Serena and the Mischievous Grookey
Ash had heard that Zach would be in the Galar region at the same time as he and the others would be, excitement had filled his body for a brief spell as it appeared he'd have the chance to battle him for the first time in quite awhile on account of them normally being pretty far from one another and Gladion robbing him of the chance during the Tapu Koko festival. Unfortunately it appeared as if Ash would have to wait a while longer as Galar was a pretty big place and while Ash and his friends were visiting the town known as Stow-on-Side, Zach was located halfway across the region at the city known as Hammerlocke. Looks like their battle would be delayed for a different time as he was fairly certain that his friend was likely off looking for some Pokemon to catch, heck that's what Ash wanted to him himself!
Ash barely heard a single thing Professor Venom said as the man rumbled on about something as he was busy thinking about all the cool Pokemon that he could potentially see while he was within the region, he'd already seen a cool looking raven Pokemon and debated catching one for himself as it could be a good counter to use against Gary's Pidgeotto!
"Ketchum!" Venom suddenly shouted causing Ash to snap back to reality as the cold hearted Professor crossed his arms and gave him a harsh glare. "Did you even hear a single word I said?"
"Something about a dynamite phenomenon?" Ash asked causing Flash to snicker out before going silent as Venom gave him a silencing look.
"It's obvious you didn't pay any attention at all," Venom let out a sigh. "But I can't be bothered to repeat myself so I guess I'll just settle with locking you up in your hotel room and forbidding you from catching Pokemon with the others."
"What?! You can't do that!" Ash growled out before realizing that arguing wouldn't be the right course with the man. "Isn't there anything I can do-?" Ash tried reasoning with him only to be rudely shut down.
"No."
Leaf placed her hand on Ash's shoulder to offer him some support. "I can stay and keep you company if you like?"
"I couldn't ask you to, I know you're just as excited to catch a Galar Pokemon as I am. Why don't you go on ahead?" Ash sincerely hoped that she agreed as he intended on sneaking out once enough time had passed. He wasn't going to be denied the chance at capturing a Pokemon!
Leaf narrowed her eyes, she knew that Ash did care but she couldn't help but suspect that he also had ulterior motives. "Okay but please stay out of trouble." Leaf kissed his cheek while hoping that whatever he was planning, he wouldn't get caught doing it!
Hours had passed and after Venom finally came to check up on him to see if he was still there, Ash decided to book it! The Professor might be mean and strict but he was also rather lazy, he doubted that the man would come back until later that night so all he had to do was get back before Venom decided to sleep!
Ash released Espeon from her ball and slowly crept towards the door before pressing his ear against it. "What do you think Espeon, is he out there?"
Espeon closed her eyes as she scanned the telekinetic waves of every individual within a brief distance, thankfully Victor was watching from across the street as per usual so he was just outside of reach. Espeon was quick to shake her head before telepathically informing Ash that Venom was parked out in the hallway on a chair to ensure that Ash wouldn't sneak out. Ash let out a frustrated growl as he began pacing around the room before a lightbulb suddenly went off in his head, he made a rush for the window before opening it up to look at the ground below. It was a three story jump but with Espeon's telepathy slowing him down he'd be able to manage it without hurting himself, getting back up was the difficult part but he could worry about that later.
Thankfully due to their telekinetic bond, Espeon was able to get a read on his plan and instantly surrounded herself and Ash in a blue glow before levitating the two of them right out the window, slowly taking them down to the ground below. However right as they were passing the second story window, somebody bravely jumped right out of it and landed right on top of him! Espeon lost her grip on Ash on account of that causing him and the stranger to go crashing down to the ground together with a loud thud! Victor rushed to the edge of the roof and quickly scanned the sight before letting out a sigh of relief as his aura read that neither one had hurt themselves in the fall.
A second thud could be heard as a Pokemon landed next to them but Ash's view was blocked by the dirt as somebody unknowingly had him pinned to the ground!
"That was quite the fall, right Grapploct?"
"Grap!" A Pokemon cried out in agreement, the two seeming to have a close connection much like Ash and his Espeon!
"Espe, Espeon espe!" Espeon cried out immediately upon landing causing the girl to tilt her head in confusion before letting out a gasp as she looked beneath her.
