Hello my dear readers hahahaha I was supposed to be working on the next chapter of Demon Prince's Journey in Runeterra but I had this on my mind for about a year now and I wanted to write it. Since there are not many How Not To Summon A Demon Lord Fanfics, I tried to make one hahahaha and I like OP Characters hahahaha all of my Fanfics are about OP characters hahahaha. This is an Alternate Universe, I repeat an Alternate Universe Fanfic. And for those of you who read the novel, well, you are very welcome here hahahaha. For those who only watched the anime, I would recommend not to read this if you don't want to be spoiled since this contains major spoilers, especially since S2 will come out in 2021, I can't wait! In the game, there is only one person that is an existence that is called the true [Demon Lord].
Fantasy MMORPG Cross Reverie –––––
The true [Demon Lord] is not actually an official monster… or that is what the Developers led the players to believe.
But I had stumbled upon or rather, I had actually accidentally discovered it.
It was actually when I was going for the [Golden Week Event], the event where the《Demon Lord of Insanity, Modinalaam》was to be the [Event Boss Monster].
It was right after I defeated the《Demon Lord of the Tail, Tagl》, One of the 20 [Demon Lords] in the game. I wanted to check up on the event when something unexpected happened. The system updated and another event showed in my screen. The Message was, (EVENT: Give 10 pieces of the Original [Demon God] to 《Demon Lord of Insanity, Modinalaam》.)
10 pieces of the Original [Demon God]? Was it referring to the [Demon Lord] parts I was carrying? I got the [Demon Lord] parts when I was fighting the [Demon Lords] solo. They dropped the parts as part of the loot, aside from the coins and super-class rare item, when I had defeated them. The parts didn't particularly do anything, it had no effects whatsoever and they could not be used as craft materials. So I had no idea what else to use them for.
It was a bug, I thought. And so I casually went towards Modinalaam and I gave 15 instead of 10. I had defeated 15 out of the 20 [Demon Lords] so far, with the other's locations still unknown.
Modinalaam began absorbing all the [Demon Lord] parts or should I say the pieces of the Original [Demon God]? After absorbing the last piece. Everything went black. My screen was blinded by darkness and the next thing I know was a beep sound, after that a message could be seen, (《Demon Lord of Insanity, Modinalaam》{ERROR}) and it disappeared and another message showed, (《 Great Demon Lord of Insanity, Modinalaam》{ERROR}) and once more disappeared and another message showed with a beep, (《Demon God (Fake) of Insanity, Modinalaam》.
What… the… hell…? WHAT THE HELL?! I panicked.
Another message showed, (Defeat the《Demon God (Fake) of Insanity, Modinalaam》and save the world from ruin, losing will result in the delete of your account and the destruction of the world.)
WHAT THE HELL?! THIS IS CRAZY!
A timer could be seen on top of fake [Demon God] and there was a message on it. It read as, (Time before the destruction of the world 00:59:57)
WHAT THE HELL?! THIS IS A TIMED BOSS BATTLE?! AND FROM THE LOOKS OF IT THIS IS ALSO ONE OF THOSE BOSS RAID, WHERE A LOT OF PEOPLE TEAM UP TO BATTLE! OK GAME DEVS WHAT THE ACTUAL HELL?!
Modinalaam, who once had an appearance of a big black goat head having a thin body, now has a big black goat head with a third eye on his forehead just below his big horns which now he had an additional two, making it 4 horns, a gorilla for a body, equipped with razor-sharp claws. He had black wings on his back, and lastly a sharp tail that looks segmented with a sharp pointed edge. He was exuding a black aura and was pulsating with power.
Modinalaam's third eye extended out of its sockets and quickly grew in size. A light thick enough to cover my field of vision was then fired.
It was a flash of light that possessed a colossal amount of heat.
It was the《Ruination Flame》a magic attack that possesses the greatest power in Cross Reverie, a skill that the《Demon Lord of the Eyeballs, Iankaroz》possessed.
I quickly put my hand up and one of the rings on my hand emitted a sinister crimson brilliance.
It was the《Demon Lord's Ring: Enkvalos》that had《Magic Reflection》, the ability to reflect any and all types of magic.
The《Ruination Flame》then got reflected back at Modinalaam, making him receive all the damage.
