Chapter Twenty-Six
A feather boa
A/N Another fun one, Willow falls for RJ's spell and Tara is not best pleased. Starts out kinda racy sorry. I've been having a bit of a slow week so sorry if this is late.
Sunnydale, the world without shrimp 2002
Buffy burst through the door at random, her fingers catching on the lock as she uttered, "Sorry to interrupt." The math teacher seemed bemused by such an interruption that he stopped speaking. "Um, we need to see RJ Brooks down in the guidance office." It was a flimsy excuse but all she had premise for, she needed to see him. She wanted him. Pulling him down the hallway, RJ keenly obliged and followed her swinging hips and short skirted ass into an abandoned classroom. Buffy was too enthralled by him that she didn't care if he was staring at her figure. If anything, she kinda enjoyed it. Since Spike there'd be no one and she needed out, and he was easy on the eye and naive.
Her pull to him was uncontrollable and instant, after closing the door she used her wily charm to conjure him into kissing her. She was older than him and a sexy college girl and like a teacher. It would be bad of him to have sex with a teacher. But would kinda rock out with the boys on the football team if he did. Not that he needed anymore luck with the girls. Her eyes bored into him, her lip slightly quivering as the drool from looking at him subsided, this was different from the kind of love Dawn was feeling, to Buffy he was a pure lust bunny. A hunk of man she would like very much to get on top of. She couldn't help herself, he looked so tasty.
Pulling his face downwards to meet hers their lips crashed in a violent battle of tongues, her body pressing against his as her slayer instincts overtook her in an overwhelming desire to have him. Much like the spell she'd been put under by Xander but this hopefully wouldn't in a heartbreak for Willow, why would it? Buffy thought slowly. They pushed down onto one of the desks and she began to straddle him, leaning over his now flat chest, her hands rampaging his body.
Dawn stormed each hallway, finally stumbling across the hoarse affair between her love and her sister. Running outside, she raced for a nearby bench and settled her thoughts. Whimpering slowly at Buffy's betrayal. How could she do it? I trusted her. I completely trusted that she would let me have him. I love him and now she's gone and done this. I can't compete with her.
But her mind was so rudely interrupted by Xander's fastly approaching footsteps, he was wearing his hardhat and some overused pair of jeans. "Dawn, what's wrong?" He asked but he was pretty sure he knew what, or rather who was bothering her. He always still had a slight guilt about mentally hitting on her the night before, but for now he absolutely wasn't looking and he was comforting, comforting. WAIT! Buffy's doing what?! Boy that girl needs to learn some control. Xander thought, floating his brain through all of Buffy's past excursions. Riley, Spike, not so much Angel, and now RJ, Dawn's crush, she definitely needed to learn to control herself.
Dawn starts to sob a little more, great gasps leaving her lungs as she leaned down onto Xander's chest, wetting the cotton white of his shirt. After a few minutes of letting her emotionally bleed onto him, he peeled her away from him, decidedly walking away from her to sort this situation out. Dawn pawed after him like a puppy dog without an owner. "Dawnie I'll be back once I've sorted this out." He demanded as he walked quickly inside the building.
Upon finding the room RJ and Buffy possessed he barged himself inside, hoping to find them talking, but no. Oh no, it was much, much, worse than that. "Ahhh!" He recoiled as the two lovebirds broke away from each other for a second.
"Xander hi, this is RJ." Buffy explained as Xander looked at her in disgust, he couldn't believe she could do such a thing to Dawn, she knew how much she liked him. And now she'd been selfish and taken that away from her. So he made a quick angry joke and demanded she come home.
"Now, get off the boy Buffy. We're goin' home." He turned them, it was too much to look at her. He couldn't believe she'd done this. After all they'd been through, why another dig at Dawn? What would be the point? So like a fed up husband he dragged his best friend home for a serious talking to.
He rapped lightly on the door, the noise rippling through the house to the table, where Anya and Willow sat patiently researching random love spells whilst they waited for Xander and Spike to come back from visiting the brother. Tara was upstairs rummaging around their room for a book she'd misplaced that might help one way or another. Buffy was upstairs trying to comfort the distraught version of Dawn when the doorbell sound arrived, apparently no one had actually heard the quiet knocking and more force was needed.
Willow got up, expecting Xander to be back by now but the door opened to reveal a different face. She was surprised to see him, this arrival would not be a good one. He looked kinda nice, she guessed, but no, after what he'd done to poor Dawnie, he certainly wasn't welcome. "Oh, you have to be..." Willow said before RJ cut her off, she figured who he was quickly, the letterman jacket and the boyishness of him all pointed towards one suspect.
"I was lookin' for Buffy- Miss Summers?" RJ returned correcting himself to add a little formality to his approach, perhaps trying to hide his actions that day from whoever this redhead turned out to be.
"Buffy's not here. Go away!" Willow said sharply, it was defensive but really she just needed him out of the way, having him here would just make whatever spell he must have done, ten times worse, most love spells follow that pattern, like an out of control snowball they gradually get worse and worse. So Willow's approach was abrupt, not allowing RJ the opportunity to explain himself at all, but she refrained from shutting the door on him just yet.
