"F-Father...?!" was all the Franziska could utter, sweat pouring down her face as the man now known as her father glared down at her with narrowed eyes.
Everyone else in the room watched in silence, making sure they were far away from the von Karmas as they can. Maya and Gumshoe especially wanted to avoid the von Karmas, holding each other as they back themselves to the corner of the wall. Iris, meanwhile, stepped a little further while keeping a safe distance. While she was cautious, she was intrigued.
She had only heard stories of Manfred von Karma. The man had quite the reputation in the world of law. He was a renowned prosecutor who went undefeated for 41 years, earning him numerous King of Prosecutor awards.
And seriously, the prosecutors have their own award, but not the defense? Iris thought to herself, a little bitter towards that fact. Still, though, seeing the man was awe-inspiring, yet terrifying. It was why she often called him the God of Prosecutors. Calling him a king wouldn't fit him.
"I raised you better than this, Franziska," Manfred said, his tone cold and stern. "Losing to a mere peasant twice...blaming others for your incompetence...failure, after failure, after failure!"
He then rose his cane and slammed the end to the floor, practically shaking the ground with it as Franziska began to step back. As she stepped backward, Manfred stepped forward, his anger and disappointment towards his daughter becoming more evident.
"And now what are you doing? Stalking the very whelp that defeated you?" he asked rhetorically, jabbing his cane at Iris, who giggled nervously before stepping back. "Trying to undo something that can't be undone? Bah! You've soiled the Von Karma name and dragged it through the mud long enough..."
Iris could practically hear Franziska's arm, her frightful expression contorting into a look of absolute despair, almost going on her knees as she felt the weight of her father's disappointment over her.
"I'm here to observe how you'll manage in this paltry case of yours," Manfred said. He then turned to the exit and began to walk away, only to halt as he glanced at Franziska. "Try not to embarrass our family name even further..."
And with that, Manfred left the scene, leaving an absolute crushed Franziska in his wake. Once he was gone, everyone slowly went back to work but was still affected by his presence as shown from the uncomfortable silence. Maya and Gumshoe looked at each other, unsure of what to do now, while Iris slowly went forward to the kneeling Franziska.
"Ms. von Karma?" she asked sympathetically, extending her hand to help Fransiska up. "I...I'm sorry to hear-"
"Save it!" Franziska snapped, slapping Iris' hand away. "I don't need your help, Ms. Iris Hawthorne, and I sure as hell don't need your damn pity!"
Iris frowned, taking a step back as Franziska stood up, the latter's hateful eyes still glaring at the former.
"I was at the top of my field, the worth successor of my father's legacy until you showed up and ruined everything!" she growled through her trembling voice, struggling to hold back tears. "Why...why can't I beat you!? I've lost to you twice already! Haven't I been humiliated enough!?"
"Ms. von Karma, I-"
"No! Nothing has changed between us, Ms. Iris Hawthorne!" Franziska shouted. "This time...this time I will defeat you! Even if it's the last thing I do...!"
Franziska then angrily shoved Iris away and stomped to the exit, more determined than ever to win this case and defeat her rival. Iris only stood by and watched as her rival stormed off. Iris sigh. While she still a grudge against the pompous prosecutor for being a consistent thorn in her defense attorney career, she had an idea of what she was going through right now. The desire for approval and love, as well as committing extreme acts to get it, reminded her all too well of her own relationship with Morgan and Dahlia. Like her past desire to be loved by her mother and sister, all Franziska wanted was the approval of her father...
Iris never thought she'd see the day, but she actually felt bad for Franziska von Karma.
"Well...that was...something," Maya remarked nervously.
"Yeah, she was always angry, but I never saw her like this before, pal," Gumshoe said, shaking his head in dismay.
"Yes..." Iris replied solemnly. "Still, we can't let this stop us now. Not if my sister is still in danger."
She then turned to Gumshoe. "We need to get back on track. Is there anything else we should know?"
Gumshoe paused to think. "Oh, yeah, we got another witness here, pal...Mr. Engarde's manager."
Iris and Maya perk up. "Ms. Andrews is here!?" they both exclaimed.
Gumshoe nodded. "Yeah, Ms. von Karma interrogated her before you both got here. We got a lot from her involving Mr. Engarde and his past relationship with Celeste Inpax."