Since he used the《Ruination Flame》of the《Demon Lord of the Eyeballs, Iankaroz》, I assume he could use the powers of the other [Demon Lords], but that is odd, if Modinalaam has all the powers of the [Demon Lords] parts, then why didn't the《Demon Lord of the Brain, Enkvalos》's 《Magic Reflection》activate? Or does it only activate when there are certain conditions?
I need to find out.
When the smoke cleared, I can see Modinalaam with his black wings or what was left of it, covering his entire body but it could be seen that a large chunk of his wings were missing and it was full of holes, his body also didn't come out unscathed.
I envoked《Ultimate Analyze》, making me see the《Status》of Modinalaam. I saw his stats, skills, and information.
And I was astonished of what I saw, his stats were in the 10 digits! A normal player in Cross Reverie that has reached the level limit of 150 only had about 3 digits in stats at minimum and 4 digits at maximum. While I, who achieved the impossible and broke the limits, discovered that the maximum level limit in the game is actually level 500. That is because I achieved the title of 《Limit Breaker》, a title that allows a player to break the limits and achieve level 500. But if I remove the title, my level goes back to level 150, as my level 500 is sealed, and will comeback if I equip the title once more. As a level 500, all my base stats are in the 5 digits. Meaning Modinalaam's stats are at least 100,000 times greater than mine. As expected from a [God], even if it is a fake. Next are his skills, all of them are the skills of the [Demon Lords] that I previously defeated along with his own unique skills. And lastly is his information, it can be read that he is a piece of the Original [Demon God] that has gained sentience but was made to be a creature of insanity, thus his name. After absorbing the other pieces, he is close to being whole once more and would once again wreak havoc upon this world.
I also noticed that one of his skills that he got from 《Demon Lord of the Hands, Hattjabul》, was greyed out. It was the skill 《Iron Wall》,it was a Martial Art that is perpetually active. It would void all damage but there is a number limit to the Damage Cut. Looks like me reflecting《Ruination Flame》caused his 《Iron Wall》to be completely destroyed. But his HP is in the 12 digits and his MP at 13 digits, much more compared to his health. He just used 《Ruination Flame》like it was nothing. Well, if I too had an MP pool of a number in the 13 digits, I will spam it as I like. With the 《Demon Lord's Ring: Myalo》that I got from the《Demon Lord of the Mind, Myalo》, all my skills/spells have a 100% cooldown reduction and with the 《Demon Lord's Ring: Stoma》that I got from《Demon Lord of the Mouth, Stoma》, all my skills/spells have no casting time, making it a spell/skill spammer move.
Modinalaam's body soon retracted what was left of its wings and its body then got bulkier. He soon then grew black scales all over his body. Along his black scales, there were crimson orbs. One on both his shoulders, one at his chin, three at his chest forming the shape of a triangle, one at the back of both hands, and one of both his knees. It was the same as the 《Demon Lord of the Body, Chros》, which had armored scales and had the abilities 《Physical Damage Immunity》and《Instantaneous Regeneration》. Meaning anything physical won't do anything to him, only magical attacks will work.
Now let us really see what the truth is behind your powers.
I activated my equipments; 《Demon Lord's Horns》《Demon Lord's Mark》《Demon Lord's Gloves》《Demon Lord's Boots》《Demon Lord's Cape》《Demon Lord's Armor》, making me receive the equipment set bonus that boost all my stats by an enormous amount, making all my stats at the 7 digits. A [Demon Lord] has stats at the 6 digits at minimum and 7 digits at maximum. Making me someone who can go toe to toe with a [Demon Lord] without worrying about being at a disadvantage.
I also took out and equipped《Lumiére Empereur》, a white magic staff that I can mentally command it to transform into a blade, after which the staff opens up in the middle like a pair of scissors, with the left and right sides forming a blade with a gap in the middle that has white lightning running through it, that shapes into a plasma blade made of light. After it is transformed into a sword, it is called 《Lumiére Empereur • Libéré》. The weapon has an effect that activates magical attack spells or physical attack skills ten-fold at a cost of extra expensing of MP or SP.
I then casted a《Supreme Spell》. By getting to level 500, the player can access the 《Supreme Spell》or《Supreme Skill》. One example is the one I'm about to cast 《Eta Carinae》. As I envoked the spell, 《Lumiére Empereur》's effect activated. Multiplying the magical attack by ten-fold.