"You sure?" He asked, questioning why she would be out this late and why perhaps there were so many people in this house as he saw a brunette approach from one of the rooms. But he guessed it kinda made sense that other people would be here if she was out, to watch the house? It seemed lousy but he went with it, trying not to express his slight embarrassment at liking a teacher.
"No Buffy for you, leave quickly now." Anya was at her bluntest today. It wasn't even a full sentence just a string of words that commanded he did what she said. And she was forceful.
RJ took it as a sign he wasn't welcome and turned his back, only turning briefly to say, "tell her to call me." It was a slight command but one Willow allowed him before leaving. But as he walked away she had a slight incline to watch him go, he seemed nice. She'd thought that earlier and now was no exception, as he swanked his way down the path onto the sidewalk his ass started to look rather attractive.
"Good thing Buffy and Dawn are upstairs. If they knew he was here-" Anya began to say quietly, barely a whisper over Willow's shoulder, but she didn't notice. Suddenly there was something so attractive about the boy walking away from them. That same thing stopped Anya from talking too, as she noticed him for the first time. No coherent thought ran through either of their minds, just RJ. All consuming RJ. I love RJ. RJ is mine. They were under a spell alright.
"Found it!" Tara exclaimed excitedly until she realised she was alone in the room, so her face fell slightly. Picking up the book she'd just spent over ten minutes looking for, she headed for the stairs in search of the almost shouting she'd started to hear coming from downstairs.
"It's RJ and what you were picking up on was his deep caring and devotion to me." Tara heard Willow's voice and maniacally descended the stairs. She was fighting with Anya, which wasn't exactly the biggest surprise, but they'd been getting on a lot better lately, Tara thought their fighting had subsided. But apparently it was just below the surface waiting to burst out at any slight hint of an argument.
"What is going on?!" She said reaching the squabbling females, her voice leaning on the 'what' and pushing her eyes firmly into Willow's for an explanation. But it was Anya who replied.
"Willow thinks she's in love with my boyfriend RJ." She said, pushing for Tara to take her side and let her have him. He was just so handsome and young and now he's gone and I want him to come back. I think we should have sex, that would be good. Tara stared pointedly at Willow, the big question on her face was, is this a joke? If not how? How did this happen? She took a step towards the redhead and took her hands.
"Willow? I-Is this some sort of joke? A-Are you tryna get me back for last night?" She said softly, it was gentle because if Willow wasn't joking, she really might cry. No Tara, you are strong, and you can fight. Yeah, big, tough strong me. But Willow just stared, not connecting to Tara like usual, but there was still love in her eyes.
"No, Tara it's not, I love him. I love RJ." There weren't slight tears in Tara's eyes, no not all, she wanted to believe her Willow would never say such a thing, and she'd come a long way since Oz came back almost three years ago. They'd been through too much now to fall out of love. But seemingly Willow had and it tore her apart. Anya wasn't saying anything just staring around the room, ignoring the inevitable fight Willow and Tara were about to have, daydreaming about RJ was what mostly filled her mind.
Tara looked down, trying not to cry. But Willow squeezed her hand softly, making her gaze back and lose herself in the redhead's deep green eyes for just a second. "No Tara it's really ok, because I love you too, I love both you and RJ." Willow said with a naivety she'd once had, but Tara couldn't handle it. She knew it was probably only a spell, but the words she was saying just brought back all the stupid thoughts she'd once feared that Willow would leave her. Find a nice boyfriend to settle down with.
It was at this moment that Buffy and Dawn heard the argument and joined the group at the bottom of the stairs, Buffy just catching the last sentence to pour from Willow's mouth. Tara looked desperately at Buffy for some help and reassurance, which was granted by kind eyes as Buffy questioned Willow's words. "Willow, you're a gay woman..." Buffy paused before realising where she was going with this, "and he isn't."
Willow's eyes slanted as Tara retreated from her and she addressed Buffy, who was questioning her love, her loving RJ with his heart and his wonderful soul. "This isn't about his physical presence." She said pointedly, but her voice softened as she finished the sentence. "It's about his heart." She did love his heart, he has a great heart. And she was kinda thinking Buffy was jealous of her love, that's why she's questioning me, she doesn't understand. She doesn't love him like I do.
"His physical presence has a penis!" Anya shouted, emphasising her last word just so, she couldn't see why Willow would want him, he was a man. A male with a sweet boyish yet manly charm about him, and he probably has a lot of muscle under that jacket, I would just love to get my hands on.
"I can work around it." Willow argued back, angry that Anya dare to question her still. Our love is special, emotional, I love his soul. Then the argument continued, Dawn pitching in about how this wasn't fair on her because they were older and more experienced than her and she'd never be able to compete with them. And then of course the argument over who loves him the most started and Tara quietly backed into the living room where she could at least try and block out some of the god awful things Willow was saying. Not that they were conventionally awful they just pulled on her heartstrings and could leave her utterly broken hearted if her Willow didn't return to her shortly.
