Chapter 11

*********So in the last chapter Ana unknowingly meets Mrs. Elena Lincoln and ends up having a confusing encounter with her. Unbeknownst to them both they have someone in common that is dear to both of them.*************

"Hello again, Mr. Grey," Ana said, walking towards him. Christian waited at the door to welcome her in with a handshake. "How has your day been going so far, Ms. Steele?" Mr. Grey asked. "Really well. Thank you for asking," Ana replied. "I am sorry if our meeting interrupts time with your mom," Ana stated. Ana only said this to be nosy. She is very curious about the older women in black, and wanted to know her relationship with Mr. Grey. "She is not my mother, and this meeting is more important than her." Mr. Grey stated plainly. Ana got the impression that it was more to their relationship than Mr. Grey will divulge. It was none of Ana's business to begin, but as usual, she couldn't help herself.

Walking into Mr. Grey's homes, the sheer size of Grey's home, the floor to ceiling windows, and the coldness of the place still impressed Ana. Mr. Grey's place had no warmth. Ana also noted there was no sign that Ms. Williams lived here. There was nothing womanly in these places that she has seen so far. Maybe their bedroom told a different story. "Would you like something to drink?" Mr. Grey asked Ana. "I appreciate water," Ana replied.

"Coming right up", Christina said walking towards the kitchen Ana assumed. "Leila, won't be joining us for this meeting," Christian stated, walking towards Ana with a bottle of water. "oh she's not. Is everything okay, do we need to reschedule?" Ana asked with concern. "She just had a doctor's appointment that she has been waiting to get for a while, and no telling if she could get another one soon." Christian explained. "I know how that can be," Ana stated, understandably thinking about Ray and many doctor's appointments he will have to attend once he gets out of the hospital.

"Let's have a set I know you have more questions to ask, since I cut our last meeting short," Mr. Grey said, walking to the beautiful white couches that sat diagonally to the floor to ceiling windows. "Yes, let's sit. I have some questions," Ana said. Following Christian to the couch. "Before we start I wanted to apologize for the way I acted in our last meeting, we have been through many candidates, and the last few candidates have been true nut cases to say the least." Christian expressed. "Thank you for your apology, I greatly appreciate it." said Ana. Ana opened her water and took a drink from the bottles water Mr. Grey gave her moments ago. After setting the bottle down on the glass table that sat in-between them. Ana asked. "I wanted to know why exactly you are looking for a surrogate to begin with," getting straight to the point, so that there is no misunderstanding before the papers have been signed. "Me and Leila have been trying for a year to have a baby and nothing is working," Mr. Grey stated. "Leila really wants to have a child. That is all she has ever wanted was to be a mom" he explained to Ana. "I can understand that, I really can '' Ana sympathized. 'I was wondering how close the wedding was, to see if at any point I would be going to doctor's appointments alone because of wedding stuff or the honeymoon, or were you guys waiting until after the baby is born?' Ana asked. Trying to get a time frame or idea of the status of their relationship. Mr. Grey never got the chance to answer the question, because Ms. William rushed into the room. 'Did I miss her' Ms. Williams asked, a little flustered. "No, sweetheart she is still here" Mr. Grey said, standing from the couch walking towards Ms. Williams kissed her on the cheek while taking her jacket from her." Oh, good, I'm so sorry Ana. I just couldn't miss this appointment. Leila said in a way of explanation." "It is fine. Mr. Grey has been keeping things going" Ana said. "He wasn't rude to you, was he?" Leila whispered while she gave Ana a hug. "Perfect, gentleman, honestly, "Ana stated. "Perfect," Ms. Williams said, feeling at ease. "How about I go get the paperwork and we can move on in the process?" Christian said, walking towards his office.