"Hmm... This woman is another key to the case, judging by her being mentioned," Iris surmised.
"Yeah, pal," Gumshoe said. "She was Adrian Andrews' mentor a long time ago, but she ended up becoming Juan Corrida's manager. And then, a few months later..." Gumshoe's head then dropped down as he frowned. "Celeste Inpax died."
"But her death was a suicide, right?" Iris asked.
"Yeah, but there's a problem with that, pal..."
"A problem?"
"Her suicide note, pal. It went missing. No one could find it."
A suicide note that just vanished? Iris pondered, rubbing her chin.
"Ms. von Karma and the rest of the department suspect that someone had hidden it, pal," Gumshoe added.
"The suicide note? But how do you know Ms. Inpax had even written such a note?" Iris pressed.
Gumshoe sighed. "We don't have solid evidence yet...but we did find traces of ink on her right index finger, which makes the likelihood of a suicide note really high, pal."
"But who would hide such a thing...?"
"Ms. von Karma thinks it was Mr. Juan Corrida himself."
Iris and Maya gasped. "Th-The victim...?" Iris asked.
"He was the one who found her body, pal," Gumshoe explained. "It makes him the only person who had a chance to hide her suicide note."
Mr. Corrida hid his own manager's suicide note? But why? Iris wondered.
"So far, that's all the details we have on the suicide note," Gumshoe said before taking out a suicide report from his trenchcoat and handing it to Iris. "So if you wanna win this case, I think you should look more into it, pal. So far, we only got Part One."
"Certainly," Iris nodded, taking note of Gumshoe's words. "Wait, part one?"
"Yeah, there are multiple reports to this case, pal," Gumshoe explained further, taking out another suicide report. "Here's part two..."
Iris took the suicide report and began to skim through the contents. She gasped in shock. "The attempter's name is Adrian Andrews!?"
Maya also looked surprised. "She... She tried to kill herself...? She doesn't seem like the kind of person to try and kill herself..."
"That's what she wants people to think, pal," Gumshoe sighed. "Truth is she's got a co-dependency problem."
"Co-dependency?" Iris repeated, dreading that word. "Wait..."
She then took out the first suicide report before glancing at the second. "Ms. Andrews' suicide attempt was a few days after the death of Celeste Inpax."
"That's right, pal," Gumshoe said glumly. "After her attempted suicide, Adrian Andrews started attending counseling sessions..."
Iris sighed. "Let me guess...she's a person who looks for someone she can trust unconditionally. And once she finds that someone, she blindly follows them. Without someone to guide her, she feels uneasy and can't carry herself through life."
Gumshoe tilted her head. "Y-Yeah, that's about right. How'd you know that?"
Because I know exactly how that feels, Iris answered in her mind, feeling nothing but absolute empathy towards Ms. Andrews. She knew what it was like to feel lost in the world, considering her dark childhood. It was why she was so easily manipulated by Dahlia in the past, something that she grew out of thanks to her mentor Diego. To this day, she was thankful that he stepped into her life and made her the woman she was now. If he never showed up, she might have ended up like Ms. Andrews...
"We need to go talk to Ms. Andrews," Iris said seriously.
"I'll take you to her," Gumshoe said. "She's still in the interrogation room since Ms. von Karma wanted to be thorough in talking to witnesses. I can't go with you though. Chances are Ms. von Karma will already be there."
. . .
Sept. 19
Criminal Affairs Department~ Interrogation Room
"Ah, I believe this is all the info I need," Franziska said as she stacked all notes she had written together. "I appreciate your cooperation, Adrian Andrews."
"It's no problem at all," Ms. Andrews said. "Does this mean I can go now?"
"Of course-"
Suddenly, the doors of the interrogation room open, revealing Iris and Maya as they stepped inside.
Franziska growled. "What are you doing here!?"
"Doing my job like you are, Ms. von Karma," Iris answered calmly.
"You've got some nerve, following me around..." the pompous prosecutor snarled.
"Following you?" Iris scoffed. "You're the one doing the following!"
"Yeah!" Maya chimed in, glaring at Franziska. "Like how you're always following Detective Gumshoe!"
Franziska looked genuinely offended by that. "Me? Following after Scruffy...? Don't make me laugh. I'll show you something interesting... little girl."
She then took out a strange device that let out strange beeping.
...*beep* *beep*... ...*beep* *beep*... ...*beep* *beep*...
