"Just come home…we'll figure everything out when you two come home," I explained. Edward and Angela were on their honeymoon and with just a few more days to spare, when I got a call from a frantic Edward, while on my way to take Bella to meet Esme, Alice, and Rosalie. He said that Angela hadn't gotten her period and that she was puking. She was already showing a small bump and he was out of his mind. I tried my best to soothe him.

"Get packed, stay calm, and I'll see you when you get here, okay?" I said softly. Bella's head was tilted in curiosity. I reached over and patted her head and she flushed, closing her eyes at the contact.

"I-Is everything a-alright?" She asked. I smiled warmly, careful not to put my "doctor" in it.

"It seems Angela and Edward have hit a little snag in their honeymoon and they need to come back earlier than expected," I explained.

"A-Are they o-okay? Did M-Master…" She became panicked and I shushed her gently.

"Easy…easy…they're okay." I reassured her.

Edward didn't sound okay…

"Let's not keep the others waiting," I said. I grabbed her hand and she squeezed. When we arrived, Alice and Rosalie quickly grabbed Bella and they went into the spa. I graced Esme's forehead with a soft kiss and quickly explained to her what Edward told me.

"That's impossible. Vampire's can't get pregnant and can't get anyone pregnant." She said.

"Not that we know of but we need to look up on some things so that we are prepared when they come home. Edward sounded scared over the phone." She nodded. She grabbed my hand and squeezed.

"There's going to be a baby?!" The three girls said excitedly. I waited until Jasper came back from class and Emmett came back from a construction site where he liked to pretend he was human. He also liked coming back dirty and being outside. Esme didn't like it as much because he tracked in mud. Since there was little to no sun in Forks, he was not at risk of exposure. Jasper looked indifferent and Emmett looked confused.

"Vampires can get women pregnant?" Jasper asked, frowning.

"We don't know if it's pregnancy. There are a variety of reasons in which a period doesn't come or why she can't keep anything down." I explained.

"I r-read s-stories about h-hybrid children before but M-Master had always s-said that t-they were s-stories," Bella said softly. Bella had started freely referring to Aro as Master, when Angela wasn't present. The others didn't like when she referred to him as Master but said nothing.

"Do you remember what they said?" She flushed and nodded.

"In t-the Balkans, t-they call t-them dhampirs. T-They are a h-hybrid between male v-vampires and m-mortal females. T-They are s-said to be in e-every right, a v-vampire with the e-exception of being a-able to f-fully exist in the human r-realm. T-They can eat h-human f-food b-but prefer blood." Bella explained. Alice gasped and we all looked at her.

"Maybe that's what you are Bella! You're a dhampir!" Alice said excited.

"She's not, she has all forty-six human chromosomes. I assume with dhampirs, they might have a different number, just like vampires and shape shifters." I explained, "…You almost had it…" I chuckled gently at Alice as she pouted. Bella giggled softly and patted Alice on the hand. "Every c-culture h-has different names but t-the concept is s-still the s-same…" Bella said. I nodded, taking in everything she said.

"Then why haven't you had any children?" Emmett blurted, looking at her curiously. She flushed and shrugged.

"I-I t-think it's a t-trade for b-being able to l-live f-forever…" Bella's cycle would worry a lot of doctors if they were to examine her. Esme said she never asked for many napkins, only once every nine months. She never complained of cramps and there was never the scent of old blood in the house as it was with Angela but Angela tended to stay far away when she had her monthly. I wondered because of the stress of constantly being taken over and over again by vampires that it completely became nonexistent. Also, Bella's body didn't age. She still looked like the sixteen year old girl I met over six hundred years ago. Her body was that of a vampire female, with the exception of a century or two when her body matured little by little. The changes were small, with her hips filling out or her growing taller. I chuckled. Bella was the oldest person in this house. Aro said she came from the era of Hadrian's Wall, her father was a Roman soldier who married a woman who came from the other side of the wall after another tribe slaughtered her family and other travelers. Aro, from gathering information from the vampires that brought her, it was the girl's mother that drew a group of nomadic vampires close to the wall. One vampire followed and blended in with the other soldiers, watching and waiting. He watched the woman marry and have Bella and watched Bella as she grew old enough to be taken because her scent was much better than her mother's. When the time was right, he and the others attacked the small settlement, killing Bella's parents and the vampire got greedy and ran off with Bella. He was killed and she was taken and then given to Aro after. I was never told the vampires' names just that they were all dead.

"…if you have nothing to offer to Aro, he either send you on your way or kills you after he's taken what he wants. Since neither vampire had a gift but a gift they brought, sending them away meant that Bella would have to go and so they were killed and Bella has been with the Volturi ever since…"

Eleazer's words echoed in my head. She's lived through everything and has seen the world during its darkest and brightest moments. All of it from the safety of the Volturi walls.