"Oh Arceus, I'm so sorry!" She was quick to spring up, pulling on Ash's arm in order to help him up. "So sorry about that, I was in such a hurry to sneak out that I wasn't paying close enough attention!" Her personality seemed quite similar to Ash's too as she often acted before thinking properly.
"I-It's okay," Ash groaned out as he rubbed his head. "I-I was sneaking out too actually." He opened his eyes and spotted a girl his age with a tanned skin tone, she had gray hair and rather short gray hair as well. She also appeared to be wearing what Ash vaguely recalled as a gym uniform that gym challengers and gym leaders wore within the Galar League during official matches! He then turned to look at her Pokemon as it managed to snag his attention, it was a blue octopus and had Ash not heard it's name he'd have assumed based on the look that it was a Galarian Octillery!
"You were? Did you sock that Leon prick too?! That asshole deserved it but unfortunately my teacher didn't agree and I got stuck with being detained to my room for the day, I wasn't about to miss out on the opportunity to train some more as I didn't want to fall behind! I wanna be the best Fighting specialist that I can be and I sure won't get that far by sitting on my ass!" A fire burned in the girl's eyes as Ash couldn't help but sweat as it was like looking in a mirror! "I'm Bea by the way, Galar's future Fighting type Gym Leader and possibly champion if I play my cards right!"
"I'm Ash Ketchum, future Kanto champion and world champion!" Ash smirked as Bea couldn't help but look him over.
"Really? Huh, neat! I bet you're quite the battler then, what do you say we battle right here and now?" Bea proposed making things even more eerily similar as Ash was quite quick to pick fights with people he only met a few minutes ago too!
"Sure, I never back down from a figh-"
"Espe!"
"Grap!" The two Pokemon scolded their trainers before looking directly up at the hotel as if to say that they shouldn't battle right next to the place they sneaked out of, that'd bring a lot of attention to them!
"Grapploct's right, how about we take this to the Wild Area?" Bea asked with a smirk. "I was headed there anyways to train with the wild Pokemon!"
"I was headed there to catch some Pokemon!" Ash exclaimed as he agreed to Bea's plan. Marnie was leaned up against a wall nearby as she watched the two converse before silently shaking her head.
"Those two were literally made for each other,"
"Morpek!" The gerbil on her shoulder agreed as they walked away.
"Grookey!" A green monkey Pokemon excitedly leaped through the town's marketplace, smacking it's stick against the heads of both workers and customers while also grabbing the occasional berry and pelting strangers in the face with them!
"Gah!" Unfortunately for Grookey she finally struck somebody who wasn't as forgiving as the others.
"Electabuzz use Fire Punch!"
"Bzzzz!" Flash's Electabuzz raced forward with a fiery fist while Giselle was busy wiping berry juices off of her boyfriend's face, Electabuzz took a hard swing only for Grookey to perform a backflip and evade the attack just in time causing Electabuzz to go crashing headfirst into a fruit stand!
"Bzzzz!" Electabuzz grunted out as he tried pulling his head out of a watermelon! Flash quickly raced forward and began the process of yanking it off of his partner's head while Giselle was quick to grab an empty Pokeball and begin taking her aim at Grookey.
"Prepare to be mine Grookey," She spoke causing the locals to let out a loud cheer as it appeared as if the troublesome Grookey would finally be going away! However right before the ball could strike Grookey a Ribombee flew into it's path! The Bug/Fairy disappearing in a beam of red light as the ball hit the floor while Grookey began howling with laughter as he pointed at Giselle before sticking out his tongue and turning to race away.
"I really hate that monkey," Flash growled out as he finally got Electabuzz free.
Giselle let out a frustrated growl as she watched Grookey running away before leaning down to pick up the pokeball containing Ribombee. "At least it's not a total loss, I did get a new Pokemon."
"I want one too! I haven't found any Electric types since I caught Chinchou, let's try and find something for me!" Giselle formed a light smirk before taking her boyfriend by the hand as they headed out for the Wild Area.
"That was the tenth time this week that the Grookey harassed and scared away our customers, how on earth are we supposed to get any business done with that meddling monkey constantly making us hardly break even at the end of the week due to the lost supplies and damage done on account of it?"
