now."

"Damn it." Jet got ready to fight. "Totomaru's always been fast, but if they want Lucy, they'll have to go through me."

Totomaru displayed that speed as he seemingly vanished from their sights only to move to Juvia's side. "You know who we are Jet, so why don't you explain it to your friend."

Jet immediately moved to put himself between Lucy and them. "Lucy, they are two members of The Element Four. You're their target, so they've been sent to collect you." He glared at them. "No matter what they want you for, I won't let it happen."

Lucy dropped the bag she was carrying and grabbed for her keys. "That's means you're the ones who…"

Lucy was suddenly caught in a sphere of water which distracted Jet. "Lucy!"

Totomaru was immediately behind him slamming the handle of his sword into Jet's head. "Distractions are never a good thing." The Speed Wizard collapsed to the ground. "They make it far to easy to defeat you."

"Jet!" Lucy couldn't even move well through the water. "Let me out of here! Let me… out…"

She lost consciousness. Jet came to minutes later only to notice that the rain had cleared, Lucy's keys were on the ground before him, and The Element Four were gone with her.

"Lucy." Jet grabbed the keys before standing up and rubbing his head. "I won't let them get away with this."

Without even thinking of possibly going to get his team, Elfman and Mest did need people to look after them, he booked it straight towards Oak Town. He didn't care if he couldn't beat an S Class Wizard. He'd sure as hell try for Lucy's sake.

Oak Town: Phantom Lord

The battle raged on. With Natsu, Happy, Gray, Kakashi, Cana Kageyama, Minato, Mira, Erza, Alzack, Bisca, Laki, Loke, Reedus, and the other Wizards of Fairy Tail continuing to decimate the other wizards.

Master Makarov was steadily climbing the stairs to Jose's chambers when he called out to two of his Wizards. "Erza, Minato, I leave the rabble to you. Take care of them in the name of Fairy Tail!"

"Understood!" Minato called out.

Erza yelled, "Yes sir!"

Not even a second later, these two ended up back-to-back.

"One thing is for certain; they have a rather large amount of will power to continue the fight to this point." Minato commented.

"That may be, but Fairy Tail is equally as determined to bring this whole guild down for what they've done." Erza declared. "Let us not disappoint the master."

"I'm well aware Erza." Minato stated.

"I'm afraid you'll be disappointing that master of yours since I'm here." Gajeel declared drawing their attention.

"It has to be him… the Iron Dragon Slayer, Black Steel Gajeel." Erza muttered.

"You're the one who did that to Elfman and Mest!" A Fairy Tail member shouted angrily.

Said wizard immediately leaped towards the black-haired man to exact revenge. When he was within striking distance, a large iron pole replaced his arm and shot forward launching his attacker far across the guildhall and taking out Phantom Members in the process.

"He took out his own guildmates with that attack?!" Gray exclaimed confused.

"Heh, so which of you Fairy Tail scum is next?" Gajeel sneered.

Kakashi was suddenly behind him with his right foot cloaked in water as he kicked at Gajeel who immediately turned and counted with an iron club.

"Not bad, but no matter how sneaky you may be, my nose picked you up." Gajeel commented. "I don't quite recognize you."

"My name is Kakashi Hatake, and I have a problem with you." Kakashi declared.

"Really?" Gajeel smirked. "I think your whole guild has a problem with me."

"That's one of my problems, but you just revealed another." Kakashi gave him a firm glare. "Those who break the rules are scum, but those who betray their friends are worse than scum. Considering you've done both, that puts you at an even worse level than that."

"This coming from a Fairy Tail weak…" Gajeel began.

"Water Dragon's Rainy Drive!" Kakashi declared as he was cloaked in water.

He then got past Gajeel's guard and delivered a powerful punch to his gut sending the Iron Dragon Slayer flying. Natsu jumped into the air before slamming a fist of fire into Gajeel's face knocking him into Phantom Lord's bar as he landed next to Kakashi.