When Edward and Angela's plane landed, early the next evening, Angela quickly ran to Rosalie, her eyes full of tears. Edward was gritting his teeth and his eyes were black. I nodded for the boys to take him hunting as soon as we got back. I briefly wondered when the last time he fed. We quickly rushed to the cars with luggage and set off home. It gave enough time for Bella to talk to Aro or Caius and to collect herself afterwards. Her conversation with them always ended in tears and pleas for forgiveness. Her outburst from earlier was and would not be easily forgotten. When we arrived, she was still upstairs.

"Is Bella still here?" Angela asked, lighting up the first time since she landed. Esme smiled and nodded.

"She's upstairs," Esme asked. Angela rushed upstairs to her.

"Come on, buddy, let's get you fed," Emmett said, patting Edward on his back. He was tense, very tense…he looked angry, upset, confused, and..scared. Jasper tried his best to calm Edward without being to overbearing. His dark eyes eyes never left Angela as she ran upstairs to Bella.

"You look as if you've been crying," we heard Angela say to Bella. We heard a sniff and a small sad laugh.

"I-I just g-got into a-an argument w-with R-Renata…b-but w-what's this about y-you puking and n-not enjoying y-your honeymoon?" Bella asked. That's when Edward left with the Emmett and Jasper. The rest of us were left looking at one another worriedly.

Bella

"You're all we need Bella…" The soft voice of my mother echoed faintly in the back of my mind, awaken me. My eyes flew open and I sat up, taking in my surroundings. It was still dark and the house was quiet.

They must've gone hunting

Angela was curled next to me, her arms around her huge baby bump. She was skin and bones and once again there was a rift between the Cullens. Some opted for the baby to be destroyed and the others wanted the baby to live. Angela and Edward were constantly fighting and Carlisle tried to make Edward see reason and not stress her out further. Rosalie became somewhat of a bodyguard because Angela didn't trust Edward near her. I was stuck in the middle and was just a support system for Angela when she was overwhelmed. She said that she liked when I rubbed her stomach and apparently so did the baby because it kicked less when I touched her stomach. She couldn't keep food down and she was practically dying before our very eyes.

I subconsciously touched my own stomach and thanked the heavens for whatever luck that prevented me from becoming pregnant. I soothed some strands of hair back from Angela's forehead and she moaned uncomfortably but did not wake. I told nothing to Master Aro of Angela being pregnant just keeping our conversations light and simple, but they always ended with demands to touch myself and I would plead and then threats and promises of what was going to happen to me when I finally returned home were spat into the phone.

"P-Please b-be gentle w-with Bella…I-I'm s-sorry!" I usually ended up crying.

I watched Carlisle rifle through the fridge he kept in his office. It had packets of blood in it, in case of extreme emergency. Edward heard Jacob think about giving Angela blood to drink since she couldn't keep any food down.

"You can g-give h-her some of m-mines…"

"You know that wouldn't be wise," Carlisle said.

"I-I'm not getting b-bit…it'll-"

"No…Aro said not a drop of your blood be spilled in no manner while you're here," Carlisle said sternly. He poured the thick liquid in a Styrofoam cup and placed a lid and a straw.

"I know you're trying to help but you don't realize you've been helping. With you being next to Angela during all of this and keeping her calm and rested…I couldn't ask more of you," he explained gently, reaching to stroke my face. I blushed and smiled.

Leaving him is going to kill me

We watched as Angela took the first sip and she cringed. I laughed at her and she kicked me playfully. I have tasted blood but it was always accompanied by the venom and that overwhelmed the taste of blood. Blood was tangy and tasted like metal to me but venom…

The sweetest darkness in the world…

The child whined and I quickly wrapped her gently in her blankets. A baby girl, when Angela thought it would be a boy she could loving call E.J. after her the two most beloved men in her life. Angela had been bitten and she was currently undergoing the transformation. Her labor was one of the violent things I had ever witness. The child grew so fast that it was literally breaking out of her. Angela held onto me for dear life, screaming and crying and I was crying because I could do nothing to help her. When her grip slipped and her life was leaving her, I was pulled away by Esme and Edward began to bite Angela all over as Carlisle began tending to the child. Because of the pact the Cullens had with the Quilete tribe of not feeding or changing anyone while they lived in Forks, the Cullens and the shape shifters were outside about to come to blows. To add more salt in the wound, because they didn't know or trust what the baby was, they were going to kill it. Carlisle and Edward were still with Angela and I went upstairs with the baby in my arms. She nipped my breast and I waited for my knees to buckle but nothing happened. I released a sigh of relief and went into my room where I shut and locked the door. I placed her on my bed where she wiggled free of her binds, smiling at me, her small hands making a grabbing motion. I felt warm and I couldn't stop the wide smile that broke across my face. I put her back in my arms and I began rocking her gently, her eyes growing heavy.

"You're going t-to love y-your mommy," I whispered to her.