"Well we could hire Team Cyber to handle it," One of the other merchants spoke up.
"What's a 'Team Cyber'?" An older merchant asked with a puzzled look.
"They're a 'hip and popular' mercenary team that stream their missions and you can pay them to capture Pokemon along with other various tasks, even some illegal activities. They're in it for the ratings and money."
"And sometimes just for the laughs," Another younger merchant spoke up with a light eyeroll. "But we can't afford to hire them, they're well outside our paygrade!"
"If we all pitch in we can, it'll save us a lot of money if that damn Grookey just goes away. I don't care how it's done so long as it doesn't come back!"
"Agreed, whose in?"
"I am!"
"Same here!"
The old man merchant looked unsure but upon taking a look at his ruined fruit stand he let out a sigh before holding out his hand to meet the others. "I'm in!"
Leaf was walking through the Wild Area in search of a Pokemon to capture, not for herself but for Ash as she was hoping to cheer him up after the bad day he had. She knew he was likely going to just sneak out but he was so looking forward to capturing a Pokemon and she didn't want him to miss out on the opportunity!
"Groo..." A moan could be heard up ahead causing Leaf to quickly rush ahead to investigate, discovering Serena over what appeared to be a very sickly looking monkey Pokemon!
"Serena?! What on earth did you do to it?!" Leaf couldn't help but come off as a bit hostile as she never did like her and then she heard what sounded like a Pokemon in pain only to discover Serena standing right over it!
"I-I got here just before you!" Serena was quick to shout as she raised up her hands in defense. "B-Besides look at it, it's clearly Poisoned! My only Pokemon is Fennekin and she isn't capable of doing that!"
"Fen!" The fox Pokemon cried out in agreement.
Leaf took a deep breath and began slowly calming down as she realized that Serena had a point, she couldn't possibly have done this! She clenched her fists as she realized that she needed to be nicer to the blonde girl, she might love Ash but that didn't mean Leaf had to outright hate her solely because of that! She still had no intention of sharing him with her though at the current moment.
"Let's see, what did you need to treat Poison again?" Serena looked thoughtful before Leaf passed her a bottle of Antidote.
"Antidote, spray Grookey on the affected area and the poison should begin fading away." Leaf instructed.
Serena took the bottle and looked it over before spraying the infected area on Grookey's leg, the poison began fading away and Grookey's face began gradually turning back to it's usual shade of green as the monkey sat up before giving Serena a warm look of appreciation.
"Groo!" Grookey gave her a quick hug as Leaf couldn't help but aw out.
"How cute, it appears as if he likes y-"
"Grook!" Grookey immediately rushed over and began smacking the top of Leaf's head with his stick causing Leaf to let out an annoyed grunt before Serena quickly rushed over and pulled the monkey away!
"Grookey it's rude to attack people like that, you wouldn't like it if somebody just randomly started striking you like that would you?" Serena questioned.
"Fen!"
Grookey looked at Serena before lowering his head in shame as he realized that while it appeared to be fun to him he was actually making others feel the opposite.
"Grook..." He began apologizing before a lightning bolt shot at his feet causing him to let out an alarmed cry before shooting up Serena's body and attempting to hide beneath her hat as a large bipedal purple lizard Pokemon stepped out from behind a tree, blue electricity sparked atop his head as the lizard gave the small group a bored looking expression.
"Tox..."
"Well well, look viewers we managed to track down that troublesome Grookey! What should we do to it? Like if you want me to kill it, comment if I should save it!" A man's voice spoke from behind a dome shaped mask that blocked all physical aspects of his appearance from showing, instead bright purple lights in the form of a mouth, eyes and eyebrows appeared on the front of the mask and seemed to change depending on the mood he felt in order to showcase his emotions. It appeared members of the time like to be anonymous, made sense given they often did illegal stuff. The rest of his outfit consisted of a black and purple body suit, covering up every piece of his body while a large purple cape was draped around his shoulder for dramatic appeal!
"It is I, Billy Bob Joe but you folks can just call me Billy-Ooooh fangirls, hello!" The mask changed to that of a delighted expression as he noticed Leaf and Serena standing there, the two girls looked at one another with awkward expressions as they wondered who this guy was. "If you want an autograph I'll happily give you one as soon as I kill that Grookey standing behind you, sorry Grookey but the viewers have spoken and you must die!" The mask's face changed to that of skull as he threw out his arm.