"Whoa, those two just knocked Gajeel around."

"That's never happened before."

"Allow me to introduce myself." Natsu had his fist on fire. "I'm Fairy Tail's Dragon Slayer."

Gajeel stood with a smirk. "You make it sound like you're the only one." He glanced at Kakashi still cloaked in water. "Isn't he one to?"

"Well, I got a few under my belt, but I won't reveal my hand." Kakashi replied.

"Kakashi, I want you to leave this guy to me." Natsu declared.

Kakashi nodded before charging at other members.

"Iron Dragon's Club!" Gajeel declared.

His arm became an iron club which slammed into Natsu's gut pushing him back.

"Natsu!" Erza exclaimed worriedly.

"You destroyed our guild hall and attacked Elfman and Mest." Natsu's hands were coated in magma as he threw Gajeel. "I'll make you pay!"

The added strength allowed Natsu to send him crashing through a beam before hitting the back wall and falling to the ground.

"His dual typing shows us who's on top." Minato commented.

Kakashi nodded. "It's one of the reasons I felt alright about him taking Gajeel on."

"I didn't think Salamander had grown that much." Kage commented.

Gajeel picked himself up out of the rubble. "Nice try, but I'm still standing."

"True." Natsu smirked. "You won't be for much longer though."

Gajeel rushed forward while turning his leg into a club and Natsu met it with his magma covered fist. "Do you honestly think you can beat me pyro?"

"Think?" Natsu grinned. "I know I can." His foot began to melt rather quickly to the shock of Gajeel. "After all, your beams don't do well against something even hotter than my flames!"

Gajeel returned his foot and noticed that his pant leg had been burned away. The Iron Dragon Slayer growled before jumping into the rafters prompting Natsu to follow. Once up there, they began going at it.

Upstairs: With Makarov and Jose

Currently, an enraged Makarov Dreyer stormed towards the body of his colleague with his magical energy raging so powerfully that the floor beneath his feet was cracking under the pressure. In contract, the man who sat on the throne didn't move a muscle.

This man was an elderly wizard with a wicked appearance. He was tall and slim with straight, black hair that reached down to his shoulders. He had green eyes, a sharp face, dark-colored lips, and a thin moustache on his face.

He wore high-collared purple coat with pink trim beneath which was a plain-looking shirt with his Wizard Saint's medallion showing around his neck. The most outstanding characteristic of his outfit, however, happened to be the bat like wings on his back.

"Come and face me, Jose!" Makarov roared angrily.

"My, look who's come to my doorstep on such short notice." Jose stated.

"Tell me why you're attacking Fairy Tail, Jose!" Makarov shouted.

"It's been a while Makarov… six years ago at a guild master's conference. I remember that day. I was a complete mess. I can't hold my liquor as well as the rest of you."

In a fit of rage, the leader of Fairy Tail sent forth an enlarged fist directly towards the sitting man he considered to be his enemy. Dust roared upwards from the point of impact, but the elderly wizard knew that such a small attack wouldn't be the end of this fight.

"I didn't come here to make small talk." Makarov declared. "I want answers." He noticed the image of Phantom's guild master flicker and give off a small amount of static. "A projection. I should've known you'd flee with your tail between your legs."

"Please, I simply wished to avoid a fight between two of the Ten Wizard Saints." Jose replied with cocky smirk. "I always have preferred a sensible victory without all the commotion anyways."

"Why are you hiding?" Makarov questioned. "Face me like a man!"

Rather than give a verbal reason, Jose decided to let a picture paint a thousand words. The tied-up form of Lucy appeared via holographic projection directly before the elderly wizard's eyes. This caused Makarov to become even angrier.

"Lucy!" Makarov growled. "Why?"

"Why, you ask? Well, I am quite surprised that she's in your guild, yet you still don't know." Jose crossed his arms. "Seems Ms. Heartfilia hasn't told you the truth."