Now let us see if your《Magic Reflection》will activate and I can prove one of my theories. My screen was then blinded again by white. After the light subsided, Modinalaam's form could be seen once more, or what was left of it. This was the first time I saw something or someone survive a《Supreme Spell》that was 10 times the maximum output. And I finally figured out the reason why Modinalaam's 《Magic Reflection》didn't work. He has different forms for the the different skills that he has. The form that he had now was an absolute anti-physical damage form. Meaning, there is another form that is an absolute anti-magical damage form.
Modinalaam's had pieces of his body missing, from his right arm to his shoulder, his two horns at the front, a portion of his tail, both of his legs. And all of the scales that covered his entire body was also gone.
His body then started jerking and spasming uncontrollably. All of the mentioned body parts that were missing was being regenerated except for the scales. But what was weird was that he started getting smaller. After about a minute, his body stopped getting smaller and Modinalaam just stood there without moving. His current appearance was a lean body with a big black goat head and a third eye on his forehead just below his four big horns, razor-sharp claws and lastly a smaller tail with a sharp pointed edge.
Looks like this is his anti-magical damage form. And by the looks of it, it is a close combat kind.
I then transformed my staff into 《Lumiére Empereur • Libéré》.
Modinalaam then activated the skill《God Breaker》, a skill that makes darkness that could be formed into objects that he got from 《Demon Lord of the Eyeballs, Iankaroz》. He formed it into two swords made of darkness. He then grabbed both of the swords tightly and used《Boundless》, a skill that is always active because of 《Demon Lord of the Feet, Pedia》to appear instantly at my location. He swung both his swords with the skill 《Certain Hit》always active thanks to 《Demon Lord of the Hand, Hattjabul》.
I braced myself and blocked both of his swords, since I can't evade due to 《Certain Hit》. He then started to recklessly tried to slash and stab me relentlessly. I then did my best to parry and block all of his attacks. Modinalaam suddenly roared, then proceeded to activate 《Godspeed》, a skill that 《Demon Lord of the Feet, Pedia》possesses which increases the speed of the user to an astronomical degree.
What I saw was a black blur coming straight at me. So I decided to fight fire with fire. Using《Demon Lord's Boots》's skill, I activated 《Godspeed》. Making me a blur as well. I then activated 《Demon Lord's Ring: Iankaroz》and materialized《God Breaker》 which I also formed as a sword, making me double wield. We then clashed once more, by appearing then disappearing and appearing again at different places.

I parried, blocked, counterattacked, again and again. The place that was once undamaged was now filled with holes, craters, slash marks, and spiderweb cracks. The sound of something being cut was heard and something dropped a few feet away from our location, it was an arm. We then clashed once more, locking each other in place. He was snarling like a beast and I was observing him.
Modinalaam's appearance was in a horrible state, three of his horns were gone, his left arm was missing and half of his tail was gone as well. He was filled with wounds all over his body.
I wasn't in a good state as well, since my《Iron Wall》was also gone after my consecutive clashes with him, I was wounded as well.
My HP was below 5% but his was surprisingly below mine if we are talking about percentages, his was more or less 1%. I managed to survive him but at the cost of expanding all my《Ultimate HP Potions》, which were not a lot, I only had 5 since I was not expecting to fight Modinalaam unprepared.
My opponent did a big slash but I managed to parry it with my 《God Breaker》sword and prepared to slash with 《Lumiére Empereur • Libéré》while unleashing a《Supreme Skill》.
《Infinity Break》, I envoked as《Lumiére Empereur • Libéré》effect activated, multiplying it by ten-fold.
Modinalaam was assaulted by countless slashes and was blown away. The only thing that remained was his head. Modinalaam roared much more intensely. Suddenly, his third eye quickly once again extended out its sockets and grew in size, firing《Ruination Flame》with all his remaining MP.
I recalled《God Breaker》and unequipped《Lumiére Empereur • Libéré》, as I raise my hand once more. Just like what happened at the start of the battle, I reflected back the attack towards Modinalaam, engulfing him as the sound of the attack muffled his scream. Once again, my screen was blinded by white. As it subsided, I couldn't see Modinalaam anywhere.
I gave a sigh of relief. Finally, it's over.
I then looked up to the timer

My vision was then blinded by darkness as I was now currently inside Modinalaam.

Now that explains it, I said calmly. I then once again activated《Godspeed》and ran towards a certain destination.
