50. The Coronation

Chapter 50 The Coronation

Its been a couple weeks since Sean was found in the Swamps and since part of his warrior spirit came back. Not completely but a piece of it.

His daughters were happy to have him back as was his wife.

Right now Sean watched as the girls were practicing Waterbending on Meelo who was frozen in place by Sean using old magic he learned from Freya to keep him from running away.

"WHOA!" Meelo yelled dodging Annabeth's blasts before Calliope froze his face before Katara hit him down making them cheer while Sean laughed.

"Nice work girls." Sean said freeing Meelo.

"Why do I gotta be target practice?" Meelo asked annoyed.

"It's not my fault you annoy your sisters so much that they made you do this. Maybe next time try to be less self centered." Sean said making him sulk before walking away.

Walking to the beach Sean saw Korra was creating a massive wave before turning it to ice.

"Never ceases to amaze me how far you've come in three years after that day." Sean said making her smile as she walked to him and kissed him.

"I had a reason to get stronger since that day. How you feeling?" Korra asked.

"A lot better than I have emotionally the last three years. My connection is still fucked though. Who knows how long thats gonna last." Sean said.

"Well...I'm just glad you're ok. We'll get it back one day." Korra said.

"I know. But I've enjoyed every single day I had with you and the girls. The one thing that kept me happy all these years." Sean said making her smile as she held him.

That is until a small wave hit them making them spit out the water.

"What the?" Sean asked before they heard giggling making them grin seeing the girls behind a rock. "Girls." Sean said.

"Calliope's idea." Annabeth said.

"NO IT WASN'T!" Calliope yelled.

"Yes it was." Katara said.

"Doesn't matter you're all getting punished." Korra said before she created a small tornado of air around them making them yell before they flew into the ocean making the parents laugh as they came back up and laughed.

"I swear you three get this from your mother." Sean said.

"Hey." Korra said annoyed.

"Hey need I remind you when we were kids you made us go out into a snowstorm and found Naga." Sean said making her grin.

"Ok fair point." Korra said.

Later

"I DON'T FUCKING BELIEVE THIS!" Sean yelled.

Reason he was angry? His armor wouldn't fit anymore since he lost half of his muscles from the two weeks in the swamp.

"Oh my god." Korra giggled.

"I don't believe this. The hell am I supposed to wear?" Sean asked as Korra put his armor away.

"Well you could always dress like a normal person. And since you grew up in the South..." Korra tried to say.

"Don't even think about it. I may love our home but the Southern clothes just don't look good on me since I was a kid." Sean said making her giggle

"Yeah I guess thats true." Korra said.

"Screw it." Sean said before using his magic to put something else on. His father's Spartan Captain armor.

"Huh. This actually looks good on you." Korra said inspecting him.

"Yeah well my dad didn't have as much muscle on him during his regular days." Sean said.

The reason they were getting dressed respectfully was because Wu would be crowned King today.

"How some loser like him becomes King is beyond me. He's more interested in popularity than running his kingdom." Sean said.

"Yeah I can tell. Still we might as well dress for the part." Korra said as they finally left with the others.

Arriving at the hotel where everyone would meet up they saw several people from all over the world including from Greece, Norse and Egypt.

"I'm surprised these people are even here. Not like this punk is well liked." Sean said.

"Maybe not but they are trying to keep everyone united against the Devil." Korra said.

"Still surprised on that. I should have known it was him. Who else would gain from such suffering?" Sean asked.

"No point in thinking about it now." Korra said.

"There you are." Luke said walking to them with Reznov and Julia.

"Hey Luke." Sean said getting into an arm lock with him.

"Where the hell were ya Kruger? Everyone was looking everywhere for ya." Reznov said.

"Long story. Short version I was in the swamp and met Hephaestus." Sean said surprising them.

"Wait Hephaestus is still alive?" Julia asked.

"Him and a few other gods besides Freya and Baldur." Sean said.

"So the old weapon's smith is still alive." Baldur said walking to them.