A second later, he gestured his hand towards the blonde causing a magical seal, reminiscent of an attack spell, to appear. In just a moment, if it happened to fire, the celestial mage would have been disintegrated.

"No, don't!" Makarov shouted.

The master's distraction would prove to be his downfall as a large man clad in green robes with an orange undershirt and a piece of cloth covering his eyes appeared out of nowhere.

"What?!" Makarov looked back at him. "I didn't even sense his presence, so how was I…"

Ground Floor

From the highest point of the building, a body hit the ground like a ton of bricks drawing everyone's, even Mira's, attention. Makarov lay on his back within a small hole. His skin was green, and his magical energy was fading with each passing second.

"I'm so sad! Why do I suddenly feel so melancholy?! Perhaps it is because on this day the world has lost a great wizard!" A man sobbed loudly from the rafters.

"Master Makarov!" Erza exclaimed as she ran towards the defeated wizard.

"I don't understand." Gray stated fearfully. "I don't sense any magical energy coming from him."

"Wait, you mean he's just an ordinary old man now?" Kage asked concerned.

"That can't be right!" Natsu shouted defiantly.

"Children…" Makarov's voice called capturing the attention of everyone nearby.

"Gramps, what is it?!" Natsu asked urgently.

"Save… Lucy… captured by… Jose…" Makarov mumbled before blacking out.

Phantom's Dragon Slayer chuckled. He had yet to make another move, but he was enjoying watching the Fairy scum quake in fear over what happened.

"So, Master Jose told him what we did with the blonde." Gajeel sneered. "Too bad he can't do a damn thing right now."

"Yes, but it makes me so sad that he had to be dealt with in such a way!" The man wailed.

"Well, you're just as creepy as ever. Still, I got to commend you on taking down Fairy Tail's geezer, Aria." Gajeel stated.

"I only did what Master Jose ordered." Aria replied.

This defeat of Makarov rallied Phantom Lord giving them a second wind as they proceeded to turn the tables on many of the gathered Wizards. Three Wizards grouped up and shot a powerful combo attack at Cana who would be able to dodge it time.

Kakashi ran in. "Ice Make: Shield!"

The ice appeared managing to take the attack while he was sent skidding back to Cana.

The Card Mage looked at him. "Kakashi."

"Keep your wits about you Cana." Kakashi stated. "We're in the middle of a battlefield after all."

Cana nodded. "Right."

"The tides are turning against us." Minato took in a deep breath. "I'm calling it! Everyone, retreat! That's an order!"

Fairy Tail Wizards began to beat a hasty retreat while Minato activated Sage Mode using to punish anyone thinking they'd get in some cheap shots on his guildmates.

"No, I can't leave." Mira declared as he began looking around. "I still haven't seen the one who hurt Elfman. Where is Sand God Minoru!? Bring him to me!"

Gray didn't want to leave without getting his revenge either, but everyone else was. This meant he could either stay with Mira or get her to come back with them. In this moment, he knew her returned power could mean all the difference in whatever came next.

"Mira, you're strong, but you can't take them on yourself." Gray came to stand before her and put his hands on her shoulders. "Whatever comes next, we're going to need you. Please, come back with us."

Mira was panting before she returned to normal with a sad look on her face. Gray grabbed her hand with a gentle squeeze, and she squeezed back before nodding. The two of them ran after their guildmates.

Outside

The entire guild was on the run which Jet observed from atop a hill. He had wondered what the hell happened until he noticed Erza carrying their sickly-looking master. He wanted to get in there, but Lucy needed him.

"Speed: LV 5!" Jet thought.

The magic circle appeared below him, and he ran into the crowd, plucked a Phantom Lord member out, and ran away from the action with no one having noticed. Anyone from his guild that could were distracted, and none of Phantom Lord's best seemed to be around.

Once they were on the path behind the guild, Jet began making his intentions clear. "You will tell me where Lucy is immediately."

"Why would I tell…" The man began.

