It's Time.

- Dipper's POV -
My mind slipped from the dream as I woke up slowly with my eyes opening leisurely. Darkness was in my sight, confusing me for a moment until I remembered where I was at. ... Right, a nightmare woke me up in the middle of the night. While that was occurring, Kahlil happen to be up around that time and offered me to come down to lay next to him. I refused the offer though he convinced me the second time around. I was lying on the temporary bed on the floor, feeling comfortable in his arms. ... okay. How do I do this? A part of me wants to lay here and sleep all day while the other me wants to get up. Ugh, all of this warmth is pulling me to the first option. I sighed a bit before getting pulled closer by him. The movements of his body were signaling an awaken from him. "mmm... is it morning...?" I heard him mutter tiredly.
"Yes, I believe so." I whispered, closing my eyes.
"ugh... does that mean we have to ... get up?" He asked in a whisper.
"Yes, it does." I said quietly as a small smile appeared on my face.
"But ... I don't wanna." I heard him whine quietly, squeezing me gently.
"Too bad, it's that time of the day to get up." I said, opening my eyes.
"... Fiiiine..." He grumbled quietly. He unwrapped his arms from around me and rolled onto his back. I moved away an inch and sat up slowly. I stretch out my arms before letting out a yawn. "I wish we had more time..."
"More time of sleeping?" I said, rubbing my eye a bit.
"... yes..." He said quietly with his tired voice.
"I wish, however, we can't sleep in all day." I said, chuckling quietly.
"... Thanks ... I think I get that already." I heard him grumble. Already with the grumbles... I think that's the main reason why I'm not as grumpy as he is. I think he adsorbed them. "... Really?"
I turned my head over at him as he glared at me. "It might be a possibility." I said quietly.
"... Why would I adsorb your stupid grumpiness?" He asked in a grumble.
" 'Stupid.' Now you're foolish to think that." I said, turning my head away.
"I'm thinking foolish? Okaaaay then." He grunted. I sighed and lowered my head to my knees, resting it on them. I shook it slightly before glancing up at my door. Okay, I gotta get up and clean myself up. See what's on the news for breakfast and hang about. Unless Grunkle Ford made up his mind. I gave one last stretch before getting ready to get up. "... How was the sleep?" Kahlil asked in a less grumpy and tired voice.
I stopped and turned back to him. "It was good, good enough to keep the nightmare away." I answered.
"That's good at least." He said, lying back down on the pillow.
"Thank you for the offer." I said softly before turning away and getting up.
"... You're welcome, dear." He said quietly. I walked over to the door, opening it and leaving the room. I headed over to the staircase and climbed down them. I halted at the bottom, freezing at the shouting I heard from the dining room. I frowned as I tilted my head. I walked over to the arch with curiosity, halting by the pathway as I poke my head in. The voices grew more clearly as I heard what was being discussed. "Great. Just great! Is this how this will go?" Grunkle Stan asked, anger showing in his voice.
"It's better that way. Besides, we won't have to make two trips." Grunkle Ford answered.
"Yeah, yeah. I'll give you that." Grunkle Stan grunted, sipping his coffee as he sat in one of the dining table's chairs. "Why don't we go now?!"
"I-"
"I don't care if none of us are ready. We must get Pumpkin back! I know you agree with me on that!" Grunkle Stan said, placing his cup down and getting up. He glared down at Grunkle Ford before spotting me. "Perfect-"
"Alright, we must do this today. The faster we're there, the faster we're out of there." Grunkle Ford said, cutting him off.
"Don't think rushing isn't the point." I said. I watched my smart grunkle flinch over at me.
"Oh- didn't see you, Dipper." He said. "Anyway, I believe-"
"I know how much you want this to be fast, but if we take risky steps, we may never get Mabel out of there." I said, cutting him off.
"As much as I don't like that idea, I have to agree. I can't afford to lose my pumpkin." Grunkle Stan said, grabbing his cup and walking over to the dining room arch where I was at. "We'll need Soos and Wendy's help on this." He added on before leaving the room and into his bedroom.