"Basically. Helped me recover some of my warrior spirit." Sean said holding his axe perfectly.

"Well, theres a plus. Now if only you could do the world a favor and kill him." Reznov said glaring at Wu who was looking at himself int he mirror.

"How the hell does he end up becoming the new King? He's gonna be just as bad if not worse than the queen and her daughter before they were both killed." Sean said.

"I feel sorry for Mako. Poor sap has had to body guard him for months." Luke said making Sean chuckle.

"Hello, Republic City!" Bolin said rushing in. "Bolin is back." Bolin said.

"Well at least the good things in people never change." Sean said gaining his attention.

"Sean? Your back!" Bolin said running to him before pulling him into a hug.

"Uh Dude? I'm happy to see you too I am...But put me down." Sean said making him blink before doing so.

"Sorry. Got a little excited there." Bolin said rubbing his head.

"I can tell. Still it's good to see you after a while." Sean said.

"Never thought I'd be allowed back in Republic City four elements." Varrick said gaining their attention as Sean narrowed his eyes.

"You have got to be fucking kidding me. Why the fuck is he here?" Sean asked annoyed.

"Oh...While we were gone Varrick was given a full pardon because of Kuvira." Korra said making him growl.

"And I just lost some respect for her." Sean said.

"Well look at these little girls. I'll bet they could help with some experiments of mine." Varrick said looking at all three who looked at each other before using the water in the room and froze him making the parents widen their eyes before bursting out in laughter as did everyone else.

"NICE WORK GIRLS!" Sean yelled in approval making them smile.

"Guys?" Mako said gaining their attention.

"Well most of the group is all here after all these years." Sean said.

"Now it finally is." Asami said walking to them as Calliope ran up to her making her smile as she picked her up.

"Excuse me my lady." Wu said behind Korra creeping her out.

"Um...Can I help you?" Korra asked.

"So you're the famous Avatar. I can't help but notice you look a little lonely." Wu said flirting making her frown.

"I have no idea what you're talking about. Beat it." Korra said.

"Come on now. I'm sure I can keep you company. I am royalty after all and I can make your day very exciting...Even in Bed." Wu said making her eyes twitch at that.

"Get lost." Sean said pushing him back on the ground much to his shock.

"Who do you think you are? I am going to be a king today you filthy peasant!" Wu yelled.

"He happens to be my husband and I'm very happily married and have three kids.. Have been for 4 years now." Korra said smiling as she held her necklace that Sean made when he proposed to her in the South.

"I very much doubt a mere thug could keep the Avatar satisfied. I am royalty." Wu said.

"And I'm the son of a god and half god and Grandson of the ruler of Olympus. Do you see me bragging about it? No. Royalty might get you somewhere with those who are useless fangirls but not us. Get lost." Sean said making him glare.

"I'll make you pay for this and the Avatar will be mine." Wu said.

"Oh I'm so sure. Get lost." Sean said before Wu stomped away.

"And you have to guard that?" Luke asked Mako who sighed.

"You have no idea how difficult it is putting up with him. I'd rather be in another war." Mako said.

"That I can understand." Sean said.

"Sean?" Suyin asked approaching him.

"Hey Suyin Long time no see." Sean said.

"Your looking far better than the last time I saw you." Suyin said pleased.

"I've had some help from an old family member." Sean said before her son approached them.

"Hello Mother." Baatar said.

"Hello, Baatar Junior." Suyin said displeased.

"It's just Baatar now. Kruger it's good to see you again." Baatar said.

"Yeah it's been a while." Sean said.

"So, Now that you've seen all the good we've done since we left Zaofu, you must be sorry that you didn't come and help us." Baatar said to his mother.

"I don't know if I'd call marching all over the Earth Kingdom, forcing people to bow to Kuvira, Doing good." Suyin said not happy about that as Sean and Korra looked at each other raising an eyebrow.

"I have no idea." Korra said making him shrug

"You're going to have to get over your grudge with her. I'm sure you've heard that we're engaged. She's going to be an official member of our family." Baatar said.