Jet brough him in closed. "I may not have a nick name, like a good few in my guild, but that doesn't mean I can't kick your ass." As to prove his point, he smashed his fist into the guy impacting him into the ground before picking him back up. "Am I clear now?"

"I don't know where she is!" The man shouted fearfully.

Jet pulled him close and looked into his eyes. "Alright, better question, and if you don't answer me with what I want to hear, I'll make you my personal punching bag. Where would you take your targets or a prisoner?"

"Our headquarters!" The man replied quickly. "Keep heading down this path, and you'll reach it. If I had to guess, that's the first place they'd take her."

"Looks like I know where I'm going." Jet stated firmly. "If I make it out, and she wasn't there, you best believe I'll be coming for you." He then threw the wizard into some destroy brick hard enough to knock him out before running towards the headquarters. "I'm coming Lucy!"

Jet had literally screamed that in hopes she heard, and he was now booking it up the mountain. He soon noticed Lucy, with her hands bound behind her back, falling from one of Phantom Lord's towers. The Speed Wizard knew that was her as he would not mistake her form.

"Jet!" Lucy screamed.

Thanks to his speed, Jet was able to jump up and catch Lucy before she ever hit the ground. He brought her in close, holding her bridal style, as they crashed into a section of brick wall. Jet made sure only he took the impact.

"I made it just in time." Jet declared happily as he looked down at her.

Lucy looked up at him. "I knew you'd save me."

Jet put Lucy on the ground, freed her, and started checking her over. "Are you okay? Those creeps didn't hurt you, right?"

"N-No." Lucy replied. "I-I guess I'm okay."

Truth be told, she couldn't really describe herself as okay given that she now knew why her guild had come under attack. Her father had been the primary catalyst for Phantom's actions. It pained her to think how the others would take this. She was concerned they'd hate her for it.

"Lucy, are you positive?" Jet could tell she wasn't telling him everything. "What did they d they do to you."

Immediately after the inquiry, Lucy broke down in tears. "I-I'm… so sorry… I'm so sorry.

Jet was both concerned for her and angry as Phantom had to have brought her to tears. "Lucy, why are you crying?"

Lucy didn't seem capable of making a reply, but hopefully she would explain herself on the way back to the guild. With that thought in mind, Jet picked her back up completely willing to carry her.

As they walked, Lucy seemed more capable of speaking, yet she still cried. "All of this… everything. It's all my fault." She looked at Jet in the eyes. "I don't want to leave. I want to stay with you guys because I love being part of Fairy Tail."

"Lucy, no one's going to force you to leave Fairy Tail, and if they did, I'd beat some sense back into their head." Jet replied firmly. "You're one of us, and Fairy Tail protects its own no matter what."

This only seemed to make Lucy cry more and prevent her from saying anything else. Jet wished he understood what in the hell happened in there, but he knew it would be stupid to storm in. Especially with Lucy now in his arms.

East Forest, Later…

Bisca and Alzack had taken Makarov to his old friend who live in this forest. Her name is Porlyusica, and she specializes in treating ailments caused by magic. She doesn't really trust people, so she lives in seclusion. As such, Bisca and Alzack were quickly kicked out.

Fairy Tail Guildhall: Basement

The guild had returned well before Jet, and were immediately met by Droy, Levy, and Romeo who were all worried that Jet and Lucy hadn't returned to the hospital room. Upon Jet and Lucy's return, everything was explained by the runaway heiress herself.

The mood had become even more sullen than it already was. Though they now knew the reason for Phantom's attacks, it devastated them to see the blonde blame herself. It was true that it had been inadvertently her fault, but she couldn't help what her father chose to do.

"Lucy, you shouldn't be sad." Jet stated in a comforting tone. "None of us blame you for this."

Ever since Lucy returned, her team had been around her trying to cheer her up.

"Jet's absolutely right." Levy stated. "If anyone's to blame, it's your father."

