I hope this chapter doesn't make any of you uncomfortable.
The air froze in my lungs as I waited anxiously for his reaction.
We sat there unmoving as his thoughts jumbled incoherently through his mind.
"When?" He finally asked.
I blinked twice, before looking at him, "As soon as possible." I replied.
I watched him nod in response before getting to his feet. "Let's do it. The faster we finish this, the faster we can begin to plan for all the other shit that is happening around us." He said as he pulled me to my feet.
I was surprised once more by his increase in strength as he pulled me out of the room and up the stairs.
"So, what do we need to do first?" He asked as we walked through the doorway.
"Nothing yet, for now. I need you three to stay up here while Castiel and I discuss a few things in the safe room." I replied as I moved away from Dean's side, but before I could move very far he pulled me to a stop.
"Don't start trying to hide things from me." He said, looking at me bothered.
"What is so important that you can't speak about it in front of us?" Sam asked, frowning.
What was wrong with him?
"Don't you start again Samuel —" I growled as Dean pulled me towards him.
"Dean, I know you will probably be able to hear us, but we need to act quick. We are running out of time, and we need to get Castiel's grace restored, and back to him, before finishing the helpmate binding ritual." I explained quickly.
"How exactly are you planning to finish the binding ritual?" Bobby asked, carefully.
"Do you have wine, Bobby?" I asked, turning to stare at him.
"No, all we got is beer." He said, with a shrug of his shoulders.
"I need both of you to go and get some. The sweetest you can find. Dean? Can you please go with them? Castiel and I need to be alone for what is about to happen." I urged as Castiel looked at me with narrowed eyes.
"What no? And leave you two defenseless? Hell no. No, I am not leaving." Dean said, shaking his head at me.
"Dean, we are not defenseless. Castiel and I do know how to defend ourselves. You need to leave, I don't want you getting hurt." I replied, with a hand on his chest.
He closed his eyes, before leaning down to press his lips with my own, before kissing my forehead. "Fine, but— promise me— just promise me you'll be safe." He whispered, giving me a tight hug before letting go.
"I promise. Now, you three be safe ..." I said as they all left the house in Bobby's van.
"What are you planning, Lailah?" Castiel asked as he stood next to me.
"I don't have time to discuss this. Follow me before Michael finds out what I have done." I said as I rushed down the stairs.
I could hear Castiel follow closely behind as I quickly made my way towards the safe room.
"I read Michael's mind enough the other day. I can release you from the binding but it'll knock your vessel out for a short time." I explained as I stared at him concerned.
"Will my vessel survive?" He asked, concerned.
"Of course, he will." I replied reassuringly as I watched him debate.
Before he could think too much, I saw him nod in response.
I sighed, gesturing for him to stand near the bed, before I closed my eyes and began to chant under my breath the words I heard in my head as I walked closer to him, and placed my forefinger and middle finger on his forehead before using my other hand on his chest.
I opened my eyes, and gasped as I saw his eyes roll to the back of his head, before he fell back in a heao.
A mark appeared in his left wrist as he silently laid on the bed, with twitching limbs.
It had two wings, a sword, and a spear crossed over each other, and a harp under both with a circle around it. My mark.
I could feel Michael's anger as a white luminous light began to shine down in the room.
'Why have you done this, Lailah? He was binded for a reason, you know. He was a part of the Fallen, he is unworthy of the aid of Heaven's aid.' He commented.
"You don't deserve to be deciding who is worthy of what, when you have made more mistakes than anyone I know." I replied as the room, and house began to shake, and a blinding white light began to shine within the room.
'Lailah, you are messing with things you don't understand. I hope you realize of the consequences of your actions…' He said.
"This is not a game you want to play with me. So, back off." I added as I turned to go up the stairs.
As I made it up the stairs, I practically jumped out of my skin when I saw that Dean, Sam, and Bobby were back, and staring anxiously at the doorway I had just walked through.
"Where's Cass, Lailah?" Dean asked, with a furrowed brow.
"Resting. We need to hurry." I urged as I reached for the bottle in his hands.
"If any of you say a word about what is about to happen, I will not hesitate to pin your asses to the wall and leave you there, do you understand?" I asked them, as I uncorked the bottle before I looked at Sam.
"Duly noted." Bobby replied, wide-eyed, as he looked over at Dean and Sam
Dean looked at me with speculation, as I went into the kitchen, uncorking the bottle before I pulled out a small golden chalice from my purse and quickly began pouring wine into it, until it reached half the chalice.
Then proceeded to grab the needle I had made and extracted a bit of grace and squeezed it into the chalice, before I turned to Sam.
"I need a knife." I stared, extending my hand towards him.
Dean sighed before pulling out a hunting knife from his coat, and handing it to me.
"Extend your hand." I whispered, before I turned and sliced his palm, gesturing towards the chalice. "A few drops, please." I murmured, before closing my eyes and slicing my own palm and doing the same.
"What in the hell?!" Bobby muttered as I turned and slammed the doors to the kitchen closed.
"Dean! Lailah!" Sam called, as he pounded on the doors.
"Calm down, Sammy, we are fine." Dean replied as he looked over at me before looking down at his already healed palm.
Ignoring them, I closed my eyes and chanted the Enochian spell, before watching the chalice light up in blue fire and disappear.
I stared at the chalice for a moment before looking at Dean and back at the chalice again.
"What did I miss?" Castiel suddenly said, as he leaned casually into the door.
"We are finishing the helpmate binding ritual." I muttered with a frown.
"I noticed." He muttered, as he moved from the door and walked over to us. "Did you already add both your and his blood?" He asked, staring down at the chalice.
As I nodded in response, Dean nodded before awkwardly looking away.
"Your grace?" He asked me, quietly.
I nodded pointing to the needle on the counter, before frowning again.
"You still need the blood of a family member." Castiel said.
"Mine or his?" I asked, confused.
"Yours. Since he is your helpmate. This will bind not only him and you but also the family together. Forcing them to protect him instead of hurting him." Castiel explained, asking for the knife.
I sighed before giving him the knife and watching as he slowly ran the blade through his palm, dropping a few drops of his blood as well.
The chalice suddenly glowed a bright blue and silver before disappearing.
"Do it, now." Castiel commanded, handing me the chalice before turning towards the door.
I nodded before looking at Dean, who stared at me before snatching the chalice from my hand and gulping half of the contents down. I followed his example before placing the chalice onto the counter and looking towards Dean.
I could still taste the rich, sweet taste of cherries as I licked my lips anxiously.
He didn't waste any time, as he pulled me towards him, and jerked my chin up with his fingers before giving me a searing kiss.
I felt the world disappear around us as I finally felt complete for once in my life.
"Baby, where have you been all my life?" He asked, when we finally pulled apart, his forehead still touching mine as he held me close to him.
Chapter Preview:
"While watching you two argue has been entertaining, can you two ladies shake hands and get over it? We have a problem." Bobby snarks as he juts, his chin towards where Castiel is standing stiffly.
"He is right… We have a visitor." Castiel said, without looking away from the window.
