Chapter 25: Getting Ready.

3 days left until the school festival.

All of the U.A students have been training until the collapse ever since Aizawa announced it. They would train during class and at home to increase their chance of victory.

However, our trio decided to take a break in the last couple of days. Midoriya, Jiro, Kaminari Himiko, and Eri were sitting on top of a large towel to avoid getting sand in their bodies. They were looking towards the sea, enjoying the movement of the waves as the sun started to fall and the moon started to rise. The melodies coming from one of Jiro's speakers added to the relaxing nature.

"This is nice," Kaminari smiled as he looked up at the stars. "After all the training Midoriya-sensei gave me I deserve this" Midoriya chuckled

"Himiko-sensei was relentless too! I never knew I could backflip into a split!" Himiko smiled.

"Kyoka! Do a backflip, that's an order!" Jiro stood up and quickly did as told, she landed safely on her feet. Himiko smirked proudly as she clapped and the rest did so too. Jiro bowed like a magician after he has done a trick, and sat down once more.

"So Himiko were you and your dad able to get a spot in the festival?" Jiro asked

"We did! I feel bad for the takoyaki guy tho" She remembered how the guy got down on his knees begging her and Matteo to let him keep the spot, Matteo, as the cold-blooded man that he is, simply said no and walked away. Himiko petted the top of Eri's head who was asleep on her lap.

After a while of silence, Kaminari remembered something he saw in the news and asked Himiko a question. "Hey Himiko, if you don't mind me asking, are you after the metal villain?"

Himiko sighed. "Yea, I am and so are Gentle and La Brava, but we can't find him! There are no camera recordings of him during a crime, only before and after the attacks, and his face is always invisible!" She whispered loudly in a way to not wake up Eri. "It's tearing me apart!" She ripped some of her hair out, and her hair was still the same.

"Ok, I'm not going to ask about that anymore. My b" Kaminari quietly sipped soda from a can."

"Alright, I think it's time to head out. Eri needs to sleep in a bed" Izuku stood up and started packing up. Soon everyone did the same, once done they said their goodbyes and left.

2 days until the school festival.

Izuku kept on writing and writing, trying to figure out the hidden secrets of stands and humans.

With his notebook on one side of his desk and a bible on the other.

"I was never someone that believed, but this makes way too much sense!" He said out loud as he wrote down everything that came to his mind

"The breath of life, something everyone has. Quirks an evolution in human history but if we were created in the image of God, we must have abilities that recreate that power. Both Quirks and Stands are the recreations of those God-like abilities. The power to control time is one of the strongest and somehow I have achieved that power. Yet something tells me that I'm just scratching the surface. In this diary, I will write everything that I know, to hopefully one day unlock the secrets of humanity and stands. To achieve heavenly power, to achieve Heaven.

I wouldn't call myself a person who desires power, but power is necessary in today's world. Villains are becoming stronger each and every day, and heroes are NOT catching up. There are only two reasons why heroes are on the top, at least in Japan. The reasons are numbers and All-MIght. If All-Might were to die, society in Japan would crumble. So I hope to unlock these secrets before that happens.

First, quirks. This evolutionary trait first found in humans has been hidden away in the DNA of humanity and just recently unlocked, however, I presume that quirks were found a long long time ago, via pillar-man and the stone mask. For what are pillar-man and vampires? They are humans whose tainted power comes with a caveat that of not being able to be under the rays of the sun without being destroyed, but why and how did we obtain this power with a lack of weakness, not sure, that's still a work in progress. But my theory is that quirks are a small gift given when we were given the breath of life

Stands are the larger gift. A power that hides within the soul. Stands are incredible and rare, powerful in many ways and weak in many others. The power of controlling hair, the power to heal thru pain, the power of stopping time. When a human evolves so does their stand. When I started my training I could only stop time for about a second, but now I can stop it for 3.5 seconds. Just recently did that half a second was added. After someone evil transformed into a vampire so did their stand become more powerful than before. Souls come in all shapes and sizes. Humans emotions, beliefs, and personality is what shapes their stands power and look.

After realizing that stands are connected to the souls of humans and their DNA, I started to look into the bible. That's when I discovered the breath of life, the origin of us. That's when we were given our soul and DNA. With that in mind, I kept on reading and reading. I learned a lot, and I think I have a clue about what is needed to obtain heaven. The first step is to obtain my stand The World, for time is what makes us human we are born we grow and we die. To control the flow of time is the power of God. The second step is to find a trustworthy friend someone whose will is the will of God, with no desire for power, fame, wealth, or sexual desire.