"Indeed... you don't mind calling them, Dipper?" Grunkle Ford asked, walking over to me.
"I don't mind." I said, nodding.
"Good. While you do that, I'll fix everyone's breakfast." He said. "Can't go without an empty stomach."
"Good idea." I said, smiling softly. He nodded and walked over to the kitchen. I turned and stared at the staircase. Before I do that, I'll go clean up first. I headed over to the bathroom and did my business. I took my medication and got myself ready. I exited the bathroom and walked back upstairs. I headed over to the shared room, entering as I stared at the blond who went back to sleep. I sighed annoyed before walking over to his side and sitting next to him. I placed my hand on his shoulder and shook it. "Don't go into a deep sleep, this day is important." I said.
"... ugh... it's important...?" I heard him mumble.
"We're getting Mabel and the others out of the warehouse's basement." I said, getting up. As I walked around and over to my bed to sit on it, I saw him immediately sit up.
"Okay, that is some news I can wake up to." Kahlil said, letting out a yawn not too long. I snickered quietly before grabbing my phone, unplugging it from the charger cord. I opened my phone and went into contracts to text both Soos and Wendy about the news and told them to meet up at the shack later. Once I was done, I closed it and set it down on my bed. I sighed and looked over at the blond who was staring at me.
"... What?"
"Nothing. Just reading your mind." He said, turning away.
"If it was nothing, you wouldn't say that statement afterward." I said, narrowing my eyes.
"Okay fine. Remove the 'nothing' then." He huffed, looked a bit annoyed. I smiled softly before dropping it a second later. We'll be going into the ... warehouse's basement. I looked worried, glancing at him. Will he be okay going in there? Maybe I should ask. I got off my bed and sat next to him. He looked over at me, confused a bit. "... Will you be okay going into the... warehouse's basement?" I asked, shifting into a comfortable position.
"I'll ... probably be." He said, though his voice lingered with a lie.
"You sure?"
"Yes, I'm sure. Don't worry about me too much, I don't want to see your mind become a broken mess as before." He said.
"Okay." I said lowly, glancing away from him. This feeling of worry isn't going away and it's leading me to think about what will happen in the future. I frowned before getting pulled into a hug.
"Worry too much about the future by then and you'll definitely get distracted off of the subject. We don't want our future detective to be a failure right?" He whispered, hugging me tightly. I slowly rested my head on his shoulder, closing my eyes for a bit.
"... I don't want that." I said quietly. I waited a bit before opening my eyes and leaning back. "Though... will I be a failure?"
"I don't think you will. You're too smart to be one." He said, a smile appearing on his face.
"Thank you, dear." I said, feeling warmth rise within me.
"No problem." He said softly before placing a kiss on my forehead. "Okay I'm starving, is breakfast done?"
"Not yet, Grunkle Ford is still fixing it." I answered.
"Aww. Well, I have always had something else in the meantime. Luckily, I have you." He said, which made me confused for a minute. ... What does he mean by that...? Wait- My mind process the joke as I turned my head to glare at him. "Took you a minute." He snickered.
"Save your dirty jokes for later." I said, getting up.
"Aww, you're just gonna walk away just like that?~" He said. "Why don't you stay for a little bit?~"
"Later, Kahlil." I said walking over to the door and exiting it. I headed downstairs and walked over to the kitchen, arriving just in time for it. I fixed my plate before sitting down at the dining table. Grunkle Ford joined afterward as Kahlil finally came down to get some. I bet he fell asleep and forgot about the news I told him. Soon we finished our meals as time fast-forward into the afternoons. I was in my room, alone as I had the door closed. I just got done changing into some comfortable and warm clothing as we'll be leaving to do the rescue mission soon. Very soon actually.
I halted and sighed before looking over at my door. I flinched from my phone ringing as I turned and rushed over to it. I grabbed it and stared at the number that was calling me. Lee? I answered it, turning around to sit on my bed. "Hello."
