Prepare for Trouble, Clefairy and the Moon Stone!
"Alright Eevee, let's finish this with Shadow Ball!"
"Eevoi!" A black and purple ball of static energy formed within Eevee's mouth before she fired it directly at Scorbunny
"Scor!" Scorbunny cried out as her body was hit by yet another blow, the rabbit teetered a bit before collapsing face first into the dirt with a groan as Zach immediately rushed over to check on her.
"Alright Eevee, we did it!"
"Evoi!"
Ash looked towards Scorbunny and sighed from relief when he noticed Scorbunny show signs of movement as she nuzzled her trainer affectionately. It had been a few weeks since school had started up and Ash had taken to sparring with Gary and Zach whenever he had some free time, his team had grown stronger during that time and Eevee and Caterpie were both showing signs of nearing their evolutions.
He'd grown closer to his new friends as well, Brock was pretty much the best roommate he could ask for! He kept the whole place clean and tidy, not to mention he was quite the cook! Ash had never tasted anything so delicious and even his Pokemon had to agree with him! Zach proved to be a pretty good roommate as well, he cleaned up after himself which was a task Ash neglected to do at times as he was used to his mother being around, and was just an overall good friend in general. Really the only downside was both Ash and Brock catching Giselle trying to sneak in but that wasn't really his fault as she was just trying to seduce him.
Damian was still being a massive dick to Charmander, Ash had yet to see Charmander even get a single victory while Spearow? Damian seemed to clean house with Spearow, poor Leaf was practically defeated in seconds the other day as Bulbasaur stood no chance against him! Ash had avoided battling him for the time being as he didn't want to risk Damian possibly further abusing poor Charmander just cause Damien knew it'd rile him up.
Brock was practically like a brother to Ash, though unfortunately he never seemed to have the time to battle Ash as whenever he finished his schoolwork, Ash caught him reading out of rather boring books with titles like "Pokemon Health 101" and "Pokemon Breeding Tips and Tricks, a Guide for Beginners!". Misty had almost battled Ash but she seemed to hang around the docks a lot, preferring to train her Pokemon for water battles which Ash unfortunately was unable to take part in due to his lack of Water types. The two teased each other a lot but it was all in good fun.
Zach meanwhile had practically been training with Scorbunny nonstop to get the rabbit on par with the rest of his team, the Fire type fought with Eevee a lot but had yet to overtake him despite the two being on even ground. Scorbunny seemed quite anxious the first time she'd lost but ended up calming down rather quickly when she found out her trainer was genuinely worried for her rather than being upset or angry. The rabbit started to follow him wherever he went, much like Lucario. Thankfully the teachers seemed rather okay with him having two Pokemon out.
Of course Ash also had gotten to know Leaf better as she came over to their dorm a few times every week to talk with him, reminding him of childhood events that the two had shared while also engaging in the odd battle but they didn't fight as often as Ash did battle with Gary and Zach. Leaf even started giving Ash some rather peculiar looks which though it went over Ash's head, Brock and Zach had caught on to Leaf's emotions but kept quiet about it as they felt like they shouldn't intrude on that.
Giselle stood to the side of the battlefield and clapped her hands together, despite Zach's loss her focus was still very much upon him. Lucario cast her a glare as she strutted over before placing her hand up against Zach's chest, a hungry look in her eyes as she fluttered her eyelashes up at him. "I didn't think it was possible but that Scorbunny of yours makes you even more irresistible! How about you ditch your friend and head back to your dorm for some fun?" Scorbunny flattened her ears at the sight of her biting her lip.
Zach let out a sigh before pushing her away. "Look Giselle, it's not from a lack of interest. I'd totally get with you if it wasn't so obvious you only wanted this-" Zach made a thrusting motion with his arms. "I just want to get with a girl that likes me for who I am, if she wants to do that then that's just a bonus but I'm not looking for a relationship that just involves doing that stuff and nothing else!"
