Sin's Design
A Final Fantasy X poem
By: Novalon
I saw a young man, thin and tall,
On the soft beach, holding up his head
Like a somber person wishing to be dead-
Assorted bodies of deathly white
Around him in the evening light,
Like scattered pebbles on a beach I said-
A depressed youth, the sand like lead
And pyreflies twinkling off into the night.
What had the man to do with being right,
The lingering death and his wishing end?
What brought the young man to that fight,
Then died the warriors thither in the light?
What but scheme of Sin to know?
If death lingered in the living so.