"She's his singer?" Alice asked Carlisle. Angela still hadn't woken yet and Edward hadn't left her side. Rosalie and Esme were cooing over the baby. Because Angela was sure that it was a boy, she hadn't thought of name for a little girl. Angela's parents were under the impression that Angela had caught a deadly disease that was contagious, to make up for her sudden absence. They were happy to just listen to her voice. We all looked to Jacob, who was sat in the corner like a shamed dog.

"What's a singer?" he asked tentatively. Rosalie and Edward were not happy about Jacob imprinting on the child but they just smirked evilly and told him to wait until Angela woke. I pitied him then.

"It's like an imprint but for vampires, please…come from the corner. I assure you, nothing will happen to you," Carlisle said, gesturing Jacob closer to the group.

"What if Angela turns out like those newborns from last year…" He asked, getting up but only going near Carlisle. Carlisle gasped and his eyes fell onto me. I shook my head. He was going to tell me to go to my room until it was decided it was safe for me to be around her. I pouted and crossed my arms.

"She won't," I jumped at the sound of Edward's soft voice.

"How can you be so sure? What about your child?" Jacob chastised.

"It's very well past the time she should have woken. So I think…" The room fell deathly quiet. I felt something heavy drop down into my stomach and I quickly got up and pushed passed Edward and went down the hall.

Angela can't die…what about her beautiful daughter, her parents, Edward…?

My cheeks were warm and wet and my lips were quivering. With shaking hands, I opened the door where they kept Angela where I found her standing in front of the window, looking at her skin in awe.

"Why are you crying?" She asked, not looking up from the diamonds splashed upon her skin. I quickly wiped my face and began walking towards her and we embraced. She was beautiful, as she always had been but now…

Now…

It just enhanced it.

"Y-You're not d-dead!" I said, sobbing.

"Technically…"

"Shut up!" I said, hitting her. She laughed and hugged me tighter.

"Ang.." Edward said from the door. They quickly embraced and he spoke gently to her.

"She's beautiful…she looks for you, you'll love her!"

"You haven't picked a name for her yet," Jacob said to Angela as she shyly stroked her daughter's face. She sat on the floor on her knees next to Rosalie and the child was perched in her lap. Angela was tentative around her, still getting used to being a vampire. They still hadn't told her that Jacob imprinted on her infant baby…

"Bella, do you remember what your mom and dad's names were?" Angela asked shyly. I flushed.

"U-Um…don't…n-name her Elizabeth…after Edward's m-mother…"

"W-Well…E-Edward and I talked about it a-and…I e-even talked about it with Carlisle and I would be honored to name my daughter after you or y-your parents. So you have a r-reminder. You're my best friend."

My parents were glimpses to me now. I try hard to remember their faces but they are usually blurry images. I knew that if I ever had children, they would be named after them. Their faces were nearly gone but their names were never forgotten.

I felt my eyes well…

My life was a never ending darkness. I had good memories with Renata and the years living with Carlisle and his family was the best and they would be my warmth when I was drowned by the coldness of the vampires that drifted in the shadowsof the castle. They would come in handy when pain would rule over the pleasure because there was going to be pain when I returned home.

Pain first and the reward will be pleasure

So, Renesmee Carlie Cullen was the name they gave her. My mother's name and my father's name with Carlisle's and Esme's…it was perfect and the little one loved it.

Aro

Instead of a phone call, I got a handwritten letter from my beloved swan. She detailed me on her life and how she was enjoying her last few months with the Cullens. She said that Angela was beautiful as a vampire. She explained that Angela exhibited a large amount of self-control and Carlisle deemed it safe to be around Angela during her first few months as a newborn. She said she felt safe around Angela and Angela had even taken Bella for a run on her back. When I finished reading the letter, I handed it to Sulpicia and I looked at my brothers who were surveying me with expectant eyes.

"The deed has been done. Angela Weber is no longer a human," I celebrated. Caius growled and Marcus rolled his eyes. Athendora giggled and Sulpicia's lips thinned.

"So…?" I knew Caius wanted to get straight to the point.

"Oh! How rude of us! I forgot to send a wedding present to the beloved newlyweds. Please Sulpicia, is there anything to send the newly immortal bride and her groom?" I asked, looking at her and ignoring the bomb getting ready to detonate inside of Caius. Her beautiful lips curled in a smirk.

"Well, there is that lovely necklace that has one of the crowned jewels on it. You, know from the British royal crown?" She suggested, trying to keep from laughing.

"Ah yes! I can definitely part with that. You, Athendora, and Bella have the other three, so please, if you and Athendora could get that ready, I would very much appreciate it," I said. A snarl escaped from Caius.

"Why of course, my love," she stood as did Athendora and they both glided out with Athendora soothing Caius' snow white head as she went pass.

"When are we sending for Isabella?" Caius asked through gritted teeth. I chuckled throatily.

"Master Aro?" I heard Caius produce a sound of pure anger as Demetri and Felix came through the door.

"Irina from the Denali is seeking an audience with you. She says that the Cullen's have made an immortal child."