Giselle looked disappointed from his words as she started to hang her head. Zach immediately felt guilty despite it technically being her fault persistently trying for weeks on end to get with him. "Look why don't you try getting with my friend Flash? I know for a fact he likes you, we both agreed that you're the hottest girl at the school! He's an idiot, you're smart... sounds like a match made in heaven!" Giselle flashed a glance towards Damien's group, picking out Flash as he didn't seem to join in on something that the other three found funny. "Just try it, if things don't work out then I'll considering doing that with you once as a favor." Giselle then turned back to Zach and formed a light smile before bowing her head in appreciation.
"You can just say the word you know, nothing wrong with it. But thanks, I think I will try!" Zach watched her rush off to talk to Flash with the Electric specialist letting out an excited shout following whatever she said to him, both seemed rather happy which made Zach happy that things worked out for the two of them before he proceed to head to class for the day alongside Ash, it wouldn't be long until both Brock and Leaf joined up with them. Leaf began excitedly talking about her own Nidoran and how it was coming along as quite a decently strong player.
"We should definitely train our Nidoran together some later, I have a feeling they'll get along great!" Leaf exclaimed as they stepped foot into Professor Cerise's class. The Professor perked up from a paper he was reading as everyone took their seats.
"I've got a surprise for all of you today, we'll be taking a trip to Mt. Moon! It's the time of month that the Clefairy like to come out at night and dance beneath the stars, I think it'd be quite the fun and educational trip to make don't you?" The professor asked with a smile as a few people within the class cheered, most of them were girls like Leaf who gushed about how cute Clefairy were and how they couldn't wait to see them. While a fair few like Damien looked relatively uninterested, wishing that they were going somewhere else.
"Eh, at least it could offer a chance at capturing Pokemon we can't find around these parts." Ash shrugged as watching Clefairy dance about honestly didn't interest him.
"Oh come on, it'll be fun!" Leaf gave Ash a light nudge with her arm. "I bet it'll be way more exciting than you think it'll be!"
"Wow that is one big mountain!" Leaf couldn't help but gasp out as they stood at the foot of the mountain.
"That's what he said!" Damien laughed out before the ninja girl angrily punched his gut in response!
"It's dishonorable to talk about one's father like that!" Damien was about to retort but the glare she gave him actually seemed to scare him enough to make him back off. Ash and Zach couldn't help but snicker at the sight of Damien cowering away before Leaf gave them a light hush to silence them.
It appeared Cerise didn't care for Damien much either as he acted as if he hadn't seen Janine striking him.
"Alright everyone, Mt. Moon has a lot of different passages so I'd like you to stick close to one another so that nobody wanders off and gets lost. It'll take a bit of walking to get to where the Clefairy show up." He turned to face Damien. "And I'm serious about this, you don't want to get lost in here. It could take hours if not days to find you or for you to get back out on your own if you can even manage that."
"Heh, whatever you say man." Damien smirked while a light bulb seemed to go off within the trainer's head as the class began making their way into a cave that'd lead them through the mountain. Zubats began fluttering about through the air above causing Leaf and Chloe to duck and emit out a frightened screech while the ninja girl calmly grabbed at an empty Pokeball before chucking it at one of the Zubat, successfully catching it as the ball hit the ground and emitted the chime to signal the capture!
Ash helped Leaf up while she nervously clutched her arms around his side, Cerise doing the same for his daughter before speaking calmly. "Relax everyone, I guarantee that the Zubat are more frightened of us than you are of them. They likely won't attack us!" They continued and passed by some sleeping Geodude, Ash silently debated catching one before deciding against it as he'd likely upset the whole lot of the rock Pokemon if he tried. Further along into the cave a Sandslash could be seen taking care of it's young, giving a bunch of Sandshrew some food. A large smirked crossed Damien's face as he looked the Pokemon up and down before pointing forward as he released Charmander.
"Charmander use Metal Claw!"
"Char?!" Charmander gave him a confused look before rushing over and giving the Sandslash a light Scratch as he didn't know the move!
