Peaceful Youth.

- Dipper's POV -

When I stepped out of the hospital on the day that Kahlil woke up, I wanted to turn around and go back inside. I didn't want to leave just yet, however, the doctors and nurses needed to do their job and it would take a while before we can go back to visit him again. They probably didn't realize he would have woken up from this coma. Though that's the case since they had astonishing faces and were rushing over to check and recheck everything in case it was just a "waking up" process. I don't think it was. If it was a waking-up process, then he wouldn't have spoken to me in my mind. With that being said, I have no idea how he woke up and just spoke in my mind. He never did that before. What could have caused that?

I looked over to my sister who was trying to get my attention for the last two minutes. She had a worried expression, telling me to not listen to the voices that got me in a trance. I thank her for that as Wendy led us back to the Mystery Shack. Once we said our goodbyes, we stepped into the shack. Somewhat, after hearing and seeing all of that. I knew I couldn't sleep properly due to the excitement that wouldn't leave my body.

After I manage to pass the first night, the rest went at ease. Without even thinking, I wanted to go back there immediately. Thank god that my sister is here to make me think about other things I needed to survive. She was excited as I was, however, our needs were important instead of just rushing out of the door like little kids wanting candy. So we went to do that and get prepared. Our grunkles stop us, which made us both frown in irritation. They wanted some tasks to be done around the shack. My sister was about to protest but I quickly shut her up. She huffed before we were sent away to do those tasks.

Soon we were finished, saying our goodbyes to our grunkles and heading outside the shack. We walked on the pathway and discussed what we could do when we get there. Though ... I stop her continuous ideas since a thought appeared in my mind. I told her along the lines of, we need to take things slow as he may not be up and running. She was sad but agreed to this approach.

When we arrived at first, the nurses were leaving his room with a tray full of food. They told us we were allowed to visit him. We both looked at each other with a frown before entering in. Is he not eating? Mabel sped up her pace over to his bed. "Hello, Kahlil!"

I heard grunts coming from there, making me walk over to them. "How you've been?" My sister asked.

I heard more grunts coming from him as I watch Kahlil slowly but surely rolled over onto his back to glare at us. "... I guess fine?" She said, frowning a bit. Guess we came at the wrong time.

'no. it's fine.'

I blinked at him, narrowing my eyes. "... Then cut your grunts."

"... I think it's fine! If he's grumpy right now we can come back another time!" My sister said though she looked confused at me.

I stared at her, giving her a confused look. "... why did you say that?" She asked. I looked at where I stood, seeing that I was closer to him than she was. So ... I'm guessing she can't hear his voice ... though I'm not sure if it's just me hearing it.

"... Well, remember that voice that I kept hearing yesterday?" I said, grabbing a chair to sit in.

"Yeah ... you said it was nothing." She said, turning around to find herself a chair.

I glanced at the door, noticing it was closed. I nodded to myself before watching my sister pull up a chair right beside the bed and next to me. "Well, it was Kahlil's voice."

"... You sure? I don't think it is." She said.

'... She SERIOUSLY doesn't believe you?' I heard his annoyed voice in my head. I sighed, glancing over at him. "Look who you talking about." I said, looking back at my sister.

"... Yeah? I mean, your mind might be playing tricks on you." She said, looking unsure.

"You still think my mind was making up voices in my head and one of them happens to copy his voice?" I said, narrowing my eyes. I saw movements in the bed before they stopped a second later. 'Oh god, I can't move.' I heard his voice once more. You can't move? I just saw your legs moving underneath the covers.

"Yes?" She said, still looking unsure. "We can't know for sure."

I blinked at her, getting out of my chair. "Then let's switch seats."

"Why?-"

"Just trust me." I said, getting out of the way. She sighed and got out of hers, sitting in mines as I sat in her chair. I crossed my arms and stared at her while she got comfortable. She looked around and looked back at me.

"so... what-" She flinched from something, looking frankly around. A grin slowly appeared on my face.

"Hear the voice?" I asked.