"I'm just glad that she'll be stepping down after tomorrow." Suyin said.

"Kruger be brutally honest. Would you rather have Kuvira or that idiot who just tried to flirt with your wife?" Baatar asked.

"The first without any question." Sean said annoyed since he never really paid much attention to what Kuvira was doing when he and Korra were raising the girls. But still regardless anyone was better than Wu without question.

Thats when they saw said idiot now flirting with Kuvira.

"I hope I'm not out of order saying this...You're pretty easy on the eyes for a military type. I'll put in a good word for. you with the hotel staff, maybe get you a little upgrade. I've been living here for years. They love me." Wu said making Sean's eyes twitch in annoyance.

"This idiot is more annoying than Perseus a thousand times over. And I really mean that." Sean said.

"In this case yeah I agree." Korra said.

"I won't be needing your help. We've reserved the presidential suite." Kuvira said.

"Well, I think someone is pulling your chain, gumdrop. See, I'm in the presidential suite." Wu said arrogantly.

"Not anymore. I had you moved out." Kuvira said smirking making Sean and the others snicker.

"Wait, What? Cam, Where's all my stuff?" Wu asked one of the employees in worry.

"We moved you into a very nice junior suite on the Seventh floor." Cam said.

"Junior suite?" Wu asked depressed.

"Something you should know about me I always get what I want." Kuvira said smirking.

"HAHAHAHA! Oh this is just as good as roasting Perseus." Sean said chuckling getting her attention.

"Kruger. Its been a long time." Kuvira said.

"Three years. I hear you've made a rather large impression on the earth kingdom." Sean said.

"Since Zaheer was locked up someone had to take control. Luke and the others helped keep most of the peace but someone needed to keep a tight leash on the nation." Kuvira said.

"I can understand that. Lets just hope that idiot doesn't make things worse than his aunt and Cousin." Sean said.

Later

Soon enough the coronation was underway as everyone watched.

"Oh this is just stupid. The guy shouldn't be a king period." Reznov said.

"On that I agree. Something tells me he's gonna abuse his power in the first ten seconds." Sean said before the little King was given a piece of jewelry from his aunt since the crown was stolen. "HEH!" Sean snickered with his wife and kids. "Girls remember never to turn out like him or his family." Sean said making them giggle.

"Yes Daddy." Annabeth said.

"Now as my first act as King...I am order the execution...Of that man right there!" Wu yelled pointing at Sean making everyone gasp.

"What did I say. Ten seconds." Sean said.

"Officers arrest him." Wu said grinning making them gulp before they approached him but gasped when the ground turned to lava and not caused by Bolin but Korra who glared at them.

"Lay a finger on my husband and you're dead." Korra said glaring at Wu.

"Now Avatar Korra I'm sure you mean well but clearly your in an unhappy marriage. I will give you the life you deserve." Wu said thinking she would be swooned to his side.

"I would rather die than ever be romantically involved with some nobody. Being a king doesn't mean you're something special to everyone." Korra said shocking him. "Like I said I'm happily married and love my husband and my kids. Now buzz off." Korra said making everyone glare at Wu.

"Hmm. Maybe you need some more incentive. Arrest her daughters to be executed as well. This way she won't have any baggage." Wu said shocking everyone before Sean roared as he jumped at him before pulling out his axe making him scream in fright as he crawled away. "You wouldn't dare kill a king! I'm royalty!" Wu sobbed.

"You are a pathetic little man! I killed your Aunt with this very Axe. I only wish I killed your cousin as well. But you...Your not even worth killing. Why kill someone who can't even die with his dignity." Sean said seeing the wetspot on his pants making him sob before Sean snarled at him before placing the axe on his back before jumping back to his wife and daughters.

"You three ok?" Korra asked the girls who nod.

"I knew this was gonna happen." Sean said.

"I'd like to say something." Kuvira said stepping up.

"Be my guest." Sean said sitting back down.