"That's even if you can call such a man a father." Droy had crossed his arms. "Lucy was gone for a full year, and she never once heard from him. Now, he wants her, and doesn't have the guts to come for her himself. No, he'd rather hire a guild to do it for him."

"I honestly do hate his guts!" Lucy declared. "Still, if I hadn't run away, none of this would have happened. The guild was attacked because of my selfish choices. I should just go home to stop this."

"Lucy, no place like that is a home for you." Jet declared firmly. "Your home is with us, and not a single person here would ever agree to you leaving when you clearly don't want to." He fished out her keys and gave them back to her. "You're a Wizard like us. Not some pampered princess."

Lucy accepted them and started crying again.

"Nice going Jet." Droy stated. "You made her cry again."

"No, don't blame Jet." Lucy cried.

Loke was off in the distance watching this. Cana was trying to see if her fortunes could find Mystogan or Gildarts since they needed all the power they could gather.

"Come on!" The Card Mage got frustrated and tossed her cards in the air. "I'm not getting a read on either of them which means they probably won't be back to help."

"Well, you tried your best." Kakashi stated. "We may very well have to make do with who we have."

"That's easier said than done." Cana sighed. "Right now, we got to many wounded to put up a decent fight. Even with Mira regaining her strength, we have a lot of opposition within Phantom Lord."

"There may still be help out there." Mira stated.

She walked up to a nearby communication lacrima and began operating it. For some time, nothing happened.

Then, Laxus appeared within the crystal. "Well, this is a surprise. What do you want?"

"Laxus, our guild is under attack, master is seriously injured, most of our members have been wounded in some way, and we can't locate Mystogan or Gildarts. We could really use yours and the Thunder Legion's help."

"Guhh…" Laxus grunted dissatisfied.

"Please, Fairy Tail is in serious danger." Mira pleaded. "If you won't come, at least send one of your Legion to us. Neji would certainly do, but we'd appreciate any of them."

"Man, Makarov is pathetic." Laxus sneered. "I don't see how this is remotely my problem. Deal with it yourselves."

Kakashi never thought he'd have to say this to someone in Fairy Tail, but this guy's arrogance could have rivaled Sasuke's when he saw him after that Kage Summit. It just kept bringing more red flags about this guy.

The former Shinobi stepped forward, and what he said next was spoken with a controlled anger directed at Laxus. "Back where I'm from, those who break the rules are scum, that's true, but those abandon their comrades are worse than scum." Kakashi had drawn everyone's attention.

You were content to say you are the strongest in the guild and the one fit to lead." He shook his head. "I would never follow a man who doesn't care about us. You won't come to aid us, that's fine." He sparked up his hand. "I already got your magic, so what use are you?"

That clearly got to Laxus. "You copycat bastard."

"My tittle is Copycat Mage." Kakashi took out a kunai. "Don't you forget it." He stabbed it into the lacrima before putting it away. "You know, maybe… just maybe… I was insulting Sasuke by ever comparing him to that guy."

Kakashi then looked at everyone who still had their eyes on him. "Maybe we don't have master, Gildarts, Mystogan, Laxus, or Laxus' Thunder Tribe, but we still have everyone who is here. Together, when Phantom Lord comes, we'll show them the strength of Fairy Tail!"

The former Jonin added a bit to the end as he held up the guild's symbol, and everyone else in the room smiled as they joined him. Suddenly, there was a rumbling drawing their attention.

"It has to be Phantom Lord." Minato looked at all the gathered Wizards. "We need to head outside immediately!"

Behind Fairy Tail: Cliff

Everyone ran outside only to be shocked as out in the water Phantom's headquarters stood in place supported by a series of mechanical, metal spider-like legs.

"W-What the hell." Natsu questioned.

"It's a guildhall with ginormous legs!" Happy exclaimed.

"I-Is it Phantom?" Loke wondered aloud.

"That's their headquarters Loke." Jet replied.

"I never anticipated this." Erza stated in a fearful tone. "I never thought they would go to such extremes to attack us."