"... Why- ... Yes? Wait- why does it..." She answered, stammering before slowly looking over to Kahlil who was giving her a death glare. She squeaked before turning her head away. "WHY DO I GET GLARED AT THE MOST?!"

"I don't know." I muttered. I wonder why. I soon scooted in, telling her to move back a bit.

"And ... why am I hearing his voice in my head?" She asked as she moved the chair back. "Every time I say or ask a question, he angrily answers it. Also, why is he angry?"

"I don't know." I said, shrugging slightly. Soon we were about close to him as we could be.

"Am I going to be answered by your 'I don't know's?" She asked, glaring at me.

"To be honest with you, I don't want to say anything that might hurt your heart." I said. "So that's why I say it. But at the same time, I don't know what he has planned in his head."

"I thought you knew him!" She said.

"What makes you think I know what he's thinking?!" I said, glaring at her.

'... Mabel ... I swear, you don't use your brain.' I heard Kahlil say in our heads.

"I DO!" She said, turning towards him.

'you don't trust me.' He voiced. She huffed before folding her arms with an irritated expression.

"Anyway ... how come I saw the nurses coming out with a full tray of food?" I asked. I watched him looked away from us as he slowly turned his body from us.

"... Kahlil?" Mabel said, giving a concerned look at him.

'... nothing of you guys' concern.' He voiced.

"You know we're going to do the opposite right?" I asked.

'Just please drop it.'

"Why? Eating gives you strength!" Mabel said, smiling.

'I just ... don't feel like eating. I don't feel like doing anything.' He voiced.

"But ... if you don't eat, you're not going to regain your strength." She said, frowning.

'so? if it means starving myself, then I can starve myself. But then again, I can't die so... you have that.' He voiced, his voice giving off an oddly dead tone. It's weird hearing it in my mind rather than outside of it. But other than that, this gives me a worry vibe.

"The nurses are going to force you to eat, you know that, right?" Mabel asked.

'let them do so, it's not like they'll know what's wrong with me.' He voiced.

"... Kahlil. It pains me that you're in this state of mood-"

'It'll be best if we talk about something else.' I paused from talking when he decided to cut off my speech.

"Avoiding this all together is not going to help you." I said, a serious tone slipping in my voice.

'... I liked it when I was in that coma, which I never knew I was in.' He voice. My heart sank as I felt my breathing quicken a bit.

"Kahlil! Don't say such words!" Mabel raising her voice.

'can-'

"No. We're going to solve this. I know you cannot do anything right now, but that doesn't mean you can lay in a moody set all day. You cannot lose hope for yourself. What happened to that motivation of pushing forward? Did it shatter and disappear or is it still there? Deep inside, hiding within your soul? Didn't you want to live on? I know you did, I know you still do. But I bet you just didn't know what to do after waking up from a deep sleep." I said, interrupting his ... telepathy? I think that's what it's called. Anyway. "I-"

'I feel so fucking weak right as if I cannot fucking move. Well, I can, but I can't even sit up! I can't do any of that stuff! So, I can't fucking eat! I can't do anything, Dipper!' I heard his pained voice as my heart ached so much.

"Then allow us to help you." I offered. "We can train your muscles to become normal once again."

"Yeah!" Mabel said, agreeing with me.

'... alright... I guess have no choice at all.' He said in our heads, returning back to being dead.

"I'm sorry, but with all of the exercise and everything, you'll be good as new!" She said, smiling. "It may be a long process, but we'll do our best to make it worth it."

'... mhm...'

"Also! Your life is so much worth it!" She chirped.

"Even if it may seem like a mistake, it's not wasteful yet and you know it." I said.

"THAT DIDN'T HELP THE SITUATION, DIPPER." My sister said, raising her voice at me.

"Sorry! I have a different view-" I stopped when I heard weak laughter from Kahlil.

'oh my god... you guys ... you guys act like children sometimes, I swear.' He said in our heads.

"You ... You laughed!" Mabel chirped, turning back to him.