"Damien wait, you can't just attack a mother like that-" Cerise's words got interrupted as Sandslash's face turned bright red with rage, slashing Charmander away with a powerful Slash before leaping up into the air and soon slamming her feet against the cavern floor causing the entire cave to begin shaking as rocks began falling from the ceiling up above before parts of the ground began to cave in. Zach was one of the first to fall through a hole, another opened up beneath Giselle and Flash reached out in an attempt to save her only to wind up being pulled in after her! A hole opened up beneath the ninja girl but she leaped out of the way with extreme agile.
"A-Ash?!" Leaf looked down at the ground around her as it started to crack, Ash's eyes widened as he quickly stretched out in an attempt to reach out to grab her only to feel somebody push him from behind and knocking him into the crumbling dirt which soon gave way beneath him and Leaf as they were sent falling to the caverns below!
"Ash!" Brock and Misty quickly rushed over and looked down the hole while Damien looked away and whistled innocently before Misty suddenly pulled him up by his shirt's collar.
"I oughta toss you down there after him!" She growled out, her clutched fists shaking just mere inches away from his face.
"Now now Misty, there's no need for violence. We can't seep down to his level." Brock stated though that didn't necessarily mean he didn't think Damien deserved it.
Cerise looked down at the holes before letting out a sigh as sweat began running down his face. "Professor Oak is gonna kill me... come on, we're getting out of here so I can arrange a search party for the five of them!" He didn't want to risk losing anymore students if Damien decided to pull another foolish stunt.
"Right Professor, let's get outta hereeeee!" Damien's words echoed out causing everyone to look behind them as the classes Psychic specialist gave them a look.
"What? Can't say he didn't deserve that."
"Sabrina..." Cerise let out a sigh before placing his hand against his face. "Alright that's six unaccounted fo-"
"Boss!" Ben and Ken dived in after Damien causing the entire class to sweat drop.
"Is it wrong to hope they don't make it?" Sabrina asked.
Damien landed down on his rear, letting out a pained grunt before Ben and Ken came piling down on him seconds later with Charmander safely landing on top of the three. The three were atop what appeared to be a giant rock formation as Damien became shouting at the two. "It's all that damn Charmander's fault, I ordered him to use Metal Claw and the little shit refused to do it!"
"Yeah!"
"You suck, Charmander!" The two chimed in as Charmander lowered his head and let out a saddened growl.
"More like you suck, Charmander's not experienced enough to use Metal Claw!" Zach retorted as he stood nearby with Lucario standing next to him and Scorbunny perched up on her trainer's shoulders. 'Of all people why did I have to get stuck with them?!' Zach cursed his luck.
"Oh hey, it's the Alolan retard!" Damien remarked as he looked around before chuckling. "You like acting tough but it appears we've got you outnumbered down here, there's three of us and only one of you!"
"What are you suggesting?" Zach asked with narrowed eyes as Damien took a leap off the rock formation.
"I'm suggesting that if to say an 'unfortunate accident' happened, we could eliminate one of that troublesome Ass Ketchum's friends right here and now!" Damien formed a sadistic smirk as Ben and Ken followed in his example.
"Yeah yeah!"
"Nobody will miss you!"
"Fearow!"
"Machoke!"
"Poliwhirl!"
The three Pokemon burst out in front of them as Zach let out a growl at the misfortunate position he was put into before turning to Lucario and Scorbunny. "Well if that's how it's gonna be then so be it!"
"Hey, leave my best friend alone!"
"Bzzzz!" Electabuzz burst out next to Lucario followed by a Cubone as Flash and Giselle arrived, giving Damien nasty looking glares as they stood by Zach.
Damien raised his eyebrows at Flash's choice. "Really? You'd actually side with that re-"
"Nothing's wrong with that, he can't help the way he was born!" Flash growled out.
"Yeah besides we like him. We aren't going to stand aside while you kill our friend!" Giselle spoke up.