"Keep it together everyone!" Minato stepped ahead of them calmly which made sense considering he had faced down a fox roughly that size. "We'll weather this attack and show them why we're in the running as the strongest guild in all of Fiore!"

His voice seemed to have helped rally the other wizards. The large, mobile guildhall ceased its forward movements a moment later allowing itself to rest in the waters just offshore from Fairy Tail's Guildhall.

"Attention members of Fairy Tail, this is Jose Porla addressing you from within the headquarters of our guild." Jose's voice called out from the speaker system the building possessed.

"You members of Fairy Tail have someone we desire. Surrender Lucy Heartfilia at once, and I promise your lives will be spared. Refuse, and… well, see if you can grasp the symbolism." Jose stated.

Upon Phantom's master saying those words, the centermost point of the guild's headquarters began to lift upwards, and a cannon-looking object emerged directing itself towards Fairy Tail's guildhall in a clear attempt to rattle them.

"It's the Magical Convergent Cannon Jupiter." Mira uttered fearfully.

For someone to even consider the use of such a weapon was inconceivable. This wasn't just something that went against the Magic Council. It was a crime that may have gotten Phantom's master a death sentence.

"You have no choice but to surrender." Jose declared. "Refuse, and you will be destroyed."

"Like hell we'd ever do that!" Natsu roared angrily.

"We'll never hand our comrade over to the likes of you!" Jet shouted.

"What kind of guild would hand over one of their own to a monster like you!?" Bisca exclaimed.

"Yeah!" Alzack shouted in agreement.

"You hear that!?" Kage roared. "Lucy is staying right here!"

One by one, each member of Fairy Tail shouted something along those same lines. Lucy almost collapsed to her knees, but she managed to stop herself and remain standing. Still, she was unable to stop the large streams of tears that fell from her eyes.

"Despite all that had happened, I'm still accepted." Lucy thought warmly.

"Then, you've made your choice." Jose sneered angrily.

A large collection of pitch-black magical energy began to gather at the tip of the cannon's barrel. It continued to grow, collecting more and more power with each passing millisecond.

"Everyone, stay back!" Minato shouted as he ran forward. "That's an order!"

"What are you doing!?" Loke shouted.

"I'm protecting our home!" Minato declared. "This is my family now, and I will protect it in the absence of our master." He wove some hand signs, and a huge, golden magic circle appeared beneath him before he held out one of his special kunai. "Trust in me to do this!"

"Minato!" Natsu yelled.

He tried to rush forward, but Gray held him back. "We need to have faith Natsu!"

The canon blast hit a network of magic ruins in the air before starting to vanish. This blast was comparable to a beast bomb, so Minato had no problem transporting it. That's not all. His extra years in this world saw him able to send it right back at the canon.

"H-He did it!" Cana exclaimed astonished.

Phantom's Headquarters: Main Control Room

"M-Master Jose, Minato Namikaze just hit us with our own the Jupiter Blasts!" One of the controllers exclaimed worriedly.

"I-Impossible…" Jose uttered in disbelief before becoming enraged. "Status report! Tell me what's going on dammit!"

"The Jupiter cannon isn't responding, and it it's too damaged to fire again sir." One of the men replied.

"I knew Namikaze was powerful, but to think he was capable of this." Jose commented in shock.

"Sir, while the canon was destroyed, the room containing Totamaru of the Element Four is intact, and he remains uninjured." Another stated.

"Tell him to maintain his position." Jose declared. "Knowing these Fairies, they'll see the destroyed canon as an easy access point."

Outside Fairy Tail's Guildhall

"N-No way…" Mira trialed off in shock.

"The Jupiter Cannon was destroyed." Erza said in an awestruck tone.

Before their very eyes, the barrel of the magical weapon was half its size as the other half sunk into the water below. Minato walked back to the group seeming no worse for wear. Hey, he was able to keep fighting Obito after blocking the Nine Tails Beast Bomb, so it was only natural.