These are the first two steps for this plan, I will find more information later. I already wrote countless pages in this diary with how I came up with this plan. Soon I will write more but for now, I need rest. If someone is reading this have a good night! I have a daughter to take care of. Sleep well"

Izuku took his diary and walked to the poster of the Holy Diver, He pulled off the poster to reveal a hole in the wall he made not too long ago. He placed the book there and covered it back with the poster. He went to bed where Eri was sleeping.

1 day until the school festival

"Soon, you'll be able to leave Akuma" Overhaul looked at the other side of his desk where Stain sat.

"I told you to stop calling me that." Stain pulled out a knife and stabbed the desk with extreme force.

"My apologies, but it's confusing to call you by a name when there are two of you always present." Overhaul scratch the side of his cheek.

"He is the only reason why you're still alive"

"I know, but that's all I need, anyways now that we figured out how your stand works. I can't wait for your [KING CRIMSON] to fight against Dio's stand. Whose ability is related to time, or so I presume, once that's done. I will separate both of you, as promised."

"Hmm" Stain grunted "We both know that's a lie" He pulled the knife from the desk.

"Either way you have no choice, but I'm a man of my word, so you can trust me. Also, your stand is quite dangerous I don't want you mastering to the point of Akuza not being able to hold you back. If fusing you made [KING CRIMSON] defusing you should destroy it.

"Eri, I can't do that, I'll get us in trouble, we have to take the bus." Izuku zipped closed Eri's pink backpack.

"But Dad, you promised to do it," Eri said in her sweet angelic voice. Izuku relaxed his shoulder and tried to stand his ground.

"I promised to do it at night, but your mom needed you a bit earlier for some reason." Eri looked at her father dead in the eyes and then looked down at the floor.

"I really wanted to fly in the sky with you." Eri tilted her head slightly upward. Izuku knew he lost when she looked at Eri's red velvet eyes.

"Ok, we'll do it" Eri jumped in happiness even in her face didn't show it

"Himiko is teaching Eri all she knows isn't she" Izuku opened his closet and grabbed a green hoodie for himself and a yellow one for Eri. "Ok, but we need to hide our faces."

Father and daughter stood at the top of their apartment building getting ready to leave. Izuku used his stand to put Eri on his back.

"Alright Eri, hold tight and hide your face as much as possible." Eri's grip grew tighter around Izuku's neck. "And remember, nothing bad will happen, I'm always going to protect you. Ok, we leave in 3, 2, 1." And suddenly they were moving across the blue skies. People in the streets looked like ants walking on the ground. The cool wind felt nice as it rushed past them. This was much better than moving in the air while being hunted by Overhaul.

"So how is it!?"

"This is amazing, dad!" Eri's mouth went slightly upwards.

"So close, So close, she's so close!" Izuku smiled. "Want to go faster!?" Izuku asked as he was about to land at the top of another building

"Yes!" She said as they landed

"Here we GO!" and like that, they jumped away.

They were so close to reaching Himiko's house, but they were stopped by someone who Izuku knew. As they jumped from building to building, Kamui Woods showed up and started following them. He yelled at them to stop and so they did.

"Sorry to stop you sir, but I-"

"Why did you yell at my daddy!?" Eri angrily asked as Kamui got closer. Kamui stopped, he didn't see the little girl on the back of this hero?

"Sorry for yelling at your...dad?" The person in front of him looked too young to be a father but his eyes can only tell you so much. "Sir, I need to see your hero license, I don't recognize your costume"

"Don't have one," Izuku answered quickly. Kamui got into a fighting stance.

"Who are you!?" He yelled once more

"Don't yell at my dad!" Izuku chuckled.

"Sir, you are endangering your child! or are you a villain who doesn't care?"

"I'm not a villain, I'm not even real."

"Huh?" He asked, confused.

"You need to wake up" and just like that, they were gone. Kamui looked around for a trace of them. They were nowhere to be found, in fact, there was not a single person around the building. Kamui sat down. And closed his eyes. Terrified to open them.

Finally, they made it to Himiko's house. Izuku rang the bell and Himiko quickly opened the door.

"Mom!" Eri rushed into the hands of Himiko who picked her up for a hug. "How's my sweet cookie!?"

