Well ... That Happened

! WARNING !

Still some body disturbing imagery in this chapter, just a lot worst.

- Kahlil's POV -

"W-What do you mean he's gone? He just went down there!" Lee said, panicked.

"I know that! But ... it just seems like he suddenly vanished!" Wendy said. "I checked all over the place for him. The two rooms we checked."

"... W-What if he went into the hallway we never went in?" Lee asked.

"... We... weren't allowed to check that... I'd ... doubt he went ..." I said slowly, turning over to the trapdoor. ... If ... he's not in the hallways and rooms ... then ...- Wait.

"We were going in there as a team!" Stan said with an angry expression. "Why would he go ahead of us?"

"Maybe he didn't go ahead of us ... maybe he was lured in there." Ford guessed. I widened my eyes as I looked over.

"What do you mean lured?!" I asked.

"If Mr. Gleeful is in there and if he lured him in the hallway all by himself, that could be the possible guess." Ford answered.

"Oh shit. He does has ...- do you think?" Wendy said, quickly looking at me with a panicked expression.

"Oh, if that bastard lured him using his own sister as bait. Somebody's dying tonight." I hissed, turning away and storming over to the trapdoor.

"Wait! I think it's best if we go together." I heard Wendy say. It's best if you don't.

"If you two are going down there, we'll follow behind you guys after we get these guys taken care of." Ford said.

"Alright, let's go, Kahlil." Wendy said before taking the lead. You are going to see a side of me that you never wanted to see. I sighed and slowly nodded before following behind. Once we reach down below in the dark, my eyes became inhuman as I glared down the dark hallway. Wendy took out her flashlight and shined the light in the darkness. We walked into this forbidden place. With every step we take, I could hear every inch of my body boil inside out. And I don't care if that sounds disgusting. I might do that to him if I'm creative with how I kill people.

We passed the t-section and into the hallway we never explored. Doesn't matter now. I halted at the sound of a familiar voice. "... Mabel?" I heard Wendy say. With how that sounded, it could be from a recorder. Great ...

"That was from a recorder." I said.

"... An recording of Mabel's voice?" She asked, looking shocked.

"So it is true." I hissed.

"Relax-"

"Don't tell an angry person to calm down." I snapped, turning to glare at her.

"Hey! I might be right with this. I know you care deeply about Dipper. But your anger might get us in trouble." She said, returning the glare.

"What makes you think that the kidnapper is watching us with his eyes?" I said, turning away and walking forward.

"We might run into a trap or something!" She said, catching up from behind.

"True but I can get us out of it just fine." I said, crossing my arms.

"That might be a point but don't think all high mighty when you have powers that can overrun us." She said, aggression quite heard in her voice. I shook my head and kept my mouth shut. I don't need to have this argument. We walked in silence until I notice the walls disappearing. Whenever I can see with my inhuman eyes, I can see the darkness quite well. I looked around the wide room, spotting a cage with someone familiar in it. Once we approached I stepped away from Wendy when she turned towards it. "Candy?!"

"W-Wendy!" Candy said, rushing over to the bars just fine. Something is off about her ...

"Are you okay?!" Wendy asked.

"Yes, yes ... I'm fine ... I haven't ... gotten hurt by them..." Candy said, appearing to look sad. It looks like she doesn't have any wounds on herself, but I can be mistaken. I can barely see from over here where I'm standing in the darkness.

"That's good." Wendy nodded before trying to find a way to get her out.

"... Y-You're not the only person who came here..." She said, trying to sound weak.

"... Dipper came here?!" Wendy asked, halting her actions.

"Y-yes! ... Yes he did! I ... I think he went ... to get something to get me ... freed." She said, sounding really off by the slow struggle of her voice. Jeez, I can tell when she's lying even if I'm all the way over here and not reading every inch of her mind. I sighed and walked closer to them, spotting something different from the others on herself. I was right, she doesn't really have any wounds on her body. This is making me really suspicious of her reasoning in this cage, to begin with. I looked at the cage bars, noticing there was no lock on them. Yep. It is. Though I don't want to jump to conclusions.

Candy spotted me as I stopped, standing next to Wendy. She widened her eyes, the fear greatly enlarged on her facial expressions. She was frightened of my appearance, probably because of my eyes. "... Is ... this your ... friend...?" She asked, quickly looking back at Wendy again. Wendy looked over at me, giving me a dubious expression. She soon glanced back at Candy and nodded. "He is. ... Don't worry about him, he ... won't hurt you." She answered as she slowly gazed back at me with an annoyed look.