"Wh-What is that?" Maya asked.
"An electromagnetic receiver," Franziska explained. "I planted a tracking device on that detective. And with this, I know that fool's every move."
So that noise we heard was this receiver, Iris thought. I feel really sorry for poor Detective Gumshoe now...
"Now then... Let's stop wasting time. Adrian Andrews!"
Ms. Andrews tensed up. "Y-Yes...?"
"Think hard about what we just discussed. Understood!?"
"A-Alright..." Ms. Andrews stammered, her body almost trembling.
What were those two talking about? Iris wondered as she observed Franziska and Ms. Andrews, the latter looking more than a little dazed. Franziska then turned to give Iris one last harsh glare before storming off, leaving Iris and Maya alone with Ms. Andrews.
Once she was gone, Iris turned to Andrews with a sheepish smile before sitting down to where von Karma had sat.
"I didn't expect you'd be here," Ms. Andrews said.
"I didn't expect you'd be here either," Iris replied. "However, I have a job to do, and I needed to ask a few more questions to help me clear this case."
"It's not like anything I can say will help you," Ms. Andrews said. "I already talked with Ms. von Karma. Besides, I need to get back to work."
"You'll get back to work as soon as you're done helping me with mine, Ms. Andrews," Iris told her sternly. "So please, cooperate with me."
Ms. Andrews hesitated for a moment before sighing in dismay, taking out a white business card and fiddling with it to relieve stress. Maya blinked and narrowed her eyes at the card.
"What do you want to talk about?" Ms. Andrews asked reluctantly.
Iris smiled, tugging at her magatama to reveal Ms. Andrews' four Psyche Locks. Alright, time to do this, Iris thought before taking a deep breath and giving Ms. Andrews a stern stare.
"You remembered that I asked you why was Juan Corrida murdered?" Iris asked rhetorically. "If you ask me, I think you know the reason he was killed."
Andrews hummed in thought, glancing away from Iris as she continued fiddling with the white card in her hand.
"Why are you hiding things?" Iris pressed further. "Don't you realize you're putting Mr. Engarde's life in danger by your actions?"
"Why do you ask questions for which I have no answer?" Ms. Andrews retorted. "The truth is, I was not that close to Mr. Corrida."
"You were not that close...?" Iris repeated questioningly before taking out the magazine clipping Ini had given her, showing it to Ms. Andrews. "Funny, this says otherwise."
Ms. Andrews narrowed her eyes at Iris after glancing at the clipping. "A silly third-rate tabloid article? If you even had half your wits about you, you wouldn't believe such rubbish."
"Well, it seems quite a few people bought into this story," Iris replied calmly.
"Hmph. As to be expected in a world filled with crooks and liars..." Ms. Andrews muttered cynically, glancing away from Iris for a brief moment before turning back to her. "In any case, I despise interpersonal relationships like that."
"I see... However..." Iris paused for a moment. "What if there was a need for you to get close to someone...?"
Ms. Andrews scoffed. "Me? Need to get close to Mr. Corrida? As if there was ever such a need."
"Unless you needed to get close to him for Celeste Inpax's sake."
Iris watched Ms. Andrews lose her cold expression as she gasped in shock, her first Psyche Lock breaking.
"Why do you know about Celeste!?" she suddenly demanded, taking Iris aback.
The rookie attorney gave Ms. Andrews a sympathetic stare. "Ms. Inpax... She committed suicide, didn't she?"
Ms. Andrews' silence was the answer Iris needed.
"But it looks like no one knows why," Iris continued. "Right before her death, she was Juan Corrida's manager. So, I believe you got close to Mr. Corrida so you could find out more about her suicide."
Ms. Andrews then growled at Iris. "Y-You have a great imagination," she said angrily. "You may have a future yet as a slimy muckraker for a putrid third-rate tabloid!"
Iris blinked, a bit surprised at the woman's hostility. "M-Ms. Andrews...?"
"Th-There was no mystery surrounding her death!" she stammered. "None. It would be pointless for me to force myself into a relationship for nothing!"
" I don't believe you were completely at ease with the way her suicide was resolved," Iris said calmly. "After all, Ms. Inpax's suicide note wasn't found."
Ms. Andrews' eyes widened, her pupils dilating to the size of pinpricks as she processed what Iris had said.