'Oh? Is that an achievement?'

"No. But it's a start." I said, smiling.

'... oh boy...'

And we did just that. We decided to try and get him eating by sitting him up. Mabel went to get the nurse as they came back with a fresh tray of food. After another wave of convincing, he managed to eat from the hospital food. This brightens both of our faces. Actually, he might be right about us acting like children. Afterward, one of the nurses stayed back and checked on everything before telling him some basic instructions. Such as moving his fingers, wiggling his toes, etc. Some moments we had to encourage to do so. I think Mabel was convincing enough as he obeyed the instructions. He could barely move them, though that was good news for the nurse. They said that they'll have to keep waking his muscles back up to get him moving around the room. That'll be fun to watch or if I'm not here, lovely to hear about it.

We left the hospital when it was time to go. Though this was just the start of our plan to make Kahlil's life here a lot better. Though in his terms, a lot worse. Whatever. I just don't want to see him all sad. It pains me when he goes into his depressive state. Each day we would try to visit him and check on his process. Since school had started up two weeks ago, things were a bit difficult but we managed through it. Especially the volunteering role of helping every townfolk get up to their feet. So far, everything's good in our favor. Maybe then we don't need to help them anymore.

Anyway, back to the process, the first week of helping Kahlil train his muscles was a bit slow. I thought it would take a few days or so ... instead, it didn't turn up that way. He was really serious when he said he couldn't move. It took him a lot of strength to even move an arm if he could. And even if it drained his energy, that arm didn't move an inch. I could see that we have a lot of processes to work on. Even with the whole telepathy thing. Although, I'll wait a little later when he regains the ability to walk again.

The second week came around and it seemed to be slightly better than the last. He was getting better at waking his muscles and moving around a bit in his bed. He even sat up without my help. I'm pretty happy that we're making a process on this. Though, I didn't quite like it when he said something after he sat up on his own. Making little comments as he's gonna miss me nursing him and such. Ugh. I can't wait until that day comes so that he can stop trying to flirt with me. Unfortunately, that will be never.

As three days go by, he was getting better already, causing hope in Mabel and my heart to sprout quicker. That is such good news! Maybe soon he might be discharged from the hospital. However, I am getting too far ahead of myself. Though, my excitement says otherwise, because when Wendy told me a few days after we visited him, he was discharged. I don't remember if I shrieked out of happiness or not, but I'll just pretend I did. A lot of positive emotions flowed within me that day and I immediately wanted to visit him right away. Though I couldn't abandon the task that my grunkles gave me.

Apparently, I ended up waiting until the next day, as their tasks for us kept piling on. During that school day, Mabel and I decided to do something nice for Kahlil when we get released. What we wanted to do is recover the classes he missed so he can be ready whenever he comes back to school. Though ... when upon arriving after school years and seeing at his mother was overly worried about him constantly ... it'll take some time to convince her otherwise.

For the entire third week, we discussed topics that were related to school, life, etc. Though we ended up getting distracted and doing something else that bore us to death. Speaking of which, I've decided to bring up the telepathy ability with him. In previous times, he's been speaking a few words but only when he wants something from the nurses or if he's trying to speak using his vocals rather than his mind. I could tell he was having difficulty since he didn't seem like he wanted to stop using telepathy. Ehh... to be honest, it's a nice ability to have though it did get annoying over time. A bit too annoying to the point I moved away from him one day during that week.

I think ... he took notice of it and decided to only use his new ability when he needs it. And soon he was back on track with practicing certain words. Though he did improve over time quickly as I believe his mind was a lot stronger than before. To add to that, Kahlil told us that if he ever uses that ability, we could do anything to stop him from doing so. We agree on that as we jumped back on the topic of school.

"I should have become popular with you guys! Why didn't they notice me?!" I heard Percy whine. Ugh... great.

"Maybe because you weren't there when they rescued the missing teens." Alex said, rolling her eyes. It was three days since my last summary discussion of that recovery plan with Kahlil.