I nodded slowly, though I didn't want to. I have to agree with her terms of things. I glanced away from her stare and back at the slightly frightened Candy. "... He ... should be back by now, I don't know what's taking long." Jeez... the lie is really clear in your head. I narrowed my eyes and glared at her. Why would you even lie about him? What did he do?

"... Did ...- Candy." I heard Wendy asked.

"Y-Yes?" Candy asked, going back to this sad behavior. So many facades she keeps throwing onto her face.

"... How long ago did Dipper get here?" Wendy asked. I raised a brow and looked over at her.

"Just now when you guys arrived!" Candy said, lying again with a convincing voice towards anyone who doesn't have much of a lie detector level.

"... Wouldn't he notice our lights...?" Wendy asked. I widened my eyes slightly before looking back at Candy, who was sauntering over to the cage door. She kept her gaze on Wendy and went over to lean on it. It opened slightly as she pretended to flinch from it, though it doesn't seem like a convincing flinch when I saw a real one before.

"... So it is true..." Candy said, avoiding Wendy's question. From the way her aura is giving off and the way her mind is, she's planning something. I became aware of her actions as I was gently shoved away by Wendy. She shook her head at me before looking over at the black-haired girl. I wasn't going to do anything. I sighed annoyed. "... They did ... unlock the cage door..."

"... Candy, Did-" Wendy was interrupted in her speech as Candy swiftly shoved the cage door open and jabbed a small knife in her shoulder before proceeding to drag it down her arm quickly. I rushed over, pushing her back into the cage once she pulled the knife out of her shoulder to come and try stabbing me. That failed as I slammed the cage door and sealed it shut with my powers. I turned over to Wendy who was trying not to scream so loudly. I moved her away from the cage and pulled out a spare cloth that I saved from earlier, just in case situations like these happen.

I place it on her wound and press it down. She soon raises her hand to the area and places it down. "... I knew something was off about her..." She whispered, wincing quite alot from the pain.

"... I could have told you but ... I didn't want to get in your way." I whispered, looking at her pained face.

"... I... didn't realize..." She said quietly before slowly lifting up her head over to give Candy a glare. "Why did you betray us?!" I turned and glared at the black-haired girl.

"I simply just did what I was told." Candy said, holding the bloody knife in her hands. She was smiling as she was proud of what she did. "Now I can be freed and prove how strong I am to Gideon!" What?

"Just to injure someone else?" I asked. "For your personal gain?"

"Well duh! You guys don't seem to get it! It was quite easy to manipulate you guys!" She chirped. I stood up and walked over to her. Without hesitation I grabbed her wrist and twisted it, causing her to scream in pain.

"Stop it! Stop it! Candy screamed, dropping the knife as it bounced outside of the cage. I looked down at it and moved it away from us with my foot. I saw Wendy stand up slowly behind me as she walked over to me while still having her right hand on her left shoulder.

"Why did you choose to do this? What is the reason?" Wendy asked. Anger appeared on her facial expression as she saw through the lies. I stop twisting her wrist, however, I didn't let go.

"Why did I choose this? Why? Maybe because I wanted to prove to Gideon I was better than Grenda. You may not care about my personal gain with this, but I do. And I wanted to make it right. I asked Gideon to see what I can do to prove to him that I was useful still. He suggested that I could try to kidnap the person that his father wanted. Mr. Gleeful wanted Dipper, not for the stupid case that the two decided to set their goals on, just because he wants to. He just ... his father got angry that Mabel didn't appreciate the story that he told to them. So ... to make her suffer for her actions, he wanted to take her brother away from her." She said, eyeing me as my face darken a whole lot.

"I-... I- Before the Halloween Festival ... my goal was to ask Dipper out on a date and later on in the festival I could take him somewhere and Mr. Gleeful can handle the situation from thereon. But instead, he just ... he just had to lay eyes for someone else at that time. THAT RUINED THE PLAN- What makes you so special that he could have fallen for you?!" Candy snapped at me. She soon screamed a second later as I was back to twisting her wrist.

"Kahlil!" I heard Wendy's voice as I stopped, causing the black-haired girl to pant from the pain. "... Why ... why did you do this?" Wendy asked, appearing to be slightly concerned for her. Why do you care about someone who hurt you?!