"Oh, hey, Dipper! How've you been?" Lee asked.
"Good. How about you?" I said.
"Doing well. Say, can I ask something?" He said.
"Sure. What is it?" I said curiosity appearing on my face.
"How is that case coming along?" He asked.
"... It's doing well, infact, we're about to solve it." I said. I'm not quite sure if I should tell him about the mission...
"Really? You figure out where they are?" He asked, sounding pleased.
"Yep! And ... my family with some friends are going over to rescue the missing teens." I answered. Well, already told him. Not so sure if I should tell how Mabel...- I frowned slightly before rage begins to rise within me afterward.
"Ah! I would love to help in every way I can, but I don't know if my parents are going to allow it." He said, sounding sad.
"... This might be bad advice but you can always lie to them about it." I said. What have I become? More hands do sound good, though I'm not sure if I should convince him to go.
"Errr, I'm so tempted to join you guys... I know it will be dangerous but ... at the same time, I want to as well!" He said.
"You can if you want to." I said, spotting the door opening slowly. I blinked as I stared at Kahlil who stared back at me. He narrowed his eyes as he spotted the phone in my hand.
"You know what, I will! I will join you guys!" Lee said. "Is there a meeting where you guys are gathering at?"
"Meet us at the Mystery Shack as we're gathering there." I said, looking away from the blond who is welcoming himself into my room.
"Okay! I'll get there as fast as I can!" He said.
"No need-" The phone call ended before I became slightly annoyed. I sighed and place it in my jacket pockets. I glanced over at him as he was folding his arms. "Don't worry, It's just Lee."
"Why would I worry?" He asked, raising a brow.
"Just making sure." I said. "Anyway, have Soos and Wendy arrived?"
"Yes, I was sent here to tell you that." He said.
"Alright." I said before getting up.
"What did he called for?" He asked as he led the way.
"Nosy much-"
"HEY-"
"He just wanted to join us." I said, cutting him off after he interrupted me.
"I'm not nosy!" He huffed before heading down the staircase.
"Sureeee." I muttered quietly before following behind.
We headed into the dining room where the others were at. They were waiting patiently, well ... can't say anything about Grunkle Stan over there. Once we took our seats, the planning for this operation began. Grunkle Ford stood up from his chair and stood by the table, clearing his throat to speak. "Today is the day to get Mabel back, along with the other missing teens. The trip may be peaceful, however, heading into the basement may be troubling-"
"Yeah, yeah-"
"Dangers awake in there. There could be traps and hidden pathways that we don't know of. Infact, we don't know the entire area. So we must be on our best guard when entering." He said, interrupting Grunkle Stan from speaking.
"What do we do when we get all of the teens out?" Wendy asked.
"I suggest taking a lot of blankets and some medkits. So that we can treat any wounds before taking them to the hospital. And warm them due to the cold. " Grunkle Ford answered.
"Gotcha." She nodded her head.
"Is that all we need to look out for?" Grunkle Stan asked, getting impatient.
"In addition, if Bud is there, we can get him and tie him up for the police." Grunkle Ford said.
"I'd rather beat him to death." He grunted.
"I doubt you want to be charged with murder, regardless if the person you killed was a criminal." Grunkle Ford said.
"Ugh. Fine, but I'm taking a few hits on him." He said.
"Fine by me. Let's prepare. I want to at least get out of there quickly." Grunkle Ford said. We nod and got to work.
As we packed the required items, Lee arrived and was immediately accepted in by Grunkle Ford who I explained the reason he is here. He agrees with my statement of more hands as I told my friend to get in my grunkles car. He did so as I joined behind. We got everything that we needed for this mission. I shut the door and buckled before staring at the back of the passenger seat. I could feel my heartbeat faster than before. Calm down, don't be nervous. I'm hoping Mr. Gleeful isn't there when we arrive. Or... if he's in the basement. I shook my head, trying to get the worry thoughts out of my mind.