"Well, that short kid had you under his control, that's probably the main reason it happened." Cole said, halting his footing. We soon stopped afterward, hanging by the wall outside of the school's front yard.

"If I could have escaped, then I would have ended up riding with you guys! Instead, this freak had to replace me." Percy said, glaring at Lee.

"Hey, don't call me a freak just because I was there." Lee frowned.

"Don't pick on him." I said, giving Percy a glare.

"Really? What is the main reason-"

"I wanted to help!" Lee said, giving him a disgusted look.

"Really? Last time I checked, you type of guys are weak with these type of things." Percy said.

"What?" Lee said, looking confused at him.

"Of course you're oblivious to the obvious fact." Percy said, facepalming.

"Percy quit it." Alex said, turning away from her conversation with Mabel. "Stop bullying the kid."

"Why? You guys should be agreeing with me! But instead, you're protecting this freak who going to take all the girls now." Percy said grunting in annoyance.

"... Um ... last time I checked I wasn't attracted to girls." Lee said, which made Percy look at him in shock.

"... You're not?"

"No ..." Lee said, walking over to stand by me. "I'm not."

"... H-How?" Percy asked.

"I don't know, it just happens." Lee said, shrugging as he looked uncomfortable.

"But-"

"Okay! Okay. That's enough!" Mabel said, raising her voice. "We're done talking about this!"

"Fine!" Percy huffed, crossing his arms.

"Thanks for that." Alex said, smiling at her.

"No problem! Now. Everyone knows what day it is?" Mabel asked.

"... No? Is it Single Day?" Lee asked.

"No!" Mabel said, staring at him with wide eyes.

"Well for some of us it is." Percy said.

"I- ... yeah ... but it doesn't have to be a part of that! I ... I pretty much just want to hand people chocolate." Mabel said, smiling at them.

"For ... love?" Percy asked.

"If it's for friend love, then yes." She said, turning to him. He looked so disappointed as she took it a different way.

'Wait. It's valentine's day?!' I flinched from the voice in my head, being so loud. I sighed and elbowed Kahlil that was on my other side. "Sorry."

"It's fine." I said, giving him a small smile.

"It's just that I forgot it was." He said.

"YOU GUYS ARE A COUPLE. YOU SHOULD KNOW IT CAME UP." Percy said. I turned to him, giving him a dull look.

"Well I'm sorry, half-wit but I was recovering from my coma that was distracting me." Kahlil said, making me snicker quietly.

"Oh that's right, you doing okay after it?" Alex asked, looking over at the blond.

"I'm doing well, thanks for asking." He answered, giving her a small smile.

"No problem!"

"Well, I'm heading home to do my homework." Cole announced, turning away to walk off. "Have a well day."

"Wait! Don't just leave yet! We agreed to walk home together!" Percy said, grabbing his backpack and rushing after him. I could see the two 9th graders argue in the background. I shook my head before turning towards the two girls.

"It was nice talking to you, Alex. See you next time!" Mabel said, smiling brightly.

"You too, Mabel. Have a good day you all!" Alex said, walking away from us and in her own direction.

"Well. The day is coming along well!" Mabel said, turning towards the three of us. "Are you leaving soon, Lee?"

"Oh. I wanted to stay for a bit longer." Lee answered, leaning on the wall.

"Alright." She nodded before turning her focus to the blond. "You know, I still can't believe you forgot to tell us you went to school yesterday."

"Yeah ... it was ... more of a ... test for my mother. Letting her know that I can take care on my own now." Kahlil answered.

"Is she overprotective?" Lee asked.

"... Maybe but that wasn't quite the case. She gets extremely worried if I get a severe injury or got myself stuck in a situation." He answered.

"Oh. I get it then." Lee nodded his head, turning his gaze back to Mabel.

"I see ..." My sister said, folding her arms. "... I'm quite curious when we didn't visit you, did you try to go into the jungle?"

"... Well, you know me too well." Kahlil said, looking away from her.

"Of course you did." She said, sighing.

"... Wait, you go into the jungle?" Lee asked.

