Magnolia's annual Harvest Festival was around the corner and with the Festival came the Miss Fairy Tail Contest. It was Fairy Tail's first time hosting the contest again since Laxus and the Thunder God Tribe's interference nearly nine years ago. And Lucy Heartfilia once again needed money to pay her rent.
As she walked down the street towards the guild with Plue in her arms, Lucy thought about what she could do in the contest this year to make sure she won the prize money. Last time the other girls modeled in their bikinis—well except Mira. Lucy wasn't sure what the hell Mira was doing that day. Turning her head into Happy's didn't exactly scream beauty queen. Lucy's own cheerleading routine didn't work out very well, though that wasn't really her fault, Evergreen had interrupted her performance. But what could she do this year to make sure she would wow the judges and the crowd?
"What do you think I should do Plue?" Lucy held him above her head as she asked.
"Pun pun pun!" He wiggled his arms.
"You think I should dance?" Lucy tilted her head.
"Pun punn," Plue replied, nodding his head furiously.
Bringing Plue back to her chest, Lucy thought about his suggestion. "You know what, Plue? Maybe I should dance. What should I do? Ballet? I don't really think that will wow the judges. Everyone in the guild is a pervert, they wouldn't go for something elegant."
"Puunnn," Plue said.
"I know Plue, I know. I'm going to have to use my sex appeal."
A/N: Once upon a time, I fell into the rabbit hole of Lalu fanfiction (along with Bixlu, Colu, and pretty much anything that isn't Nalu ~oops), but then I ran out of things to read. So I decided to try a hand at writing my own stories. First story is in the next chapter and the rest will follow. Hopefully I can update once a week, but I'm in college and it be stressful sometimes. All I can promise is to update semi-regularly.