The car drove down the road, riding past the possessed folks who walked down the streets without a care. I squeeze my hands tightly as irritation twisted on my face. Why did they let it become this way? Just because they can? I grunted before leaning back against the seat. Maybe I can get all of my answers answered down below... Eh, never mind. I don't want to hear what twisted descriptions they have with the missing teens.
I watched the environment change and soon the gigantic trees towered over us. I felt the vehicle stopped as I jolted a bit. Excitement burned within me but the determination was right on its tail. This ends tonight. We all got out of the car, unpacking the items from the trunks of the cars. I felt a hand placed on my shoulder as I looked over. "Can you and ... your friend check the warehouse in case anyone is there? If someone is there, call us." Grunkle Ford said. I nodded and turned towards Lee as he looked confused. I lead him over to the abandoned warehouse, telling him about what my grunkle said. He nodded and glanced up at the tree that was sticking out of the roof.
"I never knew this was here." Lee said, entering the building.
"Well, it is. A bit surprising to newcomers but with me and ... Mabel? Not really..." I said, my voice becoming upset.
"... About that... where is she?" He asked.
My chest pained me a bit as I was wincing slightly. I sighed and frowned, glancing at the older boxes and newer ones. "She was kidnapped."
"... Oh my... I didn't know..." He said, frowning.
"It's fine! Hey, at least we're getting her out today!" I said determination rose, replacing my sadness with it.
"Yeah-" He paused when he leaned back as a disgusted expression twisted on his face. Soon I followed after, glancing over at the awful stench. Is that the box's smell ... that Cole sent me? I walked forward, following the scent. I spotted the trapdoor as I sighed. Of course, it's near the trapdoor. I shivered before glancing over at the box that was generating that smell. It was partially painted with blood with ... some guts hanging out of it. I felt grossed out before turning away. This is the first time I'm going to be seeing this. "Oh gosh-" I heard Lee say before he turned and walked back over to the entrance. I guess he has a weak stomach. I checked everywhere in the building before heading out to report back to Grunkle Ford.
Once I did so, the gang started to set up the blankets and medkits down next to them. We only had two. One for the house while the other was from Grunkle Ford's basement. Not sure what he uses the second one for. I got back up and looked over at Grunkle Ford who was gathering everyone. I headed over and halted by the group. "Are you guys ready?" He asked.
"Yes!"
"Good. Be on your guard when stepping into its wakes." He said before walking over to the trapdoor. I watched Grunkle Stan follow after slowly, and everyone else. I glanced back at the blankets. I think... there were at least 15 of them if we didn't count my sister. Anger rose within me every time I mentioned the situation with my sister. All I want to do is hurt the people who did this, but I don't have to do that. Not unless it is necessary or if I have to defend myself. I doubt those two options will come.
As they opened the trapdoor, I jumped from the horrible stench that was carried into the fresh cold air. I held back my vomit as I shivered. I walked down the stairs after Grunkle Ford went in. I was followed by Wendy and the rest. We turned our flashlights on as it was very dark in here. I moved the light onto the walls, eyeing the old blood on them. I don't like this place, gives me the creeps. Especially when it's cold down here. I looked ahead at my grunkles sight, seeing that there is a gate in front of us. I halted and moved my light in it, seeing that there is recent blood on the old blood painted on the metal floor. I tried to see some more with my light though I was dragged away by Kahlil. "Pay attention, you're gonna be left behind." He whispered.
"Sorry." I whispered back, turning my flashlight forward as I walked slowly. I looked ahead, seeing the older twins halt in what seems to be a t-section. I tense up a bit, becoming nervous instantly. I flinched when a hand was placed on my hand. I looked over at the blond who flinched back in my reaction. "It's... okay." He whispered.
"... I know. Though, are you okay?" I asked, observing the hidden fear on his face. I could also hear it in his voice.
"I'm fine. No need to worry about me." He whispered.
"... Okay." I nodded before catching up with my grunkles.