"Actually we all do." Mabel said, walking a bit closer to us.

"Wait- you all?!"

"Yep." I said, smiling.

"... How was it like in there? Was it like the stories that we heard from before?" Lee asked. "Were there dangerous creatures or-"

"No there isn't. Unless you go deep into the jungle, then danger awaits for you." Kahlil answered, cutting him off from making any more questions.

"The jungle is actually much more peaceful and calmer than you think." Mabel said.

"Wow. My mom always told me that the jungle was a bad place, but hearing you guys enter in it ... makes me curious. Though I don't want to." Lee said, shaking his head. "No thank you. I think I stick to normal forests."

"The jungle around us isn't normal. Don't think you see giant tropical trees with their size being as tall as pine trees, the only difference is that, they're much bigger than pine trees." I said.

"Yeah. I'd rather not get lost in there." He said.

"That could be a possibility, who knows." Mabel said, shrugging. We soon were greeted by some students who approach us. They were the usual ... "fans" that probably came here to say their thanks to us. We said our welcomes before they rushed away as they whispered to one another.

'Don't hit me on this one. I might ... ugh ... I don't like seeing my future being flooded with popularity again.' I heard Kahlil's voice in my head. He sounded upset and a little scared? Why should you be scare of people who just wanted to say thanks to you? '... remember the swarming part?' Nevermind. I understand your problem. He chuckled before I glanced down at the grass.

"... Mabel?" Someone said. This voice ... it seems all too real to believe that he came back. I slowly looked up to spot the guitar guy. My face twisted in disgust as my hands squeeze into fists. What the f-ck does he wants? My sister turned to face Mermando as she made a disagreeable face at him.

"... Long time no see..." She greeted him with a low voice. I can already tell she was becoming uncomfortable.

"... Yeah. Uh ... I heard about other students talking about you alot." He began. "So, I was wondering if you would like to grab some shakes with me."

You filthy piece of sh-t. 'Jeez, calm down, don't rain your violence against us.' Shut up, Kahlil.

"Uh... no thanks." Mabel said, taking a step back.

"Why not?" He asked, slight anger twisting on his face before it disappeared a second later.

"Well, because I don't want to." She said, staring at him with a firm look.

"Can you at least give it a try? I do want to make up for what I have done to you before." He said.

She said no, you idiot. Stop trying to come back for more. I soon begin to glare at him as I wanted him out of here.

"No. I'm afraid, I cannot. If you're trying to ask to get back together again, then that is also a no. I don't have feelings for you anymore as I have moved on." She said, standing her ground.

"I'm sure-"

"Mermando. I told you two times now that I reject your offer." She said, soon her stare turns into a glare.

He narrowed his eyes and glared back at her. "Fine, but you should know that after all this time, you're missing out." He hissed before turning and walking away. She shivered before turning back to us with a frown.

"... Now I understand why you don't like being popular, Dipper." She said. "... People take advantage of your status."

"Yeah ..." I said, having a poker face. That ... just sucks.

"Anyway, I'm glad I moved off of him and found someone else to like!" She chirped.

"Like who?" Kahlil asked. She dropped her smile as the realization came on her face. She stared at us with wide eyes before slowly becoming red.

"Ooh. Do you have a crush on somebody?" Lee asked.

"No!" She said, lying.

"Yes, you do." I said.

"I don't!" She said, glaring at me.

"You can't lie when your face is red." I said.

"I-I-I. This is just-"

"Jeez, months ago you said that we were bad at asking each other out on a date. And now look at you. All blushy in the face as you become shy about who you like. Don't worry, we won't judge here, Nosy Bug." Kahlil said, raising a brow.

"... I do agree with you on me being nosy. But ..." She trailed off, glancing to the ground before looking back up at us quickly. "Okay! You win!"

"Who's this person you like?" I asked. I think I know who this person is. A few weeks ago when I tried asking her about the blush that revolves around Pacifica, though I never got an answer about that. Though ... I could be mistaken.

