Author Note Question is my rate of updating to much and if so how often would be good to post updates.

I'm just curious

I don't like it when authors take months to update story's I like so what I do is have about six or so chapters already written so that I can continuously update at a good rate while continuing to write

Chapter 42

December 20th 1992

Greengrass Manor

That afternoon Maria had gone to settle where she would be staying during her time in England and Harry,Daphne and her family where by the Floo Entrance waiting for the arrival of Gabrielle Nussa Adeline Greengrass's friend.

Soon a figure came through the Floo and stepped into the entryway.

"Ah Gabby, "Adeline said, hugging the woman "This is my daughter Daphne and this is her fiancé Harry "She said, pulling Daphne forward.

Gabby's eyes lit up when she saw Daphne.

"This is the girl I am designing the dress for?" She asked.

"Yes." Adeline replied.

"You are absolutely stunning"Gabby told Daphne "I promise that you will look absolutely perfect in the dress I will make for you. I already have a design in mind. I just have to get the color and themes learned and my dear Daphne, you will have the dress of all women's dreams. Everyone will be jealous of you as you walk down the aisle in my magnificent outfit."

"We're talking about using ivory and pearls," Adeline told Gabby. The woman nodded.

"I already have floral and bouquet arrangements forming in my mind!" Gabby said. "How does this sound? Your dress will be adorned in pearls! And your hair will make for a dramatic up do!"

"Sounds nice"Daphne said and then looked at Harry

.He reached out and laced his fingers through hers and gave her a squeeze

They were in this together.

SCENE CHANGE
After a long session on Firebending with Master Dao, Harry arrived back at the Greengrass place.

He knew Cyrus was at work but he wondered where everyone else was.

Astoria was probably at a friend's house.

Looking for his fiance he eventually found them in the living room

He heard Marias Russian accent loud and clear before he got to the door.

She was most likely talking to Adeline.

Harry knocked gently on the door but after a few moments there came no reply. So, he pushed the door open to see absolute chaos.

He saw a sewing machine was on a table with spools and spools of thread splayed everywhere and fabric was hanging off the backs of chairs and couches.

Wait a sewing machine.

Well Adeline had mentioned something about her friends being active in the Muggle World as well.

That probably explained it.

He saw Maria was busy sketching on paper at a table. From where Harry was, he could see she was sketching floral arrangements with pearl adornments wrapping around the stems.

Adeline was sitting at a table watching as Daphne was sitting down as Gabby raced around and measured her.

Daphne had long white sheets wrapped around her, pinned close to her body. It looked as if Gabby was making a rough sketch of the dress she wanted to make for Daphne.

"Oh, Harry," Daphne's eyes lit up instantly when she saw Harry in the doorway.

"Hello, Mr. Potter" Gabby looked over at him from where she was pushing another pin into Daphne's draped fabric, "I was just measuring Daphne. I will need your measurements next for your tuxedo."

Harry raised his eyebrows as he looked at the sewing machine

"Is this yours?"He asked Gabby.

"Yes indeed"She said "Ive managed to get this one to work around magic and it works better than any of the Muggle ones do"She said scoffing "Its such a shame wizards dont look at what Muggles can offer us that could make all of our lifes so much better when Magic is included".

"Daphne, you're finished now!" Gabby told her, slowly pulling the fabric off Daphne "Mr. Potter, please step up."

"You know, you can just call me Harry like everyone else." He told her. Gabby grabbed his wrist and practically forced him to wear Daphne was sitting.

Daphne shot him a smile as she settled onto a nearby couch.

Gabby pulled some fabric over his shoulders before starting to work on him.

"Hold still!" Gabby said as she accidentally poked Harry with a needle. He flinched at the sudden little prick. "It was an accident! Stop wiggling!" Gabby huffed, jabbing another pin in.

"Is getting married this painful?" Harry joked, looking over at Daphne. She replied with a smile.

"Oh,no" Adeline said "Getting married shouldn't be painful at all when it's the right person. As far as wearing the most perfect garments in the world... yes, that's painful just as it was for me and Cyrus" Harry almost laughed, but held in the body wracking movement as Gabby stuck another pin in.

He struggled not to flinch.

SCENE CHANGE

Finally after much work planning for the wedding Daphne and Harry were able to get some time to themselves.
"You know"Daphne said "Having a wedding planner and someone to handle outfits is actually quite nice, you can just tell them what you want and they will make it all happen".

"You mean that all doesnt bother you? ''Harry asked.

"The actual process of it at times is a little annoying"Daphne admitted "But I appreciate it nonetheless".

"I'm glad we were able to get some time together"Harry said and since they were going outside he put on his trench coat.

Daphne put on her matching fur coat.

They walked to the entryway passing Cyrus along the way who was reading the paper who was scowling.

"Everything good,"Harry called out.

Cyrus looked up and nodded "Nothing you need to worry about"He said "Enjoy your walk and make sure you're home in time for lunch".

They both nodded and headed out.

It was nice and chilly outside but overall not too bad.

As they walked they tried to steer away their conversation from the Wedding since as Daphne said her parents would be handling that plenty over the next eight months.

Harry then bounced off ideas with her on his ideas for the Archmagi in the new year.

He had to say that he was really enjoying teaching magic to the members and he was hoping that helped them pass their exams.

It was important that he was able to continue finding good spells to teach the members of the Archmagi.

Which shouldnt be so hard.