"Toxtricity use Acid Spray!" Toxtricity fired off a massive glob of purple acid from his mouth as he took aim at Grookey, Grookey began shaking and shivering in fear causing the two to suspect that Billy must be the one that poisoned him! Serena was quick to act as she shielded Grookey with her own body, taking the hit as she let out a pain filled gasp as her face began turning purple. Grookey looked up at her with a shocked expression while Leaf's jaw dropped at the selfless action Serena had just performed, it was something that Ash would have done!
Fennekin responded by firing off an Ember at Toxtricity only for the Pokemon to brush it off with a laugh.
"Hahaha, you'll have to do better than that!" Billy laughed before shouting. "Overdrive!"
Toxtricity waved his hand as a guitar made from blue electricity formed within his hands before he gave the string a stroke, causing a massive electrical soundwave to burst across the field, knocking Leaf away from Serena while Serena toppled over to the floor with a sickly groan as the poison was getting to her. Leaf grunted as she was knocked down a hill and hurled a good distance away from Serena, the girl quickly stood up with bruise markings on her legs. "Serena I'm com-" Her words halted as a Vespiqueen hovered in front of her, appearing to have been disturbed from the ruckus made and blaming Leaf for it! Leaf cursed beneath her breath before grabbing a Pokeball as she prepared to do battle with the Bug type!
Poor Serena was stuck all alone with only Fennekin there to assist her.
"Hahaha, well looks like this hasn't gone well for you two. What do you guys think, should I kill the girl?!" Billy laughed as Serena was too sick with poison to respond. "Sorry girl but it appears as if your time just ran out, Toxtricity use Overdrive one final time!"
"Tox!" Toxtricity whipped out his guitar and was about to strike before a pink beam of psychic energy blasted from Fennekin's mouth, causing Toxtricity to stumble about for a bit while Billy gave his partner a quick look before throwing his head back with laughter.
"Cute but not good enough, I'll be more than happy to keep you though once your trainer's out of the way!"
Fennekin let out a growl before a bright blue light surrounded her body, Billy's mask turned to a shocked face as he slightly stepped back while Serena looked up with a weakened expression.
"F-Fennekin?"
"Fen!" Fennekin's body began changing and turning into a bipedal fox Pokemon while also increasing in height! Her appearance began looking a bit more feminine and almost a bit witch-like in design as well with her holding up a stick as if it were a magic wand.
"Braixen!" The newly evolved fox Pokemon chanted as she twirled the stick about before taking aim at Toxtricity. She fired another beam of pink psychic energy from her wand, the energy fired off was far stronger than it had been last time! The energy struck Toxtricity and sent him flying directly into Billy, knocking the man over and frying his suit as the electricity atop the Pokemon's head made contact with it!
"M-My suit! My precious views!" His voice sounded a lot different and a bit pathetic now as he stood up, the lights on his mask had disappeared leaving a simple black glassed dome around his face as he pointed at Serena. "Don't think you won girly, there's no point in continuing if nobody can see it! I'm out of this dump, it's not profitable anymore!" He threw his hand into the air before turning to walk off with Toxtricity.
"Serena!"
"Braix!" Leaf rushed over and looked Serena over with concern as Braixen and Grookey both had similar looks of concern. Leaf grabbed a few Pecha berries from her bag and squeezed them into Serena's mouth, the juice from the berries thankfully appeared to work as the purple slowly began to fade from Serena's face causing the others to utter out a gasp of relief in response.
"T-Thank goodness you're okay..." Serena gasped out before softly petting Grookey's head as the grass monkey affectionately pressed up against her.
"Braixen, brai!" Braixen cooed out, thankful that both of them were okay.
"You know, maybe you should catch that Grookey." Leaf proposed. "It sure seems to like you and Rillaboom would be a pretty cool Pokemon to use in a Showcase, Contest or whatever it is you wanted to do."
Serena looked down at the Grookey with a thoughtful expression before tilting her head as she popped the question. "Grookey, would you like to join my team? I-I think we'd do amazing work together and could put on quite the performances!"