"... My interest in... girls have ... suddenly appeared. Not by choice or anything it just ... appeared right beside my interest for guys. Now, I'm not saying it's a bad thing ... maybe it was always there ... I just didn't notice it was there. But anyway. The crush that I like is Pacifica..." She said, waving her hands in awkward and shy positions. "Now, now, I know that's wrong because she's my best friend so-"

"I dated my best friend. What makes you think that's wrong?" I asked, cutting her off.

"..." She stared at me with a "help me" look. I could tell she was struggling to form a proper sentence.

"Why don't you ask her out today?" Lee asked.

"It's not that simple! I have to get dressed, get prepare, and hope my outfit decisions take up an entire day." She said. I sighed. Why does our shyness for crushes run in the family? I spotted someone familiar in the background as they were approaching us. I looked back at my sister and stood up from the wall.

"How about this. Instead of doing that." I walked over to her. "Why not go out with how you are?"

"Dipper! I know you wouldn't-"

"Understand. Yes. I wouldn't under this overall girl stuff ... though I think, just for today, I think you can ask her today. And when I mean today." I paused and turned her around to face the blonde. "I mean now."

"PACIFICA! Hi! How are you? Ignore what just happened." Mabel said quickly, looking embarrassed. I snickered before walking back to the wall.

"... Hi. U-Uh... can I talk to y-you for a minute?" Pacifica asked, having mixed facial expressions of shyness and confusion. ...Dont tell me.

"Sure!" Mabel said, nodding. I leaned against the wall as the two girls walked away. Well, whatever Pacifica has to talk to her about, I hope it goes well.

"Well, looks like the romantic prince is in-"

"Don't you dare start." I hissed, cutting Kahlil off. He gave me a disappointing look before gazing away. I heard Lee chuckle before I turned my head over to him.

"Well, it was nice hanging out with you guys. I'll probably head home now. Mom must be worried about me." He said. "Bye!"

"Bye, Lee. Take care." I said, waving at him as he nodded and walked away from us. I sighed and looked up at the sky.

"Sooo, now that we're the only ones left. Why don't we take a detour after we put our things at home?" I heard Kahlil ask.

"The detour is the jungle, isn't it?" I asked, looking at him.

"Yeah. You don't mind?" He asked, gazing at me.

"I don't mind. Though I do hope you remember how to travel within the jungle." I answered, standing up from the wall.

"I do, don't worry." He said softly. We did just that as we meet up by the sign at the end of the pathway to the mystery shack. Once we did so, we went into the jungle. We walked under the mist of the trees, glancing up at them as the snow melted off a bit. I looked at the different nature, staring at the flowers and ... the giant flytrap. Why isn't that thing extinct? I shivered before following the blond. We soon climbed trees and traveled on the branch. Instead of me slipping, Kahlil almost did. I caught him and held him close to me. I eyed him before he narrowed his eyes and took the lead, trying to pretend as if nothing happened. I snickered quietly before following him.

We soon arrived at where we were heading for. The Branch Bridge. A massive, gigantic branch that might as well be a fallen tree trunk at this point. You know, it's been a while since I've been here. 'Or we have been here.' I heard his voice in my head.

"What I have told you?" I asked, staring at the blond who was walking over to the middle.

He halted before turning towards me. "You gonna punish me?~"

"... When you put it that way, no. I am not." I said, taking a step back. You know what, never mind, I don't want to be here.

"Aww, don't be like that." He said, approaching me.

"Maybe if I don't act like this, then maybe you wouldn't begin your flirtatious ways." I said, narrowing my eyes.

"... True, true, but..." His voice trailed off as he grabbed one of my arms. "At the same time, I just go along with the flow." He finished before pulling me forward gently as my legs obeyed.

"And then you trap me in your mist." I said, staring at him.

"Yep. Though, you happen to agree to it." He said, smirking.

"I bet you couldn't wait to do the things you wanted to do to me once you left that hospital." I said quietly.

