Unfinished Business

Prologue

A last thought rushed through my head as I fell to the ground.

The life that I knew was over.

The war was raging around me, the good fought the bad, the bad killed the good, everyone tried to survive in the last battle until there was nothing left. Families were murdered, friends were slaughtered, and enemies succeeded.

As I was hit by a flash of green light, my mind went numb, erasing everything that I ever knew. A deep emptiness filled my soul as I collapsed, my legs unable to hold me any longer.

It was over.

There were screams around me, noises that had influenced my life ever since the Second War had begun. Suddenly there was silence, as if a heavy, dark blanket had been fallen onto me and everything that surrounded me.

I was caught, motionless, in the deepest darkness I had ever seen, the quietest silence I had ever heard, with the most terrible emotions I had ever felt.

This is the end.

I, Ginny Weasley, had been sixteen years old on the day that I died.

Author's Note:

Welcome! If you are a Tom Riddle fan or a Ginny fan or both, then this might be something for you. As you might have seen, this story is rated T - but there are several scenes clearly rated M, so do not fret, this fan fiction offers a certain degree of fanservice as well. This is what we are here for, after all.

Now, just a few notes before you can continue:

This is set somewhere in Ginny's sixth year. Note that I started writing this story before The Deathly Hallows was released (Feb 2007), so I had no knowledge about events happening in that book, therefore this fan fiction will not cover anything from The Deathly Hallows (except, coincidentally, the fact that there was/will be a huge battle at Hogwarts where a lot of people died - including, at least in my version, Ginny, as you have just learned). I also took the liberty of changing a few things we learned about in the Half-Blood Prince, but you'll see those eventually.

Right now, don't get too confused about this note, just wanted to add a little info as I'm in the progress of editing and eventually continuing this story (Feb 2020). Happy 13th birthday, Unfinished Business!