"... To win back at Grenda... We were once great friends until Gideon came along and pointed out the greatness in Grenda. I ... I got jealous and tried to win that stupid fashion dress contest to win Gideon over... so ... that's why ... I did all of this." Candy answered.

"... That's... a stupid decision, do you know that you could have to be placed in somewhere far more different than life?" I asked, glaring daggers at her.

"I know! I know. But I didn't care about the consequences my actions had! I... I just wanted to win Gideon over!" Candy said, frowning as tears well in her eyes.

"He manipulated you guys into fighting for him so he can enjoy it like a show." I said.

"... W-what...?" Candy said, widening her eyes in shock. "... What ... what do you mean...?"

"With how Gideon is and how he controlled the entire town with his ... magic, I'm sure he did that just to get you guys to fight one another." Wendy said, agreeing with me. "We may not understand it all from our point of views- well, Kahlil might, but I might not because of it."

"... So ... S-so... he just ... did this ... just to screw with us...?" Candy asked, tears streaming down her face. "I thought he... cared about us."

"Gideon only cares about himself. He's a cold, heartless psychopath who only gains something from inflicting pain onto others." I said, holding back a frown. Even if I want to feel bad for her, I don't want to. But ... with everything about this all, I can only blame the Gleefuls for that.

" ... W-what... do I do...?" Candy said sadly after a few minutes of standing in silence.

"... You might have to suffer for your actions." Wendy said. "I can't forgive you for what you have done to me."

"... I... I'm sorry..." She said.

"An apology won't do." I said, narrowing my eyes.

"I-I know it won't..." She said, lifting up her head to look up at us. "... I... I will face the consequences if it will make you guys forgive me..."

"... I might but ... Kahlil may not." Wendy said. That is right. I don't care if you were manipulated or received an offer to prove how your better than another girl. What you chose to do was dangerous and against our beliefs. You went out of your way and never backed away from the offer just to cause a whole lot of issues within this place. And what you pulled? I'm not forgiving you until you are dead. I nodded to her statement.

"... Okay..." Candy said. I let her go before backing away. Wendy followed me as it caused panic in the black-haired girl's face. "Wait- you're leaving me?!"

"... We can come and get you when we have Dipper and Mabel. Enjoy your time here, Candy." Wendy said before walking into the darkness. I followed after her after I grabbed her flashlight she dropped. I shined it in her way as she turned towards me. "Thank you, forgot about this." She muttered. I place a hand on her shoulder before going over to tear a cloth from my sleeves. I then place it around the white-red cloth that was on her left shoulder. "... I'm sorry about the argument earlier about your powers." She whispered.

"... It's alright. I understand why." I said, finishing. She turned towards me and gave me a half hug since moving her left arm would be painful to her. I was surprised at first, though I hugged her back slowly as I gave in. We both let go and smiled at each other.

"Maybe I should study what you can do with your powers, so I can better understand it." She said.

"Maybe after all of this is over." I said. "Do you want to lead?" Holding the flashlight in my hand.

"Yeah... so in case anyone comes and jumps out at us, you can attack them without worrying me." She said, smiling. "Since ... your very quick to react."

"I can sense when someone is near... sometimes." I answered, handing the flashlight to her. "Though, make sure to be near me so that they won't reach out ot grab you first."

"Good idea." She nodded before shining the way of our pathway. We halted when we came to a dead end. We looked around for another hallway or something but, it just seems like the entire room is empty except for Candy's cage. Some walls lead somewhere, though they seem to be placed in the middle rather than near the walls. That confused us, baffled me the most as I don't know why they were placed there. We soon halted near them as we stared at the walls. "... We checked everything... the walls don't seem to have anything of suspicion." Wendy said.

"... I bet there still a hidden secret somewhere." I said, walking over to the walls of the room.

"Maybe we didn't check hard enough?" She asked, following me. I placed my hand on the wall, making me freeze from the vibration I was feeling. It feels like someone was banging on the wall, very close by. I placed my other hand on the wall, trying to locate the sound as it was in front of me. I looked down at the ground, eyeing the scratch marks on the floor. "Did you find something?"

"This wall is movable." I said, looking back at her.

"It is?!" She said, rushing over before wincing from a wave of pain from her wound.