Zach formed a light smile at their words while Damien let out a growl as he clutched his fists together.
"Then you'll perish with him, attack!" Damien shouted at the top of his lungs and just as a fight was about to break out the rock formation behind Damien and his goons began rising upwards before a very ticked off and sleep deprived Rhydon stood behind them, glaring down at the entire group and not taking any side as it uttered out a loud intimidating roar! Damien and his goons shot straight upwards before turning around and letting out terrified screams, sounding like a pair of frightened girls before they and their Pokemon took off running down a nearby tunnel. Charmander tried running after Damien but tripped, he could clearly see it but made no effort to come back for it.
"Run!" Flash shouted before rushing down a separate tunnel, Giselle rushed after him and Zach was about to follow before he spotted Charmander. He quickly ran towards Charmander as Rhydon began to tower over the small Fire type, the giant Ground/Rock type was about to slam his fist down and crush him before Zach rolled across the floor and grabbed a hold of Charmander, pulling him into his grasp before rushing on after Giselle and Flash, Lucario and Scorbunny hot on his heels while Rhydon let out a loud roar before stomping his feet and charging on after them!
"Ugh where am I?" Ash rubbed the back of his head as he regained consciousness. Alarms went off in his head as he remembered falling down a hole within the cave, he waved his arms and legs about as he laid on the ground and let out a loud sigh of relief as it appeared everything was intact. He felt something heavy on top of him however causing him to freak out for a brief moment as he thought it was a rock or something before his eyes opened up to reveal the unconscious form of Leaf! Her eyes opened a few seconds later and the two stared at one another as their faces quickly burned while they blushed heavily upon seeing how close they were to one another.
Leaf quickly shot upwards and rubbed her arm nervously before apologizing to him. "Sorry about that,"
"Don't worry about that, it's not your fault..." Ash stated, smiling lightly as he secretly wished that they could have stayed like that for a moment longer. "Come on we should get out of here."
"Agreed," Leaf looked as if she wanted the same but she knew they needed to try and get out of here. The others were probably worried sick and who knows what happened to the others she saw fell, they could be nearby and possibly even hurt! A bright light could be seen ahead causing her to poke Ash's arm before nudging her head in the direction of the light source. "That might be an exit out of here, shall we go?" If they got out then they could send help for the others.
Ash gave Leaf a light nod before the two started walking towards the light, Eevee twitched her tail and narrowed her eyes as the bright light began to blind the three for a brief moment as they stepped foot into a rather large room with what appeared to be a giant sized Moon Stone standing in the middle of it!
"That thing has to be the size of the school!" Leaf gasped out in amazement.
"Eevoi!"
"Yeah, it's beautiful!" Ash gazed at the stone, admiring it's beauty before the sound of pickaxes could be heard which snapped the boy back to reality. "You hear that...?"
"Evoi..." Eevee's ears twitched before she nodded in agreement.
"Y-You really think we should investigate? What if it's another rowdy wild Pokemon?!" Leaf gasped out but Ash didn't give a response as he began walking with Eevee as they went to investigate the noise, Leaf let out a sigh and took a deep gulp of air before quickly following the two.
"I can't believe that nerd lied about there being fossils buried here!" A woman in her early twenty's complained as she picked away at the giant Moon Stone, her long magenta colored hair ending in a curved slope.
"At least we found this giant Moon Stone, think of all the money we can make selling miniature ones!" A man the same age as the woman excitedly exclaimed, his short violet hair drenched in sweat from the work they were doing. A Meowth stood nearby and gave a group of Clefairy a smirk as he stood guard over the giant rock. The Clefairy all shook and shivered from fright while looking on with horrified glances as their beloved rock was being chipped away at!
"Hey! What's going on here?!" Ash shouted out causing the three to leap up and turned around, Ash immediately recognizing the large red R on the man and woman's uniforms. He was born in Kanto after all, of course he'd know about the nefarious organization that poached and stole Pokemon in both the Kanto and Johto regions! "Team Rocket?!" He growled out.
