"You need to hurry and leave!" Mandalay shouted at Izuku. Izuku shook his head and called back to her.
"You don't know where Kota is right? I know where he is, and I can get back to Mr. Aizawa quick." The hero looked conflicted for a moment but given that there were two villains and they had already gotten Pixie-Bob the options were limited. She nodded and Izuku took off into the forest down the path he had taken. It wasn't too far from the camp so he could have the kid safe in an instant. As Izuku came across the clearing, he saw an overgrown arm swing out at the kid. Izuku activated his own quirk, sliding past the incoming attack and scooping the kid up flying past and landing behind the villain's large frame. As he took note of the situation, Izuku also noticed that there was not only fire but a purple gas going through the forest.
"Oh, that green hair is recognizable! You're one of the targets from the pictures. Shigaraki said to send a signal so we could deliver Nomu to restrain you, but that just makes me more excited to play." The villain burst forward with tremendous speed and Izuku could feel Kota tighten his grip on him. Izuku easily evaded the villains attack. The villain rushed again this time making a point of aiming for Kota. Izuku flew over him and landed softly on the ground making a note not to move too much. "You're definitely a step above most normal heroes. If that kid's parents had been like you maybe they wouldn't have died so pathetically." The villain made a show of taking off his cloak and inflating his body with muscles. "Now before you die, where is Bakugo?"
"Wouldn't tell you even if I knew," Izuku called back as he dodged the next rush. The villain was significantly faster, but not enough to make it difficult. Izuku did note that his flames were running low though after the difficult day of training. 'About 10% left,' Izuku thought to himself. If the fight got drawn on too long, he'd probably lose. Calmly, he sat Kota down. "Go ahead and run back to the camp. I'll stop this guy here and meet you there later."
"You shouldn't shout out you plans in front of the enemy!" Muscular ran forward when an unfamiliar sensation met him. It was pain on the side of his face from a kick. It redirected him towards the mountain, and he crashed into in violently. Izuku landed and lashed out with fire from his right hand. The intense heat radiating over the whole mountain. Suddenly the villain's form began to move through the flames. At first, it was slowly and then in an instant he reached Izuku and grabbed his hand crushing it. "Hahaha you're probably someone confident in your abilities because you haven't lost in a long time. This just shows that you've been fighting weaklings all this time!"
From Izuku's perspective, the villain was practically frothing at the mouth with glee. He could tell that his right hand was useless at this point. Suddenly, his legs left the ground and he crashed into the side of the mountain. The force generated ripped Izuku's sleeve off and fractured another bone in his arm. Kota cried out when he hit, but Izuku couldn't see him over the blood filling his vision. A dap of water washed it away. Looking in that direction, he could see that Kota had attempted to use his quirk to save him. Muscular excitedly turned his head to him, "Don't worry I'll kill you soon too, but this guy comes first, okay." Izuku was disgusted by the villains words and when the villain turned back to him, he was met with flaming arms clapping both sides of his head, disorienting him.
Izuku jumped away from the villain and stood by Kota. "You really are a piece of shit. How many people did you bring and where are they?" The villain recovered and responded in a booming voice.
"Don't know, don't care, I'm just here to kill you!" His advance was stopped by many flaming arms just in front of his targets.
"That's fine." Izuku unleashed his quirk beating away at the hideous form of his opponent. Muscular was confused by the amount of force hitting him from the flaming arms when suddenly he was forced to his knees and a hand reached out and grabbed his face. He was squeezed tightly. "You must be pretty confident in your fighting skills, it's too bad you're just weak." Izuku said in a taunting tone. 'Iai Chop, Form Five: Sunset'. The attack knocked Muscular unconscious and sent him careening into the mountain behind him. It also left a flaming slice in part of the mountain. Kota was in awe watching Izuku. Izuku walked over to him and kneeled down. "Are you okay?" Kota could tell that Izuku had sustained damage in the fight, but in his eyes Izuku was invincible. 'I would've preferred to bring him to Mr. Aizawa and let him deal with him, but I don't know the positions of the class. If I had been a moment off, he might've attacked another group.' Izuku thought to himself. He grabbed Kota with his good arm and ran into the forest towards the camp.
As Izuku made his way towards the camp, he ran into Mr. Aizawa in the middle of the forest. Both paused as they had been preparing to attack if they had found a villain. Aizawa looked over Izuku once and sighed. "You used your quirk, didn't you?" Izuku nodded and Aizawa looked more tired.