"Yes... but ... I don't know how to move it." I said, looking unsure.

"Move it with your powers." She said.

"... Oh." I said, feeling a bit embarrassed. "Right..." My hands glowed a blue light as I tried to locate the length of this segment wall. Once I did that, I lift it back a bit before moving it to the right slowly. The light faded from my hands when it was out of the way. I flinched from someone falling face-first onto the ground. Wendy shined the flashlight onto the person as it turned out to be Mabel.

"Mabel?!" Both me and Wendy said as we rushed to her side.

"K-..." Mabel coughed dust as we helped her to her feet. "W-Wendy?" She said weakly.

"We're here, Mabel." Wendy said, hugging her close to her. She coughed a bit before turning her gaze over to me. I nodded at her.

"... I- ... I-... I didn't ...-" She stopped herself and shook her head before slapping both of her cheeks with her hands. She mumbled some words before pulling away from Wendy gently. "Dipper's in that hallway in the room! I didn't want to run and leave him there so I went and tried to find some help. Luckily I ran into you guys!"

"Are-"

"Come on! You have to hurry!" She said, tugging on Wendy's arm and begin to walk back into the hallway. She ended up falling again, though I caught her this time.

"Careful. Show us then." I said, helping her up on her feet.

"Okay! Stay close!" She said, leading the way as Wendy shined the way. This part of the place seems to be ... cleaner than the entire basement. The walls were painted with patterns, same with the floor. It's ... giving me memories of the past, but for some reason, it isn't affecting me as much. Maybe because I'm in this form where my inner demon is blocking those memories. Correct! The voice said in my head. I sighed annoyed. Of course, it's still there. Well, at least it's useful for this mission.

The walls widened themselves a bit before welcoming us to an open door. Though the light inside was turned off. "... The light was on..." Mabel mumbled.

"Shhh." I said, aware of this trick.

"... He's in there, isn't he?" Wendy whispered.

"Both ... Gideon's father and Dipper." Mabel whispered back.

"... Shit." Wendy cursed silently. "Okay, he's hiding in there and we know it."

"We can go in there and get my brother out!" Mabel suggested quietly.

"Yeah-" I sensed someone was watching us from behind, though I was too late to alert them as I watched Wendy get cut off by getting hit in the back of the head. She collapsed onto the ground like a ragdoll. I jumped back as I watched Mabel quickly turned towards the figure. She was hit seconds later as the bat came at me. I dodged it before grabbing ahold of it. I shoved it in Mr. Gleeful's face, making him yelp, and stumbled backward. I held the bat close to me as I narrowed my eyes at him.

"Well. I can't believe my own prey fought back at me!" Mr. Gleeful said, rubbing his face before revealing a nasty wound across his face. It started from his right cheek, over his nose, and above his left eye. I smirked as I felt warmth rise within me. Did Dipper do that to you? Awww, I might have to congratulate him on this later. "Wipe that smirk off of your face, disgusting rat!" He hissed.

"Disgusting? The only disgusting rat I see is you." I said, turning cold within seconds.

"Now, that isn't a very nice thing to say about your master." He said, anger appearing on his face. He soon approached me quickly.

"I'm not your slave!" I hissed as he grabbed hold of the bat. My hands slipped as he shoved me to the ground. I winced from the shoulder pain of my bandaged wound. I... I shouldn't be... feeling pain...

"You sure? You seem to back down a bit..." He said. I looked up at him with a glare.

"I'm not-" I froze up when I heard metal clashing with one another.

"You left me with no choice." He said. I slowly crawled away from him, trying to get away from him. Don't- don't hurt me...

'OH SATAN, HE'S RIGHT THERE, Are you really going to descend into one of your episodes right now?!' A voice said in my head. 'I thought you didn't want this happening again?!'

I ... I ... I don't know. I thought back to the voice. My back hit a wall as panic rose quickly within me.

'Oh my satan ... I really don't want to be involved but I have no choice don't I?' The voice said.

W-what are you going to do...? I told the voice.

'Do you really want to experience the trauma you already suffer from before? Do you really want to?' The voice asked me.

... If ... if he promises not to hurt the others... I told the voice.

'YOU are a DEMON. YOU are MORE POWERFUL THAN HE IS WITH MY POWERS. Why would you appear weaker than HE IS?! Your not going to see your loved one ever again, nor your mortal friends if you go DOWN this pathway!' The voice said, shouting at me.