"Oh wow, you know me much more than I thought you would." He said, halting his footing. "However, you're forgetting about something..."

"... Like what?" I asked, looking confused.

"... Hmmm, even if I wanted to, I have to wait until this hand is healed." He said, looking at his right hand. It was in a cast, making me remember from the times before.

"Right. Well, I'm safe!" I said, jokingly.

"... Well that was mean." He said, frowning.

"You know I'm joking right?" I asked, glancing up at him with a smile.

"That was still mean." He said as he glared at me.

"Okay. I guess I can't joke around you anymore." I said as my smile turned into a frown.

"... Don't be sad, I know you didn't mean it." He said, looking guilty.

"... yeah ..." I said, continuing my frown as I glanced away.

"... Now you're making me feel guilty." He said, saddens lurked in his voice.

"Good." I joked, looking back at him with a smirk.

He widened his eyes, realizing the trick he just walked into. He soon narrowed his eyes and glared at me. "Really? You're gonna play with my feelings like that?"

"You said it yourself, you know I don't mean it when I say it." I said.

"... True..." He grumbled, looking irritated.

"Did I make you mad again?" I asked, tilting my head slightly.

"What does it look like?" He hissed oddly, almost as if it was a joke.

"Well, If I did, then I can let you do what you want to do right now." I said. I watched him widened his eyes a bit, getting caught off guard. And somehow, I can see right through your jokes. I think he took my thought personally because he looked or ... try to pretend to be angry. It wasn't really convincing me otherwise as I snicker at his reaction. I didn't bother to pay attention when Kahlil pulled me with one arm. Though I did freeze up a bit when he landed a gentle kiss on my lips. I felt his other arm wrap around me as I shook out of my frozen state. Before I could give in, he parted away. I blinked and stared at him.

"That's all you getting since you kept teasing me." He said quietly, giving me an irritated look. I frowned, a little guilty at the last jokes I did. He perked a smile on his lips before letting out a snicker. "Anyway..." He trailed off, looking off to the side, getting something from his back pocket. "I think you forgot about this at the hospital..." He pulled out a rose that was recognized immediately as I still had that bow on the stem.

"... Whoops." I said quietly.

"Don't worry, it didn't do no harm." He said. "Kinda thought at first you wanted to give the gift back, but then I remember you didn't pay no attention to it whatsoever."

"Yeah... I was too focused on you." I said quieter. He handed it to me as I grabbed it, staring at it.

"Awww, how cute.~" He said, backing away from me.

I sighed, tired of being called cute. "Besides that, how is this rose alive?" I asked.

"Magic.~" He snickered. I looked up at him as he grinned.

"... I should've guessed that first." I mumbled. He turned away and stared out over to the skies. I followed his gaze and stared at the blue skies. Wow. A lot has passed within this jungle. We were just people who didn't know they were a part of a huge problem within the town. Well, we weren't the problem, it was the controlling folks who decided to make decisions in their hands. Making choices for the townfolks like puppets under their hands without us even knowing there was such a thing.

And now, we're in the aftermath where the town is acting a lot more alive than before. I breathe in and out, glancing down at the rose, seeing some tiny sparks generating from the petals. I want to recall all of the things that we've done, but I would end up going on a long rant about it. I flinched when one of the thorns poked my finger when I was reposting my fingers on it. 'So much time has passed and it's becoming a new beginning for all of us.' I heard Kahlil's voice in my head.

Yeah ... I wonder what will come across our paths next time.

The End (^^)

I'm going to miss writing these characters in this fanfic.

Anyway. Here we are, the end of the story.

I hope you guys enjoyed reading this as much as I did. Even if you didn't leave comments, that's okay! Knowing that I've gotten views on it helped me move forward and let me know that people were reading my story!

What I'll be working on, for now, are a remake of a fanfic story that I hated how it is and a new fanfic story.

They may take a while to upload them, so no rushes until then. ^^

Anyway, this will be my temporary goodbyes until I see you guys on a new fanfic story.

Stay safe and have a good day!

See you soon. ^^