He had learned many different spells and charms from Master Dao and Cyrus that he could teach.

Thank god for Daphne and Edmunds help or else this would be a lot more difficult to manage on his own.

SCENE CHANGE
Before they knew it they were back at Hogwarts where homework piled up fast and alongside the multiple Archmagi Training Sessions that they where managing to fit in the time soon started to seem to pass alarmingly fast and before Harry knew it they were in May

They had managed to work in seventeen sessions in January, Fifteen in February, Sixteen in March, and Eighteen in April.

Sixty Six Sessions in Four Months.

Harry was impressed with everyone's stamina to continue working and learning new spells.

They had learned a lot.

But now they had to slow down a bit.

As they were constantly reminded by the teachers the OWLs were drawing

ever nearer.

All the fifth-years were suffering from stress to some degree because of them, even Harry and Daphne.

That's also what made their sessions all the more enjoyable for everyone.

During the hours the group spent in the Room of Requirement, Harry thoroughly enjoyed himself feeling pride when he looked around at the Archmagi members and saw how far they had come over the course of this year and how much they had learned

The upcoming examinations where quite present though and as though to underline the importance of their upcoming examinations, a batch of pamphlets, leaflets and notices concerning various wizarding careers appeared on the tables in the Slytherin Common Room along with a notice which read:

All fifth-years are required to attend a short meeting with their Head of House during the first

week of the summer term to discuss their future careers. Times of individual appointments are listed below.

Harry looked down the list and found that he was expected in Professor Snape's office at

half past two on Monday, which would mean missing most of Charms.

Daphne had her appointment on Wendsday and would be missing Transfiguration

The fifth years spent a considerable part of the final weekend of the Easter break reading all the considerable career information that had been left there for their perusal.

Harry spent a lot of time thinking about what he wanted to do after school.

He was not really sure if he wanted to take a job in the Ministry which seemed to be something quite common among the job listings.

Their didint seem to be a lot of options if you did not want to work for the Ministry or Gringots.

Maybe he could try something in the Muggle World.

After all, Master Dao had left the Magical World in order to use his skills to make a name for himself in the Muggle World.

Maybe Harry could do something of the same.

It was definitely worth some thought.

SCENE CHANGE

Before Harry knew it the castle grounds were gleaming in the sunlight as though freshly painted; the cloudless sky smiled at itself in the smoothly sparkling lake; the satin green lawns rippled occasionally in a gentle breeze and June had arrived, but to the fifth-years this meant only one thing: their OWLs were upon them at last.

Their teachers were no longer setting them homework; lessons were devoted to revising those topics the teachers thought most likely to come up in the exams.

And then a month and a half after the exams Harry and Daphne would be getting married.

Harry also noticed that there was a flourishing black-market trade in aids to concentration, mental agility and wakefulness springing up among the fifth- and seventh-years.

Daphne had talked quite a bit about this one girl she kept hearing trying to sell questionable materials

Harry did not even want to know what was in those.

They received their examination timetables and details of the procedure for OWLs during their next Potions lesson.

"As you can see," Professor Snape told the class as they copied down the dates and times

of their exams from the blackboard, "your OWLs are spread over two successive weeks. You

will sit the theory exams in the mornings and the practice in the afternoons. Your practical

Astronomy examination will, of course, take place at night.

"Now, I must warn you that the most stringent anti-cheating charms have been applied to your examination papers. Auto-Answer Quills are banned from the examination hall, as are

Remembralls, Detachable Cribbing Cuffs and Self-Correcting Ink. Every year, I am afraid to say, seems to harbor at least one student who thinks that he or she can get around the Wizarding Examinations Authority's rules. I can only hope that there is nobody in Slytherin that believes this".

"Please, Professor," said Daphne, her hand in the air, "when will we find out our results?"

"An owl will be sent to you some time in July" said Professor Snape.

Their first examination, Theory of Charms, was scheduled for Monday morning.

Everyone was reviewing, even Harry and Daphne.

That Sunday in the Common Room Daphne was reading her last two years' worth of Charms notes and Harry was listening to Edmund recite the definition of a Substantive Charm while he checked it against The Standard Book of Spells, Grade 5;

Dinner that night was very and Daphne did not talk much, but ate a lot having studied hard all day.

They wanted to do well on their exams and wanted to make sure they remembered all their stuff.

Everyone then listened as the Frog Choir sang a bit during the meal to relieve peoples stress level a little bit.

Double, double, toil and trouble;

Fire burn and cauldron bubble.

Double, double, toil and trouble;

Something wicked this way comes!

Eye of newt and toe of frog,

Wool of bat and tongue of dog,

Adder's fork and blind-worm's sting,

Lizard's leg and howlet's wing.

Double, double, toil and trouble;

Fire burn and cauldron bubble.

Double, double, toil and trouble;

Something wicked this way comes!

In the cauldron boil and bake,

Fillet of a fenny snake,

Scale of dragon, tooth of wolf,

Witches' mummy, maw and gulf.

Double, double, toil and trouble;

Fire burn and cauldron bubble.

Double, double, toil and trouble;

Fire burn and cauldron bubble.

Double, double, toil and trouble;

Fire burn and cauldron bubble.

Something wicked this way comes!

Harry and Daphne clapped along with everyone else.

If only wizards had a wider variety of songs though.

Authors Note I really wish there was actually wizarding folk music out there