I blinked as I looked down at the floor. 'Come on! Let me take over! I will make sure I will hurt the right person!' The voice said, convincing me to that choice. I tense a bit, allowing this.

"Did I break you? If I did, that's perfect. I don't want to see my prey betraying me." Mr. Gleeful said. I heard him crouch down as I felt my chin moved by his action. I snapped and grabbed his wrist, glaring at him with my bright yellow inhuman eyes. "WHAT-"

"Who the fuck you touching?" I hissed.

"DON'T TALK-" I kicked him back before snatching the bat away from him. I stood up quickly and backed away. I grabbed each end of the bat and bend it, causing it to break into two. He glared at me as he stood up and pulled out another weapon. No thank you. I wanna have my fuuuun!~ The knife flew out of his hand as it hovered beside me with blue light falling from it. "... Now, now, don't try to turn against me. If you do, I will not make your punishment that easy."

Jeez... this kid really has a fucked up assaulter. I dropped the remains of the broken bat. I looked over at the knife, eyeing it a bit before glancing back at Mr. Gleeful. "What-"

"No. I don't want to." I said emotionlessly.

"Fine. Have it your way." He hissed before rushing over to me. I dodged his grabbing method, though he was really after for the knife. Well shit, controlling a human body is hard. He grabbed the knife and turned towards me, slashing my arm when I went to block it. I backed away from him, not responding to the wound that was inflicted on me. Suddenly I was rammed against the wall, as my right hand was pinned on the wall. As in a knife pin it. I glared as Mr. Gleeful held down my other hand as I grew irritated within seconds. 'OKAY. TRI. I need you. You can't just leave the center control of this all.' The voice said.

... I can't...? I told the voice.

'No, you can't. Ugh ... this is why we fuse so we avoid these types of situations.' The voice said.

... Right...

'Okay. We were doing so much better before when you were twisting that girl's wrist. I wish you broke it off of her body, but we can save that for later.' The voice said.

... You know what ... I think it's best if we don't split apart. I told the voice.

'Oh? It is? YOU FINALLY GET IT?! Ugh. You were sooooo smart before I split away.' The voice said. 'That might have been my fault.'

... So... I take control and you fuel in? I told the voice.

'Exactly! Teamwork, ugh... I can't wait until I'm on another life.' The voice said, sounding annoyed.

"Are you getting sleepy?~ I can take you to a bed and we can settle it there." Mr. Gleeful offered. I widened my eyes from the gross suggestion before ripping my right hand through the knife. I grabbed the knife and pulled it out of the wall before shoving it deep in his shoulder. He yelped back before letting me go. I pulled it out a second later, watching him stumble back. Okay. I think it'll be best if we just stay fused. Without you, I'm nothing.

'... awww If I could, I would have kissed you.' The voice said, sounding disgusted. I smiled a bit before dropping it to glare at the opponent in front of me. He looked like he was about to fall over since blood was flowing out of his shoulder like a river. I might have hit an artery... Oh well. He shook his head multiple times before running at me and grabbing my throat. He squeezed it tightly as I had a hard time struggling to breathe. "I will not die by my prey... I-I ... I will not allow it!" He said, weakness slipping through his voice. I grabbed his wrist, trying to get it off. Though it released a second later when he squeezed even tighter, sending all of his strength into killing me.

I soon was trying to move his arms away. I noticed I still had the knife in one of my hands. I used what was left in my strength to stab the fucker in his neck. He yelped before releasing me. He stumbled back as I slid on the wall to the floor. I coughed before panting heavily. I slowly looked up at Mr. Gleeful. I watched him hold his neck as blood spill from him and landed on the floor in front of me. Some got on my clothes, I didn't mind it. "N-no ... n-n-no!" I heard the words in broken tones. "N-not ... n-not like this ... n-not ... like ..." I watched him fall backward as he collapsed, hitting his head hard on the floor. He twitched a bit before laying limp.

I stared at the body for a minute, probably more. I widened my eyes in shock, panting from the previous attack. I looked away before trying to calm myself from having any sort of panic attack. As soon as I did that, the pain started to flow in, making me squeal from all sorts of areas. I moved my right arm as I stared at the hole in my hand. I place it down on my lap, staring at the dislocated bones and missing muscles sticking out of it. Great... this will be fun to get fixed. I sighed before glancing at the body once more. I shivered slightly before looking over at the two who were getting up slowly.