"Growing up in Zaofu with Suyin Beifong, I learned the idea of a royal family passing a title from one generation to the next was archaic, and that technology and innovation should be what drives a nation forward. It was the pathetic rule of kings and queens that caused the Earth Kingdom to descend into such incredible disarray." Kuvira said.

"That mostly depends on who's actually in charge." Sean said to Korra who nods.

"It's taken me three years to get it back on track, And there's no way I will allow it to slip back into the dark ages." Kuvira said.

"Where is she going with this?" Reznov asked.

"Lets find out." Sean said.

"I'd like to make an announcement to the world as a whole. The Earth kingdom is no more. And from here on out, this man has no authority." Kuvira said shocking Wu while the rest didn't seem to care since his little stunt.

"Wait, what? But I just got the royal Brooch!" Wu whined making Sean roll his eyes in annoyance.

"Self centered idiot." Sean said watching his language around the girls.

"Moron." Korra said doing the same.

"I have created a new Earth Empire, and I will continue to lead it into the future myself, bringing about a new era of prosperity for my people." Kuvira said as her supporters cheered for her which was a lot compared to Wu's that was now nonexistent.

"What is she up to?" Julia asked.

"Hold up." Sean said.

"And Let me assure my fellow leaders of one thing." Kuvira said. "Anyone who crosses our borders or stands in our way will be crushed." Kuvira said making her supporters cheer.

"NO!" Wu yelled before stomping to Sean. "Your supposed to be some legendary warrior. I order you to Remove her! " Wu yelled.

"You expect me to take your orders after you tried to have me killed and my daughters just so you could sleep with my wife? Your more pathetic than I realized." Sean said before Wu slapped him much to everyones shock.

"I AM A KING! I CAN DO WHATEVER I WANT! NOW REMOVE HER NOW!" Wu screamed making Sean glare at him.

"Buzz off. I'd rather Support Kuvira than some little brat." Sean said.

"LOSER!" Annabeth yelled making her sisters laugh making Wu growl before grabbing a juice drink and threw it at them making it splash on them which shocked everyone.

"Oh my." Senna said as she tried to rub it off Calliope's face who started crying.

"Mother..." Turok said pissed off as he grabbed some towels.

"WHY YOU!" Sean roared pulling out his Axe making Wu cower in fear as he backed into the stand as Sean stood over him. "You are nothing but a spoiled little brat. My kids are far more mature than the likes of you!" Sean yelled enraged.

"What are you gonna do to me?" Wu asked before Sean smirked.

"Oh...It's not me your gonna deal with. If I dealt with you it would be quick and painless. Her on the other hand." Sean said turning to his wife who looked beyond enraged.

"Now Avatar I...AHHHH!" Wu screamed as his arms and legs started twisting against his will shocking the others realizing Korra was actually bloodending him like Amon could without a full moon.

"I learned a lot from Chiron for three years to protect my family. I reserve this for the very worst. And you just marked yourself at the very top of the list." Korra said as she twisted his limps making Wu scream in agonizing pain as every part of his body twisted painfully before She kicked him into the stand hard knocking him out.

"Still surprised you learned that but as long as you reserve it for people like him I'm perfectly fine." Sean said making her nod before Korra used water bending to clean Katara's face.

"Are you ok sweetie?" Korra asked making her nod.

"Lets get the hell out of here." Sean said picking her and Annabeth up while Korra got Calliope.

Later

"When did you learn blood bending?" Tonraq asked.

"From Chiron. I told you I never wanted to feel that helpless ever again. So yeah I learned it but I only use it for the worst like him. I don't enjoy it but I will use it if I have to." Korra said to everyone.

"Korra that technique is Illegal for a reason" Tenzin said.

"I know. Believe me I haven't forgotten how it feels to be on the receiving end. But I'm not gonna use it unless I have no choice. Wu just pissed me off so bad that I used it this time." Korra said.

"Did you know about this?" Senna asked Sean.

"Of course I knew. I was there with her when she trained with Chiron. I was against it but I saw she determined to get stronger by any means. She's only used it on criminals during Chiron's training and Wu. No one else." Sean said.

