As it turns out, it wasn't much of a puzzle. Hollis was home for not even two minutes before she was dodging what looked like a fancy arrow that flew through her window.
"Bloody hell! Can I not have a single moment's peace?" She asked exasperated, lifting herself off of her floor. Turning around, she saw none other than that weird archer from a while ago. "Oh, hey!" she waved. Looking around, she asked, "Sorry, is there another evil German in my house that I don't know about? Because I really hope that arrow wasn't for me, I thought we had a bond. Also how did you even get in? I'm about 90% sure I never dropped my wards."
"What are wards? And no there's no German here, I was sent to take you in," he replied gruffly.
Hollis immediately got stiff. "Sent? Sent by who?"
"By SHIELD. Listen kid, I don't want to hurt you, just come with me."
Relaxing at his answer, Hollis scoffed lightly. "It's funny that you think you could hurt me. And I really must have a talk with Hela. De- Miriam said it'd be a few years before anything mildly exciting happened but since I've gotten here, I've kicked a Germans guys arse, saved a woman and her kid from Merlin knows what, and now I'm getting harassed by a purple archer! I'm pretty sure that's not normal!" She sighed and rubbed the bridge of her nose, "Listen, I'm really not up for a fight right now, I'm nursing a huge headache, but I'm also not going anywhere with you."
Suddenly her headache flared. "Remember what I said Hollis, trust him."
Looking up she said, "Fine! Fine, I'll trust him Hela just don't do that again. It hurt!" Turning back to the archer she said, "Alright I've been convinced but I have a few conditions."
"SHIELD doesn't do conditions, kid," he said.
"Well then I'm not going, and I think we both know you can't make me."
Normally, Clint would take this as a challenge, but seeing as he had no idea what she was capable of and didn't want to lose a possible ally, he took the easy route. "Alright, fine. What are these "conditions" of yours?"
"The less people know about me the better. Only you, your handler and the Director may know that I even exist. Additionally, there will be no threats of any kind. I will share as much as I am able, there's no need to try to intimidate me. If you try to do anything to harm me, just know that I can quite literally kill you with a snap of my fingers, and while I would hate for it to come to that, I have not come this far only to have SHIELD kill me now. Understood?"
"That should be doable, let me check with the boss," he replied. "Coulson, you hear all that?"
Hollis watched as the archer furrowed his brows and nodded.
"Is that all kid?" he asked. At her nod he seemed to confirm something with his handler before looking back to her. "Alright then, let's go."
Wincing, Hollis walked over to him. "I'm truly sorry about this, I know it's rough the first time, but it'll be much faster, and I'd like to get to bed as soon as I can." With that she grabbed his arm quickly and twisted on the spot.