"They're after the students right now. Bakugo specifically. They're using a combination of fire and gas to keep the confusion up. They aren't weak either." Izuku offered his report as he showed Aizawa his right hand. Aizawa let the information process in his mind. Even if he was prematurely aging because of this kid, for a fight between one villain to end in serious injury was concerning. "I'll take Kota, you go back to Mandalay and tell her these instructions specifically. I'm authorizing all of you to use your quirks to defend yourselves until this is over. Understand? Izuku made an affirmative sound and flew off towards the last place he remembered seeing them.
As he flew in, the reptile villain was making a move to finish Mandalay. Izuku caught his weapon wish his left before lashing out with a kick and sending the villain flying. He then melted the weapon in an instant. The other villain took notice of him. "Aizawa told me to relay a message. Send it to all the kids in the camp. Use your quirks to defend yourselves until the incident is resolved. On another note, Aizawa also has Kota now." A flash of relief came over the heroes face before she relayed the message to the rest of the class. "Also relay another message one of the villain's targets is definitely Bakugo."
With his piece given, Izuku took note of the two villains then took off into towards the forest leaving them to the heroes. The larger of the two reacted to Izuku immediately. "He's one of the targets. We have to make sure we stop him immediately." The villain reached into their pocket and pulled out a communication device before a knife slide past their head.
"Don't Big Sis Magne. That is a hero acknowledged by Stain. I can't allow you to interfere with him." Izuku continued to run into the forest, not sparing a moment to interact with the two. Immediately after he ran into the forest, the two were knocked out by the PussyCats that were present. Izuku traversed the terrain as quickly as he could. Both villains had mentioned something about him specifically. This meant that he needed to make sure he didn't stand out too much and get ambushed. Continuing on, Izuku saw a bloody hand and as then felt immediate killing intent behind him. He was dragged into the bushes.
"Midoriya, it's me Shoji." One of the limbs around him spoke. Izuku looked at Shoji and immediately spotted the injury. He gave him a concerned look at Shoji took the opportunity to explain the situation. "Tokoyami's quirk went out of control. Dark Shadow is raging here in the darkness. It's a miracle you were the one I ran into." Izuku understood immediately what his next task was and sprung out of the brush. Dark Shadow had only a moment to react before it was tamed by a small flame from Izuku's hand. When Tokoyami emerged from Dark Shadow, he looked shaken.
"Tokoyami are you alright?" Izuku asked concerned for his classmates safety. Tokoyami numbly nodded.
"Dark Shadow is a creature that normally becomes more unruly at night. Given the swell of emotions finding out my classmates were getting targeted, it took the chance to overwhelm me. I'm sorry Shoji I-"Shoji put a hand out to interrupt Tokoyami. Before he could speak though, several sounds rang out at once. The sound of crushing ice and explosions in front and a gunshot in the distance.
"We've got to make a move right now. Bakugo and Todoroki should be just ahead of us. We'll secure them and take them to the pros and grab anyone else we can find along the way using Shoji's quirk to search." Izuku inspired confidence in the two as they took off running in the direction. Izuku let his mind wandered as he allowed his quirk to search for the source of the gunshot. By the time it rang out three more times, he had a range of its position and cut off its access to fire. 'Sorry. This is all I can do to help right now!' Izuku thought to himself as his group continued to run.
A series of broken ice began to guide their path and they found Todoroki and Bakugo defending a kid from Class B as a villain attacked them with what appeared to be teeth. Neither could get close to the villain given the relentlessness of the attack. Before they could even be noticed, Izuku had already gotten the drop on the villain. 'Form Seven: Sun Wheel' The attack knocked the villain down and before he could recover, Izuku flew down and knocked him out swiftly with an axe kick. Bakugo and Todoroki were astounded by the difference in strength, but Izuku was already planning their next move.
"Bakugo you're the target here. So, we'll move in a group. My right hand can't respond as swiftly so I'll take the front encounter with villains. Shoji, you're behind me and you'll guide us to classmates and safety. Todoroki, you're in the middle you'll have the best responsiveness so protect our middle. Tokoyami, protect our backs with Dark Shadow. In this darkness,' you're one of the strongest here and we'll have our backs covered. Bakugo go between Tokoyami and Todoroki." Everyone but Bakugo instinctively fell into position as soon as they heard theirs.
"Why the hell should I listen to you, huh!?" Bakugo screamed out indignantly. Izuku rolled his eyes.
