To re-cap:
Kumiko Riku is our main protagonist. She is born to the Kuna Household, and is a cousin of the Kuchiki's. She grew up in the Rukon District and became a Shinigami, where she joined Squad Eleven and rose to the rank of Fourth-Seat. Really what we all need to remember is:
- Kumiko and Kisuke met at the Academy when she was a student and he was still in Squad Two
- They meet again several years later just before Kisuke begins his application to become a Captain
- Kumiko tries to find dirt on Kisuke; finds his research on Hollowfication and all that good stuff; realizes it's classified and they come to an agreement to not rat each other out
- After much bickering and internal conflict, Kumiko marries Kisuke.
- Nine years later, Kumiko finds out she is pregnant. She doesn't get to tell Kisuke before Aizen blows everything up ('cause he's just that good of a villain) and they are separated.
- Kisuke escapes to the World of the Living without Kumiko.
- Central Forty-Six gets Kumiko to do their dirty work and clean up the whole mess (Because, I don't know about you but I always wondered how they did that)
- Kumiko hates Kisuke and wants to beat his ass into tomorrow.

I probably should have put this first but I'm sick and currently waiting for the Rugby World Cup Final to start, so I'm just going to leave this as is.
Between classes and my part-time job, I can't always guarantee regular updates. I'm really going to try because I really really understand how frustrating it is having to wait for hiatuses to end (I recently got hooked into Webtoons and holy moly it kills me having to wait for those long-term periods of silence). Because I have a busy schedule, I'm going to try be realistic with myself and update every two weeks.
I plan on writing three POV's - Kumiko, Kisuke, and Shizuko's (Eventually). Because of this, I will be labelling at the top whose perspective the chapter is in.
Fair warning that because of the multiple perspectives, this story will have a lot of chapters-albeit short-ish ones. I have about 50 chapters planned out in my notebook, but as I write it changes so we'll see! I'm thinking that to get through the story in less than a decade (lol) I want to post two chapters at a time!
On a final note, thank you so much for following this story! I really appreciate the continuous support! I'm also so happy to hear back from old readers who were pleasantly surprised that the story was re-written when they came back to reread it!