"We flew in the sky to get here! It was so fun! But then this bad guy showed up and yelled at dad!" Himiko raised an eyebrow at Midoriya.

"Kamui"

"Again? I think you have a secret admirer, Izu." She giggled. Himiko got closer and gave Izuku a quick kiss. "Just remember that you're mine ok?" Himiko caressed Izuku's glowing cheek.

"ye-ye-yea" was what came out of his mouth, resulting in Himiko chuckling again.

"Alrighty! See ya tomorrow!" Himiko walked into her house.

"Hey! I came here to stay for a little while." Izuku stopped the door from closing.

"No can do! I'm working on a secret project and I want to see your reaction with the rest of the others!"

"But!" Himiko's hair wrapped around Izuku and pushed him away. "Say bye Eri!"

"Bye, dad! Love you!" and the door closed.

"Love you too"

Time for the school festival.

4:00 in the morning and Izuku was ready to go. Well not, really he was still very sleepy, but he promised to meet Himiko and so did the others before the school festival starts. He grabbed his backpack and left his home.

Jiro, Kaminari, and Midoriya made it to the festival's entrance where some people were already setting up their food and game stands. Thankfully they were able to find Matteo's stand by the smell of food alone. Once they made it there. They found the cutest thing you could possibly see. It was Eri, wearing a professional white chef coat and hat that had a yellow heart at the center of it. The chef coat had small red hearts instead of buttons. Eri had a spatula in her right hand and a small pan on the other. Yes, she was making herself breakfast with a smiling Himiko watching over her. Eri turned around and saw her family approaching her.

Matteo's stand consisted of one large grill on the front, with a small table beside it that had a register on it to ring people up. On the back, there was a small generator that gave power to a cooler where meat was stored and another one with vegetables in it. The generator also gave power to a fan, a small tv, and a small electric stove where Eri was currently cooking. There were also 2 more tables, one with 3 cutting boards and a knife for each one. Each cutting board was colored differently, one green for vegetables, one red for meat, and a yellow one for chicken. A trash can was placed near to dispose of any scraps. The other table was meant to be used for eating, or for a break whenever the food ran out. How did all of this fit in here? Amazing organizational skills!

They all thought the same thing. "This is the cutest thing I have ever seen." Chef Eri turned her head and noticed that some of her family had arrived.

"Dad! Uncle! Aunt!" Eri waved her spatula quickly and she resumed cooking her eggs.

"Why am I always the last one?" Jiro sadly taught herself. They went around the grill to look at Eri closer.

"Was this the surprise?" Denki asked.

"Yes, It was!" Himiko replies

"Worth it." They all whispered.

"Also Matteo is going to make you guys some breakfast before the tournament" Himiko turned off Eri's stove as she just finished cooking her food. She pulled some foldable chairs and opened them up around the table. "Matteo went to the bathroom, he should be back in any minute now" She sat down beside Eri who was already munching on her food. "He also brought some water to wake you guys up."

The rest of them sat down and waited until Matteo showed up.

"Buongiorno everyone!" Matteo said hello with his usual optimism. "Ready for the big day!?" Matteo immediately went for the electric stove.

"I feel like I have a pit in my stomach, and what little is in there, is turning and twisting all around!" Kaminari closed his eyes as he explained how he felt. The others nodded, sharing similar feelings.

Matteo grabbed a pan and poured a bit of oil in it, he turned the stove on low heat and placed the pan. "Well, those nerves are killing you aren't they? I know that feeling!" Matteo grabbed some vegetables from the fridge and started chopping them.

"You do? From what?" Jiro was watching how masterfully Matteo was able to chop mushrooms and tomatoes.

He chuckled. "Every time I cook something new, any time I feed a new customer, I get that same feeling whenever I see them chew." The sound of sizzling got louder as the ingredients hit the pan. "For I'm afraid they won't like it, that they will spit it," He cracked some eggs and he mixed them up in a bowl with some seasonings. "But, when I see them smile when they give me compliments! The feeling goes away in a *snap*" He snapped his fingers as he said so. He poured down the eggs "And that feeling of happiness rushes in four times stronger than the bad feeling in my stomach" He cut the omelet in three, sprinkled a bit of parsley, and placed each one of them on a different plate to hand them over. "That feeling is temporary, for now, eat, get ready, and give it your all!" ... TO BE CONTINUED