"Groo!" Grookey formed a warm smile as he nodded in agreement before quickly reaching out to tap a Pokeball, allowing for himself to be caught as the Pokeball chimed almost instantly!
Ash and Bea now stood across from one another in an open field within the Wild Area, an excited look on both their faces as Espeon and Grapploct stood ready in front of their trainers as they were about to begin their battle!
"Alright Espeon, use Psychic!"
"Espe!" Espeon's eyes lit bright blue as a similar glow surrounded Grapploct, Espeon began lifting the squid Pokemon into the air before quickly dropping it upon the ground with a thud! Grapploct stood up with a light groan before brushing off the attack as he focused his attention on the Eeveelution.
"Brutal Swing!" Bea cheered as Grapploct reached out and grabbed Espeon with his tentacles, forming a tight grip on her before swinging her around and giving her a throw! Espeon was hurled through the air before collapsing in front of Ash as a dazed look formed within her eyes.
"Espe..."
"You honestly didn't think I specialized in Fighting types without having a few tricks to counter Psychic types?" Bea let out a laugh before forming a smirk. "Teaching my ace a Dark type attack has saved our bacon plenty of times and it appears like we can add another to the count! Grapploct use B-" Bea froze in shock as a familiar cloud of energy began appearing around Espeon's body, Bea gave Ash a questioning look only for him to raise up his arms with a confused expression across his face. Bea looked down at his wrists and noticed the lack of a Dynamax Band causing a similar look of confusion to form across her face as Espeon began to enlarge to the size of a kaiju, towering over Ash and Bea before letting out a cry of shock as she realized that the two were basically like toy soldiers now compared to her!
"E-Espe!" Espeon began freaking out as she wondered if there was a way to change back, she liked getting to sleep at her trainer's feet at night and it'd be harder to interact with her best friend in general if he was an ant compared to her! Espeon began letting out an anxious cry as Ash turned to look at Bea.
"What's going on? C-Can she change back?!" Ash was in a similar state of alarm as he hadn't paid attention to Venom's lecture so he was completely in the dark on what was occurring here.
"Yes, she can! At least I think so? Dynamax isn't permanent, it'll only last as long as the battle is going on. Of course you need to activate a Dynamax Band like this one," Bea held up her arm to showcase her Dynamax Band to Ash. "I can blatantly see you don't own one though so I'm not sure what's going on here," She tilted her head before smirking. "Well when in doubt, best to just go with your gut!"
"So it's a bit like Mega Evolution?" Ash asked, letting out a light sigh of relief while Bea gave him another questioning look as she apparently had never heard of Mega evolution before.
Bea activated the Dynamax Band upon her wrist as a similar glow surrounded Grapploct as the squid began to enlarge and soon tower over the two much like Espeon! Grapploct and Espeon stood face to face with another, looking like two kaiju ready to duke it out in a monster movie!
"Alright so the moves are referred to differently when your Pokemon is in the Dynamax state," Bea explained. "Espeon knows Psychic attacks so you'd want to use 'Max Mindstorm' while if I want to use a Fighting move I'd say 'Max Knuckle' but clearly that won't be the case for me this time!" Bea grinned as she tossed out her arm.
"Max Darkness!"
"Max Mindstorm!" Ash shouted out while throwing out his own arm! The two Max Moves fly towards their opponents and began clashing against each other as the attacks fought for dominance, Grapploct's attack overpowering Espeon's as apart from having the advantage, Bea was also slightly more experienced than Ash was at the current point in time! The Dark type attack got through and struck the giant Espeon causing the Eeveelution to let out a cry as she returned to her normal form while laying in a defeated heap before her trainer.
Ash was disappointed in his loss of course, him and Espeon certainly hadn't had it easy lately as they lost to Gladion, Primeape, Cross and now Bea. He hoped his luck would change soon but his relief towards Espeon being okay and the transformation being temporary fair excelled his disappointment as he dropped to his knees and pulled the Eeveelution into a hug. "We'll get her next time!" He vowed as Espeon silently murmured before being returned to her pokeball.
Bea and her Grapploct shared a hug as well before the Fighting specialist separated from Grapploct and walked towards Ash with an outstretched arm, a smile across her face as she offered him her hand.