"Hahahahaha!" The three laughed out before posing, Ash and Leaf paused and sweated at one another as these three weren't behaving like they'd expect Rocket members to behave.
"Prepare for trouble you thought we wouldn't be in this story didn't you?"
"And make it double because we managed to sneak in anyways!"
"To protect the world from devastation!"
"To unite all people within our nation!"
"To denounce the evils of truth and love!"
"To extend our reach to the stars above!"
"Jessie!"
"James!"
"Team Rocket, blasting off at the speed of light!"
"Surrender now or prepare to fight fight, fight!"
"Meowth, that's right!"
"D-Did that Meowth just..." Leaf started.
"You can talk!" Ash gasped out.
"What do you expect, not all of us Pokemon are dimwitted!" Meowth responded causing Eevee to growl in response.
"I don't know what you three aim to do but we can't let you destroy that Moon Stone, it belongs to the Clefairy!" Ash shouted out.
"You know what they say about finders keepers," Jessie stuck out her tongue.
"Yeah, you snooze you lose!" James laughed out.
"That's not how that works!" Leaf retorted.
"Yeah it's in the Clefairy's home, you're literally stealing!" Ash remarked with a shout.
The three narrowed their eyes at the twerps as the two humans reached for a pair of Pokeballs that sat on their belts.
"Well if you want to do things that hard way then I guess we're forced to oblige, go Arbok!" Jessie cried out.
"You too Weezing!" James called out as the two threw the Pokeballs forward, the balls burst open to reveal the two Kantonian Poison types as they stood intimidatingly across from the two students.
"Yikes!" Leaf let out an alarmed gasp. "This is going to be tough!"
"Don't worry Leaf, we can handle this!" Ash pumped his fists before throwing out his arm. "Eevee use Shadow Ball!"
Eevee formed the small black and purple ball of static energy within her mouth before firing it at Arbok, Arbok flinched from the impact but it appeared to do little damage as the Pokemon let out an annoyed hiss in response.
"Bulbasaur use Razor Leaf!"
"Bulbasaur!" Bulbasaur began firing off razor sharp leaves at his opponent but much like the previous attack it seemed to have little to no effect. Arbok and Weezing looked at one another before lightly shrugging as their trainers had looks of glee across their face.
"Sludge Bomb!" James ordered.
"Acid Spray!" Jessie called out.
Weezing began firing off multiple purple globs of sludge at the two opponents while Arbok let out a hiss before spitting out a large drop of purple acid upon the two Pokemon! Poor Bulbasaur was unable to take the combined hits, immediately going into a defeated slump as Leaf cried out in concern while Eevee collapsed to her knees, her face began turning a dark purple coloring as she started standing back up.
"Eevee..." Ash could sense that Eevee was running low on health, the Poisoned status sure wasn't doing her any favors either but Eevee seemed as persistent as her trainer, unwilling to call it quits!
"Evoi!" A bright blue light engulfed Eevee as Ash and Leaf uttered startled gasps while the Rocket trio watched and didn't seem concerned by what was happening. Eevee's fur began turning into a light purple coloring while her tail split off into two, her eyes turned to a bright purple color while a small red gem formed upon her forehead.
"Espe!"
"Espeon the Sun Pokemon, Espeon is extremely loyal to any Trainer it considers to be worthy. It is said that this Pokemon developed its precognitive powers to protect its trainer from harm!"
Leaf's Rotom Phone read out as she scanned the newly evolved Pokemon.
"You evolved to protect us..?" Ash's eyes widened from amazement before a large grin crossed his face. "Alright Espeon, use Confusion!" Espeon's eyes glowed bright blue as as a similar glow surrounded Arbok and Weezing before she threw them into the air, the two Pokemon colliding against one another before falling down onto their trainers and Meowth, all the Team Rocket members collapsed in a massive heap as they groaned out in defeat!