"We'll check both ways. You, Me, and Soos can check in the tunnel while Dipper, Wendy, Kahlil, and Lee can check in the right tunnel." Grunkle Ford said.
"Alright. Let's hope Pumpkin is in these tunnels." Grunkle Stan said, beginning to walk in his tunnel. I went with the tunnel I was assigned to, walking with Wendy, Lee, and Kahlil. I felt someone grab my arm as I jumped back at the reaction.
"Sorry!" Lee said, frowning at me.
"Shhhh!" Wendy hissed in a whisper. I calmed myself down before smiling softly at him. He still looked guilty for scaring me. I sighed and rubbed his back, letting him know it was okay. Soon we walked together and caught up with the others. The hallway wasn't too long nor too short, though what we came across with our flashlights, was hell. The floors and walls were colored partially in blood as rust and mold followed along. It was an unhealthy environment, making me grow disgusted. Well... he never treated them with great care. What did I expect? A nice place? I shook my head and looked over to Wendy who approached a cage that now showed itself when her light shined into it. "Oh..." I heard her quiet, sad voice.
I tilted my head slightly before walking over to see what she was staring at. Don't tell me... My mind trailed off as I halted at the sight, widening my eyes. I was staring at a body that had so many cuts all over their skin and with many dried blood pools around them. It looks like we were too late with this one. I frowned as I glanced away, moving my light away from the sight. I shined it at the next cage where Lee was staring at. I walked over to him, looking inside as my stomach dropped. Another corpse. Though their wounds were different as they had bruises and gashes all over them. Their skin also looked like it was frozen. It seems like they died from freezing to death. I squeeze my hands around the flashlight before jumping from a broken voice in another cage. "... L-light...? T-that ... that can't be p-possible."
"Someone's alive?" I heard Lee whisper. Good!
I turned towards the voice, watching Wendy who was already rushing over to the cage. "Someone's alive! That's great!" She said happily.
"... P-people...?" The voice continued.
"Don't worry, we'll get you out quickly!" She said, searching for a way to open the cage. As she was doing that, I was walking over to help. I eyed the bars before coming across a lock. I grabbed it as I flinched when it disappeared in my hands. The cage door opened as Wendy rushed over. "Help me here, Dipper." She said. I nodded, turning my flashlight off and placing it in my back pocket. I rushed in and over to the person's side.
"I can't ... I-I can't believe ... people came ... to us." They said as we help them to their feet. I had their arm over my shoulder as Wendy had the other one over hers.
"We're going to get you out." I whispered, moving out slowly.
"... To ... family...?" They asked quietly.
"Yes." Wendy answered.
"... I-I ... I don't ... I don't want to..." They said, the panic rising in their voice.
"It's okay! Whatever Mr. Gleeful said to you isn't true." I said. The victim stayed silent as we both frowned at each other. I looked over at my friend, still seeing him freeze in place. I was about to call him over until Kahlil gently guided him over to us. We arrived at the t-section and soon over to the stairs. Once we were above the surface, we lay them on a free blanket. Wendy grabbed a freed medkit and went to treating their wounds.
I turned and walked over to Lee, who was still with Kahlil. "Can you stay out here for a bit?"
"... Why?"
"I think it's best if you watch the others and make sure they don't do anything ... that will hurt themselves." Kahlil said quietly.
"... Okay." He nodded, turning towards the two that my grunkles handled. I frowned a bit before glancing over at the blond. We both nodded to each other before I headed back over to the trapdoor. I walked in the dark hallways, spotting the light from the flashlights that were left in the t-section. No idea if that's a good idea to leave them there. I headed over and was about to turn left when I heard a voice in the hallway in front of me. I blinked at it, confused for a minute before freezing up at the voice. ... It ... It sounded like ... Mabel's voice. Is she ... calling for help...? I heard it again, louder this time as I pay no attention to the two hallways and went forward. I grabbed my flashlight from my back pocket once I got away from the light from the t-section. I turned it on and shined it down the hallway.
