CHAPTER 1

Marinette Dupain-Cheng was having one hell of an afternoon at school after lunch break. First, Miss Bustier called her up to the front of the classroom to say that she has received an anonymous tip that she has stolen the answer sheet to the test her class just had and hid it in her bag. Imagine everyone's surprise when the sheet is found in her bag. Not to mention that she aced it which made her more suspect. A lot of her friends have come to her defense knowing she wouldn't do a thing like that. But unexpectedly, one person who is definitely not her friend suspiciously spoke in her defense as well.

That person was Lila Rossi.

Lila Rossi, the girl who came to the school and made her mark there with all the stories of her exciting life like all the celebrities she has met and her honorable accomplishments. Of course as Marinette has discovered, there were all lies to gain popularity and influence everyone else around her. After making it clear that she wasn't going to fall for her lies, Lila then threatened Marinette in the bathroom saying that she will turn all of her friends against her and that their mutual crush Adrien Agreste (though Marinette is genuinely in love with him while Lila just lusts after him for his looks and fame) will be hers. But upon advice from Adrien himself, who also knew that Lila was a liar, Marinette decided not to expose her after all thinking that she will be found out eventually.

So when Lila unexpectedly spoke in her defense of the cheating scandal, Marinette looked into the girl's eyes, realized that Lila planted the sheet in her bag and was the anonymous tip, and accused her out loud. In retrospect, she realized she shouldn't have done the last thing. Otherwise, the actions that occurred right after wouldn't have happened.

On the way to the principal's office to get to the bottom of the cheating scandal, Lila walked down the stairs and screamed she was in pain after Marinette pushed her down. That was when Marinette's parents were summoned and they showed their loving support of their daughter. Lila then accused her of stealing her grandmother's heirloom necklace and hid it in her locker. Marinette guides Lila, her parents, and Mr. Damocles to her locker in the locker room. Co-incidentally, the rest of the class was there and couldn't help themselves checking out the situation between Marinette and Lila. They were just as shocked as everybody else when Lila's necklace was found in Marinette's locker.

"I didn't take it! She planted it there to frame me! You believe me, don't you, Adrien?" Marinette protested as she looked at everyone else, now looking in Adrien's direction begging for support.

"Mr. Damocles, sir, I don't think…" Adrien was about to speak up in Marinette's defense until Mr. Damocles silenced him.

"Marinette Dupain-Cheng, you are hereby expelled from Francois DuPont High School!" Mr. Damocles announced leading to more shock from everyone else.

Adrien, however, have never felt so angry in his life that his blood is starting to boil. With all that anger, he did something that no one has expected to see him do: he yelled!

"Mr. Damocles! With all due respect, you can't do that!"
