-Shelby pov-
It has been a long ass drive to L.A. thanks to Judy. She forgot to purchase the plane tickets. I can not pin everything on her though. The decision to move up nationals was last minute.
The kids did not even get a chance to check out the area! We are planning on letting them stay for a little while. It will be helpful if we win and even more if we lose. They could use some time to relax.
They have been working so hard to be great. Jessie, Dani, and Cass have been trying to find ways to keep the club open. The school somehow got a sponsor block on us so that is out the window.
I have had to go to my therapist so much this week. I feel like she has a imprint in the chair of me. It was just too stressful. I am trying my best not to over stress.
"Shelby you look pale" I look over at a worried looking Holly "Why not sleep for the little time you have left? The kids will get on the stage fine!"
"No" I stand up and feel the world shake "I am just gonna get a water"
"Ok" Holly stands up "I will come with you"
"No!" I can see her tense and I sigh "Sorry..just stay here and wait for the kids ok?"
"Ok" Holly sits back down slowly "Be careful alright?"
I nod and make my way out of the room "You look bad" I glare at Jessie who puts his hands up "Do not shoot! I am just telling the truth!"
"Yeah I have not got much sleep" my stomach growls and I sigh "Or ate much"
"Why not go to the vending machine?" He pulls out his wallet "I can pay"
"I am fine" I start to walk over and feel myself sway "Help me"
Everything goes black around me as I fall.
-Judy pov-
I finally have the kids all gathered up. We are on our way to the green room. We are on next and they need to be focused. My focus is gone when I see paramedics around someone.
"I thought free drinks were later" I glare at Maribel who shrugs "I gotta try being funny sometime"
"Very funny" I point to the green room "Make sure they are all ready ok? I will see what this is about"
"Whatever" She gives me a quick kiss "Do not do anything stupid ok? I know you too well"
I smile and give her a nod. I walk over and start feeling worried when I see our three friends. I feel more worried when I see the look on Cassandras face. My heart breaks when I see who is being helped.
"Oh no" I run but get stopped by the three "Let me go! That is my fiancé! LET ME GO!"
"She is getting help Judy" I look at Jessie who has fear and sadness in his eyes "You need to get those kids ready ok? Do not let this be for nothing"
"It will be for nothing if she is not there" I look at my fiancé as she is getting loaded onto a stretcher "How do I go back?"
"Take some time to calm down and then go" Dani walks over to the paramedics "I will go with her ok? I will keep you updated"
"Alright" I take a deep breath and nod "I will calm down and be there when I can"
"Good" Jessie gives a small and sad smile "Lets get you to the group"
"Yeah" I take my breaths as we get to the green room. The door opens as we reach it "Are we on?"
"Yeah!" Blaine looks around "Where is Shelby?"
"She and something important" Cass gives a fake smile "She wants you to break a leg though! Go win that trophy!"
The kids yell and run to the stage area. I look in the room to see our family looking at me. I get two squeezes on my shoulders as the tears come. Rachel is the first one to break down.

I know Shelby is not here right now. We just have to keep the show going. We have to do this for her. Kitty takes a deep breath as we push her out to the stage.

Then we are met with reality.
"She is not here is she?" Judy shakes her head and I step forward "What happened?"
"She wanted this to be perfect for you all" Judy wipes some tears away "Shelby was dehydrated, exhausted, and was starving...she had a heart attack and was taken out before you guys were called"
"How many need to be here to accept the trophy?" We give Sam a confused look "How many?"
"Rules state a teacher and enough club members" Jessie is confused as well "Why?"
"I have a plan" Sam smiles "But we need to act now"