The pathway was long and lengthy, dreading this never-ending feeling of the eerie tone. I started to regret coming down here as I slow my steps. But I soon pick it up once I heard my sister's voice again. It was close as my regret disappears around the fifth time I heard it. "... Mabel...?" I said out loud. WHY DID I SAY THAT?! I shouldn't have said her name out loud! Mr. Gleeful could be here ... but it feels like he's not according to how we're handling the other victims. Maybe ... maybe I'm safe for now...
I shined my light around as I watch the walls disappear. I gulped as nervousness struck within me. I flinched from the nearby voice, turning towards it quickly. "... M-mason...?" Wait- Why is that voice different? "... Is that... you?" Wait, Candy?! I rushed over as I shined my light inside the cage before me. "H-How ... did you g-get down here?!" Candy said, looking at me with a surprised expression.
"Don't worry about that. I'm going to get you out of here." I said, walking closer to the cage to look for the lock.
"... T-That's... that's good." She said, though her voice sounded a bit suspicious. I didn't think much of it as I smiled softly back at her. Though it dropped when I saw pieces of fear slip onto her face. She widened her eyes as she stared at something behind me. I was confused at first before realizing what I walked into. I attempted to look quickly behind me, though I ended up collapsing from something that pulled me into the void.
Something was burning my eyelids as I moved my hands to cover my face. I grumbled slightly, hearing heavy pounding in my head. Ugh ... what happened? Did a random headache decide to make everything worse? I slowly sat up, rubbing my head. "Dipper!" I was hugged tightly as I fell back down on the soft surface. "You're alive. You're alive!"
"... M-Mabel?!" I said, reality finally helping me from this darkness I was staring at before. I hugged her back as I slowly rose both of us up. I looked down at her before glancing around the room. The room was well furnished, though ... maybe a bit too furnished since there were many ... different deadly tools on some tables that surrounded us. I shivered as I spotted blood on most of them. I looked away as the pounding begin to worsen. Ugh... I must have gotten hit in the head.
"... I-I ... don't know how to get out of this place." She whispered, burying her face into my shirt. "... I don't think there's a way out."
"... Hey- ack" I winched from the pain that my head was experiencing. "... hey, don't say that we'll figure something out."
"... will we...?" She said quietly.
"Yes." I nodded, smiling. I helped her sit up as she slowly looked up at me, but she soon looked away with a sad expression. "Did ... he hurt you?"
"... Y-yes ... but I don't want to ... talk about that." She said quietly, frowning.
"Okay." I said, placing an arm around her. I felt her arms tremble violently as they unwrap from my torso. I squeeze my hands into fists as my face darken. Though that caused my head to hurt even more. Great ... I have a headache and it's not letting me think about anything. This is terrible. I calmed myself down before checking my surroundings again. We ... seem to be in the middle of these ... friendly tables. I glanced down as we were on a bed. A white bed that was partially covered in old bloodstains. I .. I- Oh gosh.
"... D-don't think much of it..." She whispered.
"...Why not?" I said, placing my other free arm in my lap before feeling something attached to it. I glanced down, staring at the cuff on my wrist. I trail my eyes on the chains that attach themselves somewhere. Oh, hell no. I'm getting us out of here! One way or another!
"... I- he... He got us...- An ... An great dad like him...- Why... Why ... Why did he do this...?" She stammered sadly as she looked back at me with a panicked expression.
"He doesn't have us! Don't give up Mabel!" I said, placing my hands on her shoulder.
"... But we're both cuffed to the bed..." She whispered, lowering her head. I eyed the bandage on her shoulder, causing anger to boil within me.
"That doesn't make us give up with what we had. We're going to make it out of here alive. You know it too, Mabel." I said softly.
"... I know..." She said quietly. She soon lifted up her head as she had tears in her eyes. "I just don't ... like how he used me as bait to lure you away from the others." I widened my eyes, remembering what happened before. How did I not notice it?! I had that regretful feeling! How? Did I think that it was just going to be easy like that?! I clenched my teeth and turned to glare at the mattress. "They came didn't they?" She asked.