"The longer you're out here the longer everyone has to fight. Once we secure everyone it's our victory. With this group, we're marching straight to victory. You can agree with that, right?" Bakugo grumbled but fell in line. "So, Shoji do you hear anyone nearby?" Shoji listened in all directions for a moment before pointing to the left."
"It sounds like there's fighting up ahead of us," Izuku nodded, and the group headed out. As they approached the clearing, they could clearly see a blonde girl being restrained by Uraraka. Suddenly, Izuku turned swiftly and slashed two trees.
"Shit! One of them got us!" Turning the group could see that Bakugo and Tokoyami had disappeared from the back. The sudden noise from Izuku gave the girl villain a chance to escape Uraraka. As they all ran out, they noticed a masked villain sitting atop the trees.
"You've got good instincts kid, but it looks like it's our win." Todoroki responded by sending a wave of ice to capture the villain, but he escaped it quickly landing a bit farther away from them. The villain flashed two orbs at them before taking off into the distance. Izuku prepared to pursue before he fell to one knee.
"Midoriya, are you ok?" Those present all sounded alarmed to see him tired and injured, but Izuku waved them off. Then Uraraka noticed something concerning.
"Midoriya, your eyes keep flashing green and then returning to normal. What's going on?" Izuku sighed and told them the truth.
"It's a sign that my quirk is at its limit. It flashes quicker the closer I get to zero. At this rate, I won't be able to pursue them and win. I only have a little bit left to give." Izuku racked his brain for a plan that wouldn't endanger them all when Todoroki offered some flames from his left arm.
"You can refuel by eating flames, right?" Izuku gratefully took some of the fire and the flashes lengthened.
"Uraraka, Asui launch us at them. We'll take them back and retreat." They seemed to have more to say, but they relented to the plan touching all three of them as Asui grabbed them with her tongue and flung them towards the retreating form of the villain. The villain was surprised to see the three and they all crash landed together. Together Todoroki, Izuku and Shoji faced off against the remaining villains.
Todoroki held off a villain in a mask while Izuku dodged the blonde girl from earlier. The girl's eyes were focused like a predator as she spoke to Izuku. "You're the one who fought Mr. Stain right, what did his blood look like!" Izuku kicked her away and jumped back putting space between the two as Todoroki did the same with an ice wall. Suddenly, Shoji called out to the pair.
"We're retreating!" Izuku and Todoroki didn't hesitate, joining up with Shoji and making a run to the forest. But the villains refused to pursue them. The villain that had taken Bakugo and Tokoyami undid his quirk revealing that what Shoji had taken was Todoroki's attack earlier. Izuku turned sharply and ran towards the man as he pulled two more objects out of his mouth. The other two following closely behind. As they closed in, Kurogiri's warp gate appeared releasing several Nomu.
"I believe we told you that Izuku Midoriya was to be left to these specially designed heat resistant Nomu." There were four in total which blocked Izuku's path forward. He was trapped between the creatures as the villains began to retreat into the portal. Suddenly a familiar beam of light fired knocking the two classmates from the villain's grasp. The miracle moment occurred and Izuku was thankful that Aoyama had been hiding there. The side of his eyes which had refilled not long after the sports festival ignited.
'Calidos Brachium: Barrage' Izuku swung his arms knocking each one of the Nomu high into the sky. 'I'll eliminate every single one of you at once.' Flying into the sky after them, Izuku flew directly between them before channeling his quirk. 'Heat Zone: Calidos Brachium: Purgatory.' The light filled the air and illuminated the entire campsite. Izuku looked around quickly noticing that all the Nomu had been reduced to nothing. He then changed his approach. He saw that Bakugo was being held by one of the villains and pushed himself downwards at immense speed. As he closed in, his vision began to tunnel on Bakugo and the villain. Because of this he didn't notice the black tendrils coming out of Kurogiri.
They stabbed Izuku in several spots and because of his speed he was run through by them. The tendrils then flung him into the trees behind him. As he looked up through his bloody vision, he could see that one tendril was flying in a chopping motion coming for his neck. Aoyama shot out another shot protecting Izuku. The perpetrator of the tendrils emerged from the shadows. "You might remember me from the USJ. But maybe not arrogant guys like you forget people all the time. And now victory belongs to the league of villains." As all of the villains retreated into the shadows, Izuku felt a frustration he hadn't felt in a long time. Suffering numerous injuries and total defeat by the league of villains, Izuku passed out against the tree the world around him fading into blackness.
