Hello loves! Welcome back! Let's jump right in it this morning!
Thank you to Frannie and Dani!
Day 14: March 26, 2020
Bella
18:39 PDT
Los Angeles, California
"Are you fucking serious?"
It's the fifth time he's asked me that this hour alone. I roll my eyes. "If you're not going to take my life ambitious seriously," I sniff.
He rolls his eyes. "Bella, I thought your life ambition would fall more toward see the Grand Canyon or something. Not prove that Tasmanian Tigers aren't extinct."
I glare at him. "What, so my life ambition isn't good enough for you?"
He tugs on his hair. "Tasmania is tiny," he stresses. "Don't you think they would have noticed any tigers walking around?"
I huff.
"Tasmanians are good at keeping secrets." I point out. He looks like he wants to strangle me. It's actually pretty hot.
"In-fucking-credible," he mutters. I don't think he means it in a good way. I smack his leg.
"You seriously think seeing a crack in the earth is more impressive than proving the government wrong by proving something didn't go extinct?" I demand.
"Bella, I don't even fucking know where to start with that sentence." He's tugging on his hair with both fists. It's wild around his head, and it makes me want to kiss him. Is it too soon to jump him again? It's been hours since we've had sex. That's long enough to wait, right?
"Fine, then what's your life ambition?" I ask, crossing my arms over my chest stubbornly. His eyes drop to my tits and then my pussy very quickly before moving across the room to stare aimlessly. He can't stop checking me out. I love it. To be fair, I can't stop checking him out either.
"It's not to prove someone wrong," he mutters. I roll my eyes so hard it almost hurts. When I look back at him, he's looking at my face again and smiling. "I want to inspire the next generation to care about history," he says softly.
I stare at him. It's so fucking noble it's almost annoying. "Is that all?" I ask dryly. It's his turn to roll his eyes.
"Yeah, right," He mutters, and I realize too late I might have disappointed him with my response. I frown and unfold my legs, moving over the bed and climbing into his lap. He looks up at me in surprise as I wrap my legs around his waist. His legs are folded under me, and I can't help but notice how well we fit together like this.
My hands land on his sternum, tapping against his strong chest. "It's so noble it's annoying," I whisper. The corners of his mouth pull slightly, and I give him a sheepish grin. "And I'm an asshole who can't imagine living so nobly."
His hands come up around me, landing on the top of my ass, right where I was hoping they would.
He squeezes gently. "The world needs people to constantly question what we take for granted. Without that, some of the most significant scientific discoveries would have never been made," he says softly. It's a surprisingly kind thing to say, and I don't know what to do with the sweet words. It warms me but also makes me pretty uncomfortable.
"Yeah, well," I fumble. I can see his lips quirking up into a smile, and I huff. "You're only saying that because you know I'm right."
Thankfully, he laughs, and just like that, we move past the intensity of the moment. I'm relieved. He's fun, but there's no point in getting intense. Not this fast anyway.
"Tell me about your tattoo," I whisper, my fingers trailing over his side. He smiles slightly.
"It's a compass," he murmurs. "Viking inspired, though the authenticity of it is questionable," he chuckles. "It's meant to guide me to my destiny."
My eyes meet his, and I feel warm and anxious in his gaze. "That's an awful lot of pressure to put on some ink," I murmur. He grins.
"Maybe I'll get another piece, something that delivers a simpler message."
I grin and whip my shirt off so fast, it takes him by surprise. I'm naked in his lap, and he absolutely notices. "Like this one?" I ask, pointing to the tattoo between my breasts. Edward laughs, and he can't help but lean down and kiss it. My hands wrap around his neck and head, holding him to me.
"Exactly," he murmurs against my skin.
These two kids are getting to know one another in between all the physical. They are such a hoot (and by the way, Bella's goal is one of my own. I'm absolutely convinced those Tasmanian Tigers are still out there!)
What do you think of the kids ambitions? Care to share your own?
See you loves tomorrow!