"That was a good match, for a Psychic trainer you actually put up a decent fight. You'll have to train a bit harder to beat me but something tells me we'll have a rematch before you know it!" Bea smirked.
Ash smirked in return as the two shook hands. "You know it, next time Espeon and I aim to win!"
Bea let out a light laugh. "I look forward to our rematch but I will be the one taking home the win!" The two friends laughed for a bit before Bea spoke up as she backed away.
"Alright as fun as this was, I'm gonna head back. I know you were wanting to catch something so feel free to go off and explore, just be careful you don't get lost though!" Bea warned. "You may have a fair bit of time before you get caught but that won't do you any good if you get lost! Read the signs!" She called out.
Ash wondered what Bea meant by that as he raised his eyebrow before giving her a wave. "Don't worry about me Bea, I'll be fine! Good luck with your training!"
"And good luck with your badge quest," The two gave each other a smirk before turning to leave though Bea did cast a quick glance back at him as she walked away.
"Alright Larvitar, use Rock Throw!"
"Larrr!" Larvitar fired off a series of rocks at a Corvisquire that was perched atop a nearby bush, striking a direct hit at the wingspan as the bird let out a cry before attempting to take off only to comedically smack down against the ground as Larvitar rushed forward with a Tackle, dishing out a bit more damage before Ash pulled back his arm and threw a Pokeball at the raven! Corvisquire disappeared in a beam of red light as the ball hit the floor and began shaking, Ash clenched his fists together while watching the ball shake back and forth, the ball soon uttered out a chime to announce the capture a success causing the two to let out a victory shout.
"Alright we just caught a Corvisquire!"
"Lar, Larvitar!" Larvitar leaped up with his trainer before tensing up as a Salamence flew overhead.
"A Salamence!" Ash looked up in surprise and amazement as he saw it flying towards a rather foggy forest. "Where do you suppose it's going? That doesn't look like a normal area for Dragons to live."
"Lar?" Larvitar tilted his head cutely, being a baby it had no idea what Ash was talking about.
"Oh nevermind. Come on, let's try and follow it! Maybe we could find a wild Bagon!" Ash excitedly exclaimed as he scooped Larvitar into his arms before rushing into the forest after Salamence! The fog began quickly growing thicker, obscuring Ash's view and making it hard to see anything and it was becoming difficult to advance any further, especially as he lost sight of Salamence. "Come on Larvitar, we should probably go-wait is the exit?!" Ash frantically looked about as now no matter where he looked every direction was the same!
Ash dropped to his knees and decided to simply rest, hoping that perhaps the fog would clear up after a bit and allow him to see where he was going?
"Aroooo!" A loud howl was heard causing Ash to jump up with a frightened expression before turning in the direction of the sound.
"What was that?!"
"Aroooo!"
Ash narrowed his eyes as his body was currently in a battle of fighting over Ash's fear of the sound and his curiosity on what Pokemon it could be. It sure wasn't a Mightyena or a Houndoom, nor a Lycanroc or Yamper. Ash had met all of those Pokemon and knew what their howls sounded like by heart, whatever made that howl was something different which caused curiosity to win that day as Ash started walking towards the noise, Larvitar shook heavily within his grasp with quite the frightened look upon his face.
"Lar..." Ash felt bad for Larvitar and returned him, not wanting him to suffer due to his own curiosity. He continued trekking along but more slowly as he began approaching the source of he howl.
"What are those?" Ash noticed a blue lizard Pokemon and what appeared to be a black and white Zigzagoon! Across from them was a massive wolf Pokemon with a shield like mane, the Pokemon stood face to face with somebody else and it was only due to Lucario and Raboot's presence that he knew who it was.
"Zach? Hey Zach over h-" He went silent as the wolf along with everyone else had disappeared as if they were never there! Ash rubbed his eyes as he wondered if he was getting tired, perhaps he ought to just go back and get some sleep. Ash turned around and uttered out a loud terrified shout as there was a different wolf directly in front of him! This one had a long thick blue furred coat and what appeared to be pink braids going down the side of it's body, the tail was a similar color of pink. Ash nervously reached for an empty pokeball and reached out to tap the strange beast as it was uncomfortably close to him only to his shock, his hand and the ball went straight through it!
"W-What the heck?!"