"It looks like the police were under the suspicion that someone had hidden it," Iris continued. "Like maybe the person who discovered her body, Mr. Corrida."
"J... Juan?" Ms. Andrews whimpered.
"And I believe you thought the same thing! That is why you became intimate with Mr. Corrida!"
Iris' suspicions were confirmed as the second Psyche Lock broke. She smirked at that until Ms. Andrews suddenly dropped the card she fiddled with and slammed her palms against the table, glaring at Iris as she struggled to hold back tears.
"I-I've sat by quietly and listened to your insulting ramblings long enough!" she cried, Iris only responding with a sympathetic expression. "Celeste was indeed my mentor, however, allow me to say this again: It had nothing to do with me! I didn't even know that her suicide note was never found! I'm a person who doesn't care about what goes on in the lives of others!"
"...I don't think that's who you really are."
Ms. Andrews blinked. "...What?"
Iris paused, trying to think of the best way to say it, but sighed as she realized that she had to be blunt with this. "Ms. Andrews...I know you went through it too."
"Went through what?!" Ms. Andrews demanded.
"A suicide."
Ms. Andrews' expression felt unreadable as she simply paused, staring at Iris as her body began to feel numb.
"Ms. Andrews, you look and act like a very strong woman who has it all together," Iris said. "You don't ask for anyone's help and you live by yourself."
"Y-Yes. I've been very independent ever since I can remember-"
"We all know it's a facade, Ms. Andrews," Iris interrupted, causing Ms. Andrews to tense up even further. "You've always searched out people on whom you can depend."
"Th-That's...!" Ms. Andrews tried to deny it, but couldn't say the words.
"You were dependent on Ms. Inpax, weren't you? Which is why... When she passed away, you lost everything you had..."
"S-Stop!" Ms. Andrews pleaded as the third Psyche Lock shattered. She breathed heavily as her body trembled from the sheer stress of everything that Iris laid on her. After a moment of silence, she then began to explain. "When Celeste passed away so suddenly like that...died a death of my own. But...no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't stop thinking about what had become of her note."
Iris felt guilty for forcing this onto Ms. Andrews' but she still needed to press further. "You must have heard about the police report...the one that said the police suspected Mr. Corrida of hiding Ms. Inpax's note..." she paused for a few seconds. "You heard about it, and thought to recover it from him by getting close, am I right?
Ms. Andrews didn't respond, but Iris could tell from her pained expression what the answer was.
"If that's the case, then everything changes," Iris said, catching Ms. Andrews off guard.
"Wh-What do you mean?" she asked.
"What topic did we start this conversation on again?"
"It was why was the victim killed..." Ms. Andrews answered hesitantly.
"Exactly. Somehow, Ms. Andrews..." Iris hesitated for a moment. "It seems that you have become the one most likely to want Mr. Corrida dead..."
Ms. Andrews' eyes lit up in surprise. "M-Me...?"
"Ms. Inpax was everything to you," Iris said. "...and then she died. And you would do anything to find out why she killed herself. ...Even commit murder."
"Murder...!?" Ms. Andrews gasped in horror, the fourth and final Psyche Lock finally shattering. "I-I'd never-!"
"I'm not accusing you, Ms. Andrews," Iris said firmly. "I'm just pointing out the facts."
Ms. Andrews continued to glare at the lawyer for a while before finally confessing. "It's true. I am a woman who can only live in insecurity. I'm physically small, and I don't really have a lot of self-confidence. I've pushed against all that, though... I've tried to live strongly. I never wanted anyone to find out the truth..."
"Ms. Andrews..." Maya whispered, sympathetically.
"This one thing... It's the one thing I wanted to take with me to the grave... It was my secret. Mine and mine alone..." Ms. Andrews said, biting her lips as she tried her hardest not to break down in tears.
"I... I'm sorry," Iris said, staring at Ms. Andrews sadly.
"You probably think I'm a worthless human being right now, don't you?"
"Not at all," Iris said quickly. "I know what it feels like to lose a mentor you loved."
Ms. Andrews blinked, genuinely surprised.
"Before I met my mentor, I was just like you honestly," Iris began. "A scared girl dependant on the love and approval of others. I was so easily manipulated back then, and I would've had my life ruined by it if it weren't for him."