I stood up, using my left uninjured hand to get onto my feet. I winced a bit, staring down at my foot. I must have sprained it during the fall when he shoved me. Jeez... what else other wounds he inflicted on me? I stared at my arm that was bleeding again. Oh... a brand new one. I sighed in annoyance and limbed over to them. "Are... are we... captured...?" Mabel said slowly, taking a look around before spotting me sitting down next to Wendy. "... Kahlil?"

I glanced at her before shaking my head. "You're hurt!" She said, quickly getting up and over to me. She stumbled a bit before steading herself. "... Ouch..." She said, staring at the wound on my right hand.

"Yeah ... that might have been my fault..." I said, smiling nervously.

"Wait... we're alive?" Wendy asked behind me.

"Yep." I flinched from the other voice, turning towards it. I widened my eyes up at Dipper who was stumbling out of the room and over to us. "... Oh my... god."

"Don't... Don't look at him." I said, glancing away. I caught him sitting next to me in the corner of my eyes.

"No, I'm talking about this." He said, pointing at the hole in my hand.

"... Yeah... I'll be fine..." I said, pain flooding to my face.

"Dipper?!" Wendy said, rushing to him.

"I'm fine! I got myself out as ... he had weak ropes and a ... nearby sharp object." He said, giving her a look of "stupid people."

"Oh, thank god. Did you get hurt anywhere?" She asked, already examining him.

"Just my leg." He said, smiling nervously.

"Okay, we gotta get up with the others." Wendy said, taking a look at me. "You're wound has reopened on your back."

"Of course it did!" I said, looking annoyed.

"Wait- Where's Mr. Gleeful?!" Mabel said as panic rose within her voice.

"Dead." I said bluntly.

"... D-dead?" She said, widening her eyes at me.

"... Yeah." I said, nodding.

"You killed him?" I heard Dipper say.

"... Which other choice was it? Was it to let him get us or to get freed of his... choking method." I said. "There was no other way."

"..." Mabel looked over at the darkness in the hallway. The light from the flashlight shined it a bit as I saw Mr. Gleeful's leg. "... That's ... okay. He was trying to get us again. I think he deserves it."

"... Yeah." Dipper said quietly.

"... Well come on, I don't wanna be here any longer than you guys." Wendy said, looking a bit sick. Infection from her wound already slipping in. I nodded before we all got up carefully. We walked together in a group as Wendy lead the way. We walked around the corpse and out of the hallway. As we were coming upon Candy's cage, older voices started to chine in as we all halted. Mabel looked a bit confused as I looked into the hallway, seeing more light come through. And soon, they came and showed themselves.

A bunch of police officers came and escorted us out of here quickly as possible since we were all injured. Where did they come from? Weren't they under the control of the ...- Wait- I remember Gideon's magic disappearing when I saw the thorns from the house vanishing. Does that mean the people are slowly taking control of their own minds? That's good... that's good.

We returned with the others as there were a lot of cars outside of the warehouse. I widened my eyes in shock before getting dragged over to one of the ambulances. I turned my head towards the others, watching them greeting the group before getting taken away. I looked back at the medic and halted in front of the truck. They helped me in and told me to sit on the strecher. I did as I allowed them to do their work. I closed my eyes and faded into the dreams inside my head.

"Well! Looks like that's taken care of!" I heard the voice again. I looked over at the medium yellow light, flickering whenever it talks. "I'm glad you managed to kill that mortal on your own! What a whole start to your "recovery.""

"... Yeah... though I'm already on it. I still got a long way to go." I said, turning towards it. I sat down and placed my hands into my lap.

"Indeed. Does that mean I have to watch every part of your life continue without any drama?" It asked.

"If you want to watch drama, go watch a drama tv show." I said, glaring at it.

"I would IF I HAD MY BODY BACK!" It said, becoming red for a second.

"Oh well. You'll have to deal with me instead." I said, snickering quietly.

"... I swear, I wish I hadn't accepted that deal trillion years ago." It said. I smiled before lying down on the non-exist floor. I stared up at the light, watching trees, clouds, and skies pop into frame. I sat up and looked around me, eyeing the pine trees. I glanced at the grass, feeling it a bit. I sighed and smiled happily.

I'm glad I have my own dream back.

End of Chapter 68
