Over the gloomy night, the great academy that is named Beacon now lies in ruins as the massive Grimm dragon remains on the once beautiful tower. Ruby slept soundly in bed as the birds chirped outside, the comfort of her bed and the gentle chimes of bells rung from a distance that woke her from her slumber. Opening her eyes slowly until she sat straight up.
"Dad." She mumbled.
"Ruby!." Tai said as he quickly jumped out of the wooden chair walked over to her bed, embracing her daughter. "Oh sweetheart. I'm so glad your awake."
"What happened, how did I get back home?" She said as she hugged her father.
"Your Uncle Qrow and some other Huntsman found you and Weiss. He brought you and your sister back home." Tai said as he released her from his embrace.
"Ruby!" Said another voice.
Ruby looked to see Blake run to the opposite end of her bed and hugging her tightly.
"I'm so happy to see you're okay."
"Blake!" Ruby said as she hugged her teammate back. "Why are you here...wait...Yang! Is she alright!"
Blakes expression of joy faded as she looked over at Tai who also had a look of concern.
"Uhh...She's...Yangs fine, she's gonna need some time to..." Tai placed his hand over his face as she began to choke up.
"She just need time to get use to some things, she's strong and she'll recover." Blake said as Tai moved his hand wiping away his tears and nodded.
"What about the school, did they clear out the Grimm? What about Vale?" Ruby said as blake held her hand.
"Vale is under control and the Teachers and Hunstmen are handling it." Tai said.
"And that thing didn't die." Blake spoke.
"What? What do you mean didn't die."
"I don't know what you did Ruby but it's frozen and it's attracting more Grimm to the school." Ruby looked at Blake with a blank stare.
"I did what?"
"Nevermind...it's a mess right now.."
Ruby looked down at her blanket as a sudden flash of her memory of that night flashed back in her head.
"Everything's a mess" said a Gruff voice
All three looked to the door as they saw Qrow drinking his from his flask. Tai huffed at him as the last drop of whiskey touched his lips.
"You two mind if I can talk to her alone?" He said as he walked over.
"I'm gonna head back to see how Yang's doing." Blake said.
Blake walked out of the room while had a stern look at Qrow.
"What I can't stay here?" Tai spoke.
"Tai...please." He said while putting his flask away.
Standing up out of bed as he sighed and giving Ruby a kiss on her head. Walking past Qrow he looks back before he walks out the room.
"I'll go make us some tea...I'm glad you're okay." He said as he left the room.
"What happened that night Uncle?" Ruby said
Qrow pulled the wooden chair Tai was sitting in closer to the bed as he sat down.
"What do you wanna know pipsqueak?" He said leaning back into the chair.
"What was Blake talking about when she said that I did something to that Dragon-thing..." Her eyes widen. "Wait...WEISS! Is she..."
"She's fine, Weiss is at the hospital with Pyrrha and her teammates.
Ruby looked down at her hands as they clenched her blanket tight, her eye's watered up and teardrops began to drip down on her blanket.
Glynda paced back and forth while Pyrrha laid in bed, bruises and small cuts covered her face. Hearing a groan from the wounded Spartan the huntress looked to see Pyrrha opening her eyes.
"Ms. Nikos, good to see you're finally awake." The blonde Huntress said.
"Where am..." She gasped as her eyes jolted with fear. "JAUNE!" Quickly attempting to move she hissed while holding her left arm.
"Please Pyrrha, you need to rest. You've been though a lot." Glynda said as she walked over placing her hand on Pyrrha.
"Is Jaune okay, I need to know that he's okay?" Pyrrha pleaded.
Her eyes watered up as she attempted her best to get out of bed, Glynda looked at the girl with sorrow in her eyes.
"Pyrrha...what do you remember from that night?" She spoke softly as a nurse walked in.
******The Night at the Tower******
Weeping on his knees he bawled as he looked at the tower.
"Why...Why am I so weak! Dammit Pyrrha..." He said to himself.
Hearing the deafening roar of the Wyvern as it's body crashed into the tower, Jaunes eyes widen. Seeing the debris from the glowing green tower fade to black. "Pyrrha..." quickly rising back up to his feet, he started to run back towards the school.
"No...I'm not going to stand by while she tries...I know...I know I was born for this, I was born to do something more!" Jaune yelled as he stopped. "Rgh! I won't make it on foot... If only I was Faunus with wing..." He stopped noticing his surroundings, pieces of Atlassian Knights laid on the ground where others were riddled with holes. Bullet holes trailed along the side of the building.
"Wha...what did this?" He mumbled while trying to catch his breath.
Seeing a Beacon locker, his brain sparked an idea. Running over to see the conditions also to hope that the thrusters are still operational even though he doesn't have a single clue about the mechanics on the lockers except that they hold weapons and they have thrusters on the bottom.
"Please work...Please" Jaune said softly.
Closing his eyes he could feel her the soft touch of her lips, her hands on his cheeks, his fingertips touching her smooth armor. Opening his eyes again as he pries a small panel off the side and can see a couple wires that have been cut.
"Okay, looks like it's just a simple patch up...I hope." He said as he began attemping to reactivate the busted locker.
Going over her limit, Pyrrha fired Miló at the Cinder, only to slice away every shot with her glass blade. Smirking back at her as she created another blade. Shifting her rifle back to its blade form, she held her free hand out as her aura glowed around her forearm, Akoúo̱ blew out from under a pile of rubble and back to Pyrrha's hand.
"Hmpf...you think your sword and shield can really stop me girl..." Cinder said, her eyes ignited in fire and the golden outlines on her maroon dress glowed.
"No...but I just wanted to distract you.." Pyrrha smiled as her hands glowed, using her polarity.
Looking above her field of view she saw six steel cogs floating above her. throwing her fist down in one quick thrust, unable to react in time Cinder quickly disappeared under the metal gears. The cocreate floor cracked and rumbled, suddenly giving out she watched as the steel gears fell and became swallowed by darkness. Pyrrha tried to catch her breath, knowing that will return and her futile attempt would only fuel her rage to kill her even more.
****This Story is still a work in progress. I'll make chapter two, I hope you enjoyed as much as I had creating this.****