Iris smiled fondly as she remembered past moments with the late Diego Armando. "He took me in his wing after saving me, and well, made me who I am today. I still feel like I haven't thanked him probably now that he's...gone."
"I-I'm sorry to hear that," Ms. Andrews said sincerely.
"It's alright," Iris assured. "He might be gone, but I make sure his memory lives on. I follow all of his teachings, and one of them is to find the truth. It's all I'm here to do, Ms. Andrews. To find the truth and resolve this matter once and for all...so please, tell me everything..."
Ms. Andrew hesitated for a moment before sighing in defeat. "After Celeste passed away, I heard that someone had hidden her suicide note... and that someone was Juan Corrida. Celeste... Without her..." her lips quivered as her body trembled. "...without her, I became scared. Everything...everyone seemed like they were out to get me."
"So you got close to Mr. Corrida to recover her suicide note, correct?" Iris asked.
Ms. Andrews let out a dark chuckle. "Looks like that tabloid reported the truth after all. Ironic, isn't it?"
"Well, as they say, where there's smoke, there's fire," Iris remarked.
"And if they purposely add fuel to the fire, they keep the celebrity world burning," Ms. Andrews spat out bitterly. "But as for the suicide note? I didn't and wouldn't kill anyone for it. It just doesn't suit me, that's all."
"I understand," Iris said. "Well, I believe that's all I have. Thank you for your time, Ms. Andrews."
Ms. Andrews nodded. "You're welcome. Now, I have some work that I must do so..."
"I understand," Iris said, about to leave as well.
"Oh, I have one small favor to ask," Ms. Andrews said. "My... attempted suicide... I'd like for you to keep it a secret."
"Ms. Andrews..." Maya whispered.
"If... If people found out about my weakness... I... I would sooner choose to die than to live."
"No need to worry," Iris assured her with a gentle smile. "We'll make sure no one finds out."
"Thank you very much," Andrews smiled gratefully before picking up the white card she left on the table.
"Hey, Iris..." Maya whispered to her cousin. "Can I ask you something...?"
"What is it?" Iris asked.
"Ms. Andrews has been playing with that card in her hand since a little while back..." Maya said. "Look at what's on it...!"
Iris raised her brow at that and looked at the card. She barely contained her gasp as she saw it. "Ms. Andrews, what is that card you're holding...?"
"Huh? O-Oh, this?" Ms. Andrews said as she held it up. "I don't quite know. It just suddenly appeared in my handbag..."
"What is it? It looks like... A seashell?" Iris said quietly, Viola's words echoing in her mind.
"That's de Killer for you. Not only is he good at his job, but he takes pride in it. He's so prideful in it that he actually leaves a calling card with a seashell design on it at the crime scene..."
Ms. Andrews looked at the card's seashell emblem. "That's what it looks like, doesn't it? I honestly don't remember owning this card... I wonder where I picked it up from...?"
Please don't tell me she's... Iris' thoughts trailed off as she tried to process what she had just learned.
"Well, I must be off. I leave Mr. Engarde in your capable hands," Ms. Andrews said, with Iris unsure if she was being sarcastic with the capable part. "I hope you have a good day, Ms. Hawthorne."
"L-Likewise..." Iris said, politely nodding to Ms. Andrews as she left the room. Once she was gone, Iris and Maya also left the room and exited the Criminal Affairs Department now that they got all the evidence they needed for tomorrow's trial. However, as they both went home for the night, they felt uneasy as they pondered on what that card meant in regards to Ms. Andrews' role in the case.
. . .
Outside the Criminal Affairs Department, after Iris and Maya had left, was Franziska von Karma. She stormed out of the building with stacks and files of evidence in her hands. A large sense of anger was fueling the young prosecutor, making her more determined than ever to finally put Iris in her place and win back her father's approval.
You may have defeated me twice, Ms. Iris Hawthorne, but never again! she declared in her mind as she walked. You've made a fool of me for the last time! With all the evidence I have, I will surely defeat you and make you pay for everything you've done to me! This time your fate is sealed-!
Franziska's thoughts were interrupted when the sounds of a gun firing were heard in the distance. Franziska had barely any time to react as the bullet flew into her shoulder.

District Court~ Defendant Lobby No. 3
"Adrian did it...?" Engarde asked in disbelief.
"...That's what it looks like," Iris said solemnly.
"Dude, no way!" he exclaimed. "That woman couldn't do anything like that."