"Arrrroooo!" The wolf howled before leaning closer, pressing it's nose up against Ash's as the fog would begin to quickly fade away before Ash would find himself back outside of the forest right where he was before he saw Salamence!
"W-What was that all about?" Ash asked before shaking his head. He couldn't tell if that was actually real or not? What were those wolves? Were they even real? Was Zach even there or was everything just in Ash's head as sleep was getting to him?! Ash ran his hand across his face with a frustrated growl before beginning the walk back to Stow-on-Side to hopefully get back before Venom knew that he'd left.
"Hey there hot stuff," Sabrina let out a gasp before giving a murderous glare to an annoying boy as he groped her ass. "How about the two of us head up to my room for some fun?"
"I'd rather do literally anything else!"
"I wasn't asking!" Leon smirked, pulling on her arm and forcing her into his grasp as he flashed her a smirk. "You and I are gonna f-" Pow! Ash socked him right in the face causing Leon's eyes to roll up before he collapsed to the floor as Sabrina looked down at him before looking up at Ash with a thankful and appreciative gaze, a light blush even forming across her cheeks as the moment made it a bit difficult to mask her feelings like she usually did.
"T-Thank you Ash,"
"Don't mention it Sabrina, I'd never let a creep like that touch my friends!" Sabrina bit her lip as she nervously looked away to hide a forming blush.
"Ketchum!" Venom's voice hissed out causing Ash to leap up from fright as Venom apparently realized his absence. "Ketchum you are in big trouble, just wait until Professor Oak and your mother here about this, you-" Venom suddenly paused in place with some drool pouring from his mouth as his eyes turned a rather familiar shade of blue. Ash let out a gasp and quickly turned around as if he expected to see Espeon there only she was still in her pokeball! The culprit was Sabrina!
The glow soon faded from Venom's eyes as he looked around with a confused look before focusing his gaze on Ash. "What are you looking at Ketchum? Get to bed!" He growled before turning away to head upstairs.
"What did you do?" Ash asked as he turned to face Sabrina.
"I simply wiped his memory about the entire incident from his brain, he thinks he spent the entire day drinking now as he can't remember a thing about it!" Sabrina let out a giggle as Ash gave her a nervous look.
"D-Do you do that stuff often?"
"Not really, don't worry I've never messed with you or the other classmate's minds. Not even Damien's!" Sabrina promised. "I only did that to save you in return for well-saving me." She blushed lightly.
Ash smiled before bowing his head in appreciation. "I see, thanks for that Sabrina. D-Do you want me to walk you to your room? In case he wakes back up?" Ash shot a glare at Leon as the boy laid passed out on the ground.
"Nah, he'll be out for a bit. Thanks for the offer though!" Sabrina gave him a light wave before quickly hurrying away as she discovered it was becoming harder to mask her emotions, she didn't want them to be discovered. Not yet...
"So like I showed you last night, I caught a Vespiquen!" Leaf excitedly exclaimed as she held up the ball. "But Serena also caught something!"
"Y-Yeah, I caught this little guy!" Serena gave a nervous smile as Grookey gave Ash a wave from atop her shoulder.
"Grooo!"
"A Grookey?! That's a great catch, Serena! Not every day that you can catch a starter, it looks quite energetic too!"
Serena blushed from his compliment as she nervously rubbed her arm. Leaf looked at her and began looking rather thoughtful as she wondered if she should push the idea of letting in Serena to Lillie or not.
"You guys are talking about your catches? I caught this little guy-ow!" Flash shouted as he accidentally poked one of Pincurchin's needles, giving himself an electrical shock!
"Groo!" Grookey pointed at him and laughed.
Ash couldn't help but snicker as well before the thought of the wolf Pokemon entered his mind again. It was definitely not a dream, Pokemon that Ash met or knew of had appeared within it before but upon further thinking he realized that he never dreamed about a made up Pokemon or a Pokemon that he'd never met back, his dream wouldn't be able to make up something like that! He wondered just what was going on here and wondered how long it'd be until he figured out what it was.
And scene! Got in a bit of Sabrina time for Ash, he got to meet a wolf and made a new friend/capture!
There's another Galar Pokemon I want to give him but it's coming later as I don't want to make Cerulean Gym too easy for him