"I promise I won't use it unless I have to." Korra said making Tenzin sigh.

"So long as its only on those like your past enemies I can live with it. But be careful." Tenzin said as he and many of the others left.

"I understand why you took the training. If I had been in your shoes I would have done the same." Sean said to Korra who nods before kissing him.

"I'm gonna check on the girls." Korra said checking on their kids.

Sean sighed as he sat down before someone knocked on the door before he answered it and Suyin walked in.

"Hey Su." Sean said.

"How are the girls?" Suyin asked concerned.

"Ah they'll be fine. Kuvira's got my full support after that stunt. I'd rather have her in charge than that punk." Sean said making her frown.

"You might wanna think that one through." Suyin said.

"What do you mean by that?" Sean asked.

"Sean...Have you been paying attention to whats been going on with Kuvira and her army?" Suyin asked.

"No...I knew Luke and the others were involved so I figured everything was fine. I heard rumors every now and then about her getting the job done. My main focus was spending time with my family" Sean said.

"Well...The thing is while Kuvira has stabilized the Earth kingdom...She's no different than the queen and her daughter since she's conquering it not uniting it. She's forcing people to what she pleases and strip mining certain areas." Suyin said making him frown.

"Why hasn't the United forces stepped in? I heard Baldur and Freya were taking away most of Raiko's power." Sean said.

"They wanted to but Kuvira assured them she could handle everything. At the time they thought her control would only be temporary but now..." Suyin said.

"What do you want me to do? I just finally started to hold my weapons again without my hands shaking. My connection is still gone." Sean said.

"I'm not saying you should do anything at the moment. I'm just letting you know whats happening." Suyin said leaving.

Sean sighed before Korra came back out.

"I got the rest out of their eyes. I'm royally pissed at him." Korra said before seeing the look on his face before she walked to him. "Whats wrong?" Korra asked.

"Kuvira is conquering the Earth Kingdom not uniting. Suyin just told me everything. She's acting no different than the queen and her daughter." Sean said.

"And you're afraid of what might happen next." Korra said.

"Yeah...The United republic used to be part of the Earth Kingdom. I'm worried she might come here as well." Sean said as she held his face.

"I'm sure that won't happen. Everything is gonna be ok." Korra said kissing him as he held her close.

Later that night

Sean and Korra slept peacefully as he held her while the girls were asleep in their room.

Thats when Sean found himself back at the Metal clan seeing a massive army with Kuvira's symbol before seeing her standing over Suyin.

Sean opened his eyes sweating a little before sighing as he leaned up and held his face.

"Whats is it?" Korra asked sitting up to hold him.

"My Mother just sent me a vision. Kuvira's gonna invade Suyin's home." Sean said shocking her.

Morning

"Are you absolutely sure?" Tenzin asked as they were in Raiko's office.

"My visions have never been wrong before. My mother sends them to warn me to stop something from happening. Thats how I knew Zaheer came after me and Korra the second time and when Unalaq sent Megaera after her at the Eastern Air temple when he thought I was dead." Sean said.

"This is most troubling. If Kuvira takes the Metal clan she'll have full control of the Earth Kingdom and have the largest military in these lands." Raiko said.

"We'll get the united forces ready." Tenzin said.

"By the time you get them ready it'll be too late. Me, Korra and Tenzin's kids will go there and try to talk Kuvira out of this. Maybe she might at least listen to me." Sean said.

"Oh she would listen to you but not the rest of the world?." Raiko questioned making everyone glare at him.

"You shut up. You were not asked to speak." Sean said making him glare.

Later

Everyone was getting on Dojo to head off.

"Your leaving again?" Annabeth asked.

"Only for a couple days at best. I'll be right back." Sean said kissing her forehead.

"I want you to behave for your grandparents while we're gone." Korra said to Calliope and Katara.

"Ok." They said as she held them close.

"We'll be back soon I promise." Sean said kissing their foreheads before they got on Dojo and flew off.

"Don't worry we'll be back for them soon enough." Korra said making Sean nod as Dojo flew them to the Metal Clan.