"Yes... We weren't going to leave you here." I said, glancing back at her.
"And now they'll have to. They can take the others for all I care, I found my two new toys!" My stomach dropped when I heard the older voice. I quickly looked over at Mr. Gleeful as I glared at him as if I was going to kill him.
"You two were very sweet kids when we first met. It was really a shame that things had to be this way." Mr. Gleeful said, walking away from the door. It was closed as he headed over to one of the tables. "Now, I'm sure they won't find this room. It's very well hidden!" I pulled my sister closer to me, watching him pick up a knife that seems to have a recent new coat of red coloring. Though ... it was blood with how the way he licked it. I shivered as a disgusted look appeared on my face.
"Oh boy. This will take some time to get used to. This feels like my very first victim!" He chirped, grabbing another weapon before walking around the table and over to us. "Though it's a bit different because I have two. It will be hard but I'll get it down in no time!"
"Don't. Don't hurt my brother." I heard Mabel say as she pulled away from me gently. She soon turned to glare at Mr. Gleeful.
"I doubt your going to talk to me, missy. Especially the times we shared." He said, grinning at her creepliy. She squeaked as she quickly hid behind me. I ...- What?! I looked at her with a worried expression before turning back at him, giving him a death glare.
"Why the fuck do you like to do this twisted shit?" I asked.
"It's enjoyable. Why else is there to describe it?" He answered, halting as he places them down at the table very close by to us.
"You are going to regret this." I hissed, gripping my sister tightly.
"Will I? I don't think of my actions at all. I believe everything is served for. With every victim I take in, they deserve what they have done to my son. With you two, you guys were getting close to discovering the secret. But now, I'm going to ENJOY HEARING YOUR SCREAMS AFTER WHAT YOU DONE TO MY SON." He shouted, making me frightened of his behavior. It was like an automatic reaction to the given shout.
"Hehehe ... you are so easy to control now. I'm glad Gideon sent those bullies after you." He snickered, picking up the knife once more. He swirled it a bit before turning with us with a grin. "Mabel, get away from him. Don't make me regret our little "offer" earlier."
I heard my sister squeal before moving away. I turned towards her as she appeared frightened. Her limbs tremble as she became stuck in this position. I slowly looked back at him, wanting to lash out so badly. "Don't. Try. Anything." He said, approaching me as he was reaching out to my neck. I froze as I allowed it. What am I doing?! Why am I freezing up?! I felt his hands grab my throat as my breathing quickens, making panic rise within me quickly. "Good boy~. Kahlil really picked a pathetic-looking boy such as yourself. Easy prey to manipulate." He whispered closely as shivers went down my spine.
I held my breath as I allow him to control me. Dipper, control your damn movements! Take control and lash out at him! A voice told me in the back of my head. I ... I can't. He let go of my neck, turning to unlock the cuff, removing it from my wrist. I looked a bit confused, though the fear never left my face. "Don't make sudden movements now you'll regret it." He whispered. He leaned in a bit pressing the knife to my neck as I froze. Don't... No... No... Not in front of her...- No... I can't- "Perfect entertainment! This is the joy I get!" He snickered as I turned my head away from him. "Aww, don't look away..." He trailed off before grabbing my chin and turning it back towards his face. I glanced away as I didn't want to look at him.
Come on! His guard is down! Now is your chance! Take the knife and defend yourself and your sister! The voice returned. You don't want to be here forever now, don't you? Save yourself and your sister! That was your main goal! "LOOK AT ME" He shouted in my face. However, that didn't make me freeze up, instead, I snapped out of this mist. I grabbed the knife with quick speed, slashing it in his face. He screamed in pain, stumbling backward. I looked down and grabbed the keys before crawling over to my sister. I grabbed her wrist with the cuffs on and put the keys in, unlocking it. Soon after I pushed her as she got off of the bed quickly.
I was following behind her, only to get my ankle grabbed by him.
"DON'T YOU DARE RUN AWAY FROM ME."