Iris sighed. "In court today, there will be a mountain of evidence that will implicate you."
Engarde blinked at that, looking worried. "A mountain of evidence...?"
"I'm certain there is someone out there trying very hard to pin this whole thing on you," Iris said, making Engard panic.
"Please, Ms. Lawyer! Dude, like I said yesterday...I'm refreshing like a spring breeze, alright?" he said pleadingly. "I can't let any sort of scandal ruin that."
Iris sighed. "I understand..."
"Well, it's almost time," Maya chimed in, feeling nervous. "We have to win this, Iris..."
"I know...I can't focus on Pearl's situation right now," Iris said to herself before showing a determined expression. "No matter what, I have to focus on winning this case by the end of the day!"
Iris and Maya then heard a familiar beeping sound coming from the radio transceiver.
It's them! Iris exclaimed mentally as he immediately answered the call. "Hello!?"
"Heeey, Rissy!" Dahlia said, giggling maliciously through the other end. "Took you so long to call. Pearly was feeling really lonely, you know?"
"Pearl...She's unharmed, right!?"
"Well..." Dahlia giggled mischievously. "When I checked on her earlier this morning, she seemed a bit, how shall we say, tired."
Iris and Maya paled, their hearts practically skipping a beat from that.
"Don't worry. People don't die that easily," Dahlia reassured them falsely. "Besides, you should really focus more on today's trial. Which... is why my friend sent you a little present this morning..."
"A present!?" Iris shouted. "What in the world would you want to give me!?"
"You'll figure it out once the trial opens," de Killer's voice said, with Dahlia complaining in the background, "even if you don't "like" my gift... I expect you to graciously accept it, and win the day's contest... If you please."
"Wait!" Iris called out, but de Killer and Dahlia already hung up. "What present do you mean? What did you both do!?"
"Um, Ms. Lawyer dude? Who was that...?"
Iris took a moment to calm down. "It's nothing, Mr. Engarde," she sighed. "Let's just get this case over with..."
Iris then made her way to the courtroom, while Engarde and Maya turned to each other in concern.
"What's going on with her?" he asked.
Maya sighed. "A lot..."

Sept. 20, 10:00 AM
District Court~ Courtroom No. 3
"Court is now in session for the trial of Matt Engarde," the Judge announced, pounding his gavel. "Are the prosecution and defense ready?"
"The defense is ready, Your Honor," Iris said.
The Judge then turned to the prosecution's side, only to see that no one was there.
"I say! Ms. Hawthorne!" he shouted, glaring suspiciously at Iris. "What happened to Ms. von Karma!?"
"I-I don't know, Your Honor!" Iris stammered. Why are you getting mad at me!?
Suddenly, a bailiff rushed into the courtroom and ran towards the Judge. "Your Honor!"
"Please be quiet, bailiff," the Judge said. "The Court is in session. If you must tell me something, please keep it brief. Now then, what is it?"
"Prosecutor... Prosecutor von Karma has..." the bailiff said in between breaths. "This morning, Ms. von Karma was shot by an unknown gunman!"
"WHAT!?" the Judge, Iris, and Maya cried out in shock.
"Sh-Shot...!?" Iris whispered. Could this be the present Dahlia and de Killer were talking about...?!
It did make sense in Iris' mind. Franziska von Karma was one of the top prosecutors in the country despite her two losses. If she was suddenly unable to do her job, it would certainly be an advantage for Iris. But still...
"M-Ms. von Karma! Is she alright!?" Iris shouted.
"I-I don't have that answer...!" the Judge stuttered, sweating nervously.
"She's alive and in stable condition," a cold, dark voice suddenly said.
"That's good," the Judge sighed in relief only to blanch in horror as he saw who said that. "Y-Y-You're..."
Iris and Maya looked on in shock as well, a chill going up against their spines as Manfred von Karma walked to the prosecutor's side of the courtroom.
"Your Honor, due to the circumstances, my daughter can not appear in court today," he said, giving Iris a stern, frightening glare. "As such, I will be taking her place."
"Um, o-o-of course, Mr. von Karma!" the Judge stammered out, chuckling nervously, barely hiding his fear.
"The prosecution is ready... naturally," Manfred said, his glare still affixed to Iris, who could only look on in horror as she realized she was now facing off against the God of Prosecutors.