"While what you accomplished is impressive, we can't allow ourselves to believe we have won the day." Erza stated.

"It seems the Titania of Fairy Tail is as wise as I was told." Jose stated. "If you believe that you've defeated us simply because the Jupiter Cannon has been destroyed, then you are mistaken."

A large magic circle appeared over the front of the mobile castle.

"No way!" Gray shouted worriedly.

"That's the magic circle of Abyss Break." Mira stated. "One of the forbidden spells."

"Is he nuts?!" Loke exclaimed. "A spell that big will wipe out the entire city!"

"If you were thinking of stopping this powerful spell from firing, you won't even have the chance." Jose stated smugly. "My soldiers will stomp you out long before that could ever happen."

From the windows of the mobile headquarters, hundreds of dark shades began to pour forth. Each was made of pure shadows and wearing hoods that concealed their faces; however, their red eyes could still be seen. They began to hover over the gathered Wizards.

"Everyone, remain calm!" Erza ordered. "Today, we fight for our guild's survival, so don't give an inch to these abominations!"

Cana had already drawn her cards. "We can fight the shades without any problems, but what about the Abyss Break?"

"That's simple. A group of us will be storming the guildhall and taking the fight to them while the rest of you fight off those shades." Minato explained. "If we take down Jose and his seven elites, Abyss Break is stopped, and this will end."

"Easier said than done." Cana muttered.

"Who'd ya have in mind?" Natsu asked cheerfully. "Also, if I'm not one of them, I'm going to be pissed."

"There are eight opponents within." Minato stated. "Mira, Erza, and I can match one of them at least, so that leaves five. Kageyama, you managed to beat Erigor, right?"

Kage nodded. "That's right."

"Then that's four to their eight." Minato stated. "Kakashi, Natsu, and Gray should be enough to account for another wizard themselves making seven…"

"Before you speak, I want it." Romeo declared. "If my team's going, then I'm going."

"Wait, I should go." Jet declared. "Those creeps made Lucy cry and took away her smile." He shook his head. "I can't stand for that."

"I…" Lucy looked down before looking up with determination. "I should go. I won't let you all fight for me because I'm a Fairy Tail Wizard myself. This is my fight to"

Minato smiled as these three were certainly willing. "The three of you can form a squad and easily match almost any Wizard in there." The three who spoke up looked at him. "Sound good?"

Romeo, Jet, and Lucy looked at one another before nodding at Minato.

"With everything decided, we should move." Kakashi looked to Gray. "You want to do the honors or should I?"

"I got this." Gray stepped forward. "Ice Make: Ramp!"

A ramp of ice, right to the inside of the canon, was formed, and the group Minato chose to head inside ran up it together. Shortly after they left, their remaining comrades were staring down the looming shades.

"Alright guys, our guildmates are on the path to take Phantom down, so it's our job to hold off these shades." Cana declared. "We have to put our trust in them and hold up on our end!"

The shades let out a collective, demonic cry before they descended on the prepared Wizards. This battle would be far from easy, but none of the mortal combatants were willing to let that deter them from giving this everything they had.

Fanny: No story of mine is canceled. I just tend to work on what catches my interest. Right now, I've been pumping out these Fairy Tail chapters.

Afan: Well, practically every Naruto character I've brought in are those who died. Obliviously, you could note some expectations Like Orochimaru and Gaara. Though Gaara did die before being brought back, so it kind of works. As for Orochimaru, he was sealed away by Itachi, so that's as good as death for me. In my opinion, what came out of Anko's Curse Mark is a different Orochimaru

In that sense. Might Guy would technically be eligible considering he should have died by using the Eight Gates of Death. Having him in Fairy Tail would be easy, but I think I have a concept that will work out just fine. You know, you just gave me a good idea here, so expect to see Guy shortly after the Phantom Lord Arc. He can have a role I was planning to give another at that time.