"Outta the way, outta the way!"
"Huh? Oh shi-!" Ash dove forward and pushed Leaf out of the way, pinning her against the floor in the process as the two stared up at one another with darkened expressions once more while the others came rushing on into the room with Rhydon stampeding right behind them! The three other trainers soon dove into a siding in the cave wall causing Rhydon to lose sight of them before his eyes made contact with Team Rocket as they slowly began rising back to their feet.
"Ugh, did anyone catch the number of that bus?" Meowth asked before going wide eyed as he and the other Team Rocket members proceeded to hug each other and let out a terrified scream before Rhydon collided into them, causing them to go blasting through the cavern roof and up into the sky above.
"I can't believe we didn't get any fossils or Moon Stones!" Jessie cried out.
"We'll get something next time, Jessie." James chimed in.
"Meowth, that's right but until then..."
"Team Rocket's blasting off!" The three and their Pokemon disappeared into the horizon while Rhydon smashed his head directly into the Moon Stone, causing pieces to go shattering off across the room as he slowly slid to the floor in a state of unconsciousness, knocking himself out cold from the impact.
"Fairy, Clefairy fairy Clefairy!" The Clefairy began chanting out as moonlight soon began shining down into the cavern and lighting up the Moon Stone, apparently Ash just narrowly avoided the deadline for Eevee's evolution into Espeon! Ash, his friends, and Espeon all watched the Clefairy dancing about the glowing Moon Stone before a bright beacon was sent up into the starry sky above! A ufo suddenly appeared causing everyone to let out an alarmed gasp, especially upon seeing what appeared to be Clefairy driving said ufo! The ufo beamed up the giant Moon Stone before slowly beaming up the Clefairy one by one, one of the Clefairy began walking over to Ash and Leaf before handing them pieces of the stone that had broken off.
"Clefairy!" It cheerfully cried as the two stared dumbfounded at the gift before bowing their heads in appreciation.
"Thank you."
"Clefairy, fairy fairy!" The Clefairy chanted before skipping towards his friends, getting beamed up into the ufo with the last of them. The ufo soon light up before blasting off into the heavens, disappearing as quickly as it had came and left little to no proof of what the five had seen!
"Oh wait, I didn't get a picture!" Leaf let out a whine of disappointment, realizing that nobody would believe what they'd just seen!
Zach let out a whistle as he twirled his Rotom Phone like a cowboy twirling his revolver in a western before showing them near perfect pictures!
"Char, Charmander!" Charmander cried out eagerly at the sight of Damien, Ash and Zach felt sickened at how Charmander wanted to go back to Damien. Ash hadn't seen it but he heard all about how Damien left Charmander for dead to save his own skin, it sickened Ash immensely and he vowed to do whatever he could to free Charmander of that monster's control!
"So you see, Clefairy actually do come from space!" Leaf excitedly exclaimed as she showed off enlarged images of the pictures that were taken.
"Incredible!" Cerise gasped out.
"My theories were correct, ha! Professor Elm owes me a Pokecola!" Professor Oak let out a laugh.
The other students let out excited murmurs at the sight while Damien was fuming and glaring at Ash and his friends for yet again being the center of attention and stealing the spotlight that was rightfully his own! Ash noticed the glare and glared right back at Damien before the two entered a stare off. 'Don't worry Charmander, I'll do whatever it takes to free you from him!'
"Espeo..." Espeon agreed with her trainer's thoughts, able to able them now due to a telepathic connection. It alarmed Ash at first but he grew used to it rather quickly as he was already familiar with it as Zach and Lucario, and Sabrina and her Kadabra had a similar connection with each other. All it did was make Espeon and him even closer than before!
Yeah so that happened. I'm not afraid to let things get a bit weird and similar to the original saga on occasion.
Damien proved just how monstrous he could be but with no proof and without a teacher hearing him, he was allowed to stay. Good thing too else Ash wouldn't be able to save Charmander!
